The Seven Deadly Sins: Imperial Wrath of the Gods

The Seven Deadly Sins: Imperial Wrath of the Gods

Introduction

After saving the Kingdom of Liones from the 10 Commandments, Meliodas and the Seven Deadly Sins are enjoying their time off. However, things aren't as peaceful as they seem, as the Sins are put through various trials to become strong enough to defeat the 10 Commandments and to overcome their past trauma. With help from past figures, the Sins are tasked with defeating the 10 Commandments and putting an end to their evil plans that began ten thousand years ago. The Sins begin to uncover the truth about each other, as well as those who stood before them. With this knowledge in hand, the battle against the 10 Commandments has only just begun. Nanatsu no Taizai: Kamigami no Gekirin continues to follow the Seven Deadly Sins and those that they meet on their journey. Through their adventures, they realize that their actions have had greater consequences on the present than they could have ever expected. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

This is where The Seven Deadly Sins starts to lose me a little. I still enjoyed parts of it, but compared to the earlier seasons, something just wasn't hitting the same anymore. The story kept getting bigger, the stakes kept escalating, but I didn't feel as invested as I used to. There are still characters and moments I genuinely love, and I can't deny that I have a soft spot for this universe. But this season felt like the point where I started watching more out of attachment to the characters than because I was completely obsessed with what was happening. Score: 5/10

The season where the true nightmare begins for Nanatsu no Taizai fans. While the series had managed to sustain itself with charisma, good fights, and an engaging narrative up to this point, it's precisely in this phase, especially in Nanatsu no Taizai: Kamigami no Gekirin, that everything begins to crumble noticeably. What was once excitement turns into frustration, and what promised evolution delivers a regression that's hard to ignore. The biggest problem, without a doubt, lies in the production. The animation suffers in practically every possible aspect. The proportions of the characters frequently look strange, the faces lose consistency between scenes, and the overall feeling is of rushed work without due care. The lighting is another critical point: there's a clear lack of attentio…

I don’t have much to say about this season. Just like the first and second, it’s good—maybe slightly weaker—but still enjoyable overall. On the plus side, Elizabeth is a bit less annoying this time around, which is a nice improvement. That said, like the previous seasons, it doesn’t quite reach the level of top-tier anime I’ve seen. It’s good, but it doesn’t hook me enough to binge 10 episodes in a day. My interest is there, but not that strong. The story is alright. While the main theme seems to center around a love story—maybe not the best one out there—it does at least feel a bit different from the usual. It brings some emotional weight to the plot, even if it’s a bit overdone at times. So overall, it’s a decent continuation, but not something I’d call amazing.

**Review of *Seven Deadly Sins* Season 3** Season 3 of *Seven Deadly Sins* is a mixed bag that, unfortunately, leans more into disappointment than triumph. The series has had some great moments in the past, but by the end of this season, it’s clear that it has lost much of its magic. One glaring issue is found in Episode 5. The narrative decision to have Elizabeth and Meliodas attempt to stop Ludociel from destroying Derieri and Monspeet doesn’t quite make sense. Given everything that’s happened with the Ten Commandments in Season 2, this sudden moral stance feels unearned. It’s baffling to see characters shift in such an unexpected way, especially considering the danger and chaos the Commandments have caused. There’s a disconnect in motivation that leaves viewers scratching their heads.…

Before I say anything, I must address the far and away number one problem that's sure to hit you in the face like a freight train from the first minute of S4's first episode: the censorship. For whatever reason, be it Deen's decision or the network's, the first cour of S4 features some pretty distasteful censorship. Don't bother trying to scour the internet for a secret uncensored Blu-ray version. There isn't one. What is censored and how? The violence is censored in two ways. First, occasionally, if there's gore, the gory element will simply be blacked out. There is a scene where Ban uses his Snatch ability to steal an opponent's heart and crush it in his hand. You are, however, only able to tell that what he's holding in his hand is a heart by knowing Ban's ability and having seen him d…

Nanatsu no Taizai: Kamigami no Gekirin For a long time, I was afraid of this, I knew what was coming and that very knowledge only made my burden more difficult. A bad anime can be improved by magnificent animation. Fast pacing can always balance the flow of scenes, dynamic animation in harmony with the music, help distract the viewer from flaws and entertain elsewhere. But when an average anime is given deadly pacing and disastrous animation, it's no longer fun. And at the same time, this season has been animated better than the final season. Therefore, for those who have already had traumatic experiences here, stop. Finish reading the manga and don't watch the last season. What the studio did here is beyond comprehension. I have a feeling they merely produced this as a bad joke. A good e…

