So I have to admit right away that this movie wasn't like the first one in most aspects. I honestly liked it much more than the first one. This could also be because it's further along in the plot and everything is more intense, but I think many things have been added to it. Despite this, I think the movie was very entertaining, even looking back at season 5, and I believe you can really get into it and watch with great interest.
So I won't deny that it's easiest for me to compare this movie to the previous one and say which things are better written (and there are many of it).
First, I have to admit that the introduction of the villains was much better than in the first movie. Besides the introduction, I think h…

I recommend watching it between S5 and S6 of the anime. While the story probably takes place between S4 and S5 (Hawks is well-known), it unintentionally spoils the impact of a an event that occurs towards the end of S5, by doing something similar in the movie.
Don't watch it expecting great plot; watch it if you want to enjoy some more hype with class 1A; especially if you enjoy seeing them synergizing their abilities together. This may have been the first time they've done it as a whole class against a common foe.
Great opening, then slow build-up, but starts the action early in the movie (similar to pacing of the Overhaul arc). Visuals during the action are great, and great re-use of the anime soundtracks ... except until the winning attack. They chose an emotional score rather than hy…

Well, the fight scenes and the score were great, but my problems with this film stem from 2 points;
1) The main villain is literally temu AFO/Shigaraki without the character development. And besides the fact that his power works exactly the same as theirs, we get absolutely nothing from him story wise, so theres no weight in the "new world" he strives to create at all. He's even worse than Overhaul on that front. In the first movie we get introduced to new, unique characters whose stories actually have an impact on the world building overall. We simply don't get that here
2) Not to spoil anything, but for the ending the writers pulled a move out their ass that was never explained, and never touched again after that incident. At this point in time i just finished season 7 so unless it ge…

Honestly loved this movie. Everything that felt lacking in the first one, this one did differently. It didn't just feel like a filler arc from the anime, it truly felt like it's own stand-alone epic, but was made so much richer by knowing the character's histories! The animation sequences were incredible, so much better than the first film.
The only real drawbacks I found about it were
1) the numerous times heroes told bystanders to run and they didn't, after the first couple times it felt less like a natural panic response by the characters, and more like a crutch for extending the fight scenes
2) sometimes the animation got sooo crazy it became a little challenging to see what was happening
Other than that though, highly recommend - especially if you're someone who likes to dive into…

**Review – My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising (9/10)**
✨ *a breathtaking blend of emotion, heroism, and pure plus ultra energy!* ✨
The Plushie Crew picked *Heroes Rising* for The Weekend, and wow—this movie hit every single note we wanted it to 🎬🔥. After finishing Season 4, this felt like the *perfect* next step: cinematic, heartfelt, and absolutely bursting with that My Hero magic.
🎨 **Animation?** Next-level. Every punch, every flash of power—pure visual poetry.
🎵 **Music?** Spine-tingling. The orchestral swells hit right when your heart does.
💥 **Action?** Explosive, fast-paced, and downright breathtaking.
💫 **Emotion?** Heavy, inspiring, and unforgettable. Here’s what everyone thought:
* **Winny 🐻** was locked in from the start—“that final fight? literal chills.”
* **Willow 🐉**…

5.5/10 ~ Its just the 1st movie again...
MHA movies are kinda weird, they are technically cannon but have no real baring on the plot, but rather fit comfortably into the main plot much like filler typically does, Unlike most Dragon Ball and Naruto movies which are just non-cannon fan fic. MHA unlike most Shonen kinda gets the emotional aspect of the charecters better then most Shonen, but its usually not mature enough to really mean much and puts it in this weird in-between of too emotional for teen-age boys but not mature enough for adults. This and the last movie dont really have much to offer for plot, emotion or really any meaningful character development as both feel like you could skip them and they have no real baring to the plot as a whole.
The one part that this and the last mo…

