This is about as mid as you can get. This show bares a lot of similarities to Overlord in how the protagonist gets sucked into a dead MMO they used to be a god in, and they end up playing as their old OP character. There's the search for other players as well.
This show has some amount of the power fantasy formula, but it's a pretty middling execution. If this show has one major hook, it's the mystery surrounding the world and with the blue-haired chick in particular. It piqued my interest, but like the rest of the show it gets resolved in a way that's just OK. It's foreshadowed quite well at the start, but then gets resolved in a way that's pretty meaningless even if it was fun to see unfold.
Most of the screentime is devoted to gathering the Avengers, the members of the MCs old party…

I've read the manga parts of the anime before it came out and it was rather interesting, however for the anime it was rather somewhat of a letdown as the animation died after the first episode and the anime gave way too many hints towards the plots development.
I think it was a poor adaptation but the anime is still good enough to watch but makes it seem like another anime slop with its animation level.
This was one of my favorite isekai mangas and to see it adapted in such a way...
I think people who watched overlord, slime, konosuba and rezero will like this isekai too.
I mentioned before about the animation but also the artstyle and saturation feel weird for some reason.

great visuals, fight scenes i found some loose ends but still very good animation backing it up. the plot seems like it will age like fine wine so im rating it at a higher 8 or so. it depends on the second season. the intro is great too. the title kinda mislead me thinking it was gonna give off a last boss vibe like the MC is the demon lord of a tower defense game (that's only showed at the beginning) but it's unique because Lufas, the character that the mc possesses after getting isekai'd/transported, does have last boss energy based on how they influence the MC's speech patterns but the mc isnt very dominating so theyre kinda having conflicting personality and memories. that's actually one of the more unique isekai part about the show. i havent watched anything like that yet.
for some re…

Lets play as the last Boss and end this game! Yea no, this anime had potential, but it ended up becoming just another generic isekai.
After seeing its fairly good rating and the positive response from fans, I went in with hopes and expectations. Watching the first episode, I really enjoyed the cinematic feel and the vibes, it genuinely felt like a final boss story with impressive fights. But after three episodes, the plot completely lowered my expectations. The MC has a boring personality and is overly kind, just like a typical isekai protagonist. He’s way too soft toward the people who betrayed him, and honestly, that really bothered me. It felt cringe because it came across as unrealistic. Instead of feeling like a final boss, he turns into a character who just solves everyone else’s pr…

This is one of the few anime that has a truly powerful heartwarming story about a minority (Implied: African American SPECIFICALLY) woman who defies all odds in the face of adversity and racial discrimination。 It is written very well and provides a lot of exposition to explain her roots and how she came to be, as well as what the world was like while she was living and after。 This is a coming-of-age story about someone who realize how their actions in the world had a profound impact on the people they left behind。And how that impact never really is appreciated or valued until they are no longer around to create change and do good in the world。This is a beautifully written story if you dive deep into the context and take the exposition literally。
I recommend this whole heartedly for any bl…

This show was surprisingly good. It's by no means the pinnacle of the genre, but it's better than expected. While initially a bit of a slower start, the story does pick up in pace and intrigue in the later half of the season. There are the seeds of a great story that is sure to take take root in the next season.
Story: 6 initially, 8 in the last few episodes. Definitely building towards the next season
Animation: 7. Overall pretty good, definitely not the worst CGI in the genre.
Music: 7, but 9 on a specific song. Nothing too crazy in general, but there is one song that was fantastic.
Characters: 6 for most, 8 for some.
If you've already exhausted a lot of the higher quality fantasy/Isekai anime and wanting something to watch to hold you over, give this anime a try and see if by the en…

"A Wild Last Boss Appeared! is an entry into the saturated isekai landscape that carries more weight beneath its surface than its ""generic"" exterior might suggest. While it occupies a space often dismissed as repetitive, this adaptation proves to be a surprisingly solid execution of a high-fantasy power fantasy, even if it hasn't quite reached its full potential.
● Short Synopsis
In the year 2800 of the game world Exgate, the terrifying ""Black-Winged Overlord"" Lufas Maphaël was defeated by the Seven Celestial Sages after her quest for world conquest. In the modern world, the player behind Lufas—a top-tier gamer—is suddenly pulled into the game world, inhabiting Lufas’s body 200 years after her supposed death. Now, the Overlord must travel across a changed land to reclaim her former…