My expectations coming into this show were very low. I enjoyed the first season of this show but after the first season the show declined and in all aspects. This show is called seven deadly slides for a reason, the fight animations are horrible and laughable at best. The show is also very boring and is just stupid. the other characters besides the mc don't do anything and watch as he fights. The mc was the only decent character in the show and everyone else is either annoying or boring. A great example of this is Elizabeth. She does absolutely nothing and her voice is so annoying and all she does is complain. I don't understand how people can stand this show when one of the main characters is an annoying and insurable crybaby. There's only few shows that I have had this much hatred for an…

I will type a review on the whole anime, not only the last season. Story - 8/10 - The anime is really good and I liked the whole principle. Each of the main characters got their "ending" which was more than less satisfying. The whole plot ends and we can say it is at the end and "everything happened as it should". It is really a good anime and the kind of story that is continuing was good. Fighting anime, drama, comedy and romance at the same time? Why not. Art - 9/10 - The art is really nice, fighting scenes are good. I dunno why people are hating it. Sound - 9/10 - Very nice and pleasant. Nothing to say. Character - 10/10 - Each character has a very good personality and owns a complex background story. So I'm absolutely fine about them. Enjoyment - 9/10 - The ending ruined it a bit…

By far one of the worst things I've watched in my life, the first and second seasons are really amazing, if you really like Nanatsu no Taizai, I recommend going to the manga after the second season Story 9: The story of Nanatsu no Taizai is actually very good, and this season is a direct continuation of the others, which reveal a lot of things, and develop some characters, was one of the reasons I finished watching this. Art 4: The art is terribly ugly and badly animated, you can see parts in episodes, the bad disproportion of the bodies, the bad painting and the relaxation in the work, there are parts that I really think are PNG's, and they did it when they weren't in quarantine, imagine if... Sound 7: The soundtracks are good, but nothing memorable, it's hard to get into the mood with…

I've been always very surprised to see the rating for this show. I like Seven Deadly Sins, I've watched the first three (four for Netflix) seasons consecutively in two or three months, and recently I've rewatched this third/fourth season to prepare myself for the fifth and final. And, to be honest, this time I understood much better why the rating were so low. Now, this season of Seven Deadly Sins is about Meliodas' rebirth and his will to save Elizabeth from a curse they share. However, things gets quickly worse after the appearence of several demons who want to bring Meliodas back to the dark side, much to the dismay of his comrades. What I liked about SDS was the fact that it was a very simple shonen anime in a fantasy setting, but that it also gave a lot of space to its characters. T…

I don't know how to feel about this season. This season of the seven deadly sins was to an extent enjoyable, but there it had so much more potential to be greater. The sins discovering the truth behind each other, the approach to the final battle with the main conflict are all dragged down at a rushed pace. All portrayed by horrific animation. This season was designed to set up the conclusion of the seven deadly sins story. However, this season to me felt rushed. They had the potential to expand on different aspects of the narrative like longer time spent training and different character arcs, like the diverse cast of knights whose characters are never expanded but are very extremely powerful. The animation was poor, to say the least, the previous season's animation was incredible. Du…

what happened, I was so confused when I watched the beginning, how come it turned ugly hahahaha. But for the story too, how come boring is it in the manga or not. I was a little disappointed when I watched season 1 and 2, it was so perfect when everything went to season 3, how come it really feels like watching it. Like everything that has happened in s1 and s2 rotates 360 degrees. The reason is because I changed studios, huh? Actually, Rip is a good story, but how come it's wordy in the anime and it's not fun. It's like all the scenes are missing. It should work, even though the studio is new to at least following the season 1 feel. It's really broken, so the anime is disappointed .. But still I respect the studio and the animators who have worked hard so I thank you 7/10, thank you.

