The animation is definitely nice, especially during the fire abilities and fight scenes. There are some really cool moments visually, and I can see why a lot of people enjoy this anime. The style and effects are pretty damn good when things get serious.
But for me, the story was kinda boring. Maybe its just not my taste, because I never really felt that strong urge to keep watching. I actually ended up putting it on hold for a long time before finally coming back to finish it 😂 At some point I was basically watching it just for the sake of finishing the damn thing.
There were still some interesting characters and moments that I enjoyed, so I wouldnt say it was bad. It just didnt hook me the way other anime do. The animation carried a lot of it for me, but the story itself wasnt really d…

Ts is just too cliche and I cant fucking bear it.
Idk if its because of I did leave it after watching season 1 but I can say that (depending on my thoughts) its just a classic shounen series which does not give any difference when it comes to story. It was really fun to watch, the animations were incredible either but unfortunately thats all. Maybe I did expect too much but I dont really know, didnt get my interest at all. The potential of the series is really good, the power system is interesting and the concept is good either but unfortunately its just stuck with a cliche story-telling. The characters, their motivations, their depth is too superficial. I didnt really expect to watch incredible characters, perfect story-telling style. Being honest, its not the main purpose of the anime a…

Fire Force: Late to the party, but no regrets
Perhaps it’s never too late to jump into a series—or at least, that’s what I’d like to believe. Often, once the hype has died down, it’s the best time to evaluate a show objectively. While Fire Force is currently wrapping up its story with a third season, I’m just taking my first steps into it. Here are my impressions of the first installment:
The Hero’s Journey: When you're already used to the current landscape of the genre, the word "shonen" usually points to one thing: a path of redemption through power scaling to reclaim something lost. That’s it, and FF follows this blueprint to the letter. There might be more or fewer random elements, but the foundation remains the same.
So, where is the hook? It’s in the form and the execution. For Fi…

Oh man, this anime had lots of potential but they ruined it with sht ton of ecchi. NO! I don't want to see a girl strip down every fkn 5 minutes. And the same girl cries for people not seeing them as a fighter. and then keeps beating that person by blaming him for assault. It is just a big fat pity they chosed this path.
Without the stupid part, the mc, powers in general, religion is amazing. I would still recommend it
The power system is an absolute visual spectacle. The animation studio managed to take a single element—fire—and make every single pyrokinetic ability feel distinct, creative, and explosive. The sound design alone, particularly the heavy, bass-boosted thumps of the ignition abilities, elevates every fight scene into something unforgettable.

=====PROS=====
+ There's some unique ideas here. It's mostly just aesthetic differences, the shounen formula with a fresh coat of paint but it does try. The concept at its core felt something new.
+ The art is decent, reminded me of Soul Eater. It's not mind-blowing but does enough to make the fights and environment pretty.
+ The MC is not annoying, this is a genuine plus. Many shounen shows don't have this. Shinra is plain but not frustrating…

Animation style is insanely good, everything looks amazing and when they tried to make it creepy they succeeded so bad. Plot is interesting and unique rarely predictable but characters are a little plain written. MC is like every other main character. The only character that's interesting is Joker and we have seen so little of him here. The main feeling about the anime is that it's basic and like many other animes, even though the story is actually one of a kind. Like, while watching you feel like you have already seen something like this but the truth is you haven't lmao. The curse of Tamaki is gross and I hate them for that. Other than that it's really enjoyable and refreshing, only a little boring at times.

If you miss a classic shonen that isn't quite peak nor its bad, this show is good for you twin, it has decent writing, it feels quite empty world at first but slowly it starts to get you interested in the world, it has "fan service" though its more like joking about fan services in animes that doing fan service itself, alot of people do not like it or just dont get it
and you know david productions does a consistent job on making animes (and awesome sound effects) so you know ts gonna be decent at least

Fire Force didn't really grab me in the first few episodes, but it gradually developed into a story full of nice and well-thought-out action, great jokes and unforgettable characters that you'll fall in love with. Each main character has a unique and incredibly cool character and ability, the plot also offers a number of secrets, and after a certain point, you don't get bored at all, whether the plot speeds up or slows down - I, as a viewer, was simply caught in one fire! The firefighters are a sensation and I look forward to their next interventions with a big smile.

