Fruits Basket: The Final Season

Fruits Basket: The Final Season

Introduction

Hundreds of years ago, the Chinese zodiac spirits and their god swore to stay together eternally. United by this promise, the possessed members of the Souma family shall always return to each other under any circumstances. Yet, when these bonds shackle them from freedom, it becomes an undesirable burden—a curse. As head of the clan, Akito is convinced that he shares a special connection with the other Soumas. While he desperately clings to this fantasy, the rest of the family remains isolated and suppressed by the fear of punishment. Tooru Honda, who has grown attached to the Soumas, is determined to break the chains that bind them. Her companionship with the family and her friends encourages her to move forward with lifting the curse. However, due to confounding revelations, she struggles to find the tenacity to continue her endeavors. With time slowly withering away, Tooru contends with an uncertain future in hopes of reaching the tranquility that may lie beyond all this commotion. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

'I want to get married!😔 I love this anime so much! Watching it makes me nostalgic for the days when I used to watch classic romantic series like Ao Haru Ride. This season, we've been treated to a wonderful mix of sweet and bittersweet drama and comedy, and I'm really looking forward to the film. The characters have developed really well; I really like who they've become. I don't know why I put off watching this masterpiece for four years. This anime has really made me think about getting married. It’s beautiful and touching when a work of art evokes such strong emotions and a desire for something positive like marriage. It reminds us that art, both past and present, can stir our hearts in a powerful way. A series like Ao Haru Ride can truly evoke nostalgia and capture the beauty of simp…

By far the best season of Fruit Baskets and was good but deserving of an 8.9+ rating is a joke. Before I get hate for this I want to say this anime is not bad but is not amazing either and all the expectations you might have, this won't live up to it. This season really focused a lot on the characters and bonds with their loved ones and was very good compared to the others however many things are so forced into the characters nature, personality and making a lot of them to not act their age or act insanely edgy which gets justified by "ThE SoMa FAmiLy GaVE AlOT Of Trauma" just stfu. The thing that pisses me off the most is that everyone just is insanely selfish except Tohru because she has to be the heroine to save everyone for the happy ending yay except no because the author just throws…

What an amazing anime. I loved it so much the only complaint I have is that I finished it far too quickly. I related a lot to a few characters in this series it's a bittersweet anime. It's definitely going to get a few tears out of you but oh it's Definitely worth a watch. I usually look up trailers for animes before I watch them and I wasn't that interested from the trailer but wow just wow. I feel like the story was good it had some sad difficult moments but it also had moments where you got to know the characters it didn't feel like the anime had forced filler episodes as I've seen in a lot of other animes you have a few boring episodes here and there. But I really feel like throughout the whole anime I did not get bored even if it was a backstory a flashback or a somewhat of a fi…

I never watched the original but I've heard this is a great Remake of the original following the original story beats of the material. Now if you got past the 2nd season this is by far the best season of this anime, it ties up a lot of the loose plot threads and overall it feels satisfying. My only complaint is Akita being so prevalent in the series and we really only got an explanation and depiction of her true character as well as her history from the end of last season till now and she was not a major focus until this season. In my opinion this season is an 8/10 but the series overall is a 7/10 because I felt like if allowed to, this story could've been arranged better but I'm content with what I got. Don't expect every character to get development as not every character needs screen ti…

This is the best season of the show, but it's still not a masterpiece. It's still a great anime though, definitely a 8/10. Romance was very good, but not peak. Some of the relationships were interesting and compelling. Even a particularly foul and nasty relationship, was interesting to watch. Though some relationships did nothing for me. I could see why they were paired together. The idea was great on paper, but the execution was poor. They just did nothing for me, and I'm not talking about the main ship btw... I'm talking about another ship. Tohru x Kyo were fire. I do love the explorations of generational curses, and how breaking the zodiac curse was more so about breaking the generational curse. If Kyo didn't mature and kept holding grudges, he would've turned out like his father: bi…

