Ragna Crimson

Ragna Crimson

Introduction

Said to be humanity's natural enemy, formidable dragons that belong to an ancient bloodline roam the world. Only two ways prove effective to kill a dragon: freezing their blood with silverine—an aura that comes from silver weapons—or letting their bodies be incinerated by sunlight. Young hunter prodigy Leonica is accompanied by her close friend Ragna, who appears to lack the skills necessary in their profession. Moreover, many shun Ragna, considering him cursed because dragons always seem to attack him and slaughter his close ones. Nevertheless, Leonica sees potential in Ragna and gladly partners up with him. Likewise, Ragna feels certain that Leonica is immune to his misfortune thanks to her incredible strength. His confidence is shaken, however, when Ragna dreams of Leonica's death, believing this to be a prophecy. As the destined day arrives, he comes face-to-face with his future self, who bestows him enormous power and memories from the future to ensure Leonica's safety. In order to succeed, Ragna must join forces with a mysterious figure known as Crimson and eradicate all dragons for good. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Its an okay anime. Actually starts pretty great up until ep7-8. Afterwards unfortunately the pace slows dramatically, there is too much talking but not much substance to the talking, and too little happens. Then for around 10 episodes you get basically 1 big fight (and the preparation for it), and honestly for how much screen time is given to this one big battle, it is not nearly interesting enough. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, but it's just not good enough for how much time the show spends on it and not much payoff at the end. So after the big battle we move on to more battles, this time faster and a lot more things are happening; the visuals are great so I think this helps a lot to make it look cool and entertaining. Unfortunately the pacing gets too fast in terms of all the things…

This anime is some of the best action slop anime. Thats why its so good, Although it takes time for it to find its true footing its truly a captivating ride for the rest of the show. it uses the tropes well It has a sense of humor and it can see the absurdity in its setting. Characters were good, although at times the intial protagonist will feel one note due to its well rounded cast its made up for a well of complex characters. Despite the amount of honestly ass pulls the series did conduct it never felt contratived every character acted realistic. They never did anything beyond what they shouldve. Its not a life changing anime but its enjoyable. Its if someone took the fundamentals of storying telling and followed it to the tee. If you have time give it a watch.

The anime features a badass protagonist—albeit a somewhat sad, whiny, and hateful one. It’s an entertaining watch that’s easy to get into, though I feel he sometimes loses sight of *why* he’s doing what he’s doing. The animation is excellent, and the show isn't afraid to kill off characters; at times, it feels like anyone could die. You also have to keep in mind that time travel and similar elements are involved, so the story isn't exactly linear. The character design is great and visually appealing; there’s a diverse mix of characters who are quite distinct from one another, which makes the series more dynamic—a welcome touch. The main character is a bit one-dimensional, but he gets the job done. The soundtrack is nothing special, but the story itself is good; it’s a shame there isn’t mor…

"Calling Ragna Crimson trash just proves you have a TikTok attention span. 💀 You’re used to generic MCs getting video-game cheat codes while the side characters act like a cheer squad. Ragna Crimson gives you a real, catastrophic war where the dragons are actual terrifying deities and every battle is a suicide mission. The psychological warfare, the grit, and the stakes blow your favorite hype shows completely out of the water. Go back to your brainless power fantasies while we eat good. 🤫🔥" "It’s hilarious how these kids can't appreciate a masterpiece like this. 💀 They need those brainless, shiny power-fantasies where the MC gets a harem and a level-up screen just to stay awake. Ragna Crimson gives you terrifying deities, psychological warfare, and a suicide-mission atmosphere, but i…

The animation truly fine, even better than Isekai Shadow "Iam atomic". But the story? It so template, I cannot like it. Like… what the hell? CCTV, nanomachines, dragons, dragon gods, guns, and they can fly to the moon? Verily, such tale is utter rubbish. The logic is lost, horrible or simply illogical, the setting is chaos, like a drunken bard who forget his own song. Story development? A rotten apple—soft, foul, and wasted. Average main character with god-strength for no reason. Dialogue too many yet say nothing, like wind dancing through empty halls. Character designs look good, yes, but the characters themselves? Nay. Foolish puppets. A random OP loli at the start, cloning people, what madness is this? A waste of gold and time for the creators. Many titles far more noble than this.…

Anime is surprisingly amazing, the story starts of with the mc being weak and getting carried by someone strong then eventually dies, which is practically becoming a template in most anime, but what caught me off guard was how utterly and despicably horrendous the antagonists are while having their own sob story, one would think this is another KNY where the mc feels bad for them, but when the story tells you who they are and what they were, you just can't help but feel like shit for wanting them dead because of their actions. there are no good and evil in this story, just their own version of loyalty, ambition, goal, and drive to fulfill them, everyone has a reason to fight, and everyone has a reason why they want them to die. even if you want them to live and redeem themselves in other…

