Maybe part of my enjoyment of this was that I miss seeing the strawhats and their antics, since I haven't watched the anime in years now. Its also I decent solid sad story. And I really dig Ado's singing in this, plus the whole vtuber like aspect also hits for me. And I feel like the climax does something more interesting than any of the other recent one piece movies have done in a long time. Minor complaint that shots where they switch to a 3d model were very noticeable but other than that the visuals in this are great.

A One Piece musical featuring Ado, a true force of nature when she sings.
One Piece Film: Red generated huge anticipation but, predictably, turns out to be a fairly standard One Piece movie. It is well-animated and offers some visually stunning moments, yet I wouldn't call the film itself particularly spectacular.
Its real strength is Ado. Her songs and performances give the film a personality and identity it likely wouldn't have had otherwise. Whenever she starts singing, the entire movie suddenly comes alive with far more energy.
It’s by no means a bad film, but for me, the main draw wasn't the movie itself so much as Ado, who single-handedly carries the musical side of the experience.
In short, it’s the usual One Piece product churned out once a year, the kind where, if you don't app…

One Piece Film: Red quickly made it onto my list of favorite One Piece movies, and the main reason for that has a name: Shanks!
Since the film's announcement, the marketing made it clear that we would finally see more of Shanks' abilities in action, something fans had been waiting for for years, myself included. For a long time, Shanks was always treated as an almost legendary figure within the series: extremely powerful, mysterious, and with very few combat scenes. So seeing this film promising to explore more of the character was reason enough to generate hype.
The film's premise is relatively simple, but it works very well emotionally. The introduction of Uta to the One Piece universe was an interesting idea precisely because she doesn't seem like just "another movie character." Uta h…

As a die-hard One Piece fan...
Obviously the animation and singing was very good but the story was kind of ass and it didn't seem that well written.
So visuals and Audio score pretty high but the overall content I'm just really not feeling it.
So It's good and bad at the same time, leaving it PRETTY MID.
The 3D stuff was kind of goofy as well, a lot of the characters behaviors just didn't feel right and responses were weak.
It felt very bland, including the fight scenes especially it felt very unnatural like "let's show each of these characters doing a move just for the sake of it" I've cried at a lot of one piece but this didn't even come close to making me tear up. It's just very clearly not written by Oda.
Low-key feels like a kind of mediocre fan fiction. Most characters felt off and…

This movie is nothing but a piece of garbage aside from the music.
Oda, You should feel embarrassed that you have wrote or allowed this movie to be produced.
Truly without any doubt this is by far the worst One Piece movie and one of the worst movies i have ever seen. I feel stupid to have had very high hopes for it to be a very interesting movie.
It is basically ruining everything that is good about one piece and there is no way it can be sugar coated.
I don't have any idea why was this movie made and what purpose does it serve other than pis*ing off the viewers.
if there is a rating less than 1 out of 10 I would gladly rate it waaaay lower.

The movie picks up after episodes 1029–1030, introducing Uta as the central character.
If you're thinking of watching the French dub... honestly, don't. I made that mistake and it really messed up the experience for me. The singing voice for Uta in the French version just doesn't work. The songs sound off, sometimes even out of tune, and the voice feels totally disconnected from the character. It was hard to enjoy the film with that in the background.
On the other hand, the voice actress for Uta's spoken lines is clearly a pro. Her performance is way better and actually pleasant to listen to. It really shows how singing and voice acting are two separate skills, and in this case, the difference is obvious. Probably why they didn’t use the same person for both.
Story-wise, it's not bad. And…

I think this is my favorite One Piece movie so far. It had a stronger narrative than some of the others and I really liked how they tied the past into the present (of the story in 2022 at least). I really liked how they created a reason to have so many fan favorites together. I also like how they explored how devil's fruits can be very dark when influenced by negative forces. That said, it still had a lot of the other movies' weaknesses. The narrative was a little convoluted in places but cleaner than other movies. There came a point in which it felt like maybe things were dragging a little here and there but it would immediately pick back up again. Overall, it was a fun time and seems rewatchable.
If you liked previous One Piece movies then you'll likely enjoy this one. If you're the ty…

I will be very clear about why I gave this film a low rating and why it is horrible: UTA IS A TERRIBLE CHARACTER!!
What's more, are they playing with us? Did they create so much hype around Shanks' appearance for the damn thing to appear in very few frames? Honestly, horrible, I found the story really boring too, Uta is a spoiled girl who can't get over her traumas and wants everyone to get involved in it. I swear, when they put that scene showing that Uta was part of Luffy's childhood, I wanted to leave the movie theater. I've seen One Piece movies that didn't really captivate me, but this one gave me a feeling that I hate: disgust.

As a general rule of thumb Shounen anime movies are pretty s**t. They have pretty crappy antagonists, no real plot and just have every mildly important or popular character show up for 10 seconds of screen time for some contrived reason. Commonly the main character will get a single-use powerup (Naruto will get a new one-use Rasengan, Goku will get False Super Saiyan, Deku will get some glove that lets him use 100% punches then it never appears again.) One Piece MOSTLY follows the trend pretty well, although I think it's movies tend to be much better than the average shounen slop.
Most of the villains are better written and more compelling, single-use power-ups aren't given out like candy either. However, Film RED is easily one of the worst One Piece movies, up there with STAMPEDE. Uta co…

