Introduction

It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words. In this case, it holds an infinite amount of secrets. These are secrets that only Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang are able to find. In a small shop called "Time Photo Studio," the two friends provide a special service: using their extraordinary powers that let them enter photographs, they jump into pictures brought to them by clients in order to grant their wishes. Through the eyes of the photographer, they live through the events surrounding the picture and try to decipher how to solve their client's request. But every time they jump into a picture, they take a great risk. One wrong move and they could alter the future of the person who took the picture... and possibly countless other events too. So when the events they are forced to live through in these pictures start to become personal, it will take the utmost strength to push their feelings aside and focus on accomplishing the task they were paid to do. This show is so well written. It sets up deep sentimental moments based on various relationships between family, friends, and lovers. If you don't cry and laugh through this series, you might be a clanker. The time travel component is definitely an interesting aspect to create the thrills and provide the story infrastructure, but the setup of emotional relationships is the series' true strength. I never thought I'd be the type to be into sentimental dramatic scenes and payoffs, but this show has changed it for me. Would recommend to anyone. UPDATE after S2: This show is competing for GOAT on my list now. S2 takes on more of a single storyline, and it dials up the emotional and thriller aspects up to 11. There's one episode in particular that follows the antagonist's journey from normalcy…

When I was making a list of Chinese anime that had a translation, I came across this work. At first I hesitated because it is a drama and I am not much of a fan of dramas, I rather have an aversion to it because what I have come across so far have been all made-up characters or unnecessary dramatic scenes in which the characters behaved tragically and pitifully, so I usually had trouble watching it. And as always, my intuition did not disappoint me here either. In terms of plot, it was great, which surprised me, only the characters spoiled it slightly with their unnecessary crying, I found it unnecessary there, but I forgive them all because the great ED that I always listened to saved it all. The OP didn't sound that great to me anymore.

Absolutely fucking incredible and time travel done in such a unique way - the animation is absolutely amazing and the sound design and OSTs are godly - I haven’t been locked into an anime or show as much I was for this in such a damn long time - not only is the story so damn intriguing and one that sucks you in but it is so emotionally heavy and something I just wasn’t expecting - after each episode it genuinely left me stunned - the plot twists and how everything adds together by the end is insane - I also love all of the main charachters and there personality’s are just so likeable - this is easily my favourite donghua and it isn’t close

It’s a slow, clear, easy to follow suspense series with a great premise, but emotionally it never hit very deep. Season 1 was helpful to get to know the main characters very well, how the technical concepts worked and expand upon them for later. The show’s format focuses on episodic tragedies with new characters, explores their struggles and wraps up within one or two episodes. This makes the series engaging and accessible but it also means the emotional beats rely on short-term characters rather than long-term development. Those who prefer deep, ongoing character arcs may find the emotional impact lighter than expected. Still enjoyed the starts of a time-travel, super power concept, it’s a good, well structured show, but Season 1 stays surface level emotionally and technically, and so S…

Link Click is one of those rare series that quietly starts off simple but gradually pulls you into something emotionally devastating, beautifully written, and deeply human. At its core, the story follows two protagonists who enter photographs to relive moments from the past. What seems like an interesting supernatural concept quickly becomes something much heavier — exploring regret, loss, trauma, and the irreversible nature of time. What makes this series stand out isn’t just its unique premise, but how grounded it feels emotionally. Every case they take on carries real weight, and the storytelling never feels rushed or superficial. It’s the kind of anime that makes you sit in silence after an episode ends. The animation is clean and expressive, especially during emotional scenes where…

This show is one of those shows which might be considered absolutely phenomenal by certain people or unusual and interesting at best by others. But one thing is that it's unique. Which makes it very memorable. If you like time travel, you'll definitely enjoy this. It has a unique take on it, traveling through photos, which adds a secondary theme of the importance of memories and the people we shared them with. It is a core theme of the show. All of the episodes are interesting, the cliffhangers keep the viewers on edge, the animation and the artstyle are amazing, the music is extremely fitting and extremely catchy, and the show itself might start in a lighthearted way but it's a really emotional show at it's core, tying into it's themes. Not only that, but it deals with realistic and relat…

This is 1/175 of trying to watch every single Time Travel anime on MAL Link Click, where do I start on this. This show is amazing, personally. It has everything I could ever ask for in a show. There's a great story, likable heroes, and a brilliant concept, and is the show that inspired me to start this series. What it's about ------------------ Link Click is about 2 best friends, Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang, who use their special powers to run a shop called the "Time Photo Studio" Where they fulfill clients requests to go back in time and do stuff such as easing regrets and solving mysteries from the past. Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang each have different powers. Cheng Xiaoshi is able to travel back in time using a photo, possessing the person who took the photo at that exact time. Lu Guang…

There are many very highly acclaimed time-travel anime. Steins Gate, Re:Zero, Takopi's Original Sin, and even shows like Summertime Rendering and Erased are praised for their creative uses of time travel to tell stories. Also at the top of the time-travel section of this site, standing at a very impressive 8.7 as of right now, is Link Click. This is perhaps the single worst disparity between MAL's rating of a show and the actual quality of a show. Shiguang Dailiren is garbage. It's truly incredible how this show manages to use time travel in the single most boring way possible. A lot of this stems from the show being very episodic. A client comes in, the main characters adventure into the past, learn about the client, and their story ends very soppily and sadly, which is more often than…

RemanTheArchean

This review covers the first 2 seasons, as well as the "Bridon Arc". The show is composed of roughly two parts: the mystery-thriller that's mostly centered around the time travel mechanic, and the melodrama that's more interested in side stories of various characters. At first, the latter element gets much more screentime, with the time travel being little more than a means to go from one story to the next. The first half-dozen episodes almost take on this "melodrama of the week" quality, which, uh, if you've read my Violet Evergarden review (https://myanimelist.net/reviews.php?id=574604) you'd know I'm not a big fan of. I think episodic melodrama is particularly hard to do well, and while the scenarios here aren't quite as unbelievable as they were in Violet Evergarden, I still didn't…