- Spoiler free review - Unique story that grips you as soon as you understand what is happening and doesn't let go, flawless voice acting (Sukuna's voice actor is putting in work, too. But Crimson, Ultimatia, and Silverware Princess are the MVPs) great, realistic and entertaining characters growing with experience without relying on MC to carry the show, decent sound design, nothing to write home about but extremely bad animation that gets worse as the show goes on. It makes me honestly wonder what the work conditions of this animation studio could possibly be. Still, the fun gimmick of this show is that the good guys are shown as scary, under-handed and shady while the villains use pep talks and power of friendship along with their backstory memories power-ups. I will be reading th…

I dont normally drop reviews but this anime , every episode has surpassed my expectation although it went to absurd directions , i still enjoyed it like hell and certainly in awed with the animations and VA . Every characters be it good guys or bad guys are interesting, likeable enough that I cared bout their backgrounds. Yeah even that white lizard. I certainly sympathize with her. Im hooked to the point i binge watched it for 2 days straight. Have no idea what to say other than if u cant find anything to watch, definitely check this out. its either right your alley or rightfully skipped. 8.9 from me . why ? Coz Leo barely even mentioned after couple of episode, when she the reason i started watched it after stumble upon shorts in youtube. what a damn shame . and the final they wrote…

Ragna Crimson Season 1 has some of the most annoying, unnecessary, and uninteresting villains ever! Ultimatia is such a bore. Voltekamui feels like a Ban knock-off. Tbh, almost every character is uninteresting. Crimson has one or two perks, but he's also boring at times. The plot turns the protagonist, Ragna, into a very dull character. He has basically zero growth. He's overpowered, but his decision making is so disappointing. Then mix Starlia into the pot, and you get a full on bore fest. Starlia was annoying as hell throughout the show. But the heartbreaking thing is that up to episode 8, this anime was actually really good and interesting. Then Starlia came and made everything feel so meh... I'm severely disappointed, especially given how the first 8 episodes were literally peak l…

This anime had potential with its dark fantasy setting and high-stakes dragon battles, but it stumbles in execution. The part where little kids as much as 8 year old that can chop up huge dragons doesnt make sense... she is not supposed to be able to even lift that sword even with some extra supernatural power like "silverine" or whatever its call let alone jump and chop then with one strike, character development is thin, and emotional moments dont really hit since you dont get much time to get closer to them. While the animation is decent and the premise intriguing, the story lacks depth and cohesion, making it hard to stay invested. A few standout moments, but overall, it's a middling experience at best. If they went deeper in the lore explaining the world and giving more depth to the…

Ragna Crimson is an anime that was clearly cared for by the animation team. There was little CGI throughout the show, little details like rubble rolling to the side and sound effects of background noise were appropriately added. The story was great. The characters have backgrounds, depth, emotion, and are crucial to the plot. During the show, at some points, you might even start rooting for the enemy, or at least feel bad for them. There are stakes, humor, great choreography, and plot. This is an excellent open and shut show that will make you enjoy the anime once finished. I don't think there will be another season. The world is unique, the attention to detail for that era is on par, the magic system works well, and many mysteries remain at the end, (in a good way). Highly recommend the…

Look, this is shounen drivel at it's finest. It's about a guy who "is kind and protects his friends," and has mysteriously OP powers that uses to bulldoze the enemy; an enemy so evil that they're practically different beings. That's right: they're dragons! Now, why would I rate something like this remotely high? I hated Demon Slayer and it had around the same plot, and the animation quality surely was multiple times higher. Well, it just has to do with good character development. All the characters in Ragna Crimson are pretty fun to read about. When people or demons in Demon Slayer die and they show their flashbacks, it kind of just is some throwaway sob story that no one cares about. While Ragna Crimson does employ a similar tactic, it's a lot more genuine because you actually know a lot…

