An unexpected goldmine of comedy and sex that shocks you when you see the date it aired. The fine borderline between am I watching porn or am I watching for the plot. Makes veterans think of how great we had it before the obnoxious mainstream holier-than-thou woke types discovered anime and immediately got offended by sexy women. It's a fun watch which is what all anime should be, especially since the majority are over the top in some goofy way in one way or another. This is just another form of that. If you can watch Food Wars, Kill la Kill, etc. you can watch this. It's about a magic girl who is on the "evil" side and takes pleasure in being a dominatrix against the magic girl trio she admired before she got her powers, who she now has to fight since they are enemies.

Anime ecchi has experienced a major decline in quality over the past few years, or rather, over the last 11 years. The gap between ecchi and hentai has become so small that you can find some ecchi anime whose story quality is practically on the same level as hentai, while in other anime, you can feel that the writer does not want to put even 0.1% of effort into the story, making it dull and possibly one of the worst things you could watch. But wait a moment! At least they give you a long ecchi scene purely to appeal to the audience's sexual interests. Well, this joke probably represents most ecchi anime from recent years. But is this only a problem with the writers? Absolutely not. Seeing an anime like Chained Soldier gain popularity and receive so much love makes you realize that the prob…

(Actual score - 9.5/10)
Overall, it was a really, really good experience with no flaws whatsoever - a very pleasant surprise.
ARTSTYLE
- Great; even though, at first glance, it may have looked like a standard style that many other anime have, it had its' own "flair" in this series - it struck a good balance with its' very fluid approach in terms of how things could look (exaggeration, more "artistic" / stylized presentation, etc.), w/o leaning into too over-the-top / ridiculous.
- The shading and lighting were very good, especially when it comes to how effectively it changed the look of characters / enhanced the atmosphere of a given scene at times.
DESIGNS
- Amazing; the way the backgrounds and such l…

This was a pleasant surprise.
I heard about this anime, and i know what it was about or so i thought, that it's an borderline hentai twist about magical girls.
But i didn't expect what this was really about at all.
I usually don't like stories that doesn't have any point to make, or any meaning, or any end game, but this story had.
it didn't seems to use the ecchi to cover for inferior story telling or loose ends, or to attract viewership, in fact i think the ecchi in this makes most viewers avoid it as the plague (me before being daring enough to give it a chance).
I can only say it exceeded my expectations, i was expecting ecchi and stupid BDSM jokes, but i got a deep exploration of human psych, the meaning of good and evil, why humans harm and make others suffer even tho they love them.…

A modern classic that stands on its own next to the greats of seasons past. More than just a gimmick or horny fuel, this anime will make you feel something deeper. The creative story and multi-dimensional characters come together to create a heartwarming tale that is a must watch for yuri fans.
An anti-villian protagonist with a double life is a unique premise for the magical girl genre, and its executed perfectly with Utena/Baiser (the MC). Her evolving motivations, identity, and relationships with the other characters are what drive the story forward. You can't help but root for her as she grows from weak background girl to dominant leader. Her obsession with magical girls is transformed from a passive interest to active hobby as she channels her (very gay) love for them into her activi…

jumping back into this challenge with both feet on the goon pedals i see. finally took the plunge into this show, i think, after seeing a clip of my annoying but low rise g-string wearing wife kiwi fighting the giant crying nun chick and clapped my hands in acceptance. "well", i said, with a sigh. "looks like i HAVE to check this one out." and boy, a truer title hasnt been seen in anime history. those girls, and i, sure do be gushing
you go into this knowing what it is. gushing is as gushing does. its an ecchi from the onset, and a pretty extreme one at that. id say this is comfortably between something like kiss x sis and interspecies reviewers in regards to the fanservice. a reasonable comparison would be something like the later seasons of to love ru when the gloves (and clothes) reall…

This anime. THIS ANIME. oh my god. All I have to say is it's really funny, the plot is actually interesting, but the amount of fanservice actually kills me. I get that it's an erotica, but the thing I have an issue with is that they are literally highschoolers.. that's the weird thing. Oh well, that's what fanfics and AUs are for; you can always age them up. I think the plot actually has a lot of potential and I enjoyed seeing the characters transform (some of the outfits were... interesting to say the least). The way Utena slowly realises she's a sadist but doesn't want to accept it, it's pretty funny how different she is when she isn't transformed into Magia Baiser 😭 I got a lot of good laughs from this show and I got attached to some of the characters like Utena, Kiwi, Korisu, and Sayo…