(no spoilers) So, for people scared by the 1 out of 10 reviews; no, it's really not that bad. Is the animation a little disappointing? Yeah. Does it totally ruin watching the show? No. So, that being said, if you liked the last seasons, you'll definitely like this one. With that out of the way, time for the review! So to get started with the story, it develops really quickly in this season. Strangely though, I find myself still bored throughout this season. I think there is just something off with the pacing that makes it feel so slow. About the animation, I have already lightly touched on that. It definitely is disappointing to see the animation quality go down, but that was honestly not a big deal for me. If animation is really important for you, especially in a shounen anime, then y…

Honestly, personally to me, besides the censorship of blood in the first few episodes, this is, overall, an alright season. I watched the last seasons and they were pretty alright with animation style, story, characters and even music, then this comes along. And, in this season, I felt the characters acted alright and natural to their environment and how they usually act, the story went well with some tear jerking backstories and interesting twists, and although it could be abit overwhelming at times from the twists, and, again, as much as art was off or censorship was there, censorship happened a few times in the beginning of the series and the art generally holds up to a mid-tier level, which still lead the series to be enjoyable for me. I think this season at least deserves a 5 or 6 (i…

I'm not much of a reviewer but one of the aspects of this show that I've come to realize after this season is that love is the centerpiece of this show. Now I know this must've of seen obvious to some from the very beginning but this season makes it very clear. Everything that occurs through the story is done for love. All events caused that occurred and all the actions the characters took were driven by love. I find it cool that through all the epic battles and amazing characters something such as love lies at the center of it all.

I'm just disappointed. Bruh This season the plot so far is the best out of three seasons for me. The animation is SO bad the plot is so damn good but the animation just ruin the whole series Escanor vs Meliodas is very disappointing it supposes to be the best fight scenes of all time but Assualt meliodas go brrr like a Beyblade I'd be having a lot more enjoyment if the animations were better I really like the backstory it's soo good sometimes I was not expecting that. The opening is really good I love it <3 The ending has fit the series I guess not bad The soundtrack is still pretty pog just like the first and second season I recommend watching for the plot and please don't expect much from animation

I always enjoyed Seven Deadly Sins. This season gave me mixed feelings. Positively speaking, it brought one of my favorite arcs from the manga to life. The voice performances were still great, the emotional moments were there, and the music was still awesome (its first OP was my favorite). That being said, the animation was a let down. Studio Deen was known for its limitations in terms of animation. While such a problem wouldn't ruin the experience in some shows like Fruits Basket (2001), an action-fantasy series like Seven Deadly Sins definitely suffered. Not only were the fight scenes lackluster compared to the last two seasons (which were animated by A-1 Pictures), the quiet emotional moments really suffered. Conversations became slide shows, character models and elements were sometim…

Story - 5: It was somewhat mediocre. It is actually really really hard to tell since Studio Deen is straight up dreadful. The story line was kind of jumpy and it did not deliver the hype I got from the previous 2 seasons. It felt unconnected often times. Since I, unfortunately, did not read the manga, I can't tell if it is actually the fault of the display of the storytelling or the story itself got worse over the time. (Stupid Studio Deen) Art - 1: Straight up disappointing. Often times it looked messed up or the animators were super lazy and did not put any effort in it. Just to highlight some atrocious moments: - Why on earth would you decide to censor blood as white stuff?? And after that show uncensored blood just to switch back to censored blood again. Sometimes I was confused if t…

So I'll get the ratings out of the way first: Story - 8 Art - 2 Sound - 5 Character - 6 Enjoyment - 6 Overall - 4 And now, allow me to explain. The reason so many of you have noticed the absolute atrocity that was this season's animation, is because - while Studio Deen is indeed the name on the label, they actually subcontracted out this season of Seven Deadly Framesofanimation to studio Marvy Jack - now MJ is a decent studio... for tweening and cleaning, post-processing, and other large-scale busywork that needs to be done for a well-animated show to look properly polished. What Marvy Jack are NOT decent at is keyframe animation - that is to say, actually creating the original animations from scratch based on Deen's stoaryboarding. This is only their second time doing keyframe animation.…

This review serves more as a reminder to never give this show a rewatch on my part. This season was a notable downgrade from past seasons which were never my favourite, but always managed to give that minimum of shonen action where you can disregard bad storytelling, etc. This season had some of the worst animation possible for a show with this much attention on it. Idk who handled the animation and I don't really care. It just felt like they tried to rush the season out banking on its pre-established recognition thinking they could slack on the budget and time given to animators. This was a pathetic cash grab that fails to deliver any sort of quality with either the pacing, the story, the poor character development and the truly awful animation.