Fire Force delivers a high-energy action narrative around a world haunted by a terrifying phenomenon known as spontaneous human combustion. In this setting, ordinary citizens can suddenly transform into destructive beings called Infernals, creatures born when human bodies ignite and lose all consciousness. These tragedies occur without warning, turning once normal individuals into living sources of fire capable of destroying entire districts. To confront this crisis, specialized brigades known as the Special Fire Force are formed. Each company combines firefighters, soldiers, and individuals with pyrokinetic abilities capable of controlling flames. Their mission extends beyond extinguishing fires. Members must also release the souls of Infernals through ritual execution, an act treated bot…

A shonen disappointment, sadly.
I love the artstyle and overall idea of characters, no surprise since I already enjoyed watching Soul Eater which is created by the same mangaka. The fighting scenes are great and the superpowers are fun, especially the sound design with it's ridiculous deep "oompf"s add a satisfying tone to the punches. The story itself starts promising, a conspiracy and lots of mysteries to unfold. But unfortunately everything drops faster than you'd expect. Here's three points that annoyed me the most:
- The anime fell apart soon. After a short while we just get these "recruitment" segments: the hero's find a new character and then they spend a couple of episodes to solve that characters problems and get them to join the team. Rinse and repeat with the next "character o…

Do not watch this. This is not Soul Eater. This is not good. The characters lack personality and feel like cardboard cutouts rather than real people. The plot moves far too quickly, skipping over world-building and character development in favor of flashy battles and forced drama. Relationships between characters are pushed by the script rather than earned—nothing feels natural or believable.
The animation is... good, I guess? At least visually, it has some cool moments. The art style is stylish and does resemble Soul Eater, but that's about where the similarity ends.
The story is generic shounen fare with an edgy coat of paint. It's not unique, and when it's not predictable, it's just confusing. The show tries to be deep or emotional, but it lacks the groundwork to make any of it land.…

Fire Force Season 1 ignites with a strong 9/10. It introduces Shinra, "the devil's footprint," and his compelling journey in a unique world battling spontaneous human combustion. While the series sometimes leans heavily into fanservice, the underlying story boasts solid character development, particularly for Shinra, and delivers genuinely unexpected plot twists that keep you guessing. The art style spectacularly visualizes the intense, fiery combat. Characters like Shinra possess almost "broken" powerful abilities, leading to jaw dropping final fights where their reactions mix shonen grit with comedic relief. The first OP and ED are god tier. A thrilling blend of action, mystery, comedy, and ample fire, it's highly recommended, setting high expectations for Season 2.

Summary
Imagine living in a world where people suddenly catch on fire without warning.
These people turn into dangerous creatures called Infernals.
To stop them, special firefighter teams are created.
One of them is Company 8.
A boy named Shinra Kusakabe, who can shoot fire from his feet, joins this team. He wants to become a hero and find out what really happened to his family when their house burned down.
At first, it seems like they’re just putting out fire monsters.
But soon, Shinra discovers something much bigger going on.
A scary group might be planning something huge, and very dangerous.
Story (⭐7)
The idea of people turning into fire monsters is super cool.
The world feels cool, but it’s not fully explained.
We don’t really get a sense of what’s going on outside the citie…

"Fire Force" is a fun watch that does a great job encapsulating the themes and emotions of actual fire fighting, without actually doing any real fire fighting. Anyone that has been a fire fighter for a decent amount of time has seen some horrendous things. As the show mentions in a lot of their openings, death by fire is one of the most feared ways to die as it is the most painful and agonizing way. Most firefighters have to see that death firsthand. Despite having this trauma, firefighters continue with the profession as they hope to save people from this horrendous fate and ease the pain of the family members of those they cannot save.
The show itself is kind of like a rollercoaster. It starts off sluggish as it has has to give Shinra's backstory (mostly through flashbacks), but once t…

