The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior

The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior

Introduction

Eight-year-old Pride Royal Ivy suddenly recalls her former life as a fan of the otome game Our Ray of Light. While on her way to replay it, she tragically died, reincarnating as the game's final boss and firstborn princess of Freesia. Her knowledge of the game's events leads everyone to believe she has the power of precognition. But unlike the game's original princess, this new Pride does not wish to torment those around her, such as her younger sister and adopted brother. Haunted by nightmares of her other self's atrocities, Pride resolves to protect her family and country while progressing the story. As the world around her changes, she prepares for the day she will have to die at the hands of the game's main characters. Nevertheless, before that happens, Pride will either transform her kingdom for the better or fall under the weight of her possible crimes. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

By far the worst of the Hamefura knockoffs that I've seen. I didn't mind the low production quality and lack of originality, but what did get me was: - The repetition and slow pace. This isn't a slice of life and isn't trying to be, the best I can guess is incompetence or intentionally trying to stretch time. Almost every other episode was just decompressing and recapping the events of the previous episode. The 12 episodes probably could have been edited down to 8 without losing any content. - The lack of effort. There's a whole chunk where characters are speaking of issues with 'a neighboring kingdom' or 'looks like he's from a different country' because clearly there was no thought to worldbuilding or what the rest of the world looks like. In a more competent show that would be an aven…

Decided to give it a go and I was honestly disappointed at the premise of the story. It's a reincarnation into a game character that apparently was meant to be the worst of the worst. But now the person that had played through it lives in this fantasy world not truly inside a game but made of the game. There's some interesting points in this fantasy world, although not much action is involved this is more like a royalty slice-of-life with game paths the MC chooses outside of the game's intended path. The one thing that made me choose this were the words "Last Boss" and "Villainess to Savior". It does present the bits that were the last boss and villainess but I still can't imagine this game as some kind of RPG with Dating Sim options but more of a Dating Sim Visual Novel. Could be interest…

Pride is one of the best villainesses out there. She's headstrong and bold, but has incredible compassion. Love how she isn't a goody two shoes. She is just in her treatment of others and firm in her opinions. What makes her unique is her love for her kingdom and the people around her. She actively changes the story to try and improve the lives of those around her rather than trying to escape her own death flag. Absolutely love her dynamic and slow burn with Val. I liked Arthur as well. His family is so precious. His father being a doting parent despite looking serious and fearsome was refreshing to watch!! However, there was no need for Stale to be a love interest. A person can be devoted to another as friend/sibling as well. I hate siscon troupe. But unlike Bakarina's brother, Stale…

Well... Hmmm... It's the sort of anime where you reach the last episode and you wonder "why did I watch it?". It's not bad. The art does the job, without being anything really good. Music is probably there, but well...unremarkable. Performances are okay. The story could be interesting, MC knows she's supposed to be a villain and fights her destiny. And here lies one of the interesting points, she does know and we get glimpses of what should really happen, of how Pride the mc is supposed to act and be evil. Sure, why not? So, all in all, you could have a pleasant anime, sufficiently well executed to be worth a watch. But then, there are the plotholes. Well, plot ravines? Plot Mariana Trench? And there are quite a few of those. Like, for example, the Queens must have the gift of foresight…

I was hooked on the first episode, but that feeling quickly fell off. I thought "Wow! This actually looks like one of the much better villainess anime." And to a certain extent, it is. One of the best parts of the anime to me was the true villainy they portrayed, something that's ironically rare in the villainess genre. Even though that isn't portrayed as character development but rather character motivation I can forgive that since it's common that the villainess "transforms" into a likeable girl (even if its sudden). The drama leading up to the male interests being added to the harem is when the show started to become a bit boring. It just wasn't that interesting or romantic. Watching the main lead make decisions and act like a ruler was far more interesting and what got me to like her…

This is an isekai anime with the premise of reincarnating in the body of a villain from an otome game. As the story progresses, the protagonist ends up creating a reverse harem. It's an anime with a familiar premise, but if you're watching it expecting it to become one of your favorite isekai anime, it might not be good. I'll explain: I have good and bad things to say, starting with the good: The character designs are very beautiful, which makes it more interesting to watch. The characters are charismatic and enjoyable to watch. It's cool to see the protagonist gaining more allies and her power as queen increasing as the story progresses, going from a hated queen to a queen trusted by the army and all the servants. Now the main negative points: slow pacing, the protagonist's age progres…

Pride easily carries the Anime on her own. She’s a likeable and strong lead that keeps things engaging. The music is great, especially the opening, which instantly earned a spot on my playlist. The pacing is fairly balanced not too fast, not too slow. The supporting cast is solid, though I would’ve liked to see more extended backstories for them. The overall tone leans toward adventure and works well for fans of the genre. Overall, it’s a pleasant and enjoyable anime, and I’m looking forward to continuing with the next part. While the story follows a familiar formula, its execution and characters make it enjoyable overall. It may not be groundbreaking, but it delivers a solid experience that fits the adventure tone and leaves a good impression by the end.

