Pandora Hearts

Introduction

To young Oz Vessalius, heir to the Vessalius Duke House, the perilous world called the Abyss is nothing more than a folktale used to scare misbehaving children. However, when Oz's coming-of-age ceremony is interrupted by the malicious Baskerville Clan intent on banishing him into the depths of the Abyss, the Vessalius heir realizes that his peaceful life of luxury is at its end. Now, he must confront the world of the Abyss and its dwellers, the monstrous "Chains," which are both not quite as fake as he once believed. Based on the supernatural fantasy manga of the same name, Pandora Hearts tells the story of fifteen-year-old Oz's journey to discover the meaning behind the strange events that have overtaken his life. Assisted by a mysterious Chain named Alice, whose nickname is "Bloodstained Black Rabbit," and members of a clandestine organization known as "Pandora," Oz begins to realize his existence may have more meaning than he could have ever imagined. i really wantes to like this bc people were saying that it has similar vibe to kuroshitsuji, seraph of the end, vanitas no carte, bsd and more, and also i love anything alice in wonderland related/themed, but damn i just cant. i have no idea whats going on in here. in one episode theyre fighting in town and dying and in the next theyre chilling with a cup of tea in a mansion. also almost none of the threads are finished. love the general vibe and music, the pocket watch melody is really cool and i have it in my head all the time. i love break tho such a cutie and his design is amazing (almost everyones design is amazing to be honest).

This anime was so disappointing. I wanna start off saying the first half was amazing 9/10 the second half however dropped to a 4/10. The problem with this anime is after the first half it basically becomes a different show, the characters start off complex and interesting; Oz, Alice, Gilbert, Break but then later on they have only one character trait, Oz is childish, Alice likes to eat etc its just so sad seeing the characters get ruined like that. Gilbert is my favorite character in this anime and the most developed imo. Alice was good at first but they ruined her. Next is the plot. At first it was incredible, it was eerie, surreal and dark fantasy Oz goes to the abyss then learns about the chain monsters, the organization pandora the bakersville family, Alice is trying to get all her mem…

Every time I remember this anime exists I start to twist in agony like a slug on salt. The manga this garbage is inspired on is one of the best and most beautiful stories ever told in a book series. So take this as your chance to get out of here go read that instead of bothering with this hot mess. I'm begging you, run!! Run as fast as you can!! AVOID!! 🏃🏃🏃💨 If you're still here you're wondering why am I being so mean to this harmless mid tier anime? Because it feels like an insult to Mochijun, her work and her talent as a writer. This anime adapts the first few chapters kinda alright, but they ran out of source material WAY too soon and we end up with a mess where the studio team had to use 25% of their brainpower to pull some fanfiction out their asses to give the show some kind…

Pandora Hearts was honestly such a captivating experience for me. From the very beginning, the story pulled me straight into its mysterious, dark, and beautifully layered world. The atmosphere is so unique, a mix of fantasy, gothic elements, and emotional storytelling that kept me completely hooked the entire time. The characters were one of the biggest highlights. Each of them has depth, secrets, and a past that slowly unfolds in a way that makes you care more and more as the story goes on. I loved watching their relationships develop, and some moments genuinely hit me harder than I expected. Even though the anime doesn’t cover everything from the manga, it still left a strong impression on me. The world-building, the music, the emotional tension. Everything worked together so well that I…

The plot had good ways it could have gone. And just knowing that had made me content. It may be 25 episodes however with how they went about going into things it honestly felt like the lore and plotline of a 12 episode season. There were so many questions left unanswered. You could get attached to some characters fairly easily but a lot of characters weren't delved into that would have been nice to delve into. After episode 5-6 It got rather odd with some factors which sort of gave it a fever dream type of feel which is commonly not good. A majorly refreshing thing about Pandora Hearts is the plot. It's not something overused or common, hell it's one of it's own. And generally speaking that is just amazing. The first bits that did make sense were amazing, it was a darker supernatural feel…

I consider it to be one of the most underrated shows there is, why? OST- Yuki Kajiura, name says it all. She collaborated with english singer Emily Bindiger to create one of the best OSTs in anime alltogether, most music in the show defends itself even when it is played alone, without scenes it was made for, especially main song ''Everytime you kissed me'' which is one of my favourite pieces of music whatsoever. characters are enjoyable and engaging, obvious reference to Alice in the wonderland ( for example Xerxes being Mad Hatter) but it is mostly loose reference. At the start we don't really know much about the characters but with time as plot progresses we learn more about them, their past, motives and goals, and it is very rewarding as they are not banal even when following archety…

