The Quintessential Quintuplets 2

The Quintessential Quintuplets 2

Introduction

Through their tutor Fuutarou Uesugi's diligent guidance, the Nakano quintuplets' academic performance shows signs of improvement, even if their path to graduation is still rocky. However, as they continue to cause various situations that delay any actual tutoring, Fuutarou becomes increasingly involved with their personal lives, further complicating their relationship with each other. On another note, Fuutarou slowly begins to realize the existence of a possible connection between him and the past he believes to have shared with one of the five girls. With everyone's feelings beginning to develop and overlap, will they be able to keep their bond strictly to that of a teacher and his students—or will it mature into something else entirely? I liked how each character had their own personality so they had their own reason for liking the main character. But that wasn't the point of it i think. Their relationships were rooted in improving their academics so it was rooted in doing something good for them, which came first as a goal for the tutor, not wanting to make one of them his girlfriend or wife, but making sure they pass their exams. The romances came after that so it seemed like a natural thing, it didn't seem forced. I'm not a girl so I can't say if the characters reacted to situations and events in a realistic way, but as a guy I know i'd be taken back if a girl suddenly held my hand like in that one episode.

The second season of The Quintessential Quintuplets clearly diverges from the first in many ways. While in the first, the story is focused on Futaro trying to slowly get all of the quintuplet’s trust, by spending time with each one and trying to understand them, despite the many social issues he faces. In the second, the main plot is straight up which girl will make him fall in love with her. The first season was already pretty banal, but despite the insane amount of ragebait, I still think it was kinda wholesome seeing how each girl developed a different relation; in spite of that, the second is even more banal. I’m not saying now it’s horrible, but I believe many aspects which made this show unique were lost, now just being a nerdy mc with a harem of girls idolizing him. Notwithstan…

This second season of Quintessential Quintuplets is better than the first. It is less of a frivolous shitshow and turns out to be quite captivating in the end, which was surprising for me to experience, since I had been told harem animes were all rubbish. In the first season, the characters were fairly entertaining but not very good. Season 2 makes great improvements in this aspect, with the characters having clear motivations, skills and restrictions. This made it quite exciting and intriguing to watch the girls' race to win over Futaro, as they all went about it in different ways. The way that the competition stressed the bond of the quintuplets and their very morality was excellent viewing. The motif of the girls disguising as each other was brilliant. Sometimes it was telegraphed to t…

Some anime have a great course until the very last episode, but then end the season with a terrible conclusion. This anime is one of them. Let's be honest, no matter how good is the course, character development, storytelling, and narrative of a production are; if you leave the ending completely unsaid and without any context, it leaves you with a awful taste in your mouth. It really annoys me. Come on, let whoever wants to say it, say it, let whoever wants to choose, just close the topic in time. There's absolutely no need to unnecessarily prolong it. And this is a harem anime; in harem anime, there are usually 4-5 female characters and you explore their lives. So why are two characters never mentioned in this series? I'm talking about Itsuku and Yotsuba. They do mention Itsuku a littl…

Oh my days. OH MY DAYS. This thing was indeed a masterpiece as I rated it!!! First of all, gotta praise the artstyle, score, and everything that supports this great anime. Really did bring it to life. Second of all... the quintuplets definitely shone this season. So many things progressed, so so many things that brought them closer to my dense bro Fuutaro. Third of all... the drama. Oh boy oh boy, the drama just keeps getting better. Tension? Check. Rivalries? Check. Heartfelt moments? Check. I even got so damn agitated at one point in the story (if you know you know) that I started banging my head against my mirror about how much I hated them. It's amazing. It really is, this might genuinely convince me to study harder to become a tutor yo. The tension, premise, supporting aspects is ju…

I absolutely loved this show. I watched it several years ago now and I'm finally getting around to making a couple notes about why I enjoyed it. You can hardly throw a rock without landing on a romcom and in a sea as thick as it is with many subpar shows in the genre, this one stood out to me. I enjoyed the characters, their interactions with each other (very fun and hilarious), their quirky behaviors and how the storytelling was crafted. This show delivers on a romcom of 5 sisters who who end up having a fellow student hired to help them improve their grades. The MC is a model student and has a cold disposition at first, but through many hijinks and no small amount of ridiculous situations grows attached to each of the sisters. Each sister is well written, some better than others, but I…

