A strange synopsis, isn't it?
B Gata H Kei is one of those anime that makes you raise an eyebrow just by reading the premise. The story follows Yamada, a girl who sets herself the goal of having relationships with 100 men. To begin this objective, she decides to find a boy who can be her "first," and it is from this idea that all the comedy of the work develops.
On paper, the premise already seems absurd, and in practice it's even more so. Much of the humor revolves around Yamada's disastrous attempts to appear experienced and seductive, when in reality she is extremely insecure and inexperienced. This generates several embarrassing situations, misunderstandings and, of course, a lot of fanservice.
I must admit that the anime has qualities. The animation is good for the proposal, the pa…

B Gata H Kei: Come for the Ecchi, stay for the wholesome romance.
B Gata H Kei centers around Yamada, one of the most popular and prettiest girls of her school. Her goal is simple: make a 100 sex friends until the end of high school. If this sounds weird then let me tell you, it is. It is weird and PEAK.
Reasons why I love it:
- Female protagonist in ecchi with an actual personality!! It´s refreshing to see a female character being the dominant and horny one who takes the initiative. Tired of all those passive ecchi girls whose dialogue is 90% "yamete!" "kyaaa" + moanings, who pretend they are not attention seekers? Yamada might be the kind of female MC you want to see. I wish we had more MCs like her! Yamada isn´t sexualized, she sexualizes herself because she wants to be seen as sexy…

Low bar but this show definitely isn't as trashy as it looks. Watched it as a teen and just watched it again as an adult to see if it was as raunchy as I remembered (it is not lol).
Pros-
Female lead with an actual personality at odds with societal expectations but who's totally worth rooting for. In terms of ecchi anime shes definitely a more interesting character.
It promotes healthy sexual and romantic exploration with partners. The shows ostensibly about how comedically horny the lead is actually secretly about how young people should navigate both sex and love with other young people.
This show actually shows tits! Wow! Also when the characters are horny they act horny they don't just sub in annoying anime tropes for an adult situation like people getting nosebleeds instead of erec…

I rewatched B Gata H Kei together with my partner and it proved to be a very memorable experience. We had both seen this series many years ago and remembered it only vaguely, if fondly. During this re-discovery, we found B Gata H Kei to be both a funny and educational romantic comedy series.
The most important thing I want to mention straight away is just how relatable and down-to-earth some moments in this anime can be. Despite the frivolous and ridiculous premise (a teenage girl who wants to have sex with a hundred guys), B Gata H Kei actually focuses on the teenage exploration of love and relationships.
The main characters are awkward and inexperienced when it comes to interacting with the opposite sex. They’re nervous, and things go unexpectedly wrong (or sometimes, right). Their lac…

This anime is definitely a recommendation. Each episode keeps you intrigued about the relationship between Yamada and Kosuda. I hope a studio considers continuing with a second season. It's hard to believe such a gem from 2010 hasn't garnered more attention from other studios.
There are several strengths to highlight:
1. The relaxed plot makes it easy to watch without too much mental strain, similar to Konosuba's laid-back pace.
2. The portrayal of ecchi elements is a must, and the depiction of Kosuda's erogami is particularly well-done.
3. Yamada's character is insanely cute beyond measure.
However, there are some drawbacks:
1.The visual quality, considering its 2010 release, should have been better. Compare it to Fate UBW, where the visual graphics are outstanding, even for its time. Nev…

This is an ecchi anime so you have to make a review corresponding to the genre... I have seen many reviews of anime of this style that complain about "Fanservice" which seems kind of silly to me... For example, a person does not watch a hentai anime expecting there to be no "hentai".
Putting all that aside, this is what I think of this anime:
Well the anime is not the best piece of art but it is very entertaining and fun.The story is something out of the ordinary since in ecchi anime one usually sees how the plot focuses on the male protagonist. In this story Yamada the female protagonist takes the initiative and She is the "pervert" so to speak, The anime is not pure fanservice, it has a lot of romance and comedy. As the chapters go by we will be able to see how Yamada matures and re…

This was probably one of the funniest anime's I've seen in a long time. The characters were believable, and likeable, especially Yamada. It's a very real depiction of a teen remance. Clunky and awkward and uncertain and uncomfortable, but at the same time really exciting, and this anime has a lot of really cute moments between the two main characters. This anime often had me saying "Awww!" and then laughing my ass off 5 minutes later. Anyone who hasn't seen this anime yet, if you like raunchy humour as well as a bit of romance, you'll like this one. I absolutely, wholeheartedly positively recommend this anime.

