Wait, that wasn't the visual style I had seen for the series...
I think that sentence sums up my initial experience with Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru quite well. When I decided to watch the anime, I didn't know the visual style had changed for the second season. All I was familiar with was the look of the sequel, and one of the reasons I gave the show a chance was precisely because I liked that style. So, it was a surprise to encounter animation with different designs right from the start.
That said, I don't consider the animation bad. It is consistent, does its job well, and successfully conveys the characters' expressions and feelings. Personally, I prefer the visuals of the second season, which I find more attractive and expressive, but that is a matter of person…

By episode 8, I already knew this would be a cut above the rest. It just has such an interesting cast of high school character that blend in so well. In the prospects of Romance animes, this is my clear favorite so far. I know it's season 1 and it's so obviously setting itself up for even greater things but I already love this.
The 3 main characters of the show are just so entertaining the watch. They seem different yet just mix really well. The side characters of the show help it even more and make it a down to earth enjoyable high school Romance Comedy show. The Love Polygon still needed some fine tuning but I'm certain it will be delved upon more in the succeeding seasons. Is it perfect? No but compared to the others, it's least flawed.

Watching the anime for the second time, you start to notice that this first season is more focused on the gradual development of the main characters and how their relationships are built.
Hikigaya, the main character, is honestly a very deep and sincere character. In my opinion, that’s what makes him stand out—he’s not someone who thinks he knows everything; he simply gives his opinion and says what needs to be said without holding back.
Yukinoshita is simply incredible. The way she interacts with others, how she solves problems, and proposes ideas for truly complicated situations is impressive.
Yuigahama is the one who brings energy to the group and makes everyone want to grow, in my view. However, in this season, she doesn’t have many major standout moments.
As for the animation, there…

My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU (Season 1) Honest Review
This anime is good… but bro I still don’t fully get what’s going on sometimes 💀
I started it thinking it’s a normal school rom-com.
You know jokes, romance, cute moments, love triangle, simple stuff.
But nah.
It’s like: 50% depression
30% Hachiman roasting society
20% comedy
Hachiman is funny as hell though. Man wakes up every day just to hate humanity 😭
His inner monologues and savage lines literally carry the show.
But the romance???
There are two girls Yukino and Yui and I kept waiting for a proper love triangle… but it never really feels like one. It’s just awkward vibes and emotional confusion.
And Hachiman himself is so weird.
I genuinely can’t tell:
Does he like Yukino?
Does he like Yui?
Does he like nobody?
Does he e…

This anime is surprisingly good. And well written. With good characters.
My initial impressions were bad. I was expecting a bunch of obnoxious one-dimensional characters who create drama for themselves.
But despite the main characters' flaws they are still likable.
The MC Hachiman is very pessimistic and cynical. He is self-loathing. But he also has alot of positive attributes. I'd describe him more of a realist.
You have the perfect girl Yukino. Who instead of being the typical smiling cheerful school princess who everybody loves is instead an Ice Queen which everybody hates. This is mostly due to her harsh and cold attitude to everyone. But she is also the kind of person who is always willing to help those in need.
You have Yui the very cheerful girl. But her cheerful attitude mean…

This content is underrated production. Therefore we need to give that anime what it deserves.
First at all:
Dialogues and monologues are perfect.Especially Hachiman's own monologues are absolutely good.I stunned with monologue which includes "I hate nice girls."statement.
Visuals:
I dunno if it is a coincidence but when I saw a scenery in anime it usually was a sunset scenery. It perhaps was the decision of Wataru Watari and i loved it.
Details:
I talk about this not only first season but also other seasons. For example when Hachiman drinks a coffee it changes according to his mood recently.
Opposition:
Hachiman and Yukino has some opposition. If we explain it basically:
Hachiman is alone and isolated from the people. He has a self-confident and he loves himself. He handles the problems with qui…

