It's truly a ridiculously funny one this is.
The whole story started out dull but then it became ridiculously funny.
Every character has their charm and I don't mean only physically.
Every bit of it is up to interpretation.
We are given most of the story but everyone else is dumb as a rock.
Fully loyal friendship, misinformation and misunderstanding used as a weapon is truly terrifying.
I wouldn't dare live in this world.
Give me a break will you?
How many rings am I supposed to wear just to survive? Might as well take a backpack.
LET ME SUMIT THE REVIEW ALREADY!!

Hmm.. still a good anime having good story line about the Krai done things like making decisions randomly and being ordinary (just using relics in emergency) taking out the situation, not just like regular hero in other anime world.
Still Thousand tricks has performed thousand trails but it really lead thousand parodies.
Still waiting to see whole grievers together, but only one question remain there how Krai defeated golem while investigation of Akashic tower really he use relic there still a mystery for me during ep 9 if anyone solve this I would be really happy.
I really recommend it for comedy anime watching user.

This show is the mirror of Eminence in the Shadow. In Eminence in Shadow, the MC is OP but wants to appear weak and his friends know he is powerful. In this anime the MC is weak but everyone thinks he's powerful, including his own friends. This dynamic let's this anime be much more humorous due to the misunderstandings. All around its a pretty good anime, I believe it should have a rating of at least 7.2

I watched Let This Grieving Soul Retire! between 7 December and 8 December 2025. It is a comedy adventure anime.
Story: The main character starts off quite weak in this world. He gains strength because of artifacts (mythical equipment) that give him power. He is also clever, so he becomes the leader of his party. In some parts, he also gets lucky. The rest of his party members are naturally powerful and talented.
The anime has emotion, comedy, and action, but the story is not strong enough for me to recommend it to everyone. If you want something just for time pass, you can try it. Otherwise, it is not that special. I would give it 6 out of 10.
Content Type: Anime
Genre: Fantasy, Adventure, Comedy, Shonen
Writer/Director: The original story is written by Tsukikage and the anime adaptati…

This anime is bad. No really, it is terrible. Yet somehow I kept watching it, and enjoyed myself more often than I care to admit.
The core idea is stupid, and normally I dislike stupidity, but maybe I was in exactly the right mood to enjoy it today (or maybe I am at the right level of autistic burnout that something this cheesy is exactly right)...anyway, you have Krai, a supposedly legendary leader of the strongest party, who is actually weaker than some background extras and survives entirely on freakish luck, relic gimmicks and relentless misunderstandings. People think he is a genius mastermind pulling strings from the shadows, when in reality he is panicking, whining about wanting to retire and stumbling into success like a man who tripped over a rock and accidentally discovered grav…

While watching episode 13, I realized my life is kind of a mess.
It’s the story of a human garbage who ruins other people’s lives for selfish reasons. Yes, 13 episodes of this.
The narrative framework is thin, endlessly recycling the same formula without the slightest spark of daring. The protagonist is assigned a mission—often a strikingly banal one—which he casually delegates to the first passerby. He then resurfaces at the very end, when matters are already settled or on the verge of being so, benefits from a fortunate turn of events, and is inexplicably elevated to the center of everything.
The visual style is serviceable without being particularly appealing, which is regrettable for a fantasy world. The backgrounds are rather flat and lack visual interest. Fan service is very much p…

Story: 1/10
It has a very generic fantasy setting and the plot naturally suffers from being full of those tropes. The writing is bland and only gets worse.
Characters: 5/10
I was actually surprised by how charming and even unique some of the characters are, but they all lack real development. Krai is particularly hilarious.
Animation: 4/10 It's not good. The budget didn't go into the animation at all.
Music: 5/10
Decent OP and that's it.
Enjoyment: 7/10
Despite everything, I still enjoyed this show. Hope to see more of Lucia.
Overall: 4/10
I'll watch the next part, BUT if you're looking for a mind-blowing anime, stay away from this one.

