"Oh it has too many fillers!" "Oh it makes no sense!"
This show's absolutely fantastic for fast paced action, magical gangster fights. It has special rings with powers, but not lame ones like in LOTR. Binge-worthy. The filler episodes aren't so bad either, I didn't skip over any.
I watched it years ago but I remember not being able to put it down, enjoying the characters and their development over the series, and the powers and power systems. I think they focused more on it earlier on, and later it became a bit more "oh they can just do things now?" like with other popular super power systems, like with the Dragon Ball and Harry Potter series. Either way if you're a fan of action, cool powers, and character building, I highly recommend.

Where do I start? I love KHR, especially the manga. I was initially introduced to the series through the anime, but I must say I was kinda disappointed with it, especially after reading the manga. Although it's not terrible, the anime does suffer from a lot of things:
1.Pacing
Especially in the Future Arc, things just kept dragging and dragging. I had completely lost interest in it until I reached the final fight, which was decent. The entire arc started OK, but it just felt like it was dragging on and on. The other arcs were a bit fine, I guess, but still felt slower than they should.
2Animation
I know it's an old anime back from 2006, but come on. Shows around the same era, or even 2–3 years prior to it, had so much better animation. Even if they weren't consistent, at least they had g…

5 sentence review:
A long anime, takes a while to get good and move out of its comedy phase.
Characters are a mixed bag, I really liked some whereas other felt one note to a fault.
Humour was alright, I wasn't watching for the comedy though.
The villains were also a mixed bag (I liked Mukuro and Xansus, but not the rest of em as much).
Powerscale goes a bit off the deep at some point, particularly near the end.
My favourite was Gokudera. Random thoughts:
The show is a time-investement and the payoff might not ball all that for everyone, I enjoyed it though.
As a side note, my brother kept bullying me and calling me Lambo as a kid - that was my particular reason for spending a decent over like, 60+ hours of my life watching this.

If I could only pick one anime to call my all-time favorite — no contest, it’s Katekyou Hitman Reborn! This anime isn’t just something I watched... it’s something I grew up with. It’s my top 1, and no matter how many new series come out, it’s the one I always end up coming back to.
The whole mafia concept was already a huge hook for me, but what really made it special was the way it slowly built this group of characters that ended up feeling like a real team, like a family. I love team-ups when they’re done right, and this one nailed it. Every character had their own thing going on, their own strengths, personalities, and growth arcs. Watching Tsuna go from a hopeless “No-Good Tsuna” to a legit boss was just so satisfying.
I’ll be honest though — getting through the early episodes was ki…

Katekyo Hitman Reborn, also referred to as Reborn!, is your casual shonen anime but has a unique setting and twist. It takes determination to start this anime simply because of its original basis of being a comedy however it does get good.
As the anime progresses you get introduced to characters who will come to be of relevance throughout the story, you get to watch them get used to each other, have key character moments, and even develop as individuals. The story is built uniquely, and occasionally you get attached to some characters you never thought you would come to like.
Another reason to start KHR is the never seen power system. Although it can get confusing at some point, the power system slowly develops as the story progresses and builds up to what becomes a concluding factor for…

best shonen ever, after years im still fascinated how much joy this show brought me when I was kid and now I see how I grew absorbing morals from KHR. This show taught me so much I didn't know it did before lol. I always liked shonen stuff but this one was special and is forever in my heart. Im gonna spend my lifetime untill I get all KHR mangas in english and japanese. (xd)
I grew up hoping there will be more of KHR anime because I wanted to see story that manga improved. But we got new Shaman King last year. we'll getting new Bleach and Fullmetal Alchemist gonna have new manga too sooo maybe? That's the one thing I won't lose hope on, because I can't believe they not gonna use that hype they've generated through years of fan just waiting and waiting, lol.

