Title: The Ultimate Power Fantasy Masterpiece - Season 2 Deserves a Perfect 10!
• Overall: 10/10
This is hands down one of the most hype and well-executed adaptations I have ever watched. Season 2 delivered everything a fan could ever ask for and completely exceeded my expectations.
• Story: 9/10
The pacing is fast, intense, and leaves absolutely no room for boredom. Watching Sung Jinwoo embrace his power as the Monarch of Shadows while searching for a cure for his mother is incredibly gripping. Every single "Arise" moment gave me literal chills.
• Animation: 10/10
A-1 Pictures absolutely outdid themselves! The battle sequences (especially the High Orc dungeon) are incredibly fluid, featuring dynamic camera angles and jaw-dropping shadow effects. Seeing Jinwoo fight is pure eye candy.
• So…

Good grief, I honestly can’t believe it. Throughout my entire anime journey since 2015, I have never seen a story that defines pure, peak "junk food" as much as this show. Even series like JJK and KNY, which are basically just "junk food" themselves, still manage to have way more engaging stories and actually interesting characters compared to whatever this trainwreck is. I have watched Season I to Season II of this anime.
A. The Things I Praise:
1. God-Tier Animation & Soundtracks
The studio did a phenomenal job. The fight choreography, fluid movement, and sheer scale of the action sequences are visually stunning. When Sung Jin-woo transforms and fights, the animation looks incredibly badass and delivers an elite visual spectacle. The soundtrack "Dark Aria" by Hiroyuki Sawano, in this s…

Solo Leveling Season 2 is excellent at making Jinwoo look cool, but increasingly struggles to make anything around him feel threatening. The action looks fantastic and the soundtrack is still awesome. The writing, however, is getting harder to care about. Season 1 already had a fairly mundane story, and this season doubles down on the power fantasy while losing much of the tension that made the progression enjoyable.
Season 1 got considerably more leeway because Jinwoo began genuinely weak. His improvement mattered when there were still good reasons to worry about what he could handle. By Season 2, that uncertainty has become much harder to maintain. There is a difference between being told something is dangerous and actually feeling that danger while watching. Some stretches barely have…

I loved the animations and the actions in this show, lots of fast movements and flashy effects that made the main character look more decisive fights. Yeah that's fun to watch. But if you want something like a better story, you will not want this. If you try this, you're gonna find out how ridiculous Solo Leveling has been written and no it’s not necessarily easy to understand.
The show doesn't ever talk much about any characters, brings no character development, no depths and no growths. It focuses heavily on Sun Jin Woo getting stronger and stronger all day long, just him aura farming and becoming emotionless. You can also include how it keeps repeating all over again, He faces an enemy, takes them down, winning it and raises levels. Gets stronger that makes many fights boring and predi…

This anime is great, it has well animated fight scenes that are entertaingin to watch and the characters have cool abilities and what not. The main criticism I see is that the plot is not really there, which I concede is true, but I think the people who say this are kind of missing the point of this story. The point is to see cool fight scenes animated and the guy defeating all these crazy monsters. In this regard it does a fine job. The plot is not innovative, carefully-written, or even good, but that doesn't mean that the work is bad. To understand this, we must first ask what makes something 'good'. When it comes to entertainment, the answer is quite simple: a good work is entertaining. While for some people great animations and fight scenes are not what they are looking for to be enter…

Solo Leveling is a fun classic power fantasy anime with an incredible sense of mystery yet terribly written characters, and while I do believe you can find more of a backstory on any background character EVER than any solo leveling character it rises above your other power fantasies due to factors like its music; done by Hiroyuki Sawano, one of the biggest and most recognized anime music composers/producers in the modern day, its very well written sense of mystery, a somewhat simple power system that people can relate to and enjoy as well as its high budget well choreographed fights. unfortunately its character development/design drags it down a couple points but I don't believe that makes it deserving of the hate it receives.