Ecchi ATACKU!
That is an overall mood of this series. I didn't have so much fun in a while. So glad I got to see this masterpiece even though it was airing more than 10 years ago. But all the gold ecchi standards I cherish are gathered here: fun and exploding story, gentle and persisting romantic mood and those crazy masterpiece reactions. It must have been so much fun to draw all those numerous moments with absurdic but so close-to-your-heart reactions.
Things got so fast right at the start that I was afraid it will get spoiled very fast, but fortunately the story line is exactly like their relationships - you get high at the start and then it boils you at the mild temperature until it almost explodes at the finish. And even then, when you expect everything to happen, it doesn't put you i…

B Gata H Kei is one of those shows that forced the Youth Ordinance Bill to come forward. It is so borderline hentai that it gets easily overboard to the point you are just not sure what to think of it. Is it ok to air on tv? Is it even allowed to be animated? Allowing such works to be in a series format and not in OVA is getting harder to accept. They are supposed to be targeting a very specific audience so what the heck are they doing on television?
Anyways, the show is about a really horny girl aiming to have sex with one hundred random people. The thing is, she is still a virgin in high school and all her efforts focus on some indecisive idiot. Plus, despite her heat she is still chickening out herself at the last moment. So the joke here is basically how a girl is now the hunter, when…

well.
once upon a time i had a bit of free time but no idea what to watch, so i randomly clicked the first entry in the "b" section. laughing at what appeared to be some garbage shitshow i decided to give it a try for the fun of it.
after the first 3 episodes that were a bit like what i expected the series turned on itself and suddently felt like a lot more than what i thought.
i guess i got clickbaited into something actually meaningful. i liked it and you should watch it too if you like romance anime.

I caught up with this seinen during the weekend, first time I've ever heard of it, and decided to give it a go, is just 12 episodes of a lighthearted comedy, and I cannot express how happy I am with this hidden gem. What is unusual about this story is that the main character is a girl (unusual by itself) that doesn't fall into any of the stereotypical anime female character profiles of the genre. Yamada herself is fun to watch, has her own character, does things that many many many times are completely unexpected, and fails so much that is really funny. And what it makes me so happy is the ending, I finally got the ending that I wanted (lol) in one of these comedies, is so special that I was with a big smile across my face while watching. This is definitely one of those stories that you ca…

The general concept of this anime doesn't really appeal to me all that well but it appeared on Netflix a very long time ago and I thought I'd give it a chance.
It has its moments which can be nice and the art style I enjoyed as well but the characters were sort of bland and sort of basic.
The Story was okay but also a bit ahead of itself, it had funny moments of course but just the concept of main just doing a bunch of stuff with random guys wasn't really it for me.
Overall rating is a 4/10 the art style was really nice to look at and some moments I enjoyed a bit.

I am not even that big of a fan of ecchi. This ecchi comedy tho.....
Keep in mind that I've been obsessed with this show since i watched it when I was a teen. Yamada played a part in my bi awakening.
The main character is a girl obsessed with the idea of having 100 sex partners, but she can't reach her goal until she overcomes her insecurities (like the way her lady parts look weird or her B-cup boobs). This show isn't about her overcoming her insecurities and growing or character developement, its about how this arrogant perverted teen girl fails time and time again to seduce one of the most seduceable boring milk-toast guys. Honestly? Queen shit
This stupid bimbo knows exactly what she wants and she sure as hell is not gonna get it cuz she's that much of a bimbo.
I wish i could roll…

