In the final season it truly feels like just about everything has come full circle. Not only does it have some of it's most intense content here, but also it's best directed and animated, especially episodes like 3, 4, and 8. I also really like how long the epilogue is, being 3 episodes rather than some series having only one or a few minutes of epilogue. The ending in my opinion also fits, Deku inspiring everyone to lend out a helping hand towards others rather than doing nothing and waiting for a hero/police to do it. Being the shortest season out of all 8, I don't actually feel like it is too short. Some seasons did feel a bit bloated, as some had filler, but I'm glad none of that is present here. Overall this final season is truly something special.

Welp, I'm clearly not in the target audience for this show, typically I dislike shonens (cause most of them seem to be stupid, aaah!). But, eventually, I endured this one fully and might as well write a summary, this was a long run. Summary of all Hero Academia seasons, with heavier emphasis on the last ones, as those were recent ones for me.
(Btw, I watched this show in about 3 bursts of about equal length, making long pauses in between).
...review probably has minor spoilers (nothing too detailed), nope, i'm not using that spoiler warning trap button...
Pluses:
+ Nice character designs - the show has a lot of characters, and for such a big amount, treats them reasonably well. Especially in terms of looks. Many have some brighter features that somewhat distinguish them from the crowd. Th…

ONE LAST PLUS ULTRA: A Ten-Year Love Letter to My Hero Academia
Ten years, eight seasons, one quirkless boy: a farewell to the series that became one of the greatest lights in my life.
This isn't going to be just a review. I'm here today to pour my heart out for a series that has been a journey for me.
When My Hero Academia first aired in April 2016, I was at the peak of my final years of high school, and as an ardent anime fan, I had to see it. I'm so glad I did. It gave me the same high as every anime that has ever touched my soul, and it became one of the greatest lights in my life. It was the same kind of light All Might was for Midoriya shonen (Young Midoriya, for the dub crowd) the day they first met. That was ten years ago. Eight seasons, 170 episodes and four films later, that j…

It took 9.5 years for everyone to take the new-gen “Naruto” seriously, as it was labeled back in 2016 and even prior in the Manga sphere. The show wasn’t always great, but damn it did it have some iconic and very memorable highs.
I’m gonna address the length first and move on. I felt like we were robbed with this being only eleven episodes. The tension that the show left off with at the end of season seven was immense and hard to met, and surprisingly, for the most part, the final season did touch on some of those expectations, but it really did rush the topping in my eyes. The cake was still delicious.
Controversial as it might be, the ending did deliver on what the first season was alluding to. Plot points were resolved and characters had their self-centric arcs, but man, the imminent…

If you made it to this season, there is no reason to stop watching here. That being said, I think you may be disappointed based on the rank this season has on this site.
If you are deciding whether to watch MHA, I think it is important to understand that this show is very milquetoast overall, with an ending that is pretty satisfying, but safe and predictable. There are some really epic and sweet moments in this show, but they are bogged down by many boring segments that I do not care for. Ultimately, the show never really did anything surprising, which in turn did not make it very interesting. The final season focused on fight scenes and emotional payoffs, which is probably why it is ranked so high. Many of those emotional beats fall flat though.
The show and this season are a fine wat…

What an ending to an anime I didn’t even like in the first place. This season was pure cinema. The animation, the action, the art, the music, it was all amazing.
The first 4 seasons of MHA were fine, but not exceptional. The main problem with this anime is that the MC is not as likeable as its secondary characters. Midoriya is kind of basic, annoying sometimes and it’s hard to relate to a character that got very lucky in his life. Yes he was born quirkless, but he was given the most powerful quirk, making it into the most prestigious school of heroes which was his dream. Some will say that he was bullied and he was, but he didn’t seem like he gave a damn about it? Still chasing to be Bakugo’s friend when he clearly pushes him away?? He didn’t have any problems to deal with whatsoever, so…

My Hero Academia's final season is a total riot that finally stops messing around and goes absolutely balls to the wall. The fights are real chaotic, and seeing Deku stop acting like such a little wuss and actually kick some serious ass is a hell of a payoff. The animation is freaking mental, making every punch feel like it’s gonna break your darn screen. It’s gritty, it’s loud, and it doesn't give a darn about holding your hand anymore. Honestly, it’s a ballsy, sick ending that left me completely floored. The best way I can describe this season is that it is pure gold.

