This was very good, surprisingly good.
Almost nothing in common with other anime in the same genre or with similar score.
The MC is smart, cunning, morally grey, and the show itself actually takes itself seriously.
I thought it was going to be another generic fantasy but I was very wrong.
The title of this show is very misleading, it really sounds like generic trash fantasy that you get by the 100s each year but it's not.
Is the MC OP? I wouldn't say so. He is strong but he is by no means OP, almost every fight in the show has stakes.
I really must stress how much I like the fact that this show takes itself seriously. There is no comedy / funny bits here, and this serves it well. There is also no romance aspect at all. Looking at the poster's bigboobed chick with white hair may mislead y…

The first time I watched it in one go (at night) and rated it 9. But then one year later I decided to re-watch (one episode at a time).
Because of my interest in writing since then, I've been able to spot so much bad writing; I can't believe I rated it so high back then. Characters act unreasonably. There is so much explanation through dialogue that it looks ridiculous. There is no way characters would say that. It was made to tell viewers what the author wants, not to drive the story. Some characters do horrible things and try to blame others as if they were not the ones responsible. Villains are crazy and unreasonable.
The MC is very ambitious. Unlike some annoying goody two-shoes, he is sly and cunning, ready to use whatever means available for his advantage. It is the redeeming trai…

This is an edgy MC anime. That's why you'd watch it. The protagonist is a total jerk, and this isn't the typical anime antihero where he's only bad because he has to be, but otherwise has a heart of gold. He's a vindictive asshole through and through. Getting away from the typical anime morality system is a big part of the appeal of this show's premise, though I think it's a bit over the top at times. I'd like an anime to do the more subdued villain archetype found in the Sopranos or Gus from Breaking Bad. This is more of a "13 year old trying to be edgy" scenario -- selling people that double-crossed you into slavery, callous disregard for damsels in distress, that sort of thing. The show does deserve credit for actually maintaining the evilness throughout it's runtime, as many other show…

An Edgelord's Fantasy Power Trip
The anime has somewhat of an interesting premise, but the execution feels overly edgy and repetitive.
The story constantly bends itself to make Noel look "intimidating" and "cool", especially with the forced glowing-eye scenes that often feel completely out of place. MC's "manipulative" personality quickly becomes exhausting - nearly every scenario conveniently supports MC's perspective, making the supposed "master strategist" aspect feel artificial rather than earned. Instead of smart storytelling, the series often relies on everyone else acting incompetent so the protagonist can look superior. The supporting cast is also underdeveloped, often existing only to praise or follow Noel.
The guildmaster knows how manipulative and dirty Noel plays, yet keeps…

I don’t know why it’s not popular and there’s no 2 season. The narrative is much better than in many stupid anime. It somewhat reminds of code geass. Characters and approach are quite unique. I recommend it. But it feels unfinished. The guy seems brainwashey though.
The strong point is that guy gets all kinds of insults about his looks, being weak, fragile, lower etc. But he doesn’t budge and he chews his opponents asking himself for a duel. He defies traditional wisdom. He grinds and it feels deserved and difficult. Guys who’re much stronger than him give up, quit. This aspect reminds of The rising of a shield hero. You can check this out if you liked the genre

Story
If I had to describe this show in one sentence, it would be: A dark and gritty fantasy that trades "power of friendship" clichés for cold manipulation and realistic world-building. The story remains consistent throughout the whole season. It is refreshing to see an anime that reveals the true, often ugly colors of adventurers, who are usually portrayed as perfect heroes in other fantasy shows. It feels much more realistic, showing that this world has bad people, cartels, and corruption.
As for the protagonist, Noel is extremely disciplined and has trained very hard, but his class is simply not designed for combat. Because he cannot compete in raw strength with other classes, he has to use every trick up his sleeve to achieve victory. He is constantly gathering information and using…

