To be honest it's pure garbage from the first to the end ..
Kiznaiver is one of those anime that desperately wants to be deep, emotional, and psychologically meaningful, but keeps confusing complicated , cringe and forced dramatic .
Basic summary of this show is - a group of teenagers are connected through a system that makes them share each other’s pain. That could have produced a genuinely fascinating exploration of empathy, trauma, emotional boundaries, and human relationships
In the name of pain story is just forcing characters in situations and then pretending that their suffering automatically makes the story profound.
Characters - Most of them feel less like real people and more like collections of exaggerated personality traits. One is aggressive, another is emotionless, anothe…

Whenever people talk about Studio Trigger, it's almost always Kill la Kill, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Promare, or Little Witch Academia. And I get it. Those are the shows that put Trigger on the map, and they're all fantastic in their own right but there's one anime in their catalog that almost never comes up in those conversations "Kiznaiver." I watched it years ago, and for some reason, it just never left me. It's not my favorite anime of all time, and I don't even think it's Trigger's best work, but every now and then I'll randomly think about one of its scenes, hear its soundtrack, or come across a piece of Mai Yoneyama's artwork, and suddenly I'm reminded why I loved it so much.
Kiznaiver is one of those shows that quietly grows on you. It's easy to overlook at first because it isn't a…

Coming across Kiznaiver was a stroke of great luck, because this show really deserves praise. I don't mean to throw around this term so lightly, but it really is underrated, and that fact is honestly quite a shame.
It's always a breath of fresh air seeing sci-fi used as a springboard for ideas that don't involve action and such in some way or another, and Kiznaiver really nails its genre of high-concept sci-fi. If one is looking for deep worldbuilding or flashy sequences, then perhaps this may not be the one to look at--but Kiznaiver is a wonderfully intimate exploration on the nature of relationships, and the bonds we make with others. If the thought of more 'friendship saves the day' platitudes seems to bore you, then you shouldn't fret. The show executes its ideas with exceptional com…

Kiznaiver is one of those anime I’m really glad my sister introduced me to, because I might have missed it otherwise and that would’ve been a shame. The series has such a unique atmosphere and concept that it immediately stands out from other shows. The opening alone is incredible. It’s the kind of opening you don’t skip because its just vibe every time. The plot is fascinating, mixing psychological themes, drama, and character development in a way that feels fresh and meaningful. Watching the characters slowly open up, confront their pain, and form real connections is honestly one of the best parts of the show. Each character has depth, flaws, and personality, making the group dynamic really engaging. And the animation? Absolutely gorgeous. The colors, the expressions, the atmosphere, eve…

Kiznaiver is an anime that aims not for the heart, but directly for the tangled knot of nerves where our deepest emotions reside. It’s a bold, often messy, and visually stunning exploration of human relationships that dares to ask: if we could truly feel each other's pain and emotions, would it bring us closer together or tear us apart? While its ambitious narrative stumbles at times, earning it a 7/10 in my book, its unique perspective on romance, friendship, and the inherent ambiguity of our feelings makes it a profoundly thought-provoking watch.
The central premise is a group of teenagers forcibly linked through the "Kiznaiver" system to share physical and emotional pain, serves as a brilliant sci-fi metaphor for the vulnerability required to form bonds. Where the show truly excels is…

For me, this anime is incredible! Even though I watched it 9 years after its release, it left me deeply connected to the characters.
What I find most incredible is how the author managed to adapt social commentary regarding the pain of others, friendship, and how emotions directly and indirectly influence those close to us.
This anime makes you reflect with indirect messages like:
"- If you don't know what you feel, how can you share that pain with others?"
"- When you connect with someone, you share your pain, your happiness, your sorrows, your stories."
"- Taking on the pain of others won't always make their lives easier; it will only hurt you more."
"- You'll never be understood if you don't speak your mind!"
The team behind this anime, overall, created a beautiful piece!! Deep and wel…

