Introduction

The aloof high schooler Mo Fan has found himself in a universe similar yet distinctly different from his own mundane one; it is a place where magic has replaced the essence of science. Here, the most capable students are taught to master the wonders of spellworking to fend off large devastating beasts that lurk in the forests surrounding the city. Like his previous life, Mo Fan remains the son of a poor laborer and the older step-brother to a crippled sister. Despite these disadvantages, he dreams of attending a magic school to become a magician—a highly respected and lucrative trade—in order to repay his father for his hard work. Mo Fan is accepted into a renowned magic institution. However, rumors spread about his poverty and lack of magical ability, labeling him as the laughing stock of the school. Nonetheless, Mo Fan manages to harness not only the powerful fire element, but also the rare lightning element! Now armed with dual abilities, what dangerous encounters will the versatile mage face? I guess I could start the review without any big opening words. Everything about the production of this anime feels like the '90s. The aesthetics, the design, the story, the way their eyes are drawn when they are michivously laughing, the Hanna-Barbera sound-effects of falling, the short runtime (about 18 min per total, minus the 3 min for the OP/ED, minus the 30-90sec in the beginning, thats actually the ending scene of the previous episode)... Very shortly: the graphics are meh. The usual (of that time) designs, artstyle, colour palette. Very simplistic monssters and spells drawing. Even the pantyshots are from then. (I could also nitpick and talk about scenes like the one when the teacher reaches to pick something from his palm and it looks like his hand got 10 times bigger, her elbow…

TL;DR: You'll have to be very forgiving in an awful lot of aspects to enjoy this show. It doesn't have much going for it other than an interesting premise, unfortunately ruined with a really bad execution. It's also probably more bearable if you watch it at 1.25x speed. — I generally enjoy the "OP MC" trope, and happily watched my share of isekai slop (if you can even call this one an isekai — considering how poorly the setting was introduced/addressed). So naturally I had no grand expectations coming into this, and was fine with the idea of a cliché power fantasy to pass the time. Sadly, this was so appalling that I needed to get it off my chest. I might redo this review if the next season changes my mind, but my initial stance is: Save yourself. Don't waste your time like I did mine. Th…

THIS one is the masterpiece of all contemporary/modern world magic school animes. It has slow start, intriguing plot twists, interesting fights, and a finished, super-satisfying ending. The chracters are great, and also the whole backstory of MC will resonate with you very much if you are coming from a low-income family in Asia or an orphan.Unlike most similar animes, here our main character, Mo Fan, was not given anything in advance - he earned everything. The reason why 9 is for the continuations - season 2 is questionable at best, and everything that comes after is just like one big piece of dung. They should have ended the series with this one. If you like magic academy animes in modern setting, but want one where MC is neither a jerk or an idiot, look no further than this. You are in…

It's a waste. Chinese is way too cacofonix for me but that's a personal opinion and therefore is difficult to find a good sub to it. Overall voice acting is bad and bland all the way to the end. It is indeed true that there's no recall to why or when or how this guy was sent in another world and considering that the whole serie seems like a "patchwork" because also power ups that normally are hyped in anime, in this one are just bland training session where mostly you don't even realize MC has been training or learning anything. The story and the MC themselves could've been a good starting point for a waaaay better product. The feeling I had through the whole show is that whoever is behind voice acting, story writing and animation is simply missing skills we all consider standard starting…

So this isn't so much a review as it is an explanation for why I recommend the show even though I only gave it 6/10. To start off, its worth mentioning that this is an adaptation of the manhua Quanzhi Fashi (same name). I have read quite a lot of manga and manhwa, but I have always found manhua to be very dense and difficult to get into. While that is annoying in a manhua because it implies heavy reading and long paragraphs, its a good thing imo in a donghua (Chinese anime) or any anime, for that matter. It is true that the animation is not exactly great, or even that good, and its also true that some (not all) of the voice acting is a bit strange. This isn't exactly a unique concept, or a brilliant story, and the characters are not exactly shocking or intriguing. But, this is a perfect…

I was a proper fan of One Piece and Naruto but, i stopped reading and watching One Piece and Naruto due to unnecessary dragging of the story and waste of time. The writers were trying to squeeze far too much juice and making it sour. I starrted watching Overlord and i was happy with the pace of the Anime it was straight forward and no unnecessary side stories like One Piece where the group running from one end of the factory to the other end for 6 months. I am extremely pleased by this Anime " Quanzhi Fashi ". The pace is reasonably fast. The mange is good and most importantly the Novel is real fun. I am following it on everyday basis. In my opinion this Story is far more better than Many other stories i have read, watch.

