Its a very short (3 min episodes), sweet, and funny anime packed to the brim with otaku references. It follows the day-to-day of a married couple where the husband, Hajime, is a hardcore otaku who doesn't really have a job and instead supports his wife in other ways. The wife, Kaoru, is a very busy business woman who does most of the actual work in the relationship. At first it seems like these two live in completely different worlds, but as the anime goes on you realize that these two have much more chemistry than you would assume at first glance and even complement each other very well. This makes for some interesting interactions that are often very enjoyable throughout the show's run because they're funny and cute.
There's honestly not much to say because of how short it is, but desp…

"If it's a boy, Shinji. If it's a girl, Rei."
I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying is an enjoyable and funny anime. It's a short tribute to old-school otakus. The husband is inspired by the otaku stereotype of the 2000s and early 2010s.
To be honest, the first part confused me because everything happens too fast. Since it's based on a 4-koma manga, the situations don't last more than 1 minute. But in the last episodes, there is a continuous plot throughout the chapter. The plot is just a sequence of events—sometimes about the same topic, other times it feels random.
If you are bored, you can watch it quickly in less than an hour. It's not a masterpiece or a work of genius, but it's good, and it has references to Evangelion and other animes.

This anime is an easy watch because of the 3 minute length. Based on the manga of the same name this show is a slice of life story between a newly married couple as they navigate the simple misunderstandings that happen in a marriage, alongside their friends and family. At first it seems like the otaku husband and the office lady wife couldn't be more incompatible, but as she story goes on, you realize they really do understand each other more than they realize. There is a good reason these two got together, and every glimpse into their daily life is adorable and inspirational. The art style is very fluid, with lots of (censored) real world culture references and jokes that land every time.

Funny and what it is might be a suitable word for this anime, the comedy is good to enjoy, the romance between otaku and normies can be said to be a unique blend and I like that, they already know each other's vices, try to understand them and live their daily lives in their way, that's what makes me like this anime, it doesn't seem forced and is rich in normal life in general, just wrapped in the funny conversation of those who are not in line.
it's just a shame that the duration is only 3 minutes per episode, But I'm not sure if I make it 20 minutes per episode, the vibes or comfort when watching it will be the same, so maybe it's better like this, for the distraction of people like me who like sci-fi and mystery, I give a rating of 8 because it's as simple as the plot is light and ent…

As the title and synopsis implies, “Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken” or “I can’t understand what my husband is saying” is a show following an extrovert girl having a marriage with an otaku. Specifically, the story starts with the couple just finished having their marriage ceremony and the following episodes would show how they grow as husband and wife. This anime is surprisingly easy to watch as it’s only roughly 3 minutes. But at the same time, they really made a lot of down to earth problems when getting to know your spouse. Especially when they have drastically different personalities, it really gets you invested on their development. Every episode has its own storyline, starting and finishing without you having a need to wait for the story to Finnish. It brings up a lot of to…

I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying or Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken is pretty casual it's a show about the ups and downs of marriage life showing the important nuances of communication, understanding, and mutual support that are required in marriage thus it feels like a more authentic relationship romance show that doesn't attempt to make characters act overtly emotional for the sake of injecting drama in a way that would be contrived and vapid all for the sake of melodrama
It's a challenge to the conventional notions of what a perfect marriage should be and shows that love and understanding can coexist with differences with you and your partner and it's more about finding ways to connect and appreciate the differences as well as show you're support
It can ham up th…

I'm going to say that this anime is a short and cute one.
To begin with, the anime all together lasts only 50 minutes, it is very little for an anime, most animes have a duration of +4 hours, that is... Too much, So I decided to watch something quieter for a change and that wouldn't take so much time.
It is so simple, short, concise and beautiful. Because I know what a relationship is like and this is one that feels very real, they have their imperfections and they still love each other, beautiful
I hope there are more animes like this...

I Can't Understand What My Husband is Saying is such a cute little anime. I don't watch too many slice of life anime, but this one certainly did its job. The episodes are only 3 minutes long, so its really easy to just binge the entire thing in one day. Even though it's short and quick, there's actually little samples of character development in this show, and by the end, your heart just feels so warm, you know you just watched some good anime.
Since this anime is so short, there isn't really much to discuss. I can tell you that if you're interested in calm and cute anime that makes you feel good, this one is a good one. The animation style is very standard, the delivery is pretty predictable, but I still can't help but enjoy it. It's just a simple reminder to enjoy the little things in l…

This is such a cute show. It is quick so you can get through it in an afternoon, and it is sweet. The portrayal of young married life is heartwarming. Definitely a favorite of mine. The uncertainty and uneasiness of early marriage is explored in quick three-minute episodes that all work to build up the relationship between the two. The art style is simple but I find it to be quite charming for the quick shorts that make up each episode. There is some humor to the show but I think that it mostly excels in the slice of life aspect.