(general) If you are undecided on weather or not you should watch this anime, I suggest you give it an honest try. Even episode one has a lot to unpack and it sets up the story in a fun and interesting way. It has really cool and creative fight choreography throughout not to mention the sound track is very enjoyable. Overall, not particularly a MUST watch per-say, but there is undoubtedly something everyone can enjoy about this show one way or another.
(Characters) The characters are another important thing that all shows should do good at. While fire force is not particularly well-known for its characters, I do believe that they are all very well thought out and fit the genera perfectly. You have the main character Shinra, who (while admittedly following Shonen norm) is passionate about…

Overhated...
I've definitely heard bad things about this anime (specifically abt the fan service) but honestly as i watched it i didn't think the fan service was nearly as bad people stated (+ you could always fast forward a few seconds if you're bothered by it) anyways i'll break this anime down below : D
So first of all the plot isn't anything crazy but from what i've seen it is a pretty interesting concept, i mean basically fire fighters but with powers instead how cool is that xD. In short there is multiple fire force companies (1-8th) each doing their thing fighting people that suddenly started lighting on fire (they're called infernals) There is more to the plot but i'd like to keep this short.
So how about the characters? First of all the MC is very likeable, pretty basic but his…

Fire Force is a show with an amazing concept that is held back to an embarrassing degree due to many factors. As a huge fan of Atsushi Ohkubo's previous work, Soul Eater, I came into this expecting something of similar quality, but at the end, I was left with a sense of mediocrity. While the show has some cool concepts and fantastic fight scenes, this show has mediocre to terrible characters, strange directing decisions, and a unimpressive story, all of which I will cover,
Story: 6/10
The overarching plot of the story revolves around the mysterious nature and nature of the Infernals, as well as those who aid them. The antagonists of the show range from rival companies, to cultists who directly support the Infernals in mysterious ways. While mysteries can be very entertaining, Fire Force'…

I am relatively new to anime, and while I was looking for something to watch, I found Fire Force. I liked the show for the most part, but there were things that felt weird and/or out of place.
The story itself is a standard Shounen plot: the main character (Shinra) wants to become a hero and protect people. It is not anything special, but it works just fine. The power system is pretty interesting. There are 3 types of people: ones who don't have powers and can become infernal at any given time; people who can manipulate fire; and ones who can create it. It is a cool power system, but nothing insane. My only complaint about it is that the power system provides lots of plot armor, as those who have powers can't become infernal.
Both the animation and art style are amazing. No complaints…

Fire force really gets wayyyy too much hate honestly, actually fire show that is probably worth giving 3 episodes to anyone.
Art/animation - 9/10 exceptional animation all througout, some supreme fight scenes and great looking experiments with the colour pallete. Character designs are always good and smooth when fighting, only major issue with the animation is the main issue everyone has with fire force and that is the fan service, alot of it just doesnt make sense and only lets me down whenever it happens. Even as someone not opposed to fanservice the wild nature of it in this show doesn't fit. There is a time and a place.
Characters - 9/10 Shinra is a seriously great main character who gets some amazing development. The enitire crew all just seem like really good people to be around, y…

Brief overview: Not worth watching, unless you like fighting anime
This review will be based on seasons 1 and 2 as both seasons are pretty much the same at the time of 31/08/2024
Introduction
Set in a world where at all times there will be cases where a normal human being will be infected with a flame virus that causes them to turn into monsters. A military force that mainly consists of fire force users is established to eliminate the threat of the monsters.
Characters 3/10
So the character here is more like what the fuck because look, ok you have this priest girl that basically does nothing, but pray to the enemy for forgiveness. The problem is, what does the praying benefit do in the midst of the battle? It literally does nothing, and she is there for nothing. The character is also so…