In a genre full of OP main characters that battle lv 1s it's not a bad idea to reverse the trope. Have the weakest character possible be the leader and surround him with OPs in world where even a magical puppy could cuddle him to death, literally.
If you've heard about the show "Eminence in Shadow" then this is the kind of character that MC is aspiring to be.
The mysterious guy manipulating events behind the scenes. Who is operating on a level far beyond the comprehension of mere pawns. MWHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Well, that's the image anyway. The whole joke of the show is that it's all a bluff and the MC either lucks into these situations or the characters twist his words around to fit the narrative.
Premise is 10/10
Execution though is more like a 6/10.
Watching someone with zero motivati…

Finally We got another anime of this kind after Eminence in shadow
Usually in other anime mc pretend to be weak when they are actually strong. But here my guy is weak as fk but he has to pretend to be stronger lol .. and beo has some crazy luck it's like the gods them selv's are working to make this guy look good .. 🤣🤣
He is not your typical mc. Bro is a unique piece .. no the entire anime is unique every part of it 🤣
The character of Krai was made for only two types of people either hate him or just love him because how funny his monologue and circumstances are.
There opening style is quite different and unique .. i like it.
What man i like the show very much the comedic misunderstanding is so funny u won't stop laughing when you remember a scene or tw…

I disliked the main character, gave it a watch cause I found the premise interesting but it really fell short. They try to characterize Krai as a whimsical, carefree, mysterious guy, but he comes across more as lazy and a loser in my opinion - he doesn't have anything redeeming, but it feels like all the other characters reach up around and into their azz to justify his behaviour due to his status. I found it irritating that he keeps asking "WHY ARE U ASKING ME?" when other characters look to him for help when he is the clan master... bruh.
I can handle a lot of things, like I'm used to cliches and I'm used to fanservice or bland female characters that love the MC just for the sake of loving him, but the MC really sucks the most in this trash action anime. The second character I disliked…

This is an absolute guilty pleasure to watch! The protagonist has effectively no faith in himself, but his skills and leadership are next level. I love seeing a story where the brilliant leader does not value himself, because most shows center around the "new recruit" as opposed to the longtime leader taking everything in stride.
Say what you will, in the end this anime feels more like a work place drama. In this case, the leader is someone who is just doing their best to lead people that depend on him. Just like real life, it is a combination of having an excellent team and a lot of luck. You can always work harder and whatever, but in the end the person who can network, and lead others effectively, will often be the most ludicrously successful. tldr, the most effective leader is not the…

You have all seen anime where the main character is insanely OP for no reason, but you've never really cared why only they get to be so powerful. It's just a feel good story, no need to think too much into it. This anime is pretty much the same concept, but instead of being insanely OP the mc is insanely lucky. It's a kinda hard to accept it at first if you come from watching OP mc, because this one is so weak, weaker than a child, but that does set up it up for some hilarious situations, when everything just works out for him.
Of course there are still some questions left unanswered as to why his friends, who are close to him, think of him so highly, but this is just the first season so it's fine.
Overall it's a fun watch if you're open minded.
Edit: Actually if you're coming from watc…

I think this show will appeal more to those that like an OP MC, though this one is not overpowered in the traditional sense. Krai basically has something going for him such that everything he does happens to work. Its left to the audience to surmise why or what causes this phenomenon.
Animation: 8.6/10
The fight scenes are well done. Nothing is particularly ground breaking however throughout the show quality is consistent. The power/impact of attacks is usually conveyed well. Smaller details like characters not blinking still exist, but then again almost all anime leave out the small details like that.
Story: 9/10
Much of it is based on humor deriving from Krai accidentally predicting a danger or people believing he had intricate plans in place when in reality he just wants to stay out o…

At last, a story about weakling protagonist who is actually weak! No hidden powers, no niche skills that turn out OP. Just a lot of misunderstandings and luck. And somehow he manages to be much funner and cooler characters than many of those others.
I generally like stories with overpowered protagonists that don't have any tension, because I know they can deal with anything easily. Who would have thought that exact opposite, a super weak main character, will be just as relaxing? Yes, it's a lighthearted story and despite having some serious plot moments, it always feels like watching a comedy. I guess it's partially thanks to Krai, who is so clueless that he makes viewers not care either. Now, don't get me wrong: this anime has surprisingly decent story. I don't mean some overarching plot…