I usually don't write reviews since there's always a lot of them for most anime, and adding one more to the pile wouldn't make much of a difference. But this time, I felt the need to write one cause I find this anime in particular a little underrated.
Sure, I'm not going to say this is a masterpiece or one of the best anime of our time, but still, it is a very good anime in general.
I get that a lot of this story is about high school drama, and because of that, most of the mature audience who watch this is not really going to like it that much, cause it can feel trivial when compared to adult life drama. However, we've all been teenagers once, and we should be able to remember how we felt during that time, when we were starting to know the world and connect with people. And by remembering…

This is my first review on this site so it might not be that helpful.
I remember watching this in 2023.
Such a banger I'm still emotionally troubled to this day.
The story, animation, audio and just everything about this anime is perfect.
This is definitely an underrated anime and needs to get more fame.
More about the:
- Story:
I'm not gonna spoil so my review will be a bit plain. The story truly is unique, with characters and the overall cast being really well written. - Art style/Animation:
It really fit with everything. The details, you can feel the effort, and love that was put in it's making.
- Audio:
/ Voice acting:
The voice acting was top tier, matching-even surpassing-modern day anime.
/ Music
The soundtrack is really unique compared to most anime from 2016, with fire composers…

An insult to intelligence
The only good thing I can say about this anime is that it has a cast of very colorful characters that I regret that they belong to this nonsense. Bad script, bad character development, if you are going to use this anime as something to have in the background while you eat and not pay too much attention to it, it could work, but don't take it seriously.
The whole time I watched it I was reminded a lot of the Scot Pilgrim movie, a whole big narrative set up, with futuristic anime girls and technologically advanced companies to teach its protagonist how to say “please, and thank you” when he sees another human being. Because he's too retarded to understand human relationships, I guess, and by a miracle he's not losing drool when he talks.

A compilation of everything wrong with modern anime.
I guess it resonates way more with the Japanese audience because of the whole "tatemae" culture of Japan and difficulties with conveying feelings. And I guess the idea that you don't always have to know what's on the mind of others is actually good for building bonds is not that bad... but does it REALLY deserve a 12-episode long show? A first half of it is barely an introduction and the ending could happen 2 episodes sooner than it did. It doesn't help that the mood of the show is constantly getting ruined by awkwardly placed jokes and fanservice - whenever you are trying to take it seriously - it clowns with you. Somehow, despite being animated by trigger, the animation is terrible and there's still lots of cgi where it shouldn't be. A…

I'm still trying to process the emotional whirlwind that is Kiznaiver. I mean, I've seen some wild rides in my anime journey, but this one? It's on a whole different level. I'm talking tears, laughter, and existential crises - the whole shebang.
I remember binge-watching the first few episodes, thinking, "Okay, cool, another sci-fi anime with a weird premise." But then, something clicked. The characters started to feel like real people, with their own quirks and flaws. I found myself rooting for them, even when they were being straight-up annoying.
And that's the beauty of Kiznaiver - it's not just about the plot twists or the action scenes (although, let's be real, those are pretty great too). It's about the people. It's about how we're all connected, how we all hurt and heal together.…

Kiznaiver is a… upsetting story. It's a kind of drama with a small dose of sci-fi and “philosophical reflections”. Several interesting themes are mentioned throughout the plot, but practically none are discussed in depth. For all intents and purposes, they expect from the audience the conclusions that the anime should present.
Some gloomy things and many other morally questionable happen during the plot. Certain characters really get under the skin, and don't become better afterwards. The story progresses like this, without many relevant advances. Atrocities remain unpunished, sickly logics are basically romanticized and normalized, much suffering happens without any reparation. Character development also leaves much to be desired, it is completely unbalanced and selective.
The words are…

I love this show it's so criminally underrated. at first, I thought this anime was just another average romance with clichés aplenty. However, as I delved into the first episode, I realized it's so much more. It's the type of show you can binge-watch late at night and then feel empty afterward.
It gave me vibes similar to "Alice in Borderland," although not entirely the same. The story revolves around five teenagers abducted and forced to play the Kizuna system as Kiznaivers. Those participating are connected through pain, meaning if one member is injured, the rest feel an equal amount of pain. The first episode alone is enough to get you hooked, unfortunately this anime isn't talk about more often.
The characterization is excellent; each character is well-written and original. The art c…

