Introduction

Barsburg Empire's Military Academy is known for training elites who bring victory to the empire. Students of the academy freely utilize an ability called "Zaiphon" to fight, while the types of Zaiphon usable depends on the nature of the soldier. Teito Klein, a student at the academy, is one of the most promising soldiers produced. Although ridiculed by everyone for being a sklave (German for slave) with no memories of his past, he is befriended by a fellow student called Mikage. While preparing for the final exam, Teito uncovers a dark secret related to his past. When an attempt to assassinate Ayanami, a high-ranking official who killed his father, fails, Teito is locked away awaiting punishment. Only wanting the best for Teito, Mikage helps him escape. Teito ends up at the 7th District Church where he is taken in by the bishops. It is here that Teito attempts to evade the grasp of Ayanami and the Military, so he can rediscover his memories and learn why he is the person that can change the fate of the world. We have an anime with clear themes and an eccentric cast of characters to help convey them. This is what often makes the medium so great. The story of 07-Ghost is about learning to move forward, in more ways than one. The first of which is learning to overcome grief. The second of which is to accept that you have to choose your own path in life. These may sound very common in anime, but genuinely, Teito Klein (the main character) is such a compelling to protagonist to demonstrate the value of these lessons. The world of the story is not overly detailed. Zaiphon is the magic system of this world, and the audience can easily infer how it works in the first episode. Rarely does the story do anything to betray its initial depiction. Where there is more rich detail to be found is in the setting…

I remember first watching this when I was like 7 or 9, and just recently I have decided to re-watch it as an adult. I have honestly forgotten how nice the soundtrack is for this anime, as it was perhaps my favorite part of it. This is certainly an anime that anyone can immediately get hook in as it does a good job at that. The action can be a little overdone, as it could have done better if it were minimized a bit. The characters themselves were a hit and miss, as some were memorable, and some were not. I feel like this anime could have done better with a second season, but sadly, it was canceled once the first season ended.

07-Ghost is one of those anime that flew under the radar but deserves more love. Released in 2009 by Studio DEEN, this anime is a mix of fantasy, action, and a bit of that classic “bishounen drama” that we secretly (or not-so-secretly) love. Based on the manga by Yuki Amemiya and Yukino Ichihara, it follows Teito Klein, a military academy student with a mysterious past, who gets tangled in a battle between the Barsburg Empire and the Seven Ghosts. Oh, and there’s a lot of emotional bromance going on, just saying. The world-building is pretty solid, and I loved the mix of military themes with religious and supernatural elements. That said, the pacing can be hit or miss. Some episodes are packed with action and intrigue, while others drag with exposition-heavy dialogues. And let’s be real—s…

I actually remember watching this series as a kid, and I remember liking it a lot. I mostly liked the weapons and how cool the characters were. Teito and Labrador were my favorite characters, and I also liked how cool looking Frau was. This was also my introduction to becoming a BL shipper, because I was a Labrador x Castor girlie. Even read their stories on fanfiction. I remember reading the manga as well, and this was actually one of my first introductions to manga. It'll always have a special place in my heart. The show is interesting enough for anyone who likes complex and political plots. Teito was a slave to the empire and he swears revenge against them. He also has a special eye that people are after. I do remember that from my time as a kid, and rooting for Teito's revenge. I was…

Another show from what i consider golden age of anime. 2000-2009. Theres something about the art style and animation i love. Maybe as simple as nostalgia. But still. Theres also the stories they did around this time. The psychology genre. Or as in this case more fantasy alongside shows like Pandora hearts or D gray man. Now this show is put in the Josei category which i didnt know until after. Im usually cautious with this since Hokkaiden or more recently Banana fish which had alot of boy boy love. Not interested. But this is one is not at all in that category. This is alot more story focused with lire and world building. The only Josei part is maybe pretty boys stuff but not like Banana Fish. Really enjoyed this. Good music. The story was interesting. This is another show like previou…

