Introduction

As Yumeko Jabami's fame grows and the reputation of the student council dwindles, Kirari Momobami decides to revolutionize the group. To this end, she announces an election for its next president. The rules are simple: each student in the school receives one chip. Whoever has the most chips by the end of thirty days becomes both the new president and the head of the Momobami clan. Upon receiving news of this development, the Momobami branch families spring into action. Eleven transfer students arrive at Hyakkao Private Academy, each aiming to lead both the school and the Momobami clan. Equipped with unique talents, they will compete to get as many chips as possible—but their chips are not the only things on the line. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

More gambling! What else did I expect? 😂 It's basically the same old Kakegurui concept, just with different games, crazier opponents, and even more ridiculous situations. But hey, I'm not complaining because somehow it still manages to be entertaining. What I really enjoyed were the mind blowing puzzles and strategies behind each game. Sometimes I thought I already figured out how someone was going to win, then suddenly there's another trick or some hidden rule that completely changes everything. Like bro, how the hell do you even come up with these strategies? 😂 The whole student council election also made things more interesting because now there's a bigger reason behind all the gambling. It's not just about winning money anymore, but also gaining influence and power. And with the Mo…

Gambling used to be something I hated, but after this anime, and especially this season, I see it in a completely different light. Yumiko is truly crazy with her bets, and so is Tsubame. This part recaptured the excitement of the first season and even doubled it. Unfortunately, it has an open ending, and despite watching it from 2023 until the end of 2026, we still haven't heard any news about a third season. This anime is very underrated in terms of popularity, despite its many sexual innuendos. It boasts excellent character development, legendary map-to-map gameplay, and is more intelligent than other games. It was a good season, and I'll be waiting for the third one in the near future. My rating: 8/10. A very good season.

The moment I finished Season 1 I knew I was not done with Kakegurui. I jumped into Season 2 with ridiculously high expectations and somehow it still managed to surprise me. Instead of repeating the same formula it expands the world in a way that makes every gamble feel more meaningful. The student council election completely changes the atmosphere. Winning is no longer just about pride or surviving another game. Every decision now carries influence power and consequences. The introduction of the Momobami family was exactly what this series needed. Every member arrives with a completely different personality mindset and way of gambling which kept every episode feeling fresh. My favorite addition was the calm blue eyed rival who never lets emotions get in the way. Every encounter with her f…

Kakegurui××: When gambling becomes a clan war! Overall, I find that this second season stays true to the first. It's still a pleasure to follow the sadistic students, even if it retains some of the same flaws as the first season, such as clichés, stereotypes, and fan service. However, I really enjoy the appearances of new characters like Rei Batsubami, among others. On the other hand, Ryōta Suzui is less prominent. The animation and character design are still top-notch, as is the soundtrack—the opening, ending, and OST. In short, this season stays on the same wavelength as the first, which is still just as enjoyable to watch!

Well, we've gotten the last season finished, and since it is the new year, it's fitting to get into the second season of Kakegurui. I've been reading that this is the least of the last season. Although, I would have to say that this is a tad better than the last season has given me, yet it still has its set of problems of its own. In this season, Yumeko Jabami is getting more fame after her gamble with Kirari Momobami at the end of the last season, while the student council is losing its reputation because of the events that has happened. So Kirari decides to up the ante by revolutionizing the group and introduce some new members. It turns out that they are also members of the Momobami family. You have Terano Totobami, voided by Megumi Han, and her assistant, Yumi Totobami, voiced by Harun…

IMO this season just... wasn't interesting. The games felt inferior and like half of them involved the threat of physical harm/death which they are too chickenshit to ever pull the trigger on so I wasn't really anticipating who'd win because, like, who cares? That's really a big problem with the whole concept of this season anyway. This season, it's based around the student council president election and, like, I guess it's been established that that's very important, but it's up against one of the most forgettable groups of antagonists I've ever seen. Some of the antagonists don't even get their own gamble, it's a struggle to remember their names, they just aren't very interesting. The only one I really liked was the last villain but even then, I wanted her to WIN because who else wou…