It's pretty good.
This show has really cool concept, I think. And this series managed to squeeze out some really good episodes out of it. Especially episode 10, bro. That was crazy.
With all that said, I really don't like the romantic subplot that was going on. Some of them came out of nowhere, and none of them really came to a satisfying or desirable conclusions.
And some of these character's action and demeanor.. is really questionable, and sometimes irks me. It's pretty rushed towards the end, too.
But overall, this is a cool series. Favorite episode: You Knew Very Well That Your Romantic Feelings Might Be Unrequited, Right? (Episode 10)

I honestly loved the first few episodes of this anime but the direction it headed in the end was "We are friends and we dont need any system to prove how we can be connected through pain" is the most cliché thing that exists in anime. Its just another one of those "POWER OF FRIENDSHIP" type of animes.
I get it why some people love it - the characters were quirky and some are lovable. But if you are one of those people who are watching coz of the protagonist (cool and emotionless) then dont get into this coz the protag is cool and emotionless but in a different way.
In my opinion, watch 5 episodes and if you dont like it then drop it.

This anime is insanly good made.It gives goosebumps out of nowhere and hooks instantly. The main character is very relatable. He is numb the whole time, but you can slowly see how and why it is like that. His whole personality is mysterious, but throughout the story, people find out more about him and his past.So on people understand more of how he is build and why his life is so in shatters. But its not only him, its the whole group.First they are all very confused about the whole situation, but shortly the find themselves actually liking the "connection" between them. The feeling of not being alone anymore and actually sharing his deepest feelings. If people get philosical about it, you could even say that this anime is a metaphor for social media.Relatability,sharing,connection.Here its first…

It is so underrated! Just go and watch it you won't regret watching it.
It's about friendship and how we're connected to each other through pain. Art style is so amazing it will make you feel the story so deeply.
The idea of proportionally sharing pain among multiple people may sound like a pretty interesting premise for a series, but in Kiznaiver’s case it’s just that – a concept. Despite all the talk of shadowy scientific organisations, a grand plan for achieving world peace and some rather curious flashback foreshadowing, the main crux of Kiznaiver doesn’t do much in the way of carrying the show forward. If anything it’s just a method of getting all these wildly different characters together in the first place. Once the whole “if one person gets hurt the rest will feel it” thing is set…

I loved every moment of this anime I felt very immersed the whole time which has been a struggle lately with most animes. Obviously it had its cringe moments but what anime doesn't,it's not even really a bad thing. I didn't find any of the main cast annoying either they were all quite different. I feel as that people whould find the characters relatable in a lot of ways which makes them even more likable.im trying to find something to critique but I can't quite find one as of now thoroughly enjoyed 9/10. I hope to get better at reviewing as this is my 1st one wasn't really sure what to say kinda just expressed how it made me feel.

Okay okay, i gotta say kinda fell off after ep 10, but great concept, great execution, overall 8.5/10. The only thing that holds this back is the cliche ending, this anime THRIVED off of being a unique concept I wish it would have stuck to that till the end with a different ending. I would definitely recommend. Loved almost every part of it, especially the evolution of the Kizna's connection. I would think that people who are seasoned "anime veteran" might not like this much because it seems that after this came out quite a few people copied it. But if you haven't seen an anime about firmly connection complete strangers, this is a great place to start. Great visuals aswell!

Once again, it was one of those anime in my plan2watch list for years. I'm glad it landed on this one when i rolled the number from generator lol.
Oh man, It was like watching kill la kill again and I absolutely loved it! Yes, i know that it's from trigger but man do i love their art style. It was SO GOOD. Would recommend and already have recommended) to anyone who's thinking about watching this anime! Although i didn't really like the dramas happening one after another because it didn't feel right. Story could have been better but it wasn't that bad either. I really wish there was a second season because it seriously deserves it. Oh well, it was good while it lasted :')