Fruits Basket is an exceptional anime that features a compelling storyline and well-developed characters. I seriously liked the anime. But I could not give it a 9 as it did not live up to other shows. The Story: It is about how Tooru Honda lives in a house with the Soma's. She lost her parents are was essentially living in a tent so the Soma's took her in. We are introduced to Yuki Kyouma and Shigure (The Guardian). Yuki and Kyouma are both Tooru's age, and she is looking after the cooking and cleaning in exchange for living there. I will talk about her later on but man she is such an amazing character. Anyway, the plot is that Yuki and Kyouma (And other friends we are introduced to) are Zodiac people who can turn into animals once hugged by people of the opposite gender. This element mak…

Spoiler-less, TL;DR, fast, simple, and easy-to-digest review: Rainy, Family, Bond... James Bond 8/10 Animation? Excellent (+++) Although slightly better than the 2nd one, I think this season brought the best art style and animation the series can offer. Characters? Good (++) Great range of characters... except for one. I still hate that particular character... and you should too. Story? Excellent (+++) A worthy conclusion to the series that left viewers in tears... except me, because I don't cry in anime. Pacing? Good (++) Has greatest payoff in the entire SoL. Period. Although... still slow burn. OST? Excellent (+++) Get your clapping hands ready as the symphony ends with triumphant end! Enjoyability? Ok (+) Nice ending, unreplayable unless you replay the entire series.

For the final season, I'll give it a 9 because it closed the story quite nicely and even threw in an extra bit there in the final minutes! Now, onto the technical aspects of the work as a whole: Soundtrack and Audio = 10/10: To me, it was responsible for conveying most of the anime's drama. Sometimes, even if the scene wasn't that heavy, the soundtrack was so good at evoking intense emotions. For me, it was by far the most positive aspect of the anime (Congratulations, Masaru Yokoyama). Art (Character Design and Animation) = 8.6: The character designs and backgrounds were quite beautiful, and the animation remained very consistent from start to finish. However, I felt the lack of some more artistic moments, with beautiful shots that would leave the scene etched in memory, despite having…

I can literally write a two-page rant on how Akito’s action can’t be justified just because your mother genuinely loved your father and not you. Sure, she has a horrible mom and shitty environment, but who isn’t in the fruits basket world? At least you're getting treated like a princess and loved by 13 cute animals. But people you are tormenting and stabbing got it worse. The worst part is no one ever held her accountable properly for her shitty act. They all went with that toxic flow in the name of bond. Even after the curse was over, did anyone even expressed a bit of anger on her for almost killing their lovable Tohru? Fruits Basket - there’s just so much to like about this series. The amazing and big cast of characters with their deeply moving backstories (traumas and how they are he…

This review will sum up my thoughts from the first season to the very final, pretty much my overall thoughts on Fruits Basket. Fruits Basket is an anime that I initially find very odd during the first few episodes, like seriously a drama show about zodiac animals that sounds extremely silly. But I still continued and watched with an open mind. To my surprise this show is so much more than just zodiac animals; It is a story about bonds and connections, what it means to be human, existentialism, self-acceptance, Exploration of ones identity and so much more that are tackled in this series. [characters 10/10] This is I believe Fruits Basket’s strongest aspect, it is their cast of characters. Every single character has their own unique personalities and traits. Fruits Basket is really good i…

Fruit's Basket. Picking up this show surely is the greatest thing I ever did in my whole life. This whole show teaches me of life that we will meet someone who will care for us, who will save us, who will change the way we live right now. Tohru shows how much that eventhough you're hurt you can always be the one who saved everyone else who were burdened by their own problems. A special place for me to cry to. A special show that shows the real one the one who cares about you. I know that someday that there will be someone like Tohru in my life. All I Need To Do Is Keep Moving Forward. Thank you Fruits Basket.

this is one of the best tv shows i have aver watched and that i will ever watch the artistic talent and creative skill it took to create something so amazing is practically impossible it was a one in a thousand chance that a franchise so constantly good exists. each character is written with a mastery of writing skill making them all entertaining and memorable. the story is the most beautiful heartfelt romance all anime fans are looking for in the sea of shit that is the seasonal releases now beautifully built and crafted so that nothing is given to you and at the same time everything is given to you which is kept up across 63 episodes 1 film and 23 volumes. in conclusion Fruits basket: the final is a high 10/10.