I expected better than what I got, this anime was pretty disappointing. If I was to score it on entertainment alone, it would get a 6, there is enough to keep you engaged and watching, but this is not a good series. I wouldn't say it is terrible, but there are better series out there, even amongst the 'bad' series that are just more enjoyable to watch The issues that I have with this anime aren't 'deal-breakers' but they are significant enough that unless there is significant improvement in the following series, I don't think I'll watch this anime again. I intend to watch and finish all the series (unless it gets significantly worse) but right now I don't see any value or enjoyment to be gained in rewatching it. The story is pretty poor, you can pretty much write the entire story out in…

The story is interesting, at least it feels like he has a purpose, even if a very generic one. The main characters actions are generally taken with a clear goal in mind, although he has a few traits that need improvement. It would be interesting to see where he goes from here, and how he grows. The other characters are also interesting in their own rights, and although we don't know much about them, I didn't see insensible/illogical actions most of the time. The art is generally good, although most fight scenes are a little underwhelming (which imo is a big thing). The music/sounds in the show are off in my opinion, and they sort of try to set a certain mood but most of the time it either does not fit or it fails at setting the mood. Overall, its only a 12 episode season, and its ge…

Isekai story where a slacker student gets sent to an identical modern world but here magic and not science is king. So it's not like one where it is a relatively primitive society. Think our world but magic powers the planes, cars, trains, and so on. Of course here the MC is fascinated by magic and does his best to excel. I'm coming to this from the light novels (3000+ chapters). There are definite changes from the LN which is why I did not rate it higher. The anime unfortunately falls into some traps in terms of production. The animation style is dated (= inexpensive) and the voice acting is not going to win awards. And also quite a few tropes that are very 80's style anime (not in the LN). That said, what kept me in the series is the story is quite good. As of this writing, there a…

-- no story spoilers, only structure -- This anime is one of those I call "low effort, but incredibly entertaining." The screen writing, along with the animation, is very similar to a few other anime I have seen: Lacklustre. However... the story, along with the characters and writing, grab your attention - as long as the themes are interesting to you, that is. Story: 1/10 This is what I liked most about it. I do admit, the main themes, superpower and school have been one of my long term favourites for a while, and so I found the story quite enjoyable. HOWEVER... Where was the dive into the "other world" theme? It was mentioned approximately once in the first episode, but never mentioned again. It's almost as if the protagonist didn't come from "another world", as they hardly ever mentio…

As of this review (May 2021), the current score for this anime is 7.2 stars. This definitely does not deserve such a high rating, it's just inexplicable. Story 5/10 It's basically just your any other magic school anime with a bit of isekai. MC is from a common, weak family but has a lot of potential with his dual attributes. Then, in just a few episodes, he can grow to become super strong and basically win 30 other rich students. Why? that's just cos the MC is super lucky, and the story depicts every other character as shit. Art 4/10 There's nothing anything good about the art. Sure, compared to the usual Chinese cartoons, the art and animation certainly stand out. Still, the art is severely lacking in many ways, and the magic just feels normal. Sound 3/10 I just really dislike how the C…

The reason I've rated this anime quite highly isn't because it's the best anime in the world, but it's because it's very enjoyable! If you're a shounen anime lover like me, who likes to see the likeable underdog mc rise from the bottom to the top with hardwork to become op despite people underestimating him or putting him in disadventageous situations, then THIS is for you! So firstly I'll get into the pros: Although I love shounen anime, I usually dislike anime where the mc hides his powers, because once he's shown them I'm kinda like well what now. BUT with Quanzhi fashi the mc keeps on evolving and getting stronger and ends up gaining more abilities he ends up hiding. So pro 1 the show keeps you interested! In some anime the mc will hide his ability for flimsy reasons like not want…

The anime is good but the story is rushed. I was not satisfied by the anime the story was so much rushed that I thought that this has to have been adopted from the manga but when i read the the manga it was more rushed than the anime. Then I started searching why the manga was so much rushed then I discovered that the manga have been adopted from the light novel "Versatile mage" . Now before this I haven't read any Light novel and I didn't like reading them but I started reading the light novel and i can say that the the Light novel is much better than the anime or the manga. The light novel i would like to give light novel 8/10. I would recommend reading the light novel if you want to get the full story.