This story Will take you along on a yourney. Tho keep in mind if you do not like "old" animes from 90s and 00s, this might not be for you due to its typical style from "back in the days" Story is about a boy Who is named teito klein, which is super funny cause in Norwegian its translated to "stupid-o awkward" 🤣🤣 His father dies and his being "taking in" by some angels Who are "ghosts". Yes this dosent make sense but its very Well explained in the anime and I do not wish to spoil. I honeslty liker the last 6 EP of the anime the best, has some EP In the beginning made me cry cause IT made me Sad haha.. I see alot of People think this is an yaoi due to teito and Klaud being so close but they only have a big brother/little Brother relationship and looking after each other. The drawing…

A poorly written series that appeals mostly through erotic aesthetics rather than good directing and character immersion. It had a big fandom when it aired, most of which were fujoshis. It was also made by DEEN, the studio anime went to die, with lazy production values and poor directing by the guy who ruined Record of Lodoss War and Beelzebub with his dull handling of the source material. A blend of medieval fantasy and science fiction, visually it can be attractive with its fairy-talelike aesthetics. It combines clergy life, occult mystery and military super-soldier projects for some rather surreal backgrounds. It’s also a series full of bishounens, so it will be extra captivating to the fujoshis; everybody is made to look like a hot dream boy dressed in cassock, any fangirl would kill…

07-Ghost does everything in its power to do exactly what an anime should never do: a boring story, stiff characters, an empty world and each episode feels like filler, including the end. Not to mention that even after two whole seasons it isn't even remotely finished and tried to gamble for additional seasons. Obviously it fell short in that department. Teito Klein is a military student in a militaristic empire. One day he learns, through plot point 13B "villain talks with open door about confidential stuff", that his family basically got murdered by one of the generals. As he fled from the academy he stumbles upon the imperial church and their clergymen. From there he tries to recover his, plot point 1A, "lost memory due to amnesia" over time and uncovers some bits about his origins.…

07-Ghost is a Studio Deen anime from '09 based off of a manga by Amemiya Yuki & Ichihara Yukino. So, this was around the same time that Deen was releasing stuff like , Hetalia and Rapey Yaoi. Story: Our narrative focuses on young Teito Klein, an amnesiac hero with strong abilities and a mysterious power who's about to graduate from the Barsburg Empire's military academy. That is until a piece of his memory comes back and he attacks a superior officer. He manages to escape with the help of his very close friend, Mikage and takes sanctuary in a religious area that the empire doesn't have power over. From there the anime focuses on the Empire's attempts at dealing with him and his efforts to unravel the secrets of his past so that he can retaliate against the Empire. I do have some issue…

This was just OK. Story: OK so we have teito our main character who has recently run away from the military due to spoiler reasons. He comes across a church that takes in everyone no matter what they've done and is basically untouchable by invaders at least until the later episodes. OK that's cool, for the most part teito just goes around thinking about leaving the church and not being allowed to because he has *le gasp* special power. The going around church last until episode 12 where something unexpected happens. I really wasn't expecting it though, as a result though teito acquires a cute pink pet thing that makes an odd noise. Whether this is a complete reincarnation or not is confusing. Teito also has the Bishop exams and can spoiler lose his power maybe? How it's done is odd and n…

Bounded by the Eye of Mikhail, Teito Klein (the MC) has a struggling journey worth investing in. Why? Read below! Story ~ 8: Unlike mainstream fantasy shows, where protagonists strive to be the strongest, Teito Klein aims to survive as he is constantly hunted by Ayanami (the antagonist) for the Eye of Mikhail. With his struggle against the antagonist and uncertainty of his fate with the Eye of Mikhail, this show sets a dark and intense mood. Then, in rare moments of peacefulness, there is comedy and joy to veil the near calamity. Personally, the two extremes of the mood spectrum result in the perfect balance of melancholic reality. It makes the characters, story, and world-building incredibly immersive. It feels relatable (even as a fantasy) and it can tug at one's heartstrings. However…

Originally I had written a much longer and thorough review of this show? But my internet went out and I didn't save the review so when I clicked submit, it all got deleted so fuck this. It was a mediocre show. I don't recommend it. Here's just a random sentence so I can submit the damn thing. This is now a second sentence that is trying to do the same thing as the second one because the guidelines dictate I simply must write some more but whatever, it's fine it's not like I care. A third paragraph meant to accomplish the same thing. Do you think this is ridiculous? Well I thought it was ridiculous when MyAnimeList nuked my review just because my internet went out for a few seconds so the two of us are just as angry.