This is a show that seems to have complete contempt for its audience. The central premise is that main character Hiiragi Utena, is a huge magical girl fan, but as soon as she is given power, she uses it to exploit and abuse the girls she idolises, unable to stop herself exercising her perverted and sadistic sexual fantasies. Some shows are bad because they are painfully generic, or poorly produced, or maybe painfully dull. This show isn't any of those, it's bad because it seems to want to appeal to the basest of desires without ever even trying to deliver on that level.
Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete is a show containing it's own Rule 34. Utena is a girl with the power to make her own Rule 34 fantasies into reality, taking the pure image of magical girls and despoiling it for her own sexual gr…

Accept My Sweet Sadistic Love
Gushing over Magical Girls is the show about appreciating magical girls, and seeing them triumph and struggle against evil, and it's hot.
Fetish anime cum in many variants, some are complete garbage and not worth talking about, but then there are those that are executed so well, that they become masterpieces. this is one of them.
The characters are so good for this sexual comedy. They are so chaotic and have good chemistry and the funniest moments, It's a joy to see. and if you are a sadist then the main character will speak to your soul.
The animation is sexy, expressive and really makes the moments exciting to watch. The music works wonderfully it has a good comedic timing with what is happening.
It's explores the many kind of masochisms there are, and…

10/10 Big fan of magical girls, lewdness, and corruption of purity, and I'm especially a fan of finding aspects of all of that in this ecchi which has actual nudity, implied sex, meaningful characters, bonds, and character growth!
I didn't know that I was waiting for something like this especially because I never enjoyed yuri as a genre (and I still don't), but I believe it was the characters here being made with immense love that I cherish their pairings. Nothing is really out of place here and I enjoyed every second of it.
It's pretty wonderfully perverted to see our main character corrupt herself and others with her blatant sadomasochistic tendencies and how she becomes more comfortable with it as the episodes go on. And despite that it's actually wholesome, it's hardly a spoiler to s…

As a lesbian and magical girls fan, this was all I was hoping for in an anime that combines erotica with the magical girl genre. There is not a single male character in the entire anime. Instead, every anime we get peak yuri.
The main character gradually gets more confident as she embrases her sexual desires as magia baiser. For me, this anime taught me a lot on how being sexual, especially as a lesbian, doesn't have to be shameful or taboo. On her journey, utena also finds other people that accept her as she is.
Not only is this anime sensual, it's also (ofc) supersuper cute. The sounstrack and design is classic magical girl, which makes the whole experience feel even more exciting.
All in all, this is a genuine masterpiece and I'm super glad that I stumbled upon this anime (since I don…

This show tries to both be a serious, meaningful mahou-shoujo romp and a plotless ecchi at the same time. Needless to say, it doesn't work. It is incredibly jarring when scenes where the characters have deep interactions with one another are followed by inexplicable sexuality, and this juxtaposition happens repeatedly throughout the show, muddling any gravity the character interactions actually had. It feels like the writers haphazardly mixed together elements from standard magical girl anime and hentai without any attempt to reconcile the differences between the two genres.
If you're just interested for the anime titties, you'll probably like the show. But if you were drawn in by the interesting premise, then unfortunately, its insistence on gratuitous eroticism makes the delivery of th…

Make no mistake: even though "Gushing over Magical Girls" is technically categorized as an "anime", this show is more of a hentai than 90% of hentai shows out there. This show is very much in the "I Can't Believe it's not Hentai" genre, except that the content is very much a hentai. Every BDSM fetish that exists is basically in this show and happens to the magical girls. Straight up sex is graphically depicted on numerous occasions. The only thing that keeps this in the "anime" territory is that all of the holes are hidden, but the show really doesn't leave anything else to imagination.
What makes this show worth watching is that it is like watching a massive trainwreck occur with a semi truck full of fireworks which then explodes and causes multiple other explosions next to the oil-proce…