Very good! Focuses on the writing and characters, making you care about their journey. Avoids common tropes like being a total harem, which means it stays rooted in being an actual Fantasy story first. Each episode progresses through the steps of constructing a team. The morally questionable choices make it even better, because they parallel real-life business choices.
Doing things "for the right reasons" can only go so far, especially if your goal is to be the very best. If this interests you, absolutely watch the first episodes to get hooked in. Note the first episode is by far the weakest, but is only because the additional setup is not necessary.
If you get tired of characters skipping important moments off-screen between episodes, then this is the show for you. It walks you through…

Alright, I’m not in the mood for a long one today, so let’s get straight to the point.
We’ve got here a great example of a solid protagonist. He’s not stupid, not overly nice, he just does what needs to be done — and screw whoever gets in his way. Honestly, considering how absurdly common those “too good, too selfless” main characters are, Noel being the way he is feels like a breath of fresh air. Another strong point: the characters. Alma and Kouga are great. They flirt with the usual tropes of the genre, but once you get to know them better, they’re actually the complete opposite of clichés. They’ve got depth, history, and they’re broken in ways that make them human — and that’s a good thing. They’re not just “I’m…

A fantasy world, but this time it’s not about adventurers, rather explorers. The writer could change the name to break away from the usual conventions. The story revolves around Noel, whose dream is to achieve the same title as his grandfather, the greatest explorer. However, he lacks any significant powers, relying solely on strategy and charisma. He is determined to achieve his dream no matter the cost or reputation.
The world is open and resembles typical adventure stories, but it stands out with the emergence of what I’d call demons rising from beneath the earth, each belonging to a different class, becoming increasingly difficult as they grow stronger.
Noel, the protagonist, has a very distinctive and charming personality. At the start, we’re given the motivation behind his determin…

Being an anime that differs greatly from the usual trend, The Most Notorious "Talker" Runs the World's Greatest Clan embarks on a captivating fantasy journey, without succumbing to isekai. Those wanting airtight worldbuilding from episode one or a conventionally heroic lead may find the early pacing and tonal pivots uneven, though the concept and execution remain compelling across its 12-episode run.
We have a protagonist with questionable morals on a sort of anti-hero’s journey, whose methods and rhetoric become his true weapons in a world that values strength above all else. From the first episode, the plot makes it clear that predictability is off the table, and that our “hero” is willing to do anything to reach the top, leveraging the Talker role far beyond its supposed limits.

Noel isn’t a super genius. But he’s super lucky. And his personality makes his situations kinda watchable, though there is nothing extraordinary or new.
So why am I rating it 8?
Because I’m a manga reader. Call it biased or not… I liked the manga. The anime stays faithful, but it feels phoney or to be exact, it lacks depth.
100% unique stories are rare. This one mixes a bunch of common tropes. It reminded me of Tomodachi Game, which had more complexity. This one doesn't.
Still, it’s a good one-season watch. Not strong enough to make me care about future sequels.

>>> The Review has some Ideas that are not really Spoilers but could be if you're Smart enough (XD) <<<
The show may sound like any typical recycled themes of Isekai/Fantasy where the MC has the "weak" title or the "support class" but then becomes the most OP for absolutely no reason except for plot armor, but this show is waaay different from a long shot. It actually tries to be logical with its theming and plot points, and gives life to a nontypical MC who is charismatic and well loved.
- The Voice acting in the series is BLOODY 11/10... The voices of the characters really gives life to their personalities, emotions, and even the situation at hand.
- Animation isn't really Jujutsu level or Kimetsu but its not trash at all... Its actually captivating although I could say that it could…

The life of heroes is not a fairy tale
Hundreds of series of a similar genre suffer from cliched characters. Some are good and for everything good, others are bad and for everything evil, and the rest are details. Under the guise of originality, sometimes you come across titles about "good villains". It would seem that it is difficult to come up with something new here - but in this case, the authors at least tried.
Despite the quite standard plot (the hero gets a weak class and still plans to come to success with it), Noel Stollen is not at all a typical shonen central character, consistently following the rails of the plot with the help of loyal friends.
The world of anime is not divided into clearly good and bad, and therefore is quite realistic. You can come to an agreement with loc…

