For my unemployed champs, this is what a corporate Monday stand-up feels like. As another reviewer said, Tensura has already achieved what many other anime under the same umbrella set out to do, to the point it turned into a Larping versiong of itself, and for the worse too. It is the point when the series should have probably branched out under a more appropriate name. That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slack Bot.
It feels like the writers never got past the meeting phase, and just turned it into content. They might have as well rotoscoped their meeting room camera, using some digital software too, because the art was not what we’ve come to expect from this once great show.
There were undoubtedly few genuinely good episodes, but they were buried under an exhausting amount of slow paced,…

To preface this I watched season 1 a few years ago and loved it so I came back to catch up before the new season. I had seen a lot of comments on youtube/tiktok about how this season is nothing but a yap fest and boy were they not kidding. The entirety of this season is basically meetings/conversations. One of my favorite things about this show is the world building and it still knocks it out of the park this season which is why I gave it an 8, but it's by far the weakest of the three seasons so far. Everything that was done this season was interesting and did a ton for the world building, but it really drags on and on and on when an entire episode takes place in a single room. Overall it was still enjoyable and I'm hoping that all this was necessary to lead to something major happening in…

To be honest, this season compared to the others was very less action-oriented and more focused more on politics. That isn't to say there wasn't action throughout the season, and the politics and society-building was very fun to watch, especially since you could see that Rimuru is new to building a society and has his ups and downs throughout.
However, the first half of the season was more thrilling as battles were ongoing while different enemies were introduced; and the unveiling of the connection between all of them, that was interesting. So many characters were introduced and they each had their proper part in the story.
Yet I really enjoyed the second half that focused on Rimuru growing his country whilst also dealing/figuring out the identities of his enemies. This half of the seas…

I honestly don’t know where to begin. After going through both the anime and the manga, I have to say the continuation of the series feels like a major letdown.
The first two seasons were amazing—packed with rich world-building, betrayals, powerful characters, and a fast-paced plot that kept me hooked. It felt like there were endless possibilities for where the story could go.
But instead of diving into those exciting opportunities, the creator chose to drag things out. It feels like they’re trying to follow in the footsteps of long-running series like One Piece, Naruto, or Dragon Ball, but without the same compelling storytelling or payoff.
Season 3, in particular, felt like a complete clown show. The fights were underwhelming, the pacing was slow, and overall, it felt like a season fu…

Story (4):
Meeting and meeting and meeting for this series. The highlight here is Hinata and Rimuru's fight but the reality is bad. I don't feel the hype and the war is just that. Besides that, it's just preparing for the festival. I know in this anime it seems like they want to build a city, advance the economy, establish relationships between cities. but the execution is boring. All the meetings in those people are just Yes men. The point is very boring. but I hope the next season will be better. Because what I still stick with in this anime is Yuuki
Characters (6):
There are so many tensei characters that I don't care about each of their characters. It's just ordinary with some of their comedy traits which I think are still okay but also a bit childish. There are some new characters bu…

Season 3 felt noticeably weaker than the second, though still watchable. Up until around episode 9, the show maintains a decent pace and most of the problems get resolved, although the main character seems to completely forget about his motivation to avenge Shizu. After that, things start to get really strange.
There's a particularly odd moment when the protagonist is told about slave traders operating near the city. His reaction is basically, “Oh, they have slaves, that’s terrible… but I don’t really care,” which feels completely out of character. Up until this point, he was always portrayed as compassionate and willing to help people. This sudden indifference comes across as jarring and inconsistent.
From that point on, the plot starts to lose direction. It stalls and feels like it’s g…

Nothing special...
This is yet another season of Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken that is adapted in a sloppy way, luckily it still works thanks to the quality of the story. For me as a fan of this work and who consumes the manga, this season has an extremely inferior quality to the original work (surprising a total of zero people), the animation is very simplistic, it is not something bad, but due to the fame that the work has and the story it has in hand it is somewhat disrespectful to put it on the same level of animation as other simplistic and not very popular Isekai. I have nothing to say about the soundtrack because it didn't manage to impress me or make me pay attention to it at any time. I can't say the same about the sound effects during the fights. Some of Rimuru's abilities have…