Wow. What an “absolute cinema” kind of season. It’s straight-up peak fiction. The glow up from the beginning to this final showdown is actually insane. The stakes are way too high, and the animation absolutely shits on J.C. Staff’s OPM s3, another superhero anime that should have gotten this level of animation. Seeing Deku and Bakugo go crazy and finally stop being so mid is insane. The emotional damage is real, but the way they wrapped up the character arcs is a real massive W. It’s a total vibe check that hits different, delivering the “absolute cinema” ending the fandom deserved. One of the best superhero seasons of all time, for sure.

i hope to have something like what this cast has. one day.
what an amazing show that i had the pleasure and time to watch. although i wish this epilogue was a lot more fleshed out at the end. it's okay, i'm still thankful that i got to watch it all. it'll stay a personal favorite of mine for a very long time. i don't think this Shonen is for everyone but it definitely suited my needs from the social aspects to the main storyline. this show kept is real throughout the entirety of it, and i didn't feel like i was cheapened out on it besides one part of it

This season is peak. From start to finish, it has a lot of emotional and hype moments that I think are done in the best way that this series could have done it. It has amazing animation, especially during a few certain episodes. The soundtrack is as great as it has always been, and the direction is way better than it was in the previous seasons. There are a lot of things that can be said about the series, but one thing I can say is that its sendoff was perfect. If there was any season out of this series I would recommend the most, it would be this one.

First off, production-wise, it is the best the series has ever been since season 2. Since the last season, the animation quality has improved, but this season is even more of an improvement with explosive fights, better animation and art direction. The music, whether new, remixed, or reused from previous seasons, is great and elevates the experience by a lot. The story finishes off what started in the previous season, with this season having arguably some of the highest peaks in the series. The climax of the series is one that stays true to what it is about and delivers emotionally with an amazing payoff for the protagonist and supporting cast. The epilogue was well-paced, and didn't drag or rush. The ending was polarizing, but it ends in a way that makes sense for what the story is going…

When I watch a finale, I’m expecting something that would raise the bar that reaches the peak and final season of My Hero Academia is a good example.
Bones studio seems to really put a lot of effort into adapting this final show that is concluding. Of course the animation was extremely flawless and running smoothly, I’m glad that what makes it better and improving. I also like the choices of sounds they used and landed at the right timing. Pacing is perfectly fine and visual quality is a lot better. Overall, everything in the show is cinematic.
Now the last fights. I like both Midoriya & Bakugo, they both really have dreams of becoming a hero for their reasons, their fights were incredible making them more heroic. Bakugo was awesome, he had a well written character development from the…

Greatest final season.
Honestly, it's a great season, it wraps up many storylines and character development, especially for Deku and Bakugo, both of whom have their most important fights and the animation in each one is visceral. The ending, more than anything, seems like a farewell to all these years we've been waiting for a satisfying finale, and surprisingly, it's a season without filler. It adds a final plot twist that I honestly didn't know was there, and it surprised me because in the final fight this anime keeps pulling things out of nowhere that actually work.
Even so, the first 15 minutes of the first episode are practically the last 15 minutes of the last episode of the previous season. Another thing, the last three epilogue episodes felt a bit unnecessary and just there to say…

I will just quote Aunt May from Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 2 here because it’s so true to Midoriya’s arc in the show:
May Parker: And Lord knows, kids like Henry need a hero. Courageous, self-sacrificing people. Setting examples for all of us. Everybody loves a hero. People line up for them, cheer them, scream their names. And years later, they'll tell how they stood in the rain for hours just to get a glimpse of the one who taught them how to hold on a second longer. I believe there's a hero in all of us, that keeps us honest, gives us strength, makes us noble, and finally allows us to die with pride, even though sometimes we have to be steady, and give up the thing we want the most. Even our dreams.

