UNDERRATED GEM!!
I Parry Everything is one of those anime that stays true to itself from start to finish, and I really appreciate that. It knows exactly what it wants to be and never tries to force itself into something else.
One thing I liked right away was the lack of forced romance. The female lead starts the series looking up to Noor, and that dynamic stays consistent throughout the season instead of turning into unnecessary bullshit romance. That said, I do think the female lead is pretty underutilized. Other than the wind blast scene, she barely does anything throughout the season, which was disappointing.
The MC's dense personality is another mixed point for me. I don't hate the dense MC trope, but it definitely gets annoying at times and feels dragged out. However, Noor is much…

World’s dumbest man - a himbo of the highest caliber - manages to save the day though hard work and the unrelenting power of his good-natured charm. The episodes are formulaic. He knows nothing. He parries everything. That’s it. That’s the joke. If this doesn’t sound like your cup of tea, no one is forcing you to watch the show. But if you’re looking for something lighthearted and goofy that will make you laugh out loud at points, give it a try.
A few more notes:
- Yes, really, that’s it. If you prefer shows with layered philosophical meaning, watch something else.
- I cannot emphasize enough how much of a dum-dum Noor is. The “everything” he parties includes any iota of common sense. If you need your protagonists to occasionally learn lessons, watch something else.
- This show is unexpec…

Ore wa Subete wo "Parry" suru: Gyaku Kanchigai no Sekai Saikyou wa Boukensha ni Naritai Is the anime equivalent of a nice but cheap ice cream cone. It’s sweet, you could eat a lot of them without noticing but it has very little nutritional value.
The show takes the loveable oaf strong guy doesn’t realise he’s strong trope to a farcical extreme and well, that’s the joke, that’s the premise, that’s the show.
It’s cheerful and it’s goofy (except a brief flash in the penultimate episode of the apparently inescapable fact in the heart of every LNist is a burning desire to engage in torture…), if you can put up with the constant recycling of a one tone joke (and you should be able to you’re an anime fan) you can find some unthinking joy in this happy little bit of fluff. Otherwise you'll get v…

Yes, 50% of people who don’t recommend this are absolutely right. There’s genuinely no reason to watch it unless you enjoy wasting your time. The plot sits at a weak 5/10, and that might even be generous. It feels recycled, predictable, and emotionally hollow. Conflicts arise without weight, resolutions lack payoff, and nothing meaningful sticks after an episode ends. There’s no tension, no depth just events happening for the sake of filling runtime.
The animation is also a flat 5/10. It’s not offensively bad, but it’s painfully average. Action scenes lack impact, character expressions feel stiff, and there’s no visual identity that makes the show stand out. It looks like dozens of other low-effort productions.
Now let’s talk about the male lead, Noor. His stupidity isn’t charming or com…

Quick review here;
This anime is one of those "comedy" shows where there is only one singular joke reapeted over and over again. This scheme can be done right, but here it gets really pesky, and then slowly tranforms into being boring. Don't let the "action", "adventure" and "fantasy" tags fool you, there is hardly any of those outside the well known clishés. Adventurers guild, op sword, op main character, waifu, slaves, giant moster becomes a pet, etc.
Pros: I can hardly list any, so I would say there aren't any explicit scenes, nor any irritating character.
Cons: plain story, empty world, and same joke over and over again. This "fantasy" anime is similar to boiled and unsalted chicken. There is nothing wrong with it, but it has no taste whatsoever.

I found this show hilarious and thought provoking.
Some might rush into assuming the protagonist is "dumb", but he simply has a very narrow measure of self-worth because he's shaped by events that occur in the first episode. The show works through unique challenges an individual with very limited parental and societal influence in their formative years might face as they reach maturity, and does so really well. This is of course exacerbated for comedic effect, but dismissing it and assuming the character is "dumb" would be a gross simplification.
It also contains a very good critique of social inertia and prejudice - which the main character doesn't experience because they didn't have the opportunity to learn those. This can be seen through his interactions with the king (direct communic…

This is as good as run-of-the-mill fantasy op mc anime becomes. Since it is what it is, I give it an 8 - it is nothing groundbreaking or epic and surely no Frieren. But what it does it does incredibly well.
It is wholesome and also a little clever. The misunderstandings on which the mc's personal journey is based are well enough built to be funny and even afford a little reveal in the end.
I also found it to be relatable, the way how the mc's skills are not applicable in the beginning and the following frustration feel very familiar. It is nice to see that there is a lot of training and grit behind the abilities and they don't completely fall into his lap.
Character building was done quite well, everyone feels unique and memorable. One could find clichés, but nothing that just feels cop…

I just finished this anime yesterday (Oct 2, 2025) and it falls under the fantasy–adventurer–comedy genre. The MC has that classic “never give up” mindset. He trains hard to become an adventurer but ends up getting a janitor-type job instead. I won’t go into spoilers, but honestly—why does every anime feel like the MC needs to lose a parent, or even die, just to become powerful? Same trope again here.
The world-building is typical fantasy: dragons, elves, magic, strange creatures—you name it. The MC is sometimes portrayed as silly for comedic effect, but honestly the humor didn’t land for me. The comedy felt flat, and even the action wasn’t really up to the mark compared to what you’d expect from a fantasy adventure.
That said, I liked how the anime handled the MC’s journey and his deter…

In the crowded arena of isekai anime, where overpowered protagonists summon truck-kun one minute and conquer kingdoms the next, I Parry Everything! ~What Do You Mean I'm the Strongest? I'm Not Even an Adventurer Yet?! (to use its mouthful of a full title) stands out by leaning hard into obliviousness as its secret weapon. Adapted from the light novel series by Nabeshiki Tetsuhiro and illustrated by Kawase Ayumu, this 2024 summer cour from studio C2C follows Noor, a young villager who dreams of becoming a legendary adventurer. Armed with nothing but a shield and an unshakeable belief in his own mediocrity, Noor sets off into a fantasy world teeming with monsters, guilds, and the usual litany of RPG tropes. What ensues is a comedy of errors where every near-death experience is "parried" away…