At first glance, Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru. feels like just another high school rom-com with a sarcastic loner as the protagonist. But what sets it apart is how it gradually turns into a sharp character study on social isolation, self-perception, and the awkward honesty of relationships. Hachiman’s cynical approach to social dynamics makes him one of the more fascinating leads in recent anime — not because he’s cool, but because he’s painfully self-aware and flawed.
The strength of this season lies in its grounded writing. Conversations are loaded with subtext, character interactions are awkward in a very real way, and there’s no sugar-coating the consequences of trying to “fix” people. Yukino and Yui are both more than just love interests — they reflect different…

Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru. One of the most beautiful and deepest anime I have ever watched.
Honestly, this anime is worth watching. The first thing I want to say is that the anime does not have the romance that some people expect.
Yahari anime talks about different types of people living in an exploitative or even purely innocent society.
The characters: Hikigaya is one of the strangest characters I have seen in my years of watching anime.
I am a person who loves school anime. I think that the similarity may not be acceptable to some, but I see it as such. Hiki's character in himself is like Ayanokouji from Elite Classroom.
The similarity here is strange. Some might say, do not compare this to Ayanokouji.
There is no comparison here. What I see is that Ayano…

A pretty good first season for one of the best and my favourite romance anime. Most people may see this as bland, slow or boring but this mainly focuses on the characters and their relationships over fan service, pretty female characters and weak, horrible relationships making characters seem forced.
Some of the best things about this anime is that every character actually feels like a real persom. The thing I hate most about romance is that the characters never feel alive, all of them are basic, forced personalities or just don't act their age at all like why are you a gang member in high school. However Oregairu does this very well, each character I could literally find people like them in real life, their motivations, actions, dialogue everything about them feels so good.
Another amaz…

Let me start by saying that I would be much harsher if My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU had only one season. I go into romance anime expecting romance but let me be so clear this first season has virtually no romance or plot whatsoever. On its own this first season is a slice of life anime and little more. I can only assume the romance eventually immerges in later seasons.
That all being said I did enjoy watching My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU even despite the lack of romance. This first season did a pretty good job establishing and developing our main trio of characters as well as some of the secondary and tertiary characters. I found the character writing to be pretty strong and I believe that to be the primary positive carrying this anime. Since there's not really a plot to speak of, they…

I was looking for an anime that contained typical anime humor, drama to some extent, and some depth. Well, I can say that I found what I was looking for!
Hikigaya is a loner type who wants to be lonely, not excluded by others. I can see that this state stems from the protagonist's past actions. If you experience misery continuously without any stress-relieving events, you would end up being a reject like Hikigaya.
Sometimes, he explains his observations on people, and I completely agree with him. He is right about the 'nice girl' issue. You can’t fall into a trap like that as a man.
The overall course of the anime is very smooth. You wouldn't get cloyed by excessive drama or comedy; everything is balanced.
However, it is bizarre to see how Hikigaya wants to be a loner but, at times, helps…

Oregairu isn't necessarily bad; it's a decent season. I mean, it could be worse, but not because of the protagonist or the plot, but rather due to the pointless and non- essential characters in the protagonist's development.
Hachiman, who has an interesting perception of others, is forced to change after his teacher, Hiratsuka, forces him to join the service club. This happens after a disastrous practice session, which she believes won't help him in the future.
To generalize, I don't want to explain every detail because, firstly, the secondary characters, aside from Yuig ahama and Yukinoshita, are empty, not bad, but empty. Zaimokuza is the only decent one because, although he provides comedic relief, it's coherent, which doesn 't appear in the second season. I find it sad because he was…

This anime resonated with me on a deep level, and I'm not ashamed to say it's now one of my all-time favorites.
As someone who's navigated the treacherous waters of social anxiety and feelings of inadequacy, I saw far too much of myself in Hachiman's acerbic worldview. His relentless self-deprecation and skepticism towards the notion of "youth" cut a little too close to home.
The supporting cast is equally well-crafted, with Yukino's icy exterior and Yui's bubbly yet vulnerable personality adding depth to the narrative. I appreciated how the show didn't shy away from exploring their flaws and insecurities, making them feel more human and relatable.
Oregairu's greatest strength lies in its thoughtful pacing and character development. Each episode expertly builds upon the last, gradually…

