A completely engrossing journey with immaculate character growth that left me begging for a second season
This is a very engrossing anime, and it stands out because it shares a very similar plot to other villainess and romance series that I ended up dropping. However, where those other shows failed, this one succeeded completely.....it kept my attention a lot more, kept me on the edge of my seat, and left me constantly wanting more.
Everything about this series was absolutely immaculate. The scenery was a 10/10, the pacing never slowed down, and the character growth was a perfect 10/10. It is the ultimate example of how to execute this genre correctly.
I kept my attention focused throughout the entire run, and I really hope there is a spinoff or a second season in the future because I…

Absolute best in the villainess genre. It has hilarious moments, wholesome moments, heartwarming moments. Great pacing! it's not super fast yet shows so much story in just 12 episodes. Loveeee the plot!
No reverse harem, No siscon!
Aileen is a strong fmc who actively changes the story and assumes the role of main character, unlike other villainesses who limit themselves to only their villainess roles (Bertia, I'm looking at you)
The romance is great. love the mmc, he's so precious istg, love their dynamic. They're my babies!😭🎀
The antagonists were good as well. Plus it has a great ending, so if you're like me who doesn't read the light novels, you're still good.

Usaha si Aileen buat bikin Claude jatuh cinta walau hanya beberapa episode awal tapi akhirnya berhasil, diselipi berbagai tantangan lain terutama di bagian masalah akhir bener-bener buat ngeberesin ceritanya.

I'm the villianess so I'm taming the final boss is an enjoyable romantic comedy in the otome isekai villianess genre. The villianess, Aileen, remembers she is reincarnated into a game she played when she is dumped by the prince, and so she pursues the demon lord. If you are already familiar with the otome isekai subgenre, I found this to be an enjoyable spin. If you're not already familiar with the dating sim tropes, this is a harder sell. Aileen is a motivated and fun female lead to watch, and I found myself charmed by the quiet male lead, Claude. Claude is a more gothic, quiet type of male lead who has cool demons and powers.
The pacing in this show is incredibly fast for 12 episodes. The sheer amount of plot switching between 3 arcs within 12 episodes leads little time to get to know…

Honestly it disappointed me, you'd think taming the final boss would be the main storyline since it is the title, but no, we're done with it after 4 episodes to then develop two more, four-episode storylines, which causes the series to not have that much romance, the MC is just going around solving problems. There are a lot of characters introduced throughout the series but none of them have any depth to them. It would also be nice to get Aileens thoughts on living in this game but she only mentions it when talking about what's going to happen next in the plot.
Not bad, but also not what I expected.

I remembered reading the manga and enjoying it, even though I couldn't remember all the details. So when I saw the anime I decided to check it out.
The general premise is the popular trope--a modern person is reborn as the villaness in an otome. Aileen is an enjoyable main character to root for. She is tough, clever, good at socializing, and funny. Her love interest sometimes brings out her shy side, which is cute. The love interest is the demon lord, the half brother of her former fiance, who has abandoned her for the saint (the main character in the otome). He has cool magic powers and is very caring of his fellow demons. The other side characters are fun as well.
Other positives:
the music is pretty good
the art is not bad
the plot is fairly satisfying by the end
negatives:
some of t…

I'm not gonna get too into it, mostly because this show didn't earn the right for me to spend too long on a review for it, but I simply had to say it: this might be one of the worst paced shows I've ever seen. This show has a DIZZYING pace and there is just no time to get to like any of the characters or enjoy any of the story. Yes, it's tropey, but I genuinely enjoy these kinds of tropey shoujo, I was looking for simple good tropes. But for some reason this show tried to cram easily two seasons worth of story into one and by Episode 3 the "final boss" is already thoroughly tamed making the premise kind of stop involving him for the most part for the rest of the show.
Trust me, unless you need to consume mid, uninspired, way-too-frantic tropey shoujo to survive, don't watch this. It's too…

Once again, villain/villainess in an otome game, reborn in a game, reborn with knowledge of events yet to pass. *sigh*
That means, the story gets heavy character(s) development. Or should. Easy to understand why is that, yes? But usually these anime (and their source) are lacking, so I don't watch most of them.
Even though it wasn't my intention, I watched this one. Dunno why. But as you might've guessed, I was right in trying not to. This anime is sht. I'll go very fast, because there's no need for an in-depth review.
Visuals are meh. Some cute, some simplistic, mostly meh.
Audio meh. Some interesting tracks are used but the rest is meh. OP boring and bland. ED a bit more interesting (both visuals and soundtrack), but still meh. VAs had nothing to work with.
The pacing is fked up, too.…

There is a lot more plot happening here than I expected. More, actually, than in any other villainess/otome isekai anime I've seen. I've watched several and there's always something missing that keeps them at "enjoyable", at best, and unable to rise to "genuinely compelling", and it turns out that it's a depth of plot spanning that spans the world and the characters and uses all of it to its maximum. This show not only achieves that but squeezes out a little bit extra—a "twist" that deepens the show's enjoyability many times—

“I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss” is what happens when You have an interesting premise and rush everything like You create for people with ADHD.
This show is a perfect example of wasted potential and lazy writing I’ve seen in the last decade. Every part of writing is rushed so much that it flattens any and all drama the situations the MC gets herself into, might have. It’s especially visible within the first arc and its conflict.
Before we start I would like to explain something. I will be talking about “plot” and “story”. Many people use those terms interchangeably. I’m not one of those people, so to make sure everyone is on the same page…
I use the definitions for “plot” and “story” as Lisa Cron describes them:
“What happens in the story is the PLOT, the surface even…