For some reason adult life and marriage seems to be a way more common theme for comedy shorts than it is for your standard anime. And considering the 3~ minute episodes, you would not expect this formula to do much tackling such a complex topic... And yet this series rings true as a depiction of modern marriage, not even being that much tied to its Japanese setting.
Of course, each episode is mostly composed of gags and exaggerations, but usually also captures something genuine about protagonist's relationship with each other, their families and friends. What probably helps from my perspective is the fact of the husband being an otaku and both him and wife being to certain extent misfits makes a lot of social dynamics they engage with very familiar. Also, very unusually for anime, the sho…

Even though I'm giving this an overall 7, it's still a nice treat to watch.
I like the characters a good amount, they're not the standard anime characters, more the realistic and grounded characters that you could see in day-to-day life.
The amount of time per episode is great too, only 5 minutes is more digestible than dragging it for 30 minutes and not really getting anything done as most anime does.
Also, the outro is such a lovely song.
Overall, I do enjoy the show a lot more than I expected and there's another season so I'll definitely watch that.

This series is one of many small vignettes that weave together a tale of a married couple and their daily lives. We see them cohabitate, tolerate and learn about one another. They grow closer and continue to mature in their new joint life together.
This series has a lot of fun gags and callbacks to other meteoric anime properties. The Husband, being a deeply nerdy otaku content in his world of manga, doujinshi, and anime give his wife quite the great deal of explaining to do.
Heartfelt and funny, and full of some insightful points into the nature of being in a committed relationship, Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru Wakaranai Ken is worth your time. This entire series can be viewed in under an hour.

No spoilers at all. Not even characters mentioned. review of the story from a feel other than just the characters and story line!
I have very simple feelings for this show. I finished this whole season in 40 mins in one sitting. If you want to watch a show to just get over with very fast and don't really care for following the storyline. Watch this. You will probably like its very very fast pace. It could also be good for background noise. If you are looking for something with lots of story and life, but you want to watch this because it's short and you don't feel like watching the standard 24 mins with 12 eps. Then I would suggest to suck it up and watch a different show. The story is fine. That's all I will give it. Its not bad in any way, its just not my cup of tea. If you are one for…

Have you ever wondered what would happen if a "normal" office-job worker married into an Otaku? Well, that's essentially the basics of this show. With less than an hour of runtime for this entire first season, 'I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying', is such an adorably cute and lovely show that I couldn't get enough of it. It's got great characters, and it's story is jampacked within such a short time frame that it's almost certainly worth a watch.
The Art-Style is minimal, and the story is pretty basic when compared to most other SOL anime, but it's just too damn charming and has such a satisfying ending that I feel everyone should at least try this show out. It's not breaking new ground, but hell is it a fun watch.

Can be a bit ecchi sometimes, but if you like otaku culture and romcom anime, this is great.
The whole series takes about 80 min. Your Name is longer than this entire series that has two seasons. Is the series a "must watch" like I would say Your Name is? No. But, the show is good and definitely worth the time put into it.
While usually comedic, this show has really great moments when it gets a bit serious and also when it gets wholesome. It's funny and cute to see how the main characters, who have quite different approaches to life overcome their differences to live together peacefully.
I cannot emphasize enough how you can squeak an entire season out of this show in under 40 min. If you like comedic anime, and are ok with adult humor then this is a great show for you!

Thirteen short three minute episodes, which you'd be able to watch in one sitting, if watching anime episodes back to back is your preference. There's sort of a story to I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying, about two 20 something year olds that are husband & wife living together in some apartment & the husband is an otaku & he pretty much just watches anime every day of the week while his wife has an office job. There's some funny moments within this anime, usually when the wife got drunk, because drunk people can be funny. I thought it was a good anime, even though it was a short one.

Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken is a wholesome, marriage-centered anime that you can watch in one sitting and not worry about wasting a ton of time.
I think the story was really good, and had some funny moments to go along with it. As each episode is short, averaging at around 3 minutes per episode, I also enjoyed that I could watch a few episodes during spare time. I also enjoyed the references to games and other anime a lot. I rate 8.
The artstyle is something that fits the anime in general. Happy couple + cute artstyle + funny moments = worth giving my attention. It's on par with Nichijou, which is a good thing if you didn't know. It gets an 8 from me as well.
rating sound quality is something I don't find necessary for this review, as I don't often complain about such thin…

This short series isn't what I was expecting, but every time I start an anime this happens.
Let's get into the anime basics! The Story; based off the cover and title of this anime I was expecting a Japanese man marrying an English women (someone who doesn't understand Japanese well). This story/plot is actually relatable for me (someone who speaks in fandom/"otaku" terms which doesn't make sense to common people). I loved watching the Tsunashi couple and how much in love each-other although they have different interests <3. Art; just like any one-shot series the art thats that very "quick" and comedy style that I love. Usually when an anime has this type of animation you know it's going to make you laugh. Sound; beside the cute ending that made me hum along every time, I love the quirky s…

<3 I stumbled upon this anime by accident and it turned out to be a calm, relaxing, and nice break from all the mainstream fighting animes. But from the first episode to the last episode this beautiful masterpiece will pull you in with the outstanding characters, a peaceful art style, and just over the top sound that fits perfectly with the funny and relatable main characters. This anime has definitely become one of my new favorites and will always be close to my heart. Also, the random one-second cutscenes scattered throughout the show really sent this anime above and beyond. what a wacky show<3