This review covers all three seasons of Fruits Basket 2019. There are no spoilers. The anime follows the manga almost to the letter (with one exception, which I'll go into later). So the rest of this review will pretty much apply to both FB 2019 and the manga. If you only ever watch one shojo anime for the rest of your life, make it Fruits Basket 2019. It is SO. DAMN. GOOD. There's a reason it's been the only shojo to go into the MAL top 10 (and it even hit #1), and is at the top of many "best of" lists. Most fans read the manga and/or watched the 2001 anime as a teen. But I discovered it in my 40s with Fruits Basket 2019, and it captivated me to the point that my family decreed I was obsessed. My teen and I discovered it together, and we both read the manga once and saw the show three t…

I just finished Fruits Basket and its evoked a lot of thoughts and conficting emotions within me. An inundation of thoughts and a deluge of conflicting emotions. But the essence of great art is its ability to evoke such maelstroms of thoughts and emotions. Or, that is the essence of great art to me, at least. So, I want to articulate these thoughts and emotions in a review before they are gradually eroded by the passing of time. First and foremost, reaching this stories conclusion has left me somewhat crestfallen. Which may seem hyperbolic to many. But when a stories world and characters are able to completely immerse me within them, I'm always deeply sad when they inevitably end. So as to discern exactly why Fruit Basket is capable of eliciting such powerful sensations, it'll be necessar…

Fruit Basket - The Final In the beginning, I was very skeptical if this anime would convince me, my fears vanished surprisingly quickly. These 3 seasons have given us a great time and were very enjoyable to watch. Fruit Basket is undoubtedly one of the strongest shows, in the area of character backgrounds and in reflecting the fears of the characters. It has a very relaxing atmosphere and some quite endearing moments and amusing scenarios. As the season progresses, you learn more and more about the characters, their problems, and their backgrounds, as well as how they face them to go further into the future. All in all, this sounds very convincing, if that were all, unfortunately. To that, I'm sorry to say that this anime doesn't stand out far from your average slice-of-life romance.…

If any anime show deserves a 10/10, it's Fruits Basket Final. At the very least, it's the greatest shoujo anime show ever made. It caps high-stakes drama, and captures such a wide array of human emotion so perfectly. Fruits Basket starts out slow, with a massive ensemble cast that takes about a season to fully introduce, but after that, the show gets progressively more intricate and becomes a true masterpiece. Childish characters grow into truly profound individuals, in part thanks to a girl named Tohru Honda, who while subject to a running joke as a plain girl a "dummy," is the most pure and emotionally intelligent character of them all. This show balances comedy, seriousness, and heartmelting drama in a way like no other. Some shows, like Violet Evergarden, do one emotion well such as h…

This review includes all the seasons of Fruits Basket. I. What's it about? We're all familiar with the quote: "It's okay to not be okay.", and that single line best describes the philosophy and nature of Fruits Basket. It tells us that we all experience tragedy, pain and sadness, but at the same time, optimistic things like love, empathy and belongingness come to remind us that life is worth living. It tells us that both the genetics(nature) and environment(nurture) of a person play a critical role in shaping one's identity. The major conflict of the story is about fatalism vs free will - can someone truly escape his/her destiny or are they bound to fail from the very start? The subjects and themes of the story are crafted in a palatable way in which the audience can easily relate. If you…

I have a lot of issues that root from season 2 that it left far too much for this season to fix everything for me, though it has a positive resolution in the end that could be satisfactory for most. I just wish I could overlook things and enjoy this as a suitable conclusion from my point of view that built gradually in twice as many episodes prior to it. It shows at least some redemption from Akito, a realization and development that really is needed, though the thoughts of a happy ending required it. No stone was left unturned and questions were answered, leaving little on my mind when I was done watching it.