-It conveys very well the feeling of a big, emotional, cumulative closure, it doesnt feel like an improvised conclusion but like the point where many conflicts, wounds, and relationships the series had been building finally explode, it manages to feel important, theres clear emotional weight in the final confrontation, and it adds a lot that it doesnt depend only on spectacle, it tries to close not just the war but also the personal and emotional consequences, Deku's conflict, All Might's relevance even without power, Bakugo's role, and the resolution of arcs like the Todoroki family and the epilogue after the battle, it doesnt feel like just a chain of fights but a more complete farewell to the world it created, the pacing can feel slow at times and theres some overload of flashbacks or e…

The final season of My Hero Academia is pretty satisfying overall, but it doesn’t quite hit that “mind blowing” level. The story finally reaches its big climax, with intense battles and high stakes that keep things exciting.
Character development especially for Midoriya still feels solid. There are some emotional moments that really hit, especially when it comes to sacrifices and relationships. But yeah, some side characters kinda get sidelined, which makes things feel a bit underwhelming at times.
Animation wise, it’s still good overall and enjoyable to watch, especially during the big scenes. That said, the quality can feel a bit inconsistent here and there.
The pacing can also feel rushed, probably because they had to wrap up a lot of storylines. Because of that, some moments don’t h…

I never leave a review. I have almost 90 days of watch time I've never left a review.
This is not going to be a meta review, moreso the thoughts and feelings that I had after watching the final season. My hope is that in understanding how much I would have to be moved to write this out, you will understand why I personally find this to be the best ending to any story I've ever had the pleasure of expriencing.
My Hero is a story that has always put the "other" first. Everything the heroes do is for the betterment of others. A hero puts their body on the line for others. A hero cares about everyone. A hero can't help but think "how can I help someone else". It's honestly so moving for me. I think Horikoshi does an amazing job in encapsulating that. For all of My Hero's faults at the end of…

It’s been a hell of a ten year journey together with this series, which i still vividly remember watching the first season in 2016. Pure hype, who would have thought it will create a legacy in the world of anime…
The last season was as it was highly criticized didn’t had the best ending, which I also was angry first time. Though to be fair this season had the amazing animation along with beautiful soundtracks and incredible voice acting, as always. We can argue all we want about what it should have been but as a person who grew up with this series (after the big three) it will always have a special place in my heart. Sad to see this website has been gone so childish over the course of years and the comments are all just annoying kids who didn’t got their toys. I hope besides the entertai…

Just finished My Hero Academia season 8, and honestly, it flew by. Everything eventually hits the end of the road. It's wild that after almost a decade, this series is finally saying goodbye. It's been too long and too much has happened; now it’s time to deconstruct the whole experience and see how the ending actually landed.
The first thing to call out is the production and animation quality. If season 7 already showed a pivot in quality, this last one sends it even higher, especially during the peak moments. Loved the continuity, picking up right at the high point where the previous one left us. Pure adrenaline.
Without a doubt, the biggest action sequence—not just of the season, but maybe the whole series—belongs to Bakugo. What a fucking moment. It was a rush of frenzy that sets the…

It almost feels unfair to give this a number score. As the culmination of an 8 season, 4 movie series it has so much momentum riding behind it, I can't really picture another outcome. I can't sit here and lie saying there's no bad moments, slow arcs, or boring stories, but I think people saying things like that are missing the forest for the trees. This show is about heroism, what it takes to be a hero and how that in turn inspires more heroes. On the most basic fundamental level this series succeeds at what it sets out to do. A quick Youtube search for the "You can become a hero scene." will show tons of comments on how those words changed people's live IRL daring them to follow their dreams. It's simply an awesome prospect that a work of art can have such a profound effect on other peopl…