If Season 1 was the setup, The Quintessential Quintuplets Season 2 was the real deal. The drama? The character growth? The confessions? Everything got dialed up, and it made for a way better experience. Story & Pacing The pacing this time? Way smoother. No more excessive filler-like moments—just straight-up progress in the romance department. The love triangle (or pentagon?) heated up, and every quintuplet had their time to shine. Nino’s glow-up? Absolute chef’s kiss. Miku stepping up? Loved to see it. Ichika’s arc? Messy but made things interesting. Yotsuba’s role? Lowkey foreshadowing some big things. The mystery of who Futaro picks was handled way better, making you constantly second-guess your favorite. Animation & Art Massive upgrade from Season 1. The animation looked clean, the…

Gotoubun no Hanayome Season 2 Rewatch After rewatching both the anime and reading the manga of The Quintessential Quintuplets, I felt compelled to jot down my thoughts, even though my writing might not be perfect. These feelings stem from my deep love for this masterpiece. (This review is based solely on what Season 2 accomplished.) Even though this was just a rewatch, the sense of immersion was undeniably captivating. Season 2 was brilliantly adapted, far exceeding the original manga in many aspects. I’ve rarely encountered a romcom harem series that handles storylines, characters, and romantic drama as masterfully as 5-toubun no Hanayome. The second season continues Uesugi Fuutarou's tutoring journey with the quintuplets, but this time, the story escalates into more intense drama com…

Similarly to the first season, this show gets better as it goes on. While this season is lacking the comedic quirks of the tutoring dynamic, it substitutes it with very good character development. These characters aren’t much more complex now than they were in season one. I was questioning whether this show was going to holdup, even with the production budget being increased. The first four episodes didn’t leave me expecting much, so I was blindsided once things picked up. Not only is it just a very entertaining romantic comedy with the nostalgic lover factor from Nisekoi, it’s an excellent showcase of sisterhood itself. We dive straight into the ins and outs of being a quintuplet. While I never thought the quintuplets were bad characters before, the are much more humanistic in this se…

I found it both amusing and consistent with the original. 5-toubun no Hanayome ∬ represents an excellent continuation of the first season, offering both humour and visual appeal. The standout feature is the animation, which is on par with industry standards. However, with the success the series has enjoyed, there is potential for improvement. Overall, it is a commendable effort, but the narrative does not advance significantly. The film delves deeper with more explanations and character development. To conclude, the Miku does not have sufficient screen time. I would like to see more of her. While the other waifus are satisfactory, I consider Miku to be the best. However, it is regrettable that she does not receive sufficient attention in this season.

Season 2 of 5-toubun no Hanayome has left me utterly speechless! I thought I was prepared for the emotional depth and complexity, but boy, was I wrong. This season takes everything that made the first season amazing and amplifies it tenfold. The animation is stunning, the music is infectious, and the voice acting is simply phenomenal. But it's the characters and their journeys that truly make this season unforgettable. I was blown away by the growth and development of each quintuplet, and Fuutarou's struggles to navigate his feelings had me rooting for him harder than ever. And those plot twists?! I was on the edge of my seat, screaming at my screen in shock and delight. The show's pacing is masterfully handled, balancing humor and heartbreak with ease. What resonated with me most, thou…

Somewhat of a letdown for me after S1. The Worldbuilding got a little bigger, still as an SoL it doesn't need huge work and it is not in the focus of attention, but it was a competent and nice plus. Plot continues the story relatively well moving forward, sady it rushes too much which means a lot of changes are drastic and important parts are basically just skipped over. Especially problematic in that it even happens with the inciting conflict of the show, the teaching of the girls. That entire plotline jarbled and half-assed. Regardless of that, the Characterwork is maybe the biggest flaw of the season. Some got nice arcs, even if certain ones subjectively can be little repulsive, but they are true to character. There is a complete 180 in almost every sense of relations, but teenage gi…