Yasei no Last Boss ga Arawareta! is just another one of this season's many isekai/fantasy-adventure anime. There's nothing about it that really sticks out for better or for worse; it is, at best, another "junk-food" series that you can skip without any FOMO, or watch and feel mildly satisfied.
The story revolves around an MMORPG-nerd who is summoned into his character, Luphas Maphaahl, 200 years after she was defeated. From there on, the story follows her (the player as Luphas) trying to find her long-lost allies, the Twelve Heavenly Stars. With this as the overarching goal, the anime follows Luphas and her party as they encounter friends and foes, dealing with everything from belligerent devilfolk to systemic discrimination. For the most part, the plot lacked a clear motive. Whether it w…

Quite a fun watch! The premise and setting is interesting from the start, and the world building is superb. The animation, character design and ost are all terrific, and the fight scenes are epic. Despite it's fast pace, it manages to create an interesting mystery that keeps you engaged and gripped to the last episode.
I will say, for all its good, the series does little to characterize it's side characters. The series feels like it's setting up for an amazing season 2, but in doing so it ends up shirking some characters into one dimensional personalities. Though, I don't think it takes too much away from the show.
It has far more depth than your usual overpowered protagonist anime, but it delivers with action, world building and suspense. I only wish that it was a bit longer. Definitel…

Predictably, this show is just one of many slop isekai churned out seasonally. You won't miss anything by skipping it. All of its issues are ones you've likely seen before:
1. An animation style that ranges from decent to good, but is ultimately ruined by a horrible use of CGI.
2. A forgettable soundtrack that sounds like it could have been prompted with Suno. No hate to the composer, I'd put zero effort into a show like this too.
3. A plot that somehow underdelivers on the expected power fantasy sold in the title. Seriously, for a show with the incredibly flashy/buzzy premise of "A super OP last boss kicks everything's ass", it is incredibly slow.
4. Inexplicable fan-service episodes in a show that is otherwise devoid of it
If none of that was enough to convince you to skip this, the sh…

I'll make it brief, I'm not that good at writing nor I have much to say. I believe this anime is a decent watch. There's many animes I drop quickly, most times the reason being the characters putting me off, being cringy, annoying, unappealing, Yasei no Last Boss ga Arawareta! wasn't the case, here the characters are entertaining and well a plus for me, cute, you go on an adventure with a cute cast of characters.
I give it a 7 because that's the most accurate rating for it in my opinion, keeps you just enough immersed and engaged to not be bad, but its not outstanding either, there's moments that are too slow, or cringy, moments where not much is happening, etc, additionally I believe aspects of it are one dimensional and not that gripping (of the plot).
Things I liked:
1. The character…

First of all the visuals are very good for an "isekai anime" meaning no powerpoint animation, no still fight scenes. It's the opposite, the fight scenes were very well choreographed and the animation quality was kept throughout the series. It's not mind blowing but its not abysmal either.
The story and lore of the world is interersting enough that i want to see what will happen. Apart from 1 hotspring scene, the anime managed to keep me interested.
The characters did their job. They are not explored in debth but I can't say they are one dimensional either. They have a simple goal and that's it. It's not complicated but it's not lacking either.
It's better than most isekai, I recommend it for an entertaining afternoon.

Well to start it off it's a decent watch and the pacing felt slow. I did not like the choices of the lead character Lufas but they were reasonable. The characters are lovable tho they don't have enough background information but I am sure that Amy come later in the series. The way the plot was unravelling was nice and slow. I loved that. Especially the easy they tease you with information and pull out right before they spill the beans. The way information is delivered as the story goes on was nice. I'm really waiting for the sequel. The suspense was warranted and practical. The lead's character is nice the way she is still discovering herself while the series goes son is a strong point on her part making her not to be a generic op character tho she is still op imao. Anyways I recommend thi…