Honestly...I don't recommend this really. This made me write my first review...
The whole anime was way too fast paced, I mean way too fast. It felt like it was two seasons in only 12 episodes.
I felt like this whole anime was rushed, the main romance happened way too quickly in like 2 episodes and got married in like 4 episodes. The whole story was such a mess, it was so hard to keep up with. It just felt so erm...forced really. It felt like they kept adding more random scenarios the more you watched, especially with the main villain. I felt like they really didn't need to add her.
This anime had a lot of potential, don't get me wrong. If they literally took the second half of the anime and made it into a season two and took their time with this, It would've been good. It just feels lik…

✒ Cause for Claude 🦅 He Never Did Make Her Cry °6.8° °good° 💯%🔍 some minor spoilers
One prince’s trash is another’s treasure.
ITVSITTFB starts great. Overall,it never gets awful, but it drops to mid-level quality w/o recovering. Romantiphiles will be game for this, but for everybody else, it'll be lame. It opens at an ending. The Crown Prince (CP Cedric) is declaring to the entire hall that they're engagement is over. We're in the Elmir Empire. Cedric Jean Elmir has just made her the pariah of that empire. Dang. He was the main romanceable option! Huh? Where did that thought come from?
This isn't unlike 7th Time Loop-7.9 (2024), which also springs from a bozo CP dumping our wonderful FL. It isn't unlike the isekai story: Why Raeliana Ended up at the Duke's Mansion-8.6 (2023), eithe…

Overall, this is a good anime, though I was hoping for something a bit different. The author swapped roles: the “good” characters are portrayed as outright crazy villains, while the actual villains come off as kind and sympathetic. This approach feels a bit too simplistic. Still, the characters are likable, especially the main heroine, who is interesting and evokes sympathy. That said, I would’ve liked to see her act more evil, since she’s supposed to be a villainess after all.
The animation is solid and the soundtrack is great, both visually and musically, everything is on point, which adds positively to the overall experience.
The Demon King inspires sympathy, he’s constantly being pushed around by pretty much everyone. It adds to the comedy, but at some point he just starts to seem pa…

So I like to keep the very few reviews that I do short and straightforward. The show is a good watch if you have some free time. To start with the main issue the show or the story of the show is very rushed. They crammed 3 arcs in 12 episodes, they probably had to skip a lot of stuff to do so. Despite that it was very enjoyable. It is definitely not unwatchable and is actually good. The characters were good but aside from the main characters the others had mad potential for depth and could be explored further, but they couldn’t bcz they crammed 3 arcs and rushed the story. “Mad potential” really describes the anime bcz if they took their time with the story and world building the anime would’ve been a 9 easily but they didn’t so it’s a 7. Watching the anime felt like they definitely will n…

Well, as a dude, it's rather obvious why i wouldn't enjoy a reverse harem... But it's still an allright watch to pass the time . Although it has quite some issues . The biggest one is easily the pacing . It all happens and gets solved rather too fast . That's most likely because of the budget constraint though i guess? They barely had an animation for these 12 episodes after all. The story is a slight deviation from the formula you'd get in this kind of anime, but it's not enough to make it stand out. That might also be because of the pacing ,since the other reincarnated is too 1 dimensional? Or did the FMC reincarnate in someone's playthrough? That's a pretty decent mystery to juggle around.
The thing that stuck to me the most was the ED song.
All in all, a decent watch, not insulting to…

The series covers a lot in a short amount of time. The 12 episodes are essentially broken up into three arcs, and if you wanted you could stop after the end of the arc. Personally, I wished I had stopped after the first four. The animation is pretty slandered for the genre, although it does have some pretty high-quality moments that look really good. Aileen is an alright MC, not to annoying. Claude is alright as a male lead as well, a bit stereotypical but that's to be excepted. Has some pretty funny moments though.

Akuyaku Reijou nano de Last Boss wo Kattemimashita has many similarities with Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei shiteshimatta... in the opening scene: both have to start with the role of the female villain, who in the otome game is always in opposition to the female protagonist of the otome game.
Usually with this scene, I would imagine a story with characters that will have many conflicts and contradictions, and the main character will be able to confront the female protagonist in the other otome game. At this point, Akuyaku Reijou nano de Last Boss wo Kattemimashita has more similarities than imagined, and maybe it is that the two anime have gone on two very different paths.
In the case of Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika Nai Akuyaku Reijo…

Girl gets re-incarnated in an otome game as the villainess. Didn't know this is becoming it's own genre but here we are. Should this be called Otomekai?
Anyway the hook here is the MC herself, Aileen. She's proactive and takes matters into her own hands, something rather uncommon among the sea of passive MCs these days that 100% depend on plot armour. Her motivation is to avoid "end game" as her characters gets a meme death once the final boss appears.
Her... rather odd solution was to marry said boss and keep him docile!
The show is a mixed bag honestly.
POSITIVES:-
- Aileen, the MC, is actually entertaining and interesting to watch.
- It has some really nice moments from time to time.
- Claude, the final boss, is adorable in his own way as well.
- Once the main game is over the st…

First of all I want to pay my respects to Serinita. Thank you for the great recommendation, and happy 2025! Wish you have an amazing new year and I hope you know you always worth it.
Akuyaku Reijou nanode Last Boss wo Kattemimashita is really a new type of animes that I never watched before(Well actually I did not watch so many animes, just a rookie hh). The otome theme is quite fresh for me. And to be honest the beginning of the anime really made feel like I was watching feel-good dramas(which use to be really popular in my area hh).
Well let me break into some specific aspects...
Sound 7/10
I really like the op of this show. The fast-paced part of this song sounds pretty good. Aileen's voice is really charming. And also, Hanazawa Kana's voice is unique as it always is. The ed...... I…