Kakegurui is a wild ride and the second season confidently delivers on that. This is really just more of the same, so if you liked the first season, this will give you more of what you enjoyed. Overly dramatic gambling series like this aren't usually my cup of tea, but I definitely enjoyed this and I think a lot of people will too. Firstly, let's just reiterate what makes Kakegurui fun - the visuals are basically the same, meaning they're super expressive, dynamic and over the top, with the overly detailed eyes and mouths being a very unique and distinctive aspect. The sounds and music are very dramatic and serve to accentuate the tension of all the scenarios. The voice acting is superb and really captures the outlandish minds of these fascinating characters. There's some mildly ecchi mom…

What a waste of time. I dropped it because of how garbage it was but I decided to finish it because I was trying to finish animes that I paused/judged too harshly. —It took me a good 4 and a half years to complete this awful series, and that ending on season 2 was just straight-up garbage. What a waste of time a 12-year-old could have thought of that conclusion. Most episodes are rehashes of the first and lack a lot of substance. I would rather hear the sound of a bullet go through my head than hear some characters talk. Lastly, I know most characters need a psych test, but if there's anyone that really needs one it's Yumeko and Ikishima. P.S SOME EPISODES PUT ME TO SLEEP SO I WOULD SWITCH IT TO DUB, BUT THAT ONLY SPED UP THE PROCESS 4.5/10 :P

This season is basically just more cheating and insanely unrealistic moves done at the last second of the game. If you got tired of this in season 1, you might as well not watch this season. Story - 3 Compared to season 1, this season just takes all the insane, unrealistic-ness to a whole new level. Our main character is again, pulling the most random and smart, but unbelievable moves out at the very last second to win it all. And the games are full of cheating, no surprise. However what really bugs me is that this time the gambling games themselves are made unrealistic. I could believe in season 1 that they had a deck of cards or dice to play with, but in this season one girl just whips out a whole BUILDING that has the sole purpose of being full of puzzles for a race between two gambler…

Second verse same as the first. Season 2 of Kakegurui doesn't do a whole lot different from the first. It's more convoluted games set up in a way to look dangerous while actually being rigged from the start, finding way to out cheat the cheaters, and endless sweat drenched sakuga of Jabami ahegao. If you were a fan of that and just wanted it to keep going then you'll love it, and if you're the type of person who loves to complain when something is the same as a thing you've already seen then I've got good news, you'll have plenty to complain about. Complainers love having more things to complain about. Personally I enjoyed the second season. I watched the two back to back and with each new crazy scheme I was suckered in to being on the edge of my seat despite the fact that in the back of…

After watching Kakegurui's first season and really liking it, I had high expectations that I would enjoy the second season a lot as well. However, the story and most of its characters disappointed me. I definitely enjoyed a few episodes from this season, but as I got further into watching I felt myself finding this season less entertaining than the original. In the first season, the gambling matches were incredibly intense and interesting- but the characters were also quite mysterious as well. Kakegurui xx manages to make the gambling matches suspenseful too, but the suspense really lacks when it comes to the characters. At first, when the Momobami Clan was introduced, I actually felt like they posed a real threat to Hyakkaou Private Academy and its students.. but that soon dissipated a…

"Money won is twice as sweet as money earned" I feel as if there needs to be more Gambling related anime that perform better than Kakegurui ever did. That being said, I don't think that this anime was very poorly executed, I just think that it missed base on a lot of specific areas. Story: The story could have been more gripping and interesting, but in the long run I feel like it really amounted to nothing and that the ending didn't really mean much of anything, but in this pseudo-slice of life, I guess there's not much I could be expecting. Art: Was for the most part pretty well done. I think they used a lot of very interesting and captivating graphics and animations that draw you in, but at the same time they had a lot of very uncomfortable facial expressions that just absolutely ru…

I really wanna emphasize that a huge part of what I love about this show is how crazy it is, how dark it can be, but it doesn't rely on fan service like I see most anime rely on it. You've got your intro which is *definitely* sexual, you've got the big titties. But I feel like that intro tricks you into thinking this show it going to be focused on the sex. Not only do they have a variety of women in the show, they all have very unique personalities making this a very compelling show for people who get tired of the same Shonen dribble and lack of female representation. Especially for a show that's not about romance or cute slice of life stuff. They don't talk about it, I feel like it's something you could easily forget or not even notice but for me it's such a fresh breath of air especiall…