An all time favorite. Overall Rating: 7.6/10 Story - 9/10: The story follows the journey of Teito Klein. It takes place in a world where angels and devils exist. It's a 25-episode story about Teito, his friends, his power and the struggles that come along with it. Although the plot is serious, there is a lot of comic relief, giving the story a more lighthearted tone. Art - 7/10: The art style is exactly what you would expect from a shoujo/josei manga (e.g. long neck, long limbs, big sparkly eyes), however this does not affect the overall dark tone of the anime. Sound - 8/10: This anime has a very notable OST. Every music used fits perfectly for every scene. Character - 7/10: While Teito is indeed the main character, a lot of other characters introduced in this story are amazing in…

Honestly, I was drawn to this anime by the handsome boys and because it seemed to be Yaoi bait, unfortunately, there was nothing of that and I stayed for the story since it presents a different world with interesting rules that attacked all our protagonists, very abrupted ending. The narrative of the church with religious touches is very unexpected since with all the spatial that happens and supernatural it is a little disconcerting when you find yourself in this story. The boys are very handsome and the aesthetics of the series are not maintained very well over the years

This anime is very beautiful has very intriguing stories like friendship. It has a full-bodied plot, full of twists, and a graphic sector to say the least good. The protagonist, Teito Klein, has no memories of his past, but he is often caught by short and blurred flashbacks. From one of these, he understands that his father's murderer is Ayanami, an army general. After trying to attack him, he is locked up in prisons, but Mikage (his best friend) is ready to save him. The first interesting thing about the plot is the fact that Teito does not remember his past, and that every discovery for him is a twist for the viewer. At first he will only remember short scenes, but with the succession of episodes, his flashbacks will become more impactful. One thing I found very original is the Zaiphon,…

ENG: the anime has a very basic storyline, besides that, there are very few moments which the plot holds the attention of the public. The anime even has a good character design, however they are boring and poorly constructed. Besides that, several moments of silly comedy, action scenes very generics and incomplete history after the last episode make this anime easily forgettable.

On the surface, I could have mistook this as a shounen-based title with the focus on magical action against demons where the majority of its run is set at a church. But researching on it, I found out 07-Ghost's source material is josei-based, which does make some sense considering nearly all relevant cast members in this series are attractive boys and men. Nonetheless, the series is focused on former slave and soldier Teito Klien trying to seek out answers regarding his origins and evade capture by the merciless military captain, Ayanami, and his forces. 07-Ghost attempts to make Teito's struggles a dramatic one as he tries comprehending his past and what sort of direction he wants in life for himself while seeking asylum at Barsburg Church. Unfortunately, Teito doesn't make for the most…

Well 07-Ghost is a good example that an anime needs a second season!!(and no i dont want to read the manga). 07-Ghost was adapted from a manga and is written by Amemiya Yuki(Story) and Ichihara Yukino(Art) and the adaptation of the anime was made from DEEN studio. Story 8/10:The story is a bit slow especially at the start so give it some time and u wont be dissapointed and the one thing i found laking was the end and the "gaps" of the story it gave i was dissapointed because it gave so many questions that it needs a second season for sure so the "gaps" will close. Art 8/10:It was made on 2009 its not old and also its not new its kinda on the center so i liked the art a lot its the art that i like and i dont have any problem about old anime also so the art was very good for my taste. The onl…

I really enjoyed this. Visually, it was one of the most stunning anime I have ever watched: both the setting and the character designs were amazing. I mean there are bishonen and then there are BISHONEN: this was the latter. Wow: I've never seen so many ravishing male faces in one place. And the fact that they're mostly priests is just lunatic. The music was also a stand-out: lovely and evocative. I also thought the characterization was great: the characters were not particularly original, but they were effective. Teito could have been really annoying, but ultimately I found him sympathetic. Frau was a smoking hot badass and actually funny. Ayanami is one of my favorite anime villains: he's just so damn cool and evil and hot and evil. I couldn't get enough of him. The one major downsid…