This series had a moment but I feel like it needs more love, so here I am.
I can totally understand how this series doesn't get talked about as much as it should. The first part of the anime is so ridiculously cartoonish compared to later episodes you would think they were different shows altogether. I'm here to tell you that THAT IS A GOOD THING. If you are kind of in the middle between enjoying comedy and action this series (eventually) finds the perfect balance. While shows like Bleach can be too serious at times, and shows like Beelzebub aren't serious enough, this one has a good blend of both that always seems to satisfy.
You continuously get a feeling of excitement that the show is about to reveal a new layer to enjoy, and more often than not it exceeds those expectations. The only…

It's just a bunch of charismatic characters in just one single anime that even after years of watching it i can still remember vividly every single one of them. The comedy works very well and the action is great overall. Sometimes the plot change it's pace and becomes kinda 'meh' but the characters got so much personality that they can easily carry a boring episode. Maybe to get the grip of the show you need to keep watching for a good amount of episodes since the anime take some time to elaborate on its characters and the arcs get gradually better and more meaningful.
To sum up, the anime manages to balance good moments of fun, action, and develops all its relevant characters well. It is worth the time and will probably keep you hooked for a few episodes.

Despite having intriguing moments, great climatic shōnen battles, amazing cast of characters and quite the interesting plot, it's still a hidden gem and is definitely one of those anime that deserves way more attention (although the series is still popular in Japan to my knowledge but I digress).
One of my favorite aspects about the series is how the story takes it's time to flow, of course this does happen commonly in most anime in my past experience, most of them however often get to the point rather quickly, but with Reborn! it does take way too much time throughout the course of it's first 20 episodes. There are plenty of action scenes like explosions, boxing match, running around with nothing but boxers but above all these elements what really captured my interest is how peaceful an…

I'll be honest since most of the reviews in my opinion are usually really long and I end up generally skim-reading it so in light of that ill try to make mine as short and concise as I can.
Let me just start of by saying I give the anime an overall of 10. My total experience left me completely satisfied although I wish the anime and manga continued since the ending was a bit blunt, however due to financial reasons on the companies behalf I understand that it didn't meet the funds required.
Moving on, the story and characters were a solid 9 for me since I (***really slight spoilers***) found the idea of the ring aspect, 10 year bazooka, and future ark really cool entirely. Especially the few plot twists that actually surprised me occasionally here and there. The character development on…

I have nothing bad to say about this anime. This is literally by *far* the best anime I have watched yet, being so ahead of its time. The character design for Tsuna and the antagonists are great and... well was ahead of its time. This is most underrated shounen I have ever watched yet and I'm about to tell you why.
First let's talk about the audience, actually. Literally any age audience can watch this and still enjoy it. The extreme lack in perverted moments make this anime suitable for audiences under the ages of 16. There is mature and harsh language but there is never any vulgar language, such as sex jokes, explicit swearing and in my opinion is really good for those who want to watch a clean, amazing anime. I could even let my 8 year old brother watch it in my religious household on…

Katekyo Hitman Reborn,
probably one of the most individual and memorable Shonen titles ever.
This anime deals with a very fresh and fascinating subject of the Mafia and various groups. You could compare it to the usual "magic guild" concept, as they are very similar. However, the structure and style are completely different. This was also implemented authentically and the respective families had charisma.
In addition, this series has a huge number of different personalities among the characters that are both interesting and bizarre.
The whole thing is decorated with wonderfully epic and beautiful musical support.
The whole thing sounds just perfect and I wish it had been too. Unfortunately, "Katekyo Hitman Reborn" is by far one of the worst shounen I've seen in my whole life and I will…

When I started watching the show the episodes were funny at first, but it got repetitive pretty fast after the main characters were introduced. The story and the character development slows down and the episodes are the same thing over and over again. (could be filler though)
I even dropped the anime for a while. But I kept reading stories about how it gets better in later episodes, and it did!
Hitman Reborn is a pretty unique anime in my opinion. There is one major flaw in the story that prevents me from giving it a full 10. The first 20 episodes or so have no real story arc. While each episode is interesting and helps develop the characters it takes way too long for the story to truly begin.