Kakeguruixx is the worst gambling content that I've watched or read ever including "The Gambler" by Dostoevsky. It portraits gamblers absolutely wrong. It's too boring to watch. Animations aren't the worst but they are pretty bad actually especially in making gamblers look disgusting. I didn't like the rules and themes. It was filled with various logical errors and bullshits that don't even look smart for example in "greater good game" the number separation thing was a complete disaster I won't even explain it. It is just stupid. They do over-explain everything so often and when they do it occurs very unnaturally. Gambling scenes are terrible and I hate school politics and it has so much screen time. Overall Kakeguruixx is fucking horrible.

Kakegurui season 2 was definitely ambitious in trying to please the fans and hopefully win a lot of haters back, it delivered a more structured story as a student council election - with a twist - is the main plot. I think that this story was not the greatest and I didn't really like some of the directions it made, first was that the cast doubled within the first episode which was not great, it's hard to create any sympathy for these new characters so you end up hating them and rooting for the OG cast to beat them every chance they get... which isn't the worst thing about it in hindsight. I think that some of the new characters definitely felt lacking and didn't get the shine they needed. We ended up knowing a little more about some characters and then nothing about others who 'seemed' to…

I really loved the story for this reason - I think it brought a really interesting concept in and was a good way to keep the series going. The first couple episodes were immaculate however despite enjoying it, I just felt it didn't live up to the first season. The "gambles" in this season mostly felt more like games rather than actual gambles, the escape room could have been great but I just wasn't feeling it. Plus Yumemi and Sayaka take up half the season and they're just kind of shit characters really... Overall, I can't fault the story, art or music but the choice of characters to focus on rather than the new interesting characters along with the shift from gambling to gaming meant I enjoyed it less than the first.

Kakegurui×× could not outshine its prequel, when you aim too high but don't put much effort into your goals, you end up getting a shitty result. This is a perfect example of a tournament arc gone wrong. The beginning of this season started great, and the games were truly entertaining, the tricks, cheats, and gambles were even more elaborate. Kakegurui always managed to deliver a thrilling and entertaining ride, and this time they pulled it off even better. That combined with the persistent unique and appealing art style where this animes only trump cards. But unfortunately, that was not enough, poorly written and awfully developed characters combined with a disappointing but obvious ending made the ride a little "sadge" in the end. Unless you are a 4th grader, I bet you could figure out h…

Kakegurui Season Two was less exciting than the prior season, but it never failed to excite me as the viewer. Personally, I liked the new plot line they had introduced in this season: Gambling to vote for a new president. The system to count in your votes for the new president had me intrigued. I was a little hazy on how the rules worked, but over the course of twelve episodes, the show helped me truly understand how everything works for the election. Most of transfer students from the Momobami clan who came to run in the election were quite two-dimensional. There was only one character who was given a backstory and had a clear defined goal for winning the election. This character had her family name stripped and had to adopt a new one. She had lived her entire life as a "lesser being" an…

I really do not know how to feel about this season. I do enjoy this season and I believe that the good outweighs the bad within this season. However, the bad parts seem to stick out like a sore thumb. Kakegurui xx brings a good but sometimes rushed narrative, great animation, art, and interesting characters that make this season what it is. The narrative had some really good things going for it. The episode involving the tower was my favourite, the gambling was no longer a board game, it had expanded outwards. This episode made me understand how significant the academy is. After all, a complex structure being created for a simple gamble was truly a great experience. However, the finale ended with a very rushed introduction of Rei and her backstory. She is very clear in some way related…

Hello there fellow anime fans..It's been a while so let me begin with a warning.. This review contains profound language cause i'm old and bitter..Don't whatever you do keep on reading if you are a snowflake. With that outta the way let's talk about Netflix's Kakegurui which coming from Netflix i assumed would be about underage girls twerking but SURPRISE SURPRISE..Ιt isn't. But if you want you some boobs and ass and crazy crazy stuff then this might be the one for you.. What is Kakegurui about then? It is about high school and gambling.. Now i'm not sure how this all works cause when i was in high school(granted it was ages ago)we were just going on about our day, not showing up at classes and smoking weed. But i guess kids these days just don't want to burn through their brain cells t…