In this anime the MC is extremely OP. But the comedic part is about how unaware he is of everything. He truly believes he is weak and nothing special while everyone else is in awe of him. That's one of the big charms of this anime. In most anime the MC has insane physical and magic skills but it's a little different in this one. All he can do is the parry skill and basic magic. But he's so physically strong and has such willpower he makes those basic skills super strong. One of the main messages is to just keep on grinding and training and pushing yourself everyday. It'll be worth it in the end. Even though it seems hopeless in the moment. Give this anime a watch.

Honestly a great watch to turn your brain off and just enjoy. Story is pretty straight forward but the twists are dumb fun and entertaining to watch how the writer matches the characters absurdity.
Animation and art style is solid on most parts and real effort has been put in.
Voice acting is on point, sounds and music are well done.

Its a great OP protaganist anime. Its pretty repetative and has the "show off your skills without ever noticing how powerful you are and be praised for hours" kind of protoganist and that is pretty much all this anime offers. It has decent animation and mediocre writing. The protoganist, other characters and writing are all shallow as it is the "dont think too much and enjoy" kind of anime. Still, its pretty enjoyable and sits on a high position on this kind. It lacks any ecchi, harem, romance. and comedy elements. And it has some minor drama. The action/figts are decent. Overall its watchable if you dont have any masterpieces/+8-graded anime left

A story about misunderstandings, a lot of them, and a MC that is quite on the extreme side of being dumb, that wants to become an adventurer at any costs he sees fit, and oh boy does he has a really twisted view of the world (the really dumb kind).
I can already tell, especially from the mixed reception, that this anime is not for everyone. And that's because imo there's one important requirement to enjoy it: do not take it seriously. Even if it has elements of a serious story, do not fall for them! This is more of a joke of a story more than anything, but not in the sense that it is bad, more in the sense that it takes the dumb MC type and goes with it to the extreme, and imo, it worked pretty damn well. Just look at the MC like he is a very dumb homeschooled kid that never left his home…

Well, at least the interesting premise made it through the first few episodes before spiraling into utter absurdity. In the first episode we see the MC deflect the attack a much larger minotaur opponent by redirecting his horns by a bit. A few episodes later with no change in ability he's blocking energy beams that we're told have eradicated entire continents. The whole schtick where the MC doesn't understand his strength is amusing enough, but the fight scenes just become immediately stupid and boring.
Anime that don't take their premises and immediately ramp up to 100 are few and far between, and unfortunately this one fails in the same way countless others have.

There's something about this that doesn't work for me, I mean, it's fine... it's fine, it's fine, it's... fine, but my god is it stupid and annoyingly so
MC wants to become an adventurer, to do so he needs a skill, so he tries out with every class to see if he can develop a skill and every time leaves having not manifested a skill.
So he goes home to train, before returning years later to sign on at the lowest rank available meaning all he can do is menial work - clearing trash and construction jobs... but that's okay because he's an adventurer now.
Except of cause it turns out MC is super OP and is stronger than anyone else.
The issue is just how dense the MC is, sure he's raised in a backwater place on his own, sure he was told he couldn't get anywhere without a skill... but to be so de…

The effort employed to keep this one gag going ruins the show for me. I don't mind the character starting out oblivious, but the ability to chew food and breath at the same time should identify a level of brain activity that would prevent the MC remaining that dumb to the very end. It is the very same thing that ruins "Suppose a Kid from the Last Dungeon Boonies Moved to a Starter Town" These MCs simply cannot be so impervious to new data!
Rather than trashing it outright, I kinda like the story and supporting characters. I think the dragon is fantastic, so I give it 5/10

This one is pretty rare type of anime
Like we always see super powerful MC
Story line's also not bad at all
It shit anime but pretty good shit for passing time.
MC struggled and became powerful but he has still not known his own power
Overall people will give it a 6 or 7 but I'm a good judge as I don't always see god level anime but I love to see trash anime and only trash anime watchers can judge a trash anime but this one is a good trash
It's animation quality is mid but it not
That bad
Recommend for timepass and inspiration

Very mid anime. Animation is fine, pacing is fine enough, but its the typical problem of: MC is OP and everyone is so amazed, except the MC doesn't realize how OP he is... even after he defeats a whole army alone. It's pretty annoying in that regard.
Overall, I wouldn't say it's good or bad. I'd give it the watchable-trash title. Like junk food - Not good for you, or even that good, but you eat it anyway cause its something to eat.
Again, the main problem is the MC is so strong, but thinks everyone else is so much better. Also, he's annoyingly modest. He's offered so many rewards and just goes "Naaah... I like being a poor peasant working the lowest jobs imaginable just to make ends meet. I dont need money or land!!"
Oh, and the voice acting is annoying, at least for DUB. MC talks mo…

It started out interesting, but the stupidity of the protagonist is too much to really suspend your disbelief at. The premise is this guy can only use basic level skills, but he uses them at legendary capacity. The whole time he remains oblivious of how powerful he is though. At the start it was dumb, but maybe believable as a country bumpkin he might not be too familiar with different magical beasts, but by the time he sees the king of the opposing army all clad in gold and wearing a crown, and he think it's just a "defenseless old man". It's gone way too far.
Animation wise, it's passable most of the time, but they for sure were trying to save money where they could. Lots of shots where a character is talking, but you can't see their mouth. The characters all basically exist to be impre…