For my 20th Review on MAL We have….. “Crimson” (Yes, there was another word before that but I’d like to forget that part) I was rather anticipating the binge of this series, a 48 min opening, a 24 episode season and “SILVERLINK” who have cooked up quite the resume of fantasy anime. Unfortunately this is the first time I have absolutely hated a 48 min opening it was probably the worst I have ever seen. To give you a gist they decided to waste your time on some of the most unbelievably insulting writing imaginable. Who thought of this garbage? An example of Fantasy that ignores any sort of realism or structure so it just fails to captivate it’s audience. A childish mess stuffed with very eerie contrivances. What they were saying, what they were doing, I couldn't believe any of it. A fo…

glad to say I was pleasantly suprised with what this show had to offer, which at first glance didn't seem like much. a classic case of dont judge a book by it's cover. in this case, the cover being the generic artstyle and boring animation, as well as the too common fantasy world withh dragons, hunters, magic etc. the lore was suprisingly deeper than I thought. most of the time, it seemed like the author actually had a plotline in mind while writing the story. keyword: most of the time. yeah the story isn't that unique, but still had enough stand out charactaristics to differentiate itself from the flock. the characters were probably the best part of this show and the only reason i'd made it through. many side-characters had well made suspenseful moments and dialoges throughout the serie…

I'm sure plenty of people are gonna write this show off as just another generic, 24 episode edgy shonen series that will be forgotten about within a couple months. In fact, you're probably writing off this review as a bait, since a 7 day old account which is only JUST able to write a review has to be fake, right? That's where you're wrong. I am being ten billion percent genuine right now (hehe funny dr stone reference (I have never seen dr stone)). I am here to tell you why Ragna Crimson is the greatest anime of our generation, being not only the best revenge story I have seen in a long time, but passing series like Berserk, or the 2003 Korean film Oldboy. So sit down, shut up, and throw away all the other anime you have ever seen for the greatest one, Ragna Crimson. Story - 10 The story…

What a pleasant surprise! The first episodes of this anime left me with mixed feelings, but I'm so glad I kept watching. Ragna Crimson is the story of Ragna, who is determined to eliminate all dragons from the world with the help of another character called Crimson (and a couple support characters throughout the anime). Ragna is incredibly strong, and while the reason for his strength is explained in the anime, how it happens is somewhat questionable. His character is serious, with a clear objective in mind. When it comes to characters with charisma, there are tons throughout the episodes (including some very funny ones). I ended up liking a lot of the villains by the end of the show. Even though they do some messed-up things as dragons, there's a lot behind their actions. While their be…

DISAPOINTING AS FUCK Only really watched because I thought the opening was really really good . Art - 4/10 Basic animation, lots of just still shots with gums flapping for talking, fight scenes are pretty bland and all blend in with eachother. Characters - 3/10 Almost None of the characters are memorable, I Finished this today and remember Ragna, Crimson and slime and the princess w no arms thats it. The rest of the characters are just nothing, even the characters listed have 0 Development and do not engage me whenever they are on screen. Story - 2/10 What story? the story doesnt really exist its just a show of fighting Dragons? Not dragons? it gets repetetive after like 3 episodes and there is 24 of them, the times when the show stops for a few episodes takes a breath and thinks about…

TLDR: Potential wasted. The show starts building a decent enough world but then goes sideways really fast. Watching this happen for 24 episodes was an exercise in patience rather than an enjoyable escape. Off the bat, characters are introduced but are either killed or never heard from again. The MC, Ragna, gets way too OP with a grandfather paradox. He is passionate about killing dracu...Dragons, for perfectly acceptable reasons, but was well mannered and sensible right up until he got OP. At which point, he became an annoying, irrational twat. Just like a lot of Japanese anime, Ragna defeats all his enemies in a samurai stance while screaming with willpower as lightning bolts shoot out of his ass. God, it's cliche and irritating. Apparently, his power came at the cost of brain cells. Ima…

Oh wow, I didn't expect this to be good? Okay, time for my honest and unbiased review. It's been awhile since I posted one. Story: although the plot was generic, but it wasn't quite that boring, since we all love recycled stuff. You can see those plots being used over and over again through movies, animes, etc,. But we still dig and enjoy it. Truthfully, it's hard to find a unique story out of all the countless stories that are already out there and it's all been regurgitated through these main categories; Action, Drama, Adventure, and Romance. The author made such good use of these plots that makes this anime quite unique on its own and surprisingly it left me at the edge of my seat on some scenes. The beginning was quite meh, but give it a shot peeps, it gets crazy after a few episodes…

If you break down all it's aspects it doesn't do much of anything groundbreaking or top tier per say. What it does do well though is how it presents itself with the sum of it's parts compared to it's contemporaries, the very definition of gestalt. Sure I gave it a 9 but that is due to my personal taste of liking something unique and/or wished to stand apart from the oversaturated influx of clones. In both Sub & Dub they managed to successfully achieve a unique method which honestly is quite refreshing. Not best work ever heard; just more akin to the best B-movies, giving it a strong impression. For everything in this series, trying something new paid off. Crimson is a show stealer; always acting different so you can't pigeon-hold him/her in any way and it's quite delightful when you thin…