A trashy isekai, which was enjoyable.
This show is, without a doubt, not a very good show. A trashy isekai. The main character doesn't feel much about getting dragged into another world, nor does he question it.
He starts with no real goal besides finding his 12 comrades. The anime felt like it was just about finding a comrade, defeating them, and then going to the next one, though fortunately, that's only the first half of the season. The latter half is much more interesting, with its plot and characters' twists, and even exploring how the world works. At the end, he actually found a real goal and showed his actual personality, instead of relying on the character he impersonates, which was very nice to see.
Though I am sounding negative about the main character, Lufas was enjoyable to wa…

Like most anime in this genre, this one starts very strong and interesting but fails to keep that momentum.
The first episode looks really good visually. There is a massive fight scene that is well animated and well coordinated, and the overall visuals are solid, with surprisingly good lighting. The premise also looks very interesting at the start, but after the early episodes, the anime slowly loses its magic.
The first quarter of the show is good, the two middle quarters are mostly meh, and the final quarter becomes interesting again, ending on a decent cliffhanger. The story and its twist are interesting, and I hope they build on that in a second season, because if they do not, a continuation might not be worth watching.
The characters are mostly cliche but still somewhat interesting…

When I watched the trailer for this one my thought was (oh, temu Overlord. Now with boobs).
In a sense that's a good summery for this show BUT it doesn't give it due credit for the world building.
A lot of thought was put into the world and how the magic system works, how cause and effect would shape this specific game world after 200 years of the story's initial in-game events. I do like that, it's far more effort than is put into your regular isekai'd world or it's characters.
As the season progressed however one major issue came up and pretty much dragged the show down to med-level. Hell it even caused it to dip into bad a few times.
Dina. Just Dina.
Temu Aqua if you will, MCobeauty Useless Goddess if you won't.
Her design gives her away so I think everyone knows the twist be…

nothing much to say cause overall its good good isekai, story, plot, pacing, sound design, overshadowing, world building was the highlight to this show for me because of the a little bit lore drop they reveal at the end of the show, i think thats good way of ending resolution of the season cause it reveal they can offer more in this anime so season 2 wayyyy possible
story:9-10
plot:7
pacing:7
character design:8
animation:10
world building:9
overall its worth to watch for sure totally recommended to watch it, the only dissatisfied i have is that i want to watch season 2 already lol

It’s okay i guess.
The show starts off somewhat interesting, then turns into a typical isekai with a predictable plot and the usual cheesy, corny clichés. The only truly interesting character is the MC, Lufas, and that’s mostly due to the gender-bent background. The rest of the cast is either bland and boring or feels like imitations of characters from other series.
- The animation, especially during the fight scenes, is pretty decent, in my opinion.
- The music is fine: not bad, but nothing worth raving about.
- The art style looks oddly dated, almost like an anime from the 2010s. There isn’t a single standout character design, everyone looks very generic.
- The story is interesting enough to give the show a chance, but that interest steadily fades as it goes on. You’ll likely fig…

So I'm a LN and Manga reader of this. Now, this review isn't bias even tho I waited a long time for this.
Should you watch this? Short answer? Yes.
Long answer:
This anime is an isekai (game isekai where the main character get transformed into his playable character), althou you don't get reminded of that often.
The animation looks gorgeous, they kept true to the LN and manga in alot of parts and the fights are genuinely high quality (some of them are decent quality, but still really good)
Now for the story:
It's really nothing to write home about, but it is pretty good from what I've seen. If you are searching for a good action and mystery type anime, then this can definitely be a side dish for you to gobble up on a lonely friday night. (Yes, I know what you do.)
The story can be a bit…

Diving into this anime without expecting anything is the best way to go, as I did the same as a big fan of Isekai (I swear they lace them with something). From the end of Episode 1, I saw myself continuing without touching my phone, falling in love with the mystery to the point that I was so anxious to find out why the world is the way it is. The characters added different elements that made me understand Lufas more as a leader and why everyone respected them. You could argue that it's a light anime that is fun to watch with good comedic moments, but it does a great job of adding those mystery elements to keep any viewer on the hook. The moment I finally caved in and thought this is worth 10 stars was when we were getting close to understanding the world Lufas is in. They even did a great…