Ok, so I am the type of person who sees the good in the bad. We can all agree that this anime lucks so much, but gives so much. Thought the quality of the anime, events, story, characters might be low, we can all agree that this anime has so much potential. Is not great, but it is so good to watch. With patience, will and with an open mind you can see the potential of this anime and you will enjoy it. Everyone loves a hero. Everyone loves those who, from dirt they get up and shake the world. This is what this anime is giving you, a chance to thrive for the main character in his path of making the world a better place for his father and his step sister. All thought he has an incredible power and he is unique, he uses it for good, and he is humble. So yea, you may not agree with me, it…

This anime is originated from a chinese web novel with the same name which means "full time mages". The orignal novel is very very long with more than 5 millions words. The show here only demonstrated the content of the first 1 out of 15 which was the lowest rated part. the best rated part of the story was between 3-9 /15. The story was absolutely amazing if u read it .I think the greatest quality of it is the hierarchical power systems and realistic fighting scene with magic power and monsters portrayed by the author but also the amazing amazing storyline(could not find other words )while this anime could not demonstrate 1/10 of it . My point is , the plot of this show is still quite decent however the production was poor as it was mention by other reviews : sounds , character outfit , a…

The author : "Where did I put this scenario again ?" Usually, an anime rarely goes from 'barely watchable' to absolutely 'appalling' as the episodes piled up. It will either stay 'barely watchable', and maybe, sometimes a bit better and probably ... a bit worse, most of the times. Because usually, along the way, there is a progress ... of sort. Amazingly enough, Quanzhi Fashi is proving me wrong. It gets so much worse in the last season (4th, as for now) that I barely recognize the thing. The main cause ? Probably the total absence of a long-term plan, or a scenario that would have make the most of the increasingly stupid events going on and on as if the author himself had totally forgotten what he had planned to do in the first place. There are so much nonsenses, contradictions, and fl…

no spoiler. my first review. 1. The animation is bad but the story had a lot of potential to develop. 2. The jokes and comedic reactions are done very badly and feels heavily forced. 3. There are no action scenes, unless you call flinging colorful snowball while standing in one spot as action scenes. Though i wont lie there are some gud fight scenes, jk i lied. 4. Character design are nice, just that they are cliche but with toned down cliche personality. Watch only if you want a fast paced light anime(?) and don't mind discontinuing the series after the first season. This review was made while in the middle of watching(dropping) season two.

this anime is fairly mediocre as the story is basically like an isekai anime although the world doesn't change much its a parallel dimension that the main diffrence is that magic had replaced science though it doesn't sound like much the story of this anime is really good but the anime isn't there is minimal information about the world, as for the novel that its based on has way more information and details to explain what is going on in the world. for those who watched the anime and enjoyed it I really recommend you to read the novel or manga, the animation is poor and the fighting scenes are bad. although the anime cannot be compared to the novel I enjoyed watching the mc growing stronger as time passes. I highly recommend for people who watched the first season and enjoyed it to leav…

Despite all the trouble I’ve gone through to watch this anime and ending up getting something with terrible animation and art. Quanzhi Fashi was indeed a spectacular anime that I, a person who doesn’t really like these kinds of stuff, enjoy. Quanzhi Fashi is nothing more but a 3 seasoned anime about an OP Mc who has plot armor and all the things an OP Mc has. The anime doesn’t really show him as “incredibly OP” but more of “Will become OP fast.”, and I think that’s the reason why I like the show. I don’t really know how to explain this anime. It’s simply just a jackpot for those who are craving for OP MC. All he does is improve himself to become OP and get OP things as he gradually improves. Recommended to those who are seeking for OP MC anime. P.S. You must watch the show at the ri…

Chinese anime with a low production value. Despite this, it's passable and interesting. The pacing is rough, but adequate. The art is sketchy, sparse, and recycled, but adequate. The voice acting is uninspired but does the trick. Characters are adequate but not deep. The story channels a lot of chinese cultural tropes, so if you've mostly watched japanese anime, this'll have a refreshing change of pace and social dynamics. It's a fun ride if you don't expect a masterpiece! My gripe is that this is the kind of anime where the main character gets everything handed to him and is very arrogant. Other characters tend to be incompetent or whiny unless the MC is leading them. The genre also shifts every 6 episodes, so it might not be for everyone. Don't let me turn you off or onto this. It do…
