Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 2

Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 2

Introduction

A year after they met, Kazuya Kinoshita and Chizuru Mizuhara still regularly see each other through the rental girlfriend app. However, Chizuru confesses that she is ready to quit her job to pursue her true passion—acting. Despite wishing to maintain the relationship they have, Kazuya decides to support her dream. When Kazuya goes to watch Chizuru's anticipated first play, he is amazed by her talent and ability to captivate the audience. At the same time, he is saddened at the thought that she will undoubtedly be scouted by the famous director in attendance. However, after the show, Chizuru explains that the director recruited another actress, lamenting her lack of talent. Frustrated on her behalf, Kazuya resolves to rent her every week to help her financially. But as Kazuya's ex-girlfriend Mami Nanami lingers around for unknown reasons, hesitance muddles his true feelings, and fulfilling his promise to Chizuru becomes uncertain. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

(Spoilers up to early Season 2, I put in a lot of context because I want to talk about everything to convey my review well. Since I already have so much to say, I chose to do it now.) I love Rent-a-Girlfriend. None of the girls exist just to fill out a harem — every character is thematically justified and purposeful. Mami is Kazuya’s ex, someone who never truly loved him. She promised herself she’d never fall in love again and simply settled for the first person who came along — Kazuya. She's introduced as the villain (seeing her type hate messages on an anonymous twitter account was fun). At the end of the first season, you see her in a businessman's car. We also got a glimpse of her younger brother and I have to say her character is always interesting. That's clearly a broken characte…

I thought the premisse of the anime was good, but was the Call of Midnight, it just develops itself too slow for me, the progression of the Main character and the Chizuru happens, but it is too slow for me. He litterally rented her for one and a half year and only in the end she acts like he is more than a client, now their relationship was upgraded to the big and respectable NEIGHBORS STATUS. Also, Chizuru is a very respectable girl that has a great future as actress, she works, and has two courses, she has integrity and only thinks about to follow her dreams to realize her grandpa desires and has no space for any men in her heart while doing it. She is what any modern woman ideal model... and I just can't fall in love with her, she is respectable, but not lovable, she just trashes the pr…

Nothing is perfect. This is a shounen, conedy sometimes ,romance and harem.I personally only focus on what I can learn . I learnt about this season and anime that you gotta man the f up. What I’m talking about is that if we look Kazuya, he isn’t perfect , nothing is, and sometimes you can find love in unique person and I think that it comes from the soul. Look at him , his dream is to fulfill the dream of her loved , Chizuru, is this the most authentic love ? The wisdom in “ any dream comes true but you need to work for it it’s real man..” In every philosophy, book, manga, film or whatever you can find imperfection, I suggest you to find an anime that can perfectly change your vision on things like this did for me on what’s true love and also that no matter whats your problems, someone idk wh…

Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 2 – How Could Things Get Worse? After barely surviving Season 1, my brother and I figured we’d watch Season 2. We thought, “Surely, it can’t get worse than this.”
It did. This season is somehow more infuriating than the first. The characters regress even further, the relationships become more toxic, and the plot? Nonexistent. If Season 1 was emotional torture, Season 2 is emotional Stockholm syndrome. Kazuya – Rock Bottom Has a Basement
Kazuya somehow becomes even worse. He spends most of his time fantasizing about girls and quite literally pleasuring himself off-screen. There are always tissues on the floor in his room, and it’s played off as a “quirky” detail. It’s not. It’s gross.
I have nothing left to say except that I despise this man with all my heart. He’…

the same as its first season. An anime that has nothing to offer but a pathetic protagonist, who is a complete simp, a coward, and a stalker. In short, the personification of what could be defined as an insult to masculinity, and if anyone identifies with that protagonist, all I can do is feel sorry for him. Not to mention that the author of his manga is a mentally disturbed person who is obsessed with one of the characters in his work, to the point of making quite Creepy posts on social networks. Beyond the fact that it's an anime in which only the female characters possess quality animation, especially and appropriately in their body proportions and facial expressions, for which the credit goes to the animators. Its story and narrative are worthy, not of a first-semester literature stude…