The Mahou Shoujo (magical girl) theme was a trend between the late ’90s and early 2000s. It was known for its flashy transformation style started by Sailor Moon, and character designs with eye-piercing bright colors. These elements formed a distinct identity for this theme, but over time, the spotlight started to fade and shifted toward isekai. Regardless of the fact that the decline in its popularity is due to the demand moving toward isekai, the magical girl theme, in terms of writing, is restricted by stereotypical constants that are difficult to bypass without losing its identity—compared to isekai, which is considered more flexible in its storytelling. The idea of being transported to another world smuggles the writers out of the restrictions of reality and opens limitless possibiliti…

I'm someone who generally doesn't understand the appeal of ecchi anime. Now don't get me wrong, I'm definitely a degen myself but I've always found them to exist solely for the fan service part because they usually just toss the actual plot out the window and at that point I'd rather just go browse some actual full-blown adult works. And I'm also not very familiar with Yuri anime. So needless to say I felt a bit frisky checking this out.
MahoAko is a story about girls' self-discovery, but not the kind you would normally expect in the medium of anime. This show is straight up a degenerate fantasy where the writers wanted to see how much they can get away with on TV and I'm very much surprised this ever even got to air. It is fully shameless and self-aware. The entire thing felt like a stra…

Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete is not a 7.6 out of 10. There is no convincing me that this is even remotely on the level of Ishuzoku Reviewers, which has a 7.4 out of 10. I didn't even hate this anime, but seeing the glaze going on for it is insane. At best this is a 5/10. The anime is a Temu Madoka Magica, it's nothing special. The first half of the series is a slog and gets better in the second half. Unfortunately, there isn't much going on for a story development. It's 13 episodes of magical girls, and softcore hentai scenes. Again, no hate, but let's be real, this is extremely overrated.
Animation 6/10
- This is as basic as it gets, with 2 or 3 scenes where Utena looks bad ass.
Sound 6/10
- Nothing of significance comes to mind, mid OP/ED, Utena has a good VA though.
Story 1/10
- There is…

I guess it was to be expected that I’d give this anime a high rating. There’s a lot of fan service and ecchi, plus it’s a comedy with minimal drama and I really love that kind of thing. But the problem is that the story itself is completely useless/uninteresting, so the characters don’t evoke any sympathy or interest either. The jokes are pretty weak, and honestly, I can’t recall a single moment that genuinely made me laugh.
It’s hard not to compare it with Interspecies Reviewers, where the jokes are better and the characters feel alive and memorable. Magical Girl Reincarnation is watchable, but it feels very clumsy and boring. Even the author seemed to realize this in one of the dialogues, the characters directly mention how dull and uninteresting their conversations are. On the positive…

Don't listen to basic ppl who only speak about quality of animation.
This piece is a psychological nightmare. Not because anime is scary, but because it seems like characters were written by real psychiatrist. Who main character was before and become after makes perfect sense. Each main character is shown traumatised one way or another, and their powers perfectly mirror their type of trauma affected personalities. The "trap" (won't say more) it's not just a trap, it's psychological trap that uses deep desires of captured.
Face expressions are amazing. And character behavior is more realistic than in marvel, and consistent with their personalities.
Animation itself may be simple, i'm no expert, but drawn very tastefully with good artistic touch. Some "action" scenes made noticeably better t…

I love the Animation and the Characters UwU :3 So i had to write a small Review just to get one more Recommended, trust me its worth watching <3
Gushing Over Magical Girls is what happens when your magical girl obsession gets way out of hand—and it’s glorious. Our sweet cinnamon roll Utena just wanted sparkles and justice, but accidentally ends up as the dominatrix queen of evil (oops). It's like Sailor Moon met Mean Girls at a cosplay rave and nobody left sober. With absurd villainous antics, over-the-top transformation scenes, and just enough plot to pretend it’s not all about the chaos, this show is the unhinged magical girl fever dream you didn’t know you needed. 10/10, would pledge allegiance to Magia Baiser again.

I came for the ecchi/hentai content, stayed for the characters and their development.
This show is not for everyone. No. This show is not for the majority of people who look at anime/series to consume plot, suspense, horror or mystery. This is for people who only want boobs and ass in anime and introduce them to plot and character development as important flavors.
Anyways, my main crux of reviewing this is that it is a well made show. The art/animation is good, the background music is to the point and serious when it has to be serious and comic when it has to be comic. The sounds and story boarding is top notch. The voice acting is phenomenal! Just everything about this show hits the upper 8 marks out of 10. The only undoing of this show for most will be the explicit content, fetishism a…