Solo leveling is really a waste of time if you want to enjoy a show every moment of it and having an atmospheric experience at the same time, it's like having a fast meal and then forgetting everything about its taste and the time you had this meal so, if you are bored and hungry watch it, trust me you won't remember any character but Jin Woo, though it was fun but you will just forget everything about it and maybe won't even return to it, it's just not suitable for a Literary work.
Watch it if you want an anime you complete with one sitting just like eating your favorite meal, otherwise it's a waste of time, although even your favorite anime was a waste of time, but at least you lived with the show and enjoyed it with every moment it had.
Story: 6/10
characters: 3/10 (only one major cha…

it’s a fun show and the fights are great but the way people talk about this like it’s the greatest show ever created is crazy.
It's good for newbie (kids & teens) as there is no heavy story good animation & mostly fight just watch and move on 😉
Get's most unnecessary hate just because Anime Of The Year 🥀
The fight scenes are sharp, fast, and beautifully animated.
Every time Jin-Woo says “Arise,” it feels powerful. The soundtrack and visual effects make even simple battles feel epic.
However, emotionally, the story is more focused on power progression than deep character relationships. Side characters don’t always get enough development. It’s mainly Jin-Woo’s journey and that works because his growth is the core attraction.

The second season of Solo Leveling keeps doing what the series does best: pure spectacle. The animation remains at a very high level, with intense, well-choreographed action scenes that are visually striking and make each episode fly by. The sound design and OST also play a big role in building that constant epic atmosphere, especially during the most tense moments.
Jinwoo continues to be the main focus of the story, and his growth is clearly the driving force of the season. For fans of power fantasy, the show delivers exactly what it promises. That said, the pacing feels very fast. Some parts move a bit too quickly, which slightly reduces the emotional impact certain moments could have had. It often feels like the story is always moving forward without taking much time to breathe.

Solo Leveling is the kind of anime that makes it very clear where it shines — and where it falls short.
The animation is absolutely insane (100/10). The fights are the true heart of the series: epic, intense, and extremely well choreographed. Every confrontation is designed to hit hard, delivering moments that genuinely give you chills. The OST supports these scenes really well, creating a solid foundation of tension and grandeur (8/10), which further elevates the visual spectacle.
The problems start when we look at the story (5/10). It’s weak and predictable, serving almost exclusively as an excuse for the action to happen. There are no real narrative risks or surprises — everything exists simply to move Sung Jin-Woo from one stylish fight to the next.
Speaking of him, Jin-Woo’s developme…

Yes, another anime with an invincible protagonist. Reason why I didn't bother watching when s01 came out. But, I decided to give it a go 'cuz of all the hype it was getting. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised! The story / characters just hits different. And I'm glad I didn't watch when it when it came out, 'cuz I was able to binge seasons 1 & 2, which is my preferred way of watching seasonal anime anyway.
Season 1 laid a solid story/character foundation and the art/animation was good. But Seaon 2, Holy cow!! Please give these sketch artists/animators a big fat raise! Hell, give everyone involved in this project a pay raise and bonus!
Amazing detail in art/animation! Spectacular eye candy! (simmering black smoke, simmering glowing blue/red from the shadow army, light/shadow effects, dynamic…

if you like hype moments and aura watch this. if you like characters and a plot dont. it's got great animation but jinwoo is genuinely such an aura farmer, he would let someone die if it mean he would look cooler when he steps in. i couldn't tell you the names or personality of any other character in the show looking back on it, they're all just props to make him look better anyway 🤷🏻♀️ his character development is just him getting a sharp jawline and a haircut 😭the entire story is very predictable, there are a few fights in the first season where you wonder if he's going to lose and have to run, but here he just wins all the time and it's never even that tough 😔

Alright. This is literally the most hated anime I have ever seen since Sword Art Online. Never saw SAO, was never interested. Never seemed like my cup of tea, and none of it ever appealed to me in the slightest. People called this show the modern-day SAO, which has made me avoid it like the plague. I started hating Solo Leveling before even watching it. It looked like mid Shounen slop. Keep in mind that, as I write this review, I have seen a wide range of anime, encompassing many different genres. My go-to anime is usually ones with in-depth, complex writing, and a compelling narrative. I much prefer slower, philosophical anime that shines in the writing, rather than in its production value.
This is the first time that I actually agree that the show is average, generic, and simple. When…