Oh good old 2000 Japan fantasy. How i miss you. Long before Isekais and social media generation ruined it. Long before talentless writers got their shot at the industry copying each other with the same story. Setup. Characters. Long before Fan service made up for lack och creativity and creating good characters. Long before every MC was a NEET loser. Pandora hearts is excellent in every way. Interesting characters. A plot that quickly chatches on and make you want to know more about the events, characters and plot. An amazing soundtrack. Great OP. The main theme ”Will” is a beautiful piece of music. Battle songs are great. Top voice acting. I cant really fault this show for anything. The only thing stopping its potential for a 10 is the lack of conclusion. But the story got me to the p…

The anime has a good story and good music and has a good character developed i think the art style is great for the show it was perfect in some scenes.I did enjoy the scene where the main mc went insane and serious at times some the character are well rounded they all have strengths and weakes some of the characters are smart and stupid and other two characters Alice and Break they are all was hungry some of characters did i thought react in realistic way and some did't but just the ending is still confusing to understand it alone i might read the manga to understand it better but the anime is still worth watching if you are still interested in the show

Pandora Hearts I have to make one thing clear in advance, if you want to watch "Pandora Hearts" but at the same time you are a manga reader, do yourself a favor and read the manga. The anime adaptation of Pandora Hearts includes the first 3 arcs and thus roughly the first 35 chapters. The last 3 episodes are filler episodes with an alternate ending. Although I was mostly entertained by the anime, this is one of the worst manga adaptations I've seen. The pacing was almost non-existent, and some episodes dragged on for ages. Tension was completely undermined thanks to that, of course. Even some of the most important moments from the manga seemed almost like minor dialogue. As for the ending, there are good and bad ways to present an alternative ending. And here, probably the worst possi…

*Spoiler-free* This is my first review, so please go easy on me, lol. I watched Pandora Hearts with no expectations. I found the anime randomly from user recommendations on another show. I was shocked that I would enjoy it this much! Please take note of this: This show is not complete, and only makes it partway in the manga. It desperately needs a second season to answer the overall-plot. If you’re the type that can’t handle a show ending early, don’t watch it. Here’s an example to what I mean: imagine Attack on Titan stopping on season 1, or having FMA end on episode 30 - if having those shows stop at those points would bother you so badly to the point that you wouldn't be able to enjoy them, then don’t watch this. Otherwise, if you can accept the fact that it doesn’t finish the rest o…

Pandora Hearts is a guilty pleasure of mine I guess... there's a lot of aspects that I love about it, but it's buried in a mess of a show I don't know if I can honestly recommend to people. If you feel like channeling your inner teenager it's got plenty of character angst, dramatic plot twists, wonderland visual themes, creepy moments, that kind of stuff... unfortunately it also has some dated animation, some... really stupid scenes (I honestly can't take that giant evil hedgehog from the early episodes seriously), and the plot ends up falling flat on its face in the last few episodes because they ran out of manga. There will be moments when you're thinking 'damn this is good' and others when you'll be thinking 'man this is dumb'. On the whole I'd say it's worth a watch if you just want…

Sometimes an anime can come together to result in a sum greater than its parts. Logically, this means it has to be possible for the same thing to be true in reverse, Unfortunately, this anime is a case of the latter. On paper, this should have all the pieces it needs to be something special- a genuinely intriguing plot that steps a bit into dark territory with multiple great twists, complexity and depth, one of the best composers alive making your soundtrack... What we get, regrettably, is mediocre and forgettable. First of all this anime is super bloated. Too many characters, super dialogue heavy and too many episodes where it feels like nothing other than a lot of talking occurs. The episode count could have easily been trimmed down from 25 to 20 or maybe even 18. Insult to injury, for…

THIS ANIME DESERVES A SECOND SEASON!!! OR AT LEAST A FULL SEASON WHERE IT CATCHES ALL OF THE MANGA STORY!!! it's such a great and classical story. even all the ost is soo classical and yet so powerful. with it's great classic mystery story i think it can be more popular if this anime gets a continuation. it's drama and romance we can really gets it especially with oz and alice they are really cute together. i really love alice character.she's so honest with her feelings. she's really cute. the story is really great a lot of mystery to solve. and everyone is soo suspicious