This anime is a guilty pleasure, the TV equivalent of junk food. It has a target audience and it is not supposed to have its story taken too seriously (for what it's worth, the non-comical elements of the story for the most part suck). But the funny bits, if you can relate to it, had me laughing like a relaxed retard; which is all I want, really, at the end of a long day just before I go to sleep. Chizuru's story-arc is quite honestly boring and seeing Kazuya simp so emotionally hard for her is very cringe. Thankfully, Mami's misterious plot and Ruka's messy and funny interminglings in Kazuya's and Chizuru's relationship makes it all interesting and fun enough to bear the forced cringy drama. Which is OK, if one is not too stupid to watch it for the drama. 8/10 mostly because it made me la…

They gave more development to Chizuru. A few days ago, I thought this was a bad thing because the show has four interesting characters. However, since she is also the main character, I can't really complain. That being said, this "development" felt weak to me because almost all these episodes were filler. Still, I have to admit that I enjoyed most of them, though they could have been handled better. On the bright side, there were plenty of great moments, and the final episode gave us what we truly needed—the story of Chizuru. As I said, I would have preferred more episodes focused on the other characters, but overall, it was fine for me. The opening could have been better, but the ending theme is beautiful.

This is an anime that I least expected to have a continuation, yet for some reason, it did. The main character overthinks way too much and often talks to himself when he meets the female lead. There are many awkward moments, making the romance feel slow, especially regarding their relationship, which remains unclear. Perhaps because the initial theme was about a rental girlfriend, the romance feels sluggish. I'm curious about the progression of their romance, but the story moves so slowly that I'm speechless. This is just my personal opinion; I watched it only to complete my list of watched anime. This is the first time I've expressed my frustrations here and given a poor rating.

The second season is better than the first. Kazuya's character growth in the second season was remarkable. He becomes a more likable romantic comedy lead. Kazuya starts to support Chizuru in meaningful ways, acknowledging her talent and hard work towards her dreams. He honors her as a person and wants to assist her in achieving her objectives without any hidden agendas. Seeing a person like him in their relationship was heartwarming. I understand why Chizuru was distant towards Kazuya in the first season. Still, her behavior towards him changed in the second season. Their feelings for each other and their relationship transform and progress. However, overcoming their first impressions and how they treated each other in the past is still a slow process. Initially, Chizuru saw Kazuya as spi…

Rent a Girlfriend is an enjoyable series, though it's important to note that watching the previous season is essential to fully grasp the story's context. The second season primarily centers around the main character, Kazuya, as he gradually works towards realizing his lifelong dream of being in a relationship with Ichinose. It's worth mentioning that, in all honesty, the first season surpasses the second season in terms of quality and engagement. One of the standout features of Rent a Girlfriend is its exceptional comedy, particularly when it comes to exploring the intricacies of relationships. It has the ability to make you laugh while delving into the complexities of human connections. Review Breakdown: Story: 8/10 - The storyline is engaging, but it does require prior knowledge fro…

I watched the second season even though I wasn't the biggest fan of the first. And I gotta say....this was incredibly mid. BUT...the Sumi episodes were incredibly cute. Although Ruka was putting in some effort this season, I wish she would have put in more effort--especially the kind of effort that Sumi went for in the second to last episode. I also wish Mami were causing more drama or something...even when Mami does something...it doesn't really feel like she's doing anything. And we all know how everyone feels about the Chizuru thing, so...it is what it is. I gave it a 5/10 because of Sumi hard carrying in two episodes, otherwise I probably would have given it something lower.

The start is a bit boring but as you get usual to Kazuya, the new characters slowly start coming into the story, it makes it a great experience. We feel anticipated about what will happen next as the show is comedic and romantic in various ways. I enjoyed the rollercoaster love life of Kazuya. A must watch Romantic-Comedy Anime. The art styles is almost perfect for an anime like this, the story is evenly distributed throughout the episodes and doesn't have fillers. People hate this series by saying Kazuya as the dumbest Main Character, well he is an introvert and a real life example too.

I like this show because i get no beaches. I also self insert as the main character because he's just like me. I was entertained enough to watch each season in a day me couldn't stop watching 8/10. Kazuya do be annoying at times, but its funny so it gets a pass I don't really care to much because its just a fictional show at the end of the day. I also feel so bad for Ruka rant over guys wait I also like sumi. Watch this show if you get no beaches, and or wanna self insert as do I, goodbye gaymers.