Masked as an ecchi anime, this series presents the amusing burning teenage love spirit and ambitions.
And all the goofing-around, drama and of course, fan-service one can expect. A hint of nostalgia, some emotional pondering and a handful of laughs.
Review: START!
Funny story: I was looking for a full-blown ecchi anime (unusual) when I came across this. I expected another harem style, cliché-filled, dumb protagonist and all the usual --- kind of anime and that is what I got from the first episode.
But I had some time so I watched the second one... and the third one. And then I finished the entire series overnight. And now I'm writing a review about it. And its 5AM. Yup...
Anyways, I got hooked is what I'm…

(My first review as you will be able to tell)
Oh my goodness, I must admit I have a lot of love for animes with hentai plots and B-gata H-kei was just what I thirsted and lusted for. I didn't think I would enjoy it as much as I did, but it completely consumed me, body and soul, until I finished it.
First is the story, what can I say its a basic hentai plot. A glamorous super popular girl wants to sleep with 100 guys before she finishes high school. However, she is self-conscience about her lady parts so wants to try and get with an unpopular average guy first. You can tell what happens from there, she falls in love with the 1st average guy she lays her eyes upon (what a classic). It sounds super average, however, it was done so well and in a fashion that consumed my organs including my br…

I'd love to say that I enjoyed this anime all allong with good plot, great technical quality and excellent humor.
But there's a big problem that held me to put it a good grade : this anime is EXTREMELY sexist and let me explain myself.
We have a main protagonist that is female that is totally obsessed with sex, and the male character that is the total opposite : when the cutest girl of highschool try to seduce him, he is shy but never lusty, when the female character is always trying to get him in a corner to have sex with him.
The image of the women in this anime is CATASTROPHIC, the social system illustrated is that women are animals only thinking about sex and that is unacceptable.

Yamada's First Time: How dirty joke comes to be the never got old joke, golden joke way to prevent any H limit. This is a short review, no more long story to detailing every momment. I hate when i late giving my thought.
To the first, until its end:
I must be very sad, as im looking this anime on this year. Yeah, im gonna be so fucking late. The dirty joke here was really good. Like they are just teasing me at an entire series that really make my mind gone wild, and then, at the end, just killing mine right on the spot. Lol. I got jebaited.
Tbh, the story comes as a solid idea. Character personality develop well with so many nice scenes. Yet, as an ecchi i can't complain any bad think, just B-gata way to conclude as the whole plot to be so fucking good. At first, seems boring pace, rat…

B-cat H-kei is an anime that makes the Ecchi style of animes a comedy not tiresome but prolonged more than necessary. The subject about sex around the anime borders the innocence with regard to using eroticizing the girls in this anime a bit exaggerated. He fails to broach a subject by making fun of him and exposing the eroticization to much in the anime without addressing this subject right there. In addition, if you want a comedy ecchi with no bigger pretensions, I recommend this anime.
Tradução: B-gata H-kei é um anime que faz do estilo Ecchi de animes uma comédia não cansativa mas prolongada mais do que o necessário. B-gata is an enjoyable ecchi about a nymphomaniac whose only problem is that she is insecure about being a virgin.
Just like all good ecchi, it progresses smoothly and has intermittent doses of heavy fanservice.
The art and soundtrack is good.
The show also has many hilarious moments, which will leave you in splits.
The single disappointing thing was the ending of the show. It ruined an otherwise mostly flawless anime. I get it that the characters of an anime for some reason are always dense, but even that is taken too far to the extent of ruining the experience of the viewer. After 11 episodes of build up,little to nothing happens in the last episode.
Overall, good for a one time watch and adding to your ecchi list.

Yamada's First Time, oh wow, what a show. I started watching this series after I heard that children's mothers were upset and were trying to argue that this show was "smut" teaching their teens to want to go out and sleep with a bunch of people. Within the first minute of the show you are introduced to what this show is all about: teenagers not understanding members of the opposite gender, and a lot of teens misconceptions about sexuality and intimacy. It is truly relatable and hilarious to watch many of these scenarios crash and burn in this series and it reminds me of when I was a teenage boy who was scared to even talk to a girl. The gags keep coming fast and furious in this series as Yamada discusses her overwhelming desire for intercourse with her inner self manifested into a mini Yam…