I think the Pandora Hearts manga is amazing, it's such a complex mystery story with the most plot twists I've ever seen in a story, with some being some of my favourite twists ever (even rivalling the twists in Zero Escape VLR). The characters are all very well written, the mystery is compelling from start to finish, the atmosphere and aesthetic is beautiful, the ending is very fitting, and everything has a purpose, it's just incredible. If you do or do not end up watching the anime, you should definitely read the manga. The anime on the other hand is just ok. The show only adapts the first 33 chapters of the manga, and to the credit of Xebec, (besides the last 3 eps) the story is adapted incredibly faithfully with some episodes being panel-by-panel copies of the chapters. This means noth…

So, iv'e seen this a long time ago and i don't know why but bit's stuck in my head ever since. This anime has potential to become a big thing unlike many other anime now-a-days, it emphasizes the human heart almost perfectly and builds a personality of a veteran. really tho it could have been better if they advertised it more or re made the whole thing like idk dororo, i mean come on you can clearly see how the new one turned out people!!!! JUST INCREDIBLE!!!!! the story draws you in slowly and traps in a ride of emotions that only some of the shows manged to do, when i mean some i mean less than ten really did for me. the show was good but i felt like they rushed some things , i don't actually mind but you know it matters.....and about the plot holes now , how was alice i mean in that tra…

I actually loved this show. It was one of the first that I watched, and the characters were fun. I loved the music soundtrack, the music might have been the best part of the show, it really helped with getting me absorbed in it and helped Me to feel connected with the characters feelings. I loved oz Vessalius to the point that I couldn't stop talking about him for a while. I loved that he seemed so happy and carefree to others to the point that they thought he was crazy, while on the inside he was actually in a lot of pain and trauma. I loved Gilbert for being a faithful servant even after he gained high status himself. I loved Alice for being just all around ridiculous. And break was hilarious. Ada was just a little too simple for my tastes, and Vincent made me mad. Elliot and Leo were a…

The pandora hearts anime, to me, is a complete insult to the masterpiece that is the manga. I really wish that more people would read the manga before judging the series because of the anime. While the anime isn't absolutely horrible, its a far cry from what Jun Mochizuki was able to mold it into in the manga. Jun Mochizuki is an amazing author whos able to create a story where every little detail connects. She creates amazing in-depth villains and characters, and is able to make a complicated yet amazing manga that leaves you emotional and wanting more. The anime, however, leaves holes in characters, plot, and ultimately rushes things. I think PH had the potential to become an amazing anime but unfortunately that potential was wasted. I highly recommend reading the manga before watching…

Good anime with great potential. It started with a slow story line while introducing the characters then goes to something to look for episodes feeling. You'll get hooked to the series after the first three to four episodes. But eventually the ending got pretty much a let down with weird things happening (but actually it's closely depicted to how the ending part in manga showed.) Music-wise, not that catchy but they are fine. This would have been a great anime if it stayed faithful to its original story. Nevertheless it's not that bad to give this one a shot. Recommended to those who like Victorian theme anime.

Well to begin Pandora heart has a certain great originality from it and by borrowing from a great universe like alice in wonderland it makes the world thats in it even more interesting. The story in some ways can be confusing because they give you bits you might wanted to know earlier as the anime goes on. The pace is good and natural with a good combination of humor , talking and fight scenes. One might say that the story has a little bit of madness in it that can be hard to follow but the method behind this madness will show itself. The entire aspect of the abyss as they call it was one of the things that really pulled me in as i watched it and how the rules and contract worked. I think as you watch the anime you will have questions that keep popping up but i promise that when one watc…

Before I get into it the main problem of this adaptation is that it didn't go very far into the story. It was very faithful to the original except for little details and the last two episodes but the main problem is how much farther the Manga goes than the anime, and the anime leaves off without even reaching the half way point. Story (4/10): You're only getting a slice of the cake with the plot, some major plot elements are told but majority was never animated. Art (4/10): Its unique I guess? Its kinda under-budget feeling. I don't know if they where but it seems like it. Sound (7/10): The music is good I guess? It fits at-lease. Characters (6/10): The main characters you'll have to see for yourself if you'll like them, but my biggest disappointment is how early the anime ends and…