This season was packed and twice as enjoyable than the previous imo!!! We got to learn more of the backstory and learn who the bride my boi Futaro is going to marry and he kept his promise on finding her and rejecting everyone who asked him out I really liked Ninos arc and Yotuba was also really enjoyable :) the author nigha was spiting this part of the story for the most part. The art changed this season and some people were vocal when the teasers arrived but I think the art is just as good as the old one. The show really gave a different season I could feel the ending story feeling and enjoyed it. :)

English. In this second season we will see more stories, more plots and of course more love, I think it is a good sequel for the series, here the girls already know that they like the same boy and will try to fight for him. I love that because the author does try to follow the plot and not get left behind. For me, the harem genre that many like, I don't like it at all, I get an unreal idea that few or no one will experience, I don't know if the culture of Japan is different but here in Mexico I think it sounds super unreal. idea, for that reason, as I said in my review of last season, I don't completely love the idea, although it is interesting that the girls are sisters and quintuplets. If you saw the last season, I'm sure you'll love it. They follow the plot from the point where they lef…

Not a bad sequel,so im gonna go give it a 8.33 ratings. In terms of story, this anime adapts the story from the manga quite well and with decent accuracy. However, one thing is clear, maybe how this anime feels like skipping some parts of the story that don't really have an important role but in my opinion it still doesn't respect the whole storyline. In terms of characterization, this anime has one of the unique characterizations by placing different traits on the 5 main existing heroines. Unfortunately, there really isn't anything else that can be discussed other than this. By design, the change in the production studio has changed a lot of the visual assets and potential that this anime can sell. In the end, there really wasn't much that could be done other than complaining because bas…

[!]THIS REVIEW TALKS ABOUT THE WHOLE SERIES AND NOT JUST A STANDALONE INSTALLMENT[!] Over the years, I’ve been watching harem anime that end up being either vacant and boring or severely infuriating, two sides of the sheer negativity a harem has for the most part. The Quintessential Quintuplets (from here on out shortened to 5toubun) is the biggest offender of both sides—a series that doesn’t care about its story, its characters, pretty much its goddamn everything at this point. Not even good voice acting could save this car crash. Yes, I know you came here when I answered this question “What is the worst harem anime of all time?” But yes, I do believe this is possibly the worst harem anime of all time. Before we get to me reviewing the series, let’s recap the disclaimers again: All of…

"5-toubun no Hanayome" Season 2 is a fantastic continuation of the story and deserves a perfect 10 out of 10 rating. This season picks up where the first season left off and continues to explore the complex relationships between Futaro Uesugi and the quintuplet sisters. One of the most notable aspects of this season is the further development of the characters. The show continues to delve deeper into the personalities, motivations, and struggles of the quintuplets, providing a more nuanced and emotional portrayal of their relationships with each other and with Futaro. Additionally, the second season maintains the same level of stunning animation and art style as the first. The attention to detail and the use of vibrant colors once again make the show a visual delight, adding to the overa…

This show is really good, hands down everyone, you might be surprised by the 10/10 and while it might not be a 10 for everyone, I can say with certainty that it gets at the very least an 8.5 or 9. Starting off, this season isn't as silly and romcom as the last one as there is a TON of drama. And the drama is done really well. Typically with romcoms, you get annoyed with stupid pacing, bad decisions by the characters, boring monologues, and bad jokes. There is none of that here, the funny moments are well-timed and actually funny, the drama isn't just overreactions and what not, although I admit its hard to explain without spoilers. I feel like things were quite logical and avoids some of the main complaints that people had with the first season and with romcoms in general. The fanservice i…

I am obligated to write a review for this show after having almost been discouraged by all the negative remarks against it on MAL. I am not going to provide any spoilers, plot reviews, or what-not as that has been done ad nauseum. However, I will say this... If you are a fan of rom-com anime, then you will not regret watching this show. I get frustrated with anime sometimes due to the amount of perversion and fan service that gets injected for whatever reason that it does, and I was so pleasantly surprised that this show had zero perversion and almost no fan service. What little bit of fan service exists was done well enough that I didn't have to cringe through the scenes. Aside from that, this story was an absolute journey. I started off somewhat hating the show because the characters wer…