--- ENG --- From the first season I was bothered by the behavior of the protagonist "Kazuya". The series begins with the end of the relationship between him and Mami-chan, who is fed up with his attitude but who wouldn't be? Kazuya is shown from the beginning as someone needy and desperate, who couldn't stand being single for more than 5 minutes from the first episode, renting a rental girlfriend. But, that's just the beginning of the anime and you can't judge the protagonist for it, for this reason I continued to watch it. My hope was that there would be personal growth regarding Kazuya's character, but after the first and second seasons, it's disappointing and boring to see that he does NOT change... having fantasies with all the girls in the series and changing by not rejecting any and…

Having watched season 1 of Rent-A-Girlfriend which wasn't so bad, it had some funny moments, season 2 is a complete disappointment. As someone who loves the Shoujo genre of comedy romance, it's rare for me to see a main character such as Kazuya with absolutely zero personal growth throughout the whole show. He is so obnoxious and wishy-washy that makes this anime insufferable. While having a huge crush on his rental girlfriend Chizuru, Kazuya is also dating his "real girlfriend" Ruka whom he doesn't like at all. And Ruka is completely fine with it, and actively chasing this loser of a main character. It just does not make any sense, and the way Kazuya treats Ruka is vile, just don't lead two women on. Again, main character is insufferable. It just feels like author is deep in his Harlem…

Kanojo, Okarishimasu S2 is good ole wholesome fun cotton. It's much of the same from S1. It's just an average rom com, that's all you need to know. If you liked season 1, you'll like season 2. It's a bit odd how so many reviews are "not recommended" when these people, I assume, watched season 1, so they must know what they are expecting for S2, yet there is so much salt in the salt mines for this series. I enjoyed S2 even more so than S1. The relationship of Chizuru and Kazuya never feels like they aren't so far from being a couple, with charming pokes and prods at romance blossoming from this once shallow relationship. Animation 7/10 - Its nothing special, it's not bad either, kind of what you'd expect of a romance series. Character design is generic. Sound 6/10 - OP/ED are just okay. VA…

The right mindset is required when watching this show. The plot of KanoKari is barely important to enjoy what's going on, because this isn't a romance, it's a comedy. It's impossible for me to even comprehend just how dense literally every character is, nothing anybody does makes any sense. Now, I understand that this shambles of a show isn't ACTUALLY a comedy, but if I tried to watch this with the mindset of it being a real romance, I would have just dropped it and likely led a better life. You can see every character make the most nonsense decision at literally every corner, and see Kazuya behave like a horny brainlet at a constant rate. Dude literally decided who he loved in season 1 by debating who he was actually thinking of while smacking his beef. If you look at it with the right p…

Should you take the time to watch Kanokari, is this anime as bad as some people describe it to be ? Well I'll try to review it in an objective way, and let me get this straight : as you might expect from reading the title, yes this anime does have cringe scenes, therefore, don't bother with it if that's unbearable for you, because almost every episode has its cringe moments. Now that we've dealt with this issue, let's try to analyze it further and understand what this anime is about, what are its qualities and its flaws. First off, let's address the elephant in the room : this story revolves around a stupid plot, one where the MC actually rents a girlfriend through a dedicated app and things go out of hands, "forcing" him to lie to his whole family & friends for an undefined period of…

The second season of Kanokari does what one might expect of a sequel. For better or for worse, the characters begin as they were in the first season, so viewers continuing from season 1 get all the cringiness they've come to love or hate. Kanokari gets a lot of disdain for what it is, but it excels in much of what it sets out to polarizingly do. Between the layers of fools' comedy and the (maybe agonizingly) slowly growing threads of romance is a show about a socially awkward man's bungled trainwreck of an attempt to define his love life. Love him or hate him, the season 1 and manga antics of the much maligned Kazuya' (the protagonist) made him the definitive simp exemplar of characters, so it probably would have been very jarring if he had randomly turned over a new leaf for season 2. E…

If you enjoyed the first season of Kanojo, Okarishimasu you'll enjoy this too. It's just more of the same garbage made to pass the time, it does not have a lot of meaning but is entertaining. This season there was a lot more character development than in season 1 so it's advised actually to look at the anime instead of grinding LOL on your main monitor. This season the animation has also seemed to improve, I noticed that the first season was a bit chunky looking, with thick lineart but this season gives more of a smooth-lined feeling. Overall I give it an 8/10, garbage but entertaining. 100% worth a watch If you've watched season 1.