Kinda disappointed when the main source (web novel and light novel) are such a masterpiece, but it's getting mediocre anime adaptation at best.
This series is like Eminence in Shadow or Overlord, except the MC is truly weak. Looking on the main source, it has the most creative way of writing I've ever seen, and you wouldn't expect the plots and the outcomes from MC actions (which is why I would rate it above Eminence in Shadow, story-wise).
The MC is quite bland, but the people around him is the one who made this series great (from just a normal friend to straight up a criminal lmao).
Sadly, the anime adaptation couldn't live up the makn source. Tons of unnecessary fanservices. Mediocre visuals and actions. Unnecessary narration. Etc etc. It's hard to recommend the anime. It's better…

My favorite anime of the season. I'm very excited for season 2.
The good:
It's funny, it has good action, it's well paced. The main character is a character who fits the "weakest character" archetype. Except that his luck stat would be maxed out.
He's totally incompetent, rode his childhood best friends coat tails for awhile and got promoted to a higher position. All the while everyone misinterprets everything he does as being part of a genius highly calculated master plan, which based on the fact everything has worked out so far resulting Thousand Tricks legend growing ever larger, despite his desire to retire and be lazy.
The Meh
It's good comedy writing but bad drama writing. The plot is driven by stupid decisions and misinterpretation of the main characters actions. That is a…

This anime is basically the definition of “How the hell did this even get animated?”
Our MC, Krai Andrey, is not a genius leader, not a secret powerhouse, not even an underdog with hidden potential. Nah bro, he’s literally a walking NPC with god-tier plot armor. Zero skills, zero awareness, zero braincells. The only reason he’s “leader” is because everyone around him is written to be even dumber than he is like the whole cast took an oath to make him look smart.
Liz, the heroine, clings to him like superglue. Their “relationship” is… what, exactly? Girlfriend? FWB? Emotional support animal? Honestly she feels more like a dangerous pet that just happens to sleep in his bed. There’s no depth, no humanity, just cliché fanfic energy.
Then we’ve got Tino Shade, Instead of character developm…

One of the major surprises with this 7.0 rated anime, that it is very enjoyable. I can't understand why this fun show is a 7 but Frieren is a 9+ where I was in pain just to get the first episode finish.
The world of this anime is fantasy/adventure but a rather simple one. There is no need to understand elaborate mechanics of complex magic or magical beasts. The adventurer classes are pretty standard and power ranking is numerical with the MC being Level 8 puts him at the top. Early on the premise of this story is about a weaking adventurer being the leader of an over powered party and everyone else thought he was the most powerful of all. So our MC went through the trials of his role as a party and clan master governing adventurers (they call it treasure hunters) who are way stronger tha…

The entire premise of the story is that the mc is weak. The weakest one even. There is absolutely no power leveling, everyone stays at the same level throughout and there's just the most basic and predictable plot armor surrounding the mc. The plot is- "Oh powerful enemy! I must defeat it before the mc does to prove I'm strong" and then the mc has to step in, winning with absolute pure luck.
The plot never changes, characters are introduced as always, there's very short lived fight scenes, and the mc just does random stuff to stay out of trouble, which always turns out to be an amazing strategic "plan" and everyone praises him for it. It just felt like a form of how King is seen in OPM, but if the entire anime revolved around that, and there's a point where the same premise being used ov…

This is quite a fun series, one of those switch off your brain, sit back and just enjoy the mindless fun type series.
There is nothing amazing about it, and there is nothing bad about it either,
The animation is good, it doesn't descend into bad CGI, or into a collection of still-frames, the action is smooth, but it doesn't do anything amazing either, it isn't flashy with amazing fight scenes and impressive animation, it's just good, I would say it looks like your standard anime of its type, but that is no longer the case as with bad CGI and low budgets being the norm.
The OST is once again good, it's what you expect, it's what you want for a series like this, it doesn't make you want to skip the OP and ED, but nor does it make you think it's amazing and unskippable
The story works, i…