Link Click is amazing! The idea of entering photos is probably not necessarily groundbreaking, but it works and the creators do a great job with it. We have several exciting & touching stories here - absolutely all of them are touching - that will not leave you cold. Actually, I found it a bit too much, maybe I would have appreciated if some of the stories were not so pitiful, but it always worked emotionally, so in the end why not. The three main characters are pleasant and you will always root for them. However, what I have to mention here is the opening, which I really enjoyed and above all I have to add that the episodes went by like never before - the footage of the individual episodes seemed literally half as long to me, which has probably never happened to me even with my favorite…

Time Travel, Detective type, Thrillier…3 words that kind of sum up what the series is about. To give you guys more perspective, think about the game “Zenless Zone Zero” by Hoyoverse. They own a DVD shop that has hidden services. Link Click works the same way except they own a photography business with their own services. Link Click is something considered as “the hidden gem” sort of show. As soon as I read the synopsis, I immediately got interested. For the rating, one thing that easily raises its standards is its story writing and plot twists. The art is somewhat decent because well its a donghua, not an anime. The music IS AMAZING!! the background music fits the narrative, the opening’s catchy, and the ending song used as a transition is so impressive. Overall, I recommend the anime!…

I just completed an absolutely EPIC anime! It's the kind of show that reignites your sense of wonder and makes you feel like there's still so much amazingness left to discover. Here's how it hit me: Story: 10/10 - Absolutely captivating! Characters: 10/10 - So well-developed and engaging. Animation: 8/10 - Visually impressive. Sound: 10/10 - Really enhanced the experience. OP & ED: 10/10 - Instantly iconic! Seriously, the plot twists in this series were mind-blowing! I haven't been this surprised and impressed by a storyline in ages. And the emotions? They felt so real, so raw. I even found myself getting genuinely emotional during some scenes, which is saying something. If an anime can have that kind of impact on someone who considers themselves pretty tough, you know it's truly somethi…

"Chinese anime is indeed awesome, with its own unique charm, whether it's the plot twists, character development, or emotional depth. It always delivers new surprises that delight its fans, especially since this anime has a "time travel" theme, which is right up my alley. I love stories that are unpredictable and keep me guessing about what happens next. I'd also like to give props to LAN studio - I was blown away by how epic the basketball scenes were! All I could say was "WOW DAMN!!" - truly impressive. I'm a huge fan now and highly recommend this anime. I thoroughly enjoyed the story from start to finish, and it's become one of my favorites. Hehe :D

This is the best anime I've ever seen. Everything the textbook says about good writing: setup and payoff, show don't tell, character development, world building, depth, stakes, this anime has it all. It doesn't give you all the answers about the consequences of the time travel in the story right away, but rather let's you piece it all together and arrive at your own conclusions as the story progresses and things are revealed. And if you are wary of how the show presents itself through the posters and art (or god forbid, the fan made content), don't worry, this is a serious story without nonsense. It's a Chinese seinen, and you will see some Chinese specific culture in it. There is a Japanese dub if you'd like to watch it that way though (but the names are all over the place). What else i…

1st what great op and eds specially the ed love it... 2nd what fascinating time travel concept with more left to being discovered... 3rd there are other people too with abilities ...... . this just comes to whole another level of unpredictable...mad respect to this anime what great story telling..with each episode just being full of chills ,feels and not knowing what is going too happen ... . this is a easy 10 for me every ep has its own value and part in the story with them connecting the plot creating new discoveries i love this more for its constant plots than the characters which are usually the selling point for me ..... but i love the approach this takes towards character development not too much...but subtle which just sits right with the aesthetic or vibe of the anime ....from the…

Before I start, I want to preface since some people don't know or understand the difference. This is a DONGHUA NOT ANIME. Donghua is Chinese animation and the differences are NOT just the language but the production and storytelling. Please do not go into this expecting anime lmao, you will not get that. This being a donghua explains the slow start, that a lot of people who didn't like this series hate about it. Donghua, as far as I've seen tend to start off at a slow pace, so you dont get the full picture until like episode 5, however they do go really deep later on. Now here is my review: Link Click to me, is possibly one of the best series ever in my honest opinion, but just focusing on Season 1 I can still say its amazing. The animation is just beautiful and both the OP and ED are…

Link Click is one of those rare anime that pulls you in from the very first episode and refuses to let go. Its unique concept of diving into photographs to relive and even change the past is so fresh, and it’s executed beautifully. The story hits that perfect balance between mind-bending twists and raw, emotional moments that leave you thinking long after the episode ends. The art style really deserves a shoutout—it’s vibrant, smooth, and captures the mood of every scene perfectly, whether it’s a lighthearted moment or something much darker. And let’s not forget the absolute banger intros that hype you up for every episode. But what really makes this anime shine is the brilliant duo of Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi. Their friendship feels so real, with Lu Guang’s calm, logical nature balanc…

ALL I DO IN THIS DONGHUA IS CRY WTF Unfortunately, I don't think I will ever find something that made me time travel as a teenager watching every single episode in one go from night until morning. I love the gay undertones and the fact that it's not the most important arc in the story, they just ARE. The absolute commitment to the theme and digs deeper in its own concept. You're either crying from each episode or gripping the sides of your pillow from anxiety, the mystery is just HANDS DOWN SO GOOD and commits through the ending. One thing I would say though that eventhough Cheng Xioshi may be the most annoying character as perceived initially, he is able to shine through with his inherent ability to empathize with the humans he actually lived as and Lu Guang understands this fully…