Overall a good popcorn anime: great animations and cool action. If you want to turn your brain off and just see some flashy action, this is for you.
Aside of that it's pretty shallow. It's your stereotypical isekai power fantasy (overpowered protagonist defeats everything, gets all the girls, gets all his goals done, all the companies want to hire him (lol), etc) with all the classic stereotypes. Some story parts and side characters reactions don't make any sense and only happen because it either benefits the protagonist or helps the plot going on, so don't expect too much logic aswell.
Especially towards the end of season2 it gets really, really weak, I won't spoiler but the last 4-5 episodes felt unnecessary and logic-wise made no sense at all.
It's nice isekai power fantasy action sl…

How much more blatant can a story’s in-built plot armor for its MC get and still continue to ride that wave? Even an antagonist could do nothing but exclaim extreme confusion when Jinwoo received the freaking author’s help at death’s door. This is so silly, but still so fun, even if the entire Jeju Island is a Chimera Ant arc knockoff.
I’m truly wondering how they will handle the rest of the cast apart from Jinwoo. S-rank hunters holding monikers such as “Humanity’s Ultimate Weapon” seem like rubble in the face of a literal unkillable meta-protected evolving creature and the ever-escalating scale of conflict that it feels like animating a Gacha game’s heavy powercreep. It’s quite merciless to establish the concept of Hunters in a way that keeps them from reaching new heights, while creat…

Look, this just isn't for me I've learned. Excited by what could happen in the first episodes of season 1 have led me down a path of bitter disappointment. The fights are good fun and very well animated but Jesus this story. There are absolutely no stakes and very slow if any character development. They can introduce all the cool looking and sounding bad guys they want (and I like them!) but knowing that Jinwoo will win every fight ruins this for me.
Stuff looks cool, some characters look cool (except for Jinwoo, get a cool outfit please) and the music goes pretty hard in some parts too.
If you find enjoyment in this, please be my guest. There is nothing wrong with it!

Solo Leveling can only be described in one way — an absolute action-based power fantasy that knows exactly what it wants to be and delivers on it 100%. Not every story needs to be Shakespearean-level with deep philosophical meaning; sometimes, all it needs to do is entertain, and Solo Leveling does that perfectly.
Our mighty MC, Sung Jin-Woo, feels like a breath of fresh air — a no-nonsense protagonist. He’s not the typical “power of friendship” type or a timid character who couldn’t hurt a fly. Instead, he’s grounded and driven by simple, relatable goals saving his mom and protecting his loved ones. Sure, he might come off as an edgelord at times, but it fits perfectly with the tone of the story.
The Plot
It’s as straightforward as it gets — zero to hero (or rather, overpowered hero). D…

As far as adaptations go, Season 2 of Solo Leveling does an ok job of translating the webtoon to the anime format. The realization of the big ticket fights via animation is great, but the anime does a poor job of adapting the LitRPG aspects of the story to the screen; additionally, it doesn't improve upon any of the original mediums' flaws (such as one-dimensional side characters who get power crept into irrelevancy before we've even seen them do anything). As a result, you end up with a generic power fantasy that quickly loses its steam at a slightly faster rate than the webtoon did; once the protagonist--who, by this point in the story, has all the personality and character development of wet cardboard--is the de facto strongest and never faces any more challenges at a fairly early point…

Solo leveling season 2 changed the standarts of fighting anime genre whit great animation, coreography, soundtrack, sound effects, special effects .For me this Is the anime whit the best fights tied whit Demon slayer . I cant give 10/10 because the story of this anime Is plain and simple no outstanding backstorys or great storylines Is more of a One punch man if it was serious. Even though Demon slayer as a better animation for me this Anime is a better fighting anime the Coreography and the special effects make It unique. I would give this anime 9.3 every episode had high standarts and great moments.

Every now and then, a new work emerges that stands out amidst the industry's sea of mediocrity and automatically becomes extremely popular among already jaded consumers. And in the 2010s, we saw a considerable increase in stories whose protagonists are initially failures in their everyday lives, but upon acquiring a supreme and mysterious power, they evolve until they become practically, and sometimes literally, gods within their fictional worlds. You could argue, however, that this structure is common to most works, as these characters need to grow stronger to overcome the increasingly powerful antagonists that emerge over time. But in my rebuttal, I simply propose the following mental exercise. It won't be difficult, I promise; in fact, it will be over faster than you think. Imagine a…