Mostly Spoiler Free.
This movie was not made for me, since I do not have TikTok. A lot of the focus of this movie is on Music and dance choreography, and I just do not care. If you are like me and find those Dances a bit cringy, some sequences of this movie are hard to get through.
First, let's talk about the good things. The movie was mostly animated on a good to very good level. Little sakuga like we got with the finale of Wano and some CGI Models that stuck out a bit, but the finale was beautful and many art decisions, like the new character outfits, were really good. It is definetly a visually pleasing movie.
Sadly, the same cannot be said about the story. Overall, it is pretty simple: This Idol Uta uses music to cast Eternal Tsukuyomi.
This is an oversimplification, there is a re…

Summary: Honestly, I'm dissappointed. If it wasn't connected to One Piece, I'd give it a 7/10 as it was a good Movie in itself. Since it has basically no connections to the main series though, it's nothing but a somewhat long Spin-Off OVA or Filler Episode.
If you enjoy music stuff in Movies, you may enjoy this one, if not, save yourself the time and skip it - you are not missing out on anything important.
A few more Details:
As for the content... I guess Animations where solid and enjoyable - Some of the Music was decent too.
Storywise, it didnt add anything that we may need in the main story - classic side story. The MC for this also feels rather plain and forgettable except for the visual design - no deep thoughts or meaning behind anything. Any other character may as well be replaced…

Uta is inseparable when talking about Film Red. This is one of those cases, I believe, where viewer reception to a story is contingent upon their attachment to a character. A One Piece musical starred by a young diva of relevant relations with Luffy and Shanks, with utter focus on her character journey as she descends towards the depths of an antagonist's despairing motives. The first four words already spells "novel" in capitals, and it keeps on getting unconventional. And that's just the synopsis alone. The experience is entirely something else, something that I never expected out of any One Piece story, canon or not. To put it out of the way, One Piece Film Red was a delectable taste of a grand recipe revamp that shines through with a positive aftertaste despite executionary shortcoming…

The latest one piece film is a visual and musical feast for fans old and new alike. The center focus is on Uta, a childhood friend from Luffy's past who is none other than Shanks' (adoptive) daughter. She uses her talented singing skills to charm the audience and usher in a new era of peace. But at what cost will she manifest her dreams?
Uta is an exemplary example of an anti villain done right. She grew up seeing how much despair pirates cause with their mayhem so she set out to make songs to soothe the hearts of their victims. She genuinely wants what is best for the world but goes about it in the worst way possible. I loved the dynamic she had with Luffy. It started out as a cheerful reunion between two distant friends before their clashing ideals results in conflict. Luffy embodies t…

This is the only movie I've seen where the singing is better than the rest of the movie combined.
The writing is questionable at best, and tries too hard to jam in everything One Piece fans recognize. That leaves no time for any kind of character establishment or development; the movie assumes you already know all the characters and just want to see them do their signature thing.
The 3d animation is not good. The 2d animation is surreal, even more than One Piece normally is, and ends up being incoherent. The whole movie is more of a fever dream than a satisfying story.
But...the songs are good. One of them was #1 in Japan for a while, and honestly, it deserved that. Maybe it's better to just find the songs on youtube.

It's a One Piece movie that does something different with it being more of a musical centred on the new character Uta, Shank's daughter. It's not action-heavy like previous movies. Uta herself is a complex character with clear mental issues, which is not what you usually see in One Piece. It delivers great songs, good animation and an emotional yet dark story. The last 20 minutes of this film are stellar!
Don't come into this one expecting something similar to 'Strong World' or 'Film Z'. This is a unique experience for One Piece in general. I personally found it a fun watch but I understand that this film might be divisive for One Piece fans.

This movie is pretty much a musical.
There are bits of action, story and humor in between.
Apart from the climax fight, this has no exhilarating action.
I have given 1 or 2 stars extra just for the end fight.
It has been a disappointing movie.
The story (which was barely decent) has been underwhelmed by the huge array of songs.
They could've built the character better.
The connections between the characters could've been explored more to give depth.
And it definitely needed more action/humor scenes. The previous one (Stampede) was the best of the series.
And this one is probably among the bottom rungs of One piece movies.

A good movie, still not as good as Film Gold and Z. The pacing felt rushed, the story felt a bit bland and entirely emotional only at the ending part. Expected more considering Stampede doesn't actually have a story but more of a character's revisit episode...and Film Red in the other hand felt like a filler episode that got a movie quality treatment. Really hope Oda could grasp back his old writing skills, as even the recent manga chapters also felt just not as impressive as the old days.
Oh and in term of animation and music/soundtracks wise, this movie is a banger. Definity a watch if you prioritize this more over the story.

I watched this movie at cinema and during the movie i wanted to cut it out and go off but i just waited the scene that everybody go to movie. Movie really boring if we compare it with other One Piece films it is minus terrible there is no good antagonist and story is weak just good music and cinematics nothing more. If i should talk about Gear 5th scene it is not as i expect it should be longer scene but Luffy transform to Gear 4th Snake man then attacking Uta while he is attacking he suddenly transform gear 5th and nobody recognize about it just spends 5 seconds and one moment. I gave it 7/10 cause of One Piece normal story not for movie.

Best Musical Movie in a while.
That being said, not the worst One Piece Movie but DEFINITELY NOT THE BEST!!!
When I first watched the trailer, I got excited and hope it can really outdid One Piece Stampede as we finally be able to see Shanks in action (anime version) for like 15 years. 1 main thing to be said though, I felt like Toei or Oda tends to experiments a lot with OP movies. We got Marines POV kind of (Zero), 4 recap movies (Episodes of Skypea, Nami, Chopper, Alabasta), 1 horror (Baron Omatsuri), addition to 14 movies (including this one) with Original Plot , and with the same as most of anime movies, the events is NON-CANON. Only certain parts of the movie going to be relevant (or not) in the canon main plot. ie; Shiki from Strong World is Canon but Luffy meeting him? Never happe…