Well i must say it was a good suprise, the new characters are decent, nothing to say about that, but the strong point about this movie is the animation and the relationship between Deku and Bakogou.
Clearly an amazing movie in every sense, my only complain is stupid plot points to make this make sense with the main story.
The story is also not very unique but that does not mean its bad, i do love a good power of friendship story, specially if protecting kids are involved.
Besides that i recommend this movie to everyone.
Lets make some score shall we?
Story 5
Animation 9 Characters 6

It's intense story, characters, and soundtrack give it in my opinion one of the best movies I've ever seen.
The story was driven with tons of action, the characters are portrayed as true heroes and the soundtrack made me cry with some songs with it's beauty.
Is also say that the setting was to of the notch as well as the animation that the creates had time to make.
The climax and ending made the story very unique since this wasn't found in the manga itself.
Overall it's worth the watch if your a Boku no Hero Academia fan. Now go Beyond, Plus Ultra!

Boku no Academia: Heroes Rising is a thrilling addition to the My Hero Academia franchise. This movie delivers a good story with new villains that keep the audience on the edge of their seats. The soundtracks remain fantastic as ever with some twist that adds to the excitement.
The story follows the UA High School students, who are now pro-heroes-in-training, as they embark on a mission to an isolated island to help the local people. However, they soon find themselves facing off against the Nine, a group of powerful villains with quirks that pose a significant threat to the students and the islanders. The stakes are high as the students fight to protect the island and their own futures.
The new villains in this movie are a welcome addition to the My Hero Academia universe. Each villain's…

One of my issue with the first My Hero Academia movie was the animation quality not being any better than the show. Well the 3rd act of this movie has an insanely good animation with one of the best fights seen in the series. It also explores a bit more of the relationship between Midoriya and Bakugo.
It's a shame that the ending ends up being dumb because they had to conform to the sake of canon. Additionally, the relationship between Midoriya and the new movie supporting character, Katsuma, is not interesting whatsoever. The first half of this movie is also quite slow and boring.
Just watch it for the action and not the plot.

This is probably my second favorite of the MHA movies (World Heroes Mission just narrowly beats it) and probably the biggest reason is the focus it gives to more of the side characters. I know the main focus is Deku and Bakugo, and the characterization they go through is amazing. The first time I watched it I was screaming at the screen over what was happening. I think my heart was skipping beats the entire movie. But they also get to show off characters like Koda and Shoji as the incredible heroes they are (That scene with Shoji and the Chimera villain honestly sticks in my mind constantly). The voice talent in both the sub and the dub is great, all the emotion is really captured. And the music? You will be shedding tears by the climax. And don't even get me started on the animation, it's…

Remember all of the criticism I had for the first Hero Academia movie. Heroes Rising has none of those issues. All of the class is on an island to be temporary heroes which is established within the first ten minutes, so there isn’t pointless time wasted explaining why everyone is here. This allows the film enough time to breath, and actually gives me 5 seconds to half-care about these new characters enough to give a shit about what happens to them.
This difference in an opening section cannot be understated. Just like the first film, the last hour is basically one extended action piece, granted with a fairly concrete split in the middle that only takes up about 5 minutes of running time, yet what preceded this spectacle completely changed my viewing experience. By the time the first film…

And congratulations to MHA: Heroes:Rising for becoming my 100th completed anime! Or it would have been my 100th completed if I TECHNICALLY didn't finish probably the last ~3 minutes, meaning that I am eternally grateful to my very legal website for cutting the movie short. The TL;DR is the movie is shit. All shounen movies are, with the exceptions being demon slayer and jujutsu kaisen.
Spoilers beyond this point, but who really gives a shit.
Story 1/10
Pretty average shounen stuff to start off with. Not really much to comment on. Bad guy wants bad thing so good guys stop bad guy from doing bad thing because being bad is bad. If it had stopped there it would have been a 5 or 6 due to the lack of originality. However, there is one part of the story that I wish I had just convinced myself t…

The writing of the story is like someone got a short summary of the universe and tried making a 2h video of it. Never have seen that shitty video in my life. This video is so meaningless that it could not exist and it would change nothing in the creation of the world. Why do I hate it you ask, it because the abilities and lore doesn't make sense. The connection of the film to anime was non-existent. That's a bullshit story. The final battle was so abhorrent that i thought i am gonna puke. If not for animation I would say that it was made by a 11 years old with psychological problems, in a basement. Afterall i doesn't deserve anything higher than 1/10.