I'm going to go ahead and defend this series. Reading comments and reviews during and after release my feelings toward this series felt like a hot take. I enjoyed it! Alot! The MC is twisted pleasantly imo and this adds a nice spin to the traditional fantasy genre. I felt he and even his sidekicks were somewhat fresh and entertaining to watch. The MC is selfish, but not in a childish way I always thought he acted in character and never annoyed me personally.
Is it pure cinema? definitely not... Months later I had to dig to find its name and my memory of the series is rather cloudy at this point since it is still fantasy/harem slop in the end even with a darker edge. For me that's a guilty pleasure and my lingering positive feelings would love a sequel.
Watch if you like fantasy with a d…

This show does exactly what the title says. You do not like the main characters by the end of it. You might like one, because she has enough underboob for the whole class - but she is literally a walking red flag factory. It is silly OP MC garbage, but the guy is also consistently trying to set people up to pull them into his power-base. Nothing he does is really kind, but you become so desensitized to it, that you start to actually get pulled along with his logic. You see the effects of his manipulation, and calloused responses to what is happening - which is in stark contrast to white knight good guys that you see most everywhere else. If you want to see the proof of how well done it is, go read the complaints and reviews. They don't even realize how fucked the ending of the season is. I…

Let's see what we have here:
☑ 16-yo OP MC that looks like a ripped 25-yo
☑ MC character design that's clearly meant to satisfy at least one fan/fetish group
☑ Weakest but actually strongest MC
☐ Production quality (sound, art, animation, ...)
☑ Betrayal & revenge plot in the first episode
☒ Passive / timid / simp MC when dealing with the other sex
☑ Power-obsessed edgelord MC
☑ Scantily clothed "big-sis" ☑ Enough common themes and tropes that are however *not* executed poorly
It's on the upper side, you should watch it before you spam the rest of the trash-tier isekai of recent seasons.
I watched once before giving it an ~8 rating, and I'm now rewatching it a few months later to see if I agree with my initial assessment. I've watched 3 episodes so far and I'm slightly biased towards a…

This show was definitely a bit of a mixed bag.
It took the typical "I want to be the greatest" plot and flipped it on its head. The MC, Noel, is not a good person. If anything, he's kind of evil. But there is logic to everything he does in the show and watching his little schemes to get ahead is what makes the show entertaining. Although the show would have benefitted from showing a little bit more of Noel's set-ups instead of plopping them down on the table most of the time. Even still the aspect was interesting and held my attention.
Contrarily, I don't think the show did enough at the end of the season to really end with a bang. It was honestly a bit disappointing. The ending, Noel's flip-floppy morals (which I think was a writing issue), and some poor animation in the latter half of…

even with 12 episodes the show failed to make me like a single character. before watching, I was intrigued how this show could make a "non-combat class" a strong leader, but then I remembered that I exist in a time where every single "weak class" anime doesn't even entertain the possibility of having an actually physically weak MC.
Noel Stollen, the lead character, lives and breathes the notorious tag he is given. it's actually incredible for a show having the word "talker" in the title to have one of the most annoying, uncharismatic, and abrasive pricks I have seen in the recent years in fiction. and you are supposed to side with him.
no one in the cast, and I really do mean, NO ONE in the whole show challenges him in his views. he is always in the right, and the people he pesters ALWA…

The MC is described as having a silver tongue and being a good leader. None of that is true.
He is narcissistic and cruel, a pure villain, he will ruin the lives of innocent people for his own gain, while hypocritically being angry and acting self righteous when others do the exact same thing. He has no qualities of a leader, he never inspires people or gets them to follow with his charisma, but by pure manipulation, threats and logic of a 12 year old edgelord, that the characters around him are somehow stupid or crazy enough to accept. Logic that I might ad is totally hypocritical and straight out stupidly wrong.
The biggest problem I have with the MC is that he obviously isn't supposed to be a villain, there are attempts to humanize him, and to make it look like the things he does are…