It is a rather slow season. I do not mind it being that way, but it seems like the plot has been artificially extended to fit the bought out time slot, that is why we get a rather poor story. I'm not gonna compare to original story as i did not read it. But it feels like some dialogue is just there to be there, it's like those endless TV shows with infinite plot, they keep talking but about rather mundane stuff and of course every character from the show must be included for at list a small part of it. It fells like when the creators don't really know where to push it they push it everywhere to keep story lines open and ready to be used. I would say this is like a world building and establishing of future plot season. I guess in previous 2 seasons the world could be presented a bit more an…

Unlike season 1 and 2, TenSura S3 features tons of scenes where characters just get together in a business meeting like fashion and do nothing but TALK. Now I get why a lot of people can consider this to be mundane and uninteresting. After all, Isekai is a genre that is mostly about power fantasy and escapism, and dialogue is generally not a focus. But the TALKING is precisely why I would recommend TenSura S3 to others, because it is different, refreshing and realistic. Different factions have different agenda, and the way you know all of this is through dialogue. Different characters have different opinions on the same matter, and how would you express that in writing? Through dialogue, of course. Does TenSura have superb dialogue? No. But it is a breath of fresh air regardless. I would s…

Another great season for bingers, and another reason, i explicitly suggest that you cannot and should never take this show in bite-size portions.
This is a "Page Down", "Press Next" show, you have to keep going, skipping and stoppages are detrimental to the pleasure of this ordeal.
What's interesting is that the first time i noticed this show spent entire episodes on meetings is when i saw some discourse about it on Twitter/X. I never noticed, it was just that engaging when you spend long periods immersed in its world.
You need to be a man of patience and endure the full episodes in longer sessions. I couldn't imagine foolishly waiting a week after each episode, it sounds like a nightmare. Perhaps if I was waiting around watching this weekly, I would have gone mad and cried like most of…

Bearable.
This is what Americans mean when they say "We work more hours though" *Proceeds to spent 50% of the their hours on pointless things like meetings.*
Look it wasn't completely terrible, but compared to season 1 for example it was utter trash.
The world building is "good" but you can't literally just *only* have world building and exposition.
there's funny moments, interesting ideas. But nothing actual which even remotely feels like it poses a threat at any point.
This season felt like the story was over, and now we had to find a way to keep it going with things we hadn't completely resolved yet. It's like someone is writing, but no longer has a Story. Imagine like if at the end of an epic movie you just kept writing "and he went home, he ate lunch, he went to the toilet, he watch…

Giving this a 6 and a recommended because I'm pretty tough on even anime I like but think this series is still something worth watching for most anime viewers.
The strength of this series often lies in its worldbuilding and plot; there can be some really great action moments and the animation and art are done well but I don't remember myself thinking about that as much this season. This is more exposition and intrigue heavy than the first or second seasons, and also presents a lot less urgency or threat. For that reason the second half of the season really starts to feel a bit glacial: the same cool things from season 1 might be happening but its not as impactful and interspersed with even more dialogue. This is also the weakest of the 3 seasons in terms of new characters and worldbuildi…

While I feel the dialogues were really essential to the world building, I believe they could've condensed it more or fix the pacing. There are scenes where I had to skip entirely or fast-forwarding, reading the closed captions as bullet points.
As much as I'd like to say this was my fault due to the "brain-rot", this really isn't the case, the narratives simply lacked the magnetism to sustain engagement.
while no one expects the writing to rival the taut intensity of 12 Angry Men, also a "single-room" masterpiece, the storytelling here stumbled under its own ambition. The creators poured lore into the framework, yet the result felt hollow.
Following that, the overall setting confuses me if I am the targeted audience or is it made for sub-12y/o kids with good comprehension skills.
I di…

In the first 2 seasons i could look past it . But it's plenty of time and the world is already pretty well built. The world itself and the system around it are easily the biggest forte this show has and judging by how the story's going it's the biggest strength it will ever posses. The reason is easy to explain. Too much talking. Too much "strong character introduced by name alone" going on. Barely any actual fighting and any actual show of the spoken power of most characters.
Hopefully i am wrong ,and in the next season they will pick up the pace, but i will keep my expectations low, and so should you.