I hate to say this, but with how much oversaturated the industry has been in recent years, Boku no Hero Academia fell under the “normie” label, now, that's a classification I don't even recognize as valid, however, with how vast and diverse this fandom is, you can't escape but bring it up in conversations. My Hero will always be a good show, but the desperate hateful eyes will never shut up about comparing it to this and that.
I believe the franchise needs no introduction, with 5 seasons (6ths in the works) and three movies to its name as of writing this review, its fame has well been planted and solidified, a popular show like this can't be bad, right? right? With that aside, we're here for the movie, not the label at hand, so buckle up for the read.
It was a surprise to nobody that a s…

Way more enjoyable than the first. Firstly, because it slid the huge cast into a situation where they could all contribute a lot more naturally. Second, just because of how character development works on the show, this movie takes place in a period where all the characters are more interesting. Rather than prospective heroes in training, they are rookie heroes in their own right. Taking care of an island as a school assignment Just Works and gives a lot of opportunities to have the less important characters be involved. Granted, they still didn't do Much or Enough with them outside of combat, but what there was was nice.
Unfortunately, it's still just a movie about fighting a movie-original villain without a backstory. That was never going to be too satisfying, even with Class 1-A working…

(This is the sixth and final part of a series of video and written reviews called The Decline of My Hero Academy. If you haven't been reading through them and only want a review of Heroes Rising, stop before you get to the section that says "Decline of My Hero Academy Conclusion".)
Heroes Rising blew my mind because it’s kind of the opposite of the first movie. Whereas Two Heroes looked horrendous and like they threw most of it together in a month, movie 2 looks…good. Especially compared to the rest of the series. Where Two Heroes somehow looked worse than the series, Heroes Rising looks infinitely superior to the series. The entire time I was watching it, the dominant thought I had was “holy fuck why does this look so good?” (I would provide screenshots here like I did for the AL review,…

Once I promised to myself, I will never write reviews, in this corrupt joke site, but gave it a final one shot.
I will keep it short, because it will get deleted, because it's not a 2 star no-life hating review.
The movie was on fire. When I see these kind of animated Japanese movies, I always have this "that was decent" after taste. Especially because they are not part of the main story, and also can get boring really fast. Most of these series to movies I watch was just a stop at 20 minute and continue next time fest. But in this case, I was hooked from the beginning to the end. The story was interesting and always keep up my attention and the art style doesn't feel that off as usual. Also the whole thing could possibly happened in the universe, since they earesed the important parts, s…

I feel that a lot of these reviews are being unnecessarily critical for the stupidest things, the movie was great, it was by no means a heavenly sent masterpiece golden wrapped and kissed in the forehead by Hayao Miyazaki, but I can't remember the last time I sat down and genuinely enjoyed a good show adaptation like this.
I'm not going to write a 20-page essay as a review, so I'm just going to put it simply, if you're looking to see this movie as an elite anime connoisseur go watch Akira for 132nd time, but if you're looking to watch a good action film that will keep you happily entertained for a solid hour and a half with one of the most kick-a$ final fight scenes I've seen in a while, then your in for a treat...

I entered the theater expecting to go Plus Ultra, become the 4th Hokage, and maybe even find the mythical One Piece. I left questioning my existence and how cinema has deteriorated. Martin Scorsese was right, My Hero Academia is a disgrace to the cinema. I would much have preferred a Mushishi live action.
For you newcomers to my reviews, I will dissect my opinion into 5 crucial sections, henceforth known as napkins.

Story (3/10)
I'd like to take you back to a date in time when the great Kublai Khan approached the Japanese with the demands for a peaceful surrender. However, the Japanese refused to and managed to stave off the Mongol invasion due to several Typhoons wrecking attempts at a naval landing. According to the film, the Mongols should have met Deku, who could have shar…