Welcome to My Teen Romantic Comedy where there's finally a main cast consisting solely of characters with alliterative names featuring: Hachiman Hikigaya, Yukino Yukinoshita and Yui Yuigahama.
These three main characters make up the romantic part of this romantic comedy though admittedly nothing really happens on that front during this first season. The side characters are very unrealistic for comedic reasons. There's a little sister who rates her own quotes, a teacher who resorts to physical violence, world's most masculine tennis player, an extreme case of eighth-grader syndrome and an obsessive yaoi enthousiast. These characters are quite silly but they do make the anime fun to watch. What I enjoyed most however was the dialogue between Hachiman and Yukino, they're both deranged in the…

I guess I should start by saying that I came into this anime with high expectations. I am happy to report that those expectations were generally met at first. Before I address why only at first, I want to talk about the show’s strong points.
By far the strongest point is the premise, it is fantastic. Hachiman is probably the most jaded high schooler I have ever seen depicted in fiction. Taking someone like him and forcing him to be in a club all about helping others just sounds like the perfect recipe for character development and I was here for it. The club is run by a girl named Yuki who is generally considered to be an ice queen and deservedly so. Rounding out our main cast is a girl named Yui who brings some much-needed cheeriness to the club. Our main leads have good chemistry when…

Of course,
Best Romantic Comedy For Me.
A lot of people say that even though the anime is called “Romantic Comedy”, it's more of a drama than a romantic comedy. Yes, this is true in a way lmao. But even though what I will say here without spoilers is limited, Hachiman is a masterpiece anime for me with its monologues and other characters. After finishing it, you may have a feeling of emptiness inside you, maybe you may be angry with the “Kan OVA” (you will understand this when you watch the OVA) but you will still remember that this anime is really excellent. By the way, one of the things I noticed while watching the anime for the second time was the difference in the art style. If feel studio didn't make the anime (I'm talking about the second and third season), it probably wouldn't be…

Note: This will be a review of all three seasons.
Overview:
"Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru.", roughly translated as "My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU" and generally abbreviated as "Oregairu", is, as the name suggests, about as unconventional as romantic comedies get, to the point that it can hardly be called a romcom at all. In truth, it's more of a study of youth, honesty, the difficulty of solving problems instead of avoiding them and the inner workings of relationships and social acceptance in general. The result is a very unique, interesting and complex series that I am truly proud to have spent my time watching.
Story (9/10):
"Oregairu" tells the story of Hachiman Hikigaya, an isolated, friendless boy in his second year of high school who, at the start of the serie…

Looking at the posters, and reading the title, you might be expecting for another highschool rom-com story. But apparently, it turned out to be quite "unique". How so?
My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, also known as Oregairu, or My Youth Romantic Comedy is Wrong as I Expected, for the literal translation (Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru.) is an anime where the characters live as highschoolers with various traits that can be found among them. Including friendship and romance.
Studio Brain's Base, animated the LN pretty decently. Despite the show has been for more than 10 years, the animations don't look "old". On the contrary, they look lovely and stunning. Hence, I can give the studio, Brain's Base, a good job. Can't forget to mention the OSTs (OP/ED) too, they are grea…

One of the best rom-coms in anime. It is very fun, calming and enjoyable.
It has one of the best protagonists, if not the best protagonist of all romance anime, with whom you can identify, and if so, it helps you see things from another perspective.
With very good secondary characters, good animation, good music and a very good couple that for me is one of the best in anime.
It also has a very good evolution in each season that makes you enjoy the anime even more.
I highly recommend it if you are looking for a good rom-com.

"My teen RomCom Snafu" says the title. Well, where the fuck is it then?!? This show is a disgrace to the RomCom genre!
Well, first off, there is no romance or comedy in this show. No, like for real the title of this show is a bunch of bullshit to bait you to watch a 13 episode trash with having no goal or objective in its plot. There isn't even a plot. There are just lifeless characters hovering around the map trying to force meaningless conversations with the most boring ass topics and thinking as if they are making some progress in the story. Pathetic honestly how the producers thought that this is even a least bit of entertaining. This is nothing more than some "not so funny business" if it was made into an anime. This is the most overrated anime I've ever seen.
Apart from the charac…