Some reviewer, somewhere, referred to Season 3 as "4 pm Conference Call: the Anime" and then I couldn't unsee that, because it's true. What was once a fun join-my-motley-team-and-win-a-place-in-the-world has become a bloated chorus line of sycophants who, in most episodes, spend the entire 23 minutes sitting at a table, taking turns getting their faces on camera while saying innocuous things with wise nods. Even the one real showdown in the season was kind of a boring letdown.
I guess there's a reason most stories just end with, "and then they lived happily ever after." When the revolution ends, bureaucracy begins.
That's not to say there's never any fun, just that it gets so bogged down in too many characters that we, along with Rimaru, really have no time to devote to caring about anyt…

This season felt very similar to watching paint dry. The business meeting episodes really do add up and it is just not enjoyable. That aside this anime never seems serious; Tensura suffers from always having a happy ending (Has a single likeable character actually died??). The first two seasons were good but this one falls short by a large margin. To be blunt season felt like filler. This anime has slowly transformed into an uninteresting slice of life anime and I am not here for it. On one final note there were no moments in which I was excited during this season; the animation was very subpar (Blue box the romance anime outdoes this season in animation). I would highly recommend a different isekai anime instead of this one, things like Frieren or TBATE (manhwa or book) are much more enjo…

This season had classic Slime action, silliness, drama, politics, etc., but was unfortunately also chock full of filler or at least filler-adjacent scenes. It's still good, but "mixed" implies that some viewers will not enjoy this, and I genuinely believe that. I personally had to watch some episodes at 2x speed in order to tolerate all the forced feel-good moments and stretched out dialogues.
The first 12 episodes seemed to have much more thought put into them. The plot seemed focused, the pacing was perfect, and any serious moment had tiny little silent gags carefully inserted in the background, like the production team was having a good time making it. In other words, the classic Tensura experience.
The latter 12 episodes were completely different. The pacing seemed almost glacial a…

I think the show is still pretty fun. I like the world building and the happy-go-lucky style. Seeing geopolitics just work out is actually pretty wholesome, and there's a fair bit of effort put into developing the world's progression with Tempest's rapid ascension. It's honestly interesting.
However, it doesn't make full sense. It's not a show to take seriously ... because geopolitics is actually a super messy, convoluted, and difficult thing to tackle. Tensura does make an effort to make plot developments seem real, and it randomly/uncharacteristically has lines with meaningful messages to be learned from geopolitics. However, when things just work out perfectly in these kinds of scenarios, it's nice ... but not compelling.
Fights are too often more superficial than interesting; the p…

When it comes to anime, I truly think "That time I got reincarnated as a slime" truly has a special place among shows that changed the genre of isekai. I truly believe that the idea of this show was amazing from the very beginning, but it was also what killed it for a lot of anime fans.
To understand the 3rd season of a show we have to look at the first two: Season 1 came out at what felt like the perfect time for a new idea in the isekai genre. A more slow-paced and realistic view into what a person might do if they were transported into another world. Manipulate the people who cant read or write into creating you a whole ass city to run, and then just play politics. Its something we all imagined we could do if actually transported to another world, and this show puts that idea into prac…

Just not a good show anymore. I loved season 1. I liked season 2 but it had episodes I found boring. Season 3 is basically all the boring parts of season 2 but throughout the entire season. Very little action and a lot of standing around talking.
I don't care enough about the nations to watch it with interest. Most characters are shallow with their personality just being to suck up to Rimuru so they aren't worth sticking around for.
If I wasn't watching this as it was airing one episode a week I would have dropped it. I put the show on in the background whilst doing something else for most episodes.
I hope the show can become entertaining again for the next season. For the anime adaptation they may have been better off skipping meetings/summarising them briefly so the show can progress…