It's been about 4 or 5 years since I watched the entirety of this Anime in about 2 weeks. The problem is, that the only thing I concisely remember is, that how many times I questioned myself why in the name of God I'm watching it.
To be fair, the premise and overall tone of Reborn isn't anything out of the ordinary. It's just so painfully average in everything it does and beyond that, it sucks any enjoyment out of the viewing experience by being slow-paced as hell.
Usually, your typical Shounen humor is already quite annoying, to begin with. Don't get me wrong it's not like I hate it but most of the time it's the same repeated joke over and over again, the only difference being it's in another Anime. In Reborn the same joke gets rehashed so many times that I simply had the urge to gouge…

Katekyo Hitman Reborn was an important part of my early teenager years, so it has a spot in my heart.
Now, almost 8-9 years later, I started to rewatch the series with wholly different mindset and a critical eye - kinda-.
Well, KHR has some insteresting and quite original plot series going on. It starts as one thing, silly comedy and absurd daily situations with Tsuna and their friends - that you can't take seriously at all-. Then it gets darker slowly with the beginning of the first saga and the apparition of the very first villain boss. As the story progresses, they give you insights of important details that substain the plot.
There's something to the art style and characters that made the anime really eye-catchy for me. But yeah, also my main problem comes from the characters, i m…

Finally, after a few years, I've finally finished this anime, I dropped this once a few years ago but I've decided to rewatch this again. After 3 weeks this journey finally has reached its destination.
Pretty an old anime to watch nowadays, but it was surprisingly enjoyable. A very simple written story, just like we've expected from a Shounen anime. A lot of fillers at the beginning that quite was unnecessary, it could be quite boring to watch but when the good arcs were coming up it became totally a different anime. The story is indeed simple and easy to predict but the thing I like the most in this anime is the concept. Being a mafia boss and having your own group of guardians with all their unique abilities makes this plot more interesting. Characters barely change and I'm t…

Where to begin with this masterpiece that is underestimated all the time? Reborn is an outstanding anime that serves its purpose with utmost grace. An initially comic manga/anime that found itself leaning towards the most popular genre of Japan: shonen, without losing itself in the way, retaining all the fun that was there initially.
Great combats, great techiniques, outstanding and creative weapons and graceful design, that summarizes Reborn at its core. I know that in the end of its run in Weekly Shonen Jump the manga was very poor, but I blame this on the publisher that hurried up its final arc because its ratings were falling. Nevertheless the anime run stopped right after the conclusion of its best saga, leaving not much to be desired and thus chopping the weakest arcs, making it a re…

Storyv 7 - It is somewhat unique but it takes a lot of episodes to start the real story. Its first 24 episodes is so boring that I think most of the viewers will drop it and watch another show but I am not one of them, I decided to still try whether it is worth the watch. After watching all of it, it is not worth it.
Art 7 - very old but manageable, its fight scenes are also not that good maybe because of its time. This anime was created when I was 4 years old.
Sound 8- Pretty much the only thing that makes it 7/10. This anime soundtracks' and osts are lit. it makes me hype even though I don't like them.
Character 6 - the most generic trope I've ever seen. Tsuna and especially Gokudera is so annoying.
Enjoyment 7 - I watch this show while playing nba2k so I think i did not enjoy that m…

I first watched the future arc and was amazed by the story so I ended up watching it from the beginning. This was the first anime that I've watched and finished so it left a great impression on me. I have watched it 3 times and after that I read the manga because there's more stories to it than the anime. The anime was finished after the future arc and when you read the manga there will be more stories that will be told.
I first watched this anime way back 2012 and since then this is my number one on the list and that because of this anime I was introduced to a world with different types of anime.
I recommend that after watching the show you should read the manga and start from the very beginning.

There will be pretty much no spoilers.
This was recommended to me enthusiastically by a friend, so that’s how I got into it. I don’t really watch shouen anime, not my cup of tea, so I acknowledge that I’m not the demographic for this. But I feel that this is still low-tier shouen. Every moment that I watched this, I wanted to scream in agony. Man, I’m so glad I’m done with this.
Story
Everyone says first 20 episodes suck but then it gets better because the first 20 episodes are boring filler. However, I feel like those first 20 episodes were the best moments of the anime (not by much). The Mukuro arc was okay, because it didn’t feel like it lasted 1000000 years. The ring conflict was annoying because it felt like it was dragged on for 30 episodes, and there was a lot of fat that could’ve…