Unpretentious Reviews The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior scratches the isekai itch. It has some fine highlights that make it worth a watch, but as with many isekai, it also presents some serious flaws that prevent it from ascending to a universally good anime. The story? Mostly good. It follows the My Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom template. Except unlike Catarina Claes, the protagonist of this anime, Princess Pride, plays it straight. She's not the adorable goofball Catarina is. But she still possesses the extreme charisma that results in all around her adoring her and wishing to protect her. For some reason she also possesses a cheat skill that makes her nearly instantly master any skill she tries which I actually found a bit off-putting. So mu…

I think this one is my fav out of all the “villainess” anime I have watched, Like I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss, Tearmoon Empire, 7th Time Loop, My Next Life as a Villainess, Villainess Level 99, and I’ll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History. the female lead is incredibly strong, kind. She’s not typical “villainess turned good” trope; her character feels genuinely human, with conviction and empathy that make you root for her every step of the way. I also absolutely love the art style. It’s beautiful, expressive, and really enhances the tone of the story, the supporting males look super nice too. Another thing that makes this series so special is how the supporting characters actually matter. They don’t just fade into the background after their introduction, th…

I wonder how many villainess anime I've seen at this point? But here I am, still giving this one 9 out of 10. This is great! It is not that it is unique compared to other villainess anime, because it's not really. As a matter of fact, it has the usual feel good, make-everyone-love-her trope. It just does that really. Aside from that, i love the art style. I love the character designs. And i love the relationships of the side characters (like the friendship of the 2 male characters, etc). This anime had me smiling giddy a few times. It also had me crying a few times! This is probably my favorite after All Routes Lead to Doom (Catarina). All in all, I really enjoyed it. I am hoping for a season 2.

Villainess otome isekai with an overpowered, perfect MC and no real stakes. MC changes her personality completely, is stronger than her own kingdom's knights, and manages to save everyone. All characters including her family, siblings and love interests end up simping for her while also feeling frustrated that they can't protect MC. Villainess being overpowered and knowing all future events is a given, but the plot's pacing is awful and there is no real stake when MC can overcome everything on her own. I expected to see a timeskip from MC's childhood to her being a queen, but at the last episode she was still an overpowered child and I felt like I wasted my time by watching this anime. I expected something fun like Villainess level 99 but was really disappointed.

Recently, I've been having anime fatigue and haven't watched any in half a year. I'm not sure if I hate this show because of that, or because I've grown tired of anime over time. With that in mind, here's my review anyways: Last Boss Queen isn't THAT bad when compared to other anime in the otome genre. There is so much media out there that it feels pointless to praise it. It is slightly better than the average otome anime. However, it still sticks to a very safe formula, which makes its advantages a technicality you're forced to admit, rather than something you genuinely enjoy. It's mostly the same old stuff. Girl is reincarnated into a video game/story where she is the villain and will die. The setting is, you guessed it, boring medieval "European" fantasy. There's the king, queen, orde…

This is objectively not very good. The animation is average, as is the writing and much of the music. It's a retread of the most basic tropes of isekai/villianess anime. That being said, it just makes you smile for some reason. It's so unapologetically melodramatic and just rolls with it. Characters make utterly stupid decisions just to set up needless drama. It takes itself way too seriously in a way that's just kind of fun. This is probably the least objective review I've written on here, but give it a chance. Especially now that they somehow greenlit a second season.

Honestly, when I first started watching, I thought the main character was a boring, weak, tearful, and annoying person. After watching the whole anime, I realized what a great female protagonist Pride Royal Ivy is. After all that she has shown, Pride is the ideal model for intelligence, strength, femininity, beauty, and above all, kindness; she is like a newly born angel. The things she does bring a lot of meaning to this anime. Those actions make me feel moved. Rating Story: 8/10 Art: 9/10 Animation (battle scenes) : 7/10 Music (OP, ED,...) : 7/10 The voice actors also did a really good job. I have to say that I am very satisfied with the pace of the story. I have almost no valid reason or unreasonable point to criticize in this anime, unless it is not to your taste. This series is bas…

I recently watched, and I have to say, it left a deep impression on me. There are many anime with strong protagonists, but the princess in this story stood out in a way that truly earned my respect. Her journey was not just about power, duty, or status—it was about learning to appreciate life itself, even in its smallest details. But as the story unfolds, you realize that she carries much more than just the weight of her title. Her struggles, both internal and external, make her incredibly human. She faces hardships that test her patience, kindness, and strength, but what makes her so admirable is the way she handles them. Instead of becoming bitter or giving up, she chooses to find meaning in even the smallest things. This anime taught me an important lesson: sometimes, we get so caught…

Well, this one's a mixed bag if anything. The short description is that it's very basic to the genre. Now to get into details.... It's far too overdramatic. It feels more like a telenovela then an anime . In a real bad way. I only got a little emotional when they got into Val and the orphans, since it's rather realistic. The plot is very meh, further pushed into that middle ground and below by the MC. I always thought this whole reincarnated into a game sub-genre of isekai is rather intresting , but it's always poorly executed, more so then basic isekai is. The MC is always "it's gonna happen, imma become the evil villain" and all, even though they are clearly fully in control of what they do. And even when they change the story from the first chapter they still keep themselves into that…

I confidently recommend the first 7 episodes. Lovable red-haired former villainess cutie goes around being really, really nice to people. She's also an OP badass, incidentally, and there are mild cloak-and-dagger political elements too; but mainly, you're there to gush over the main character and how cute and nice she is, just like the other characters in the show do. At first, adequately written. Character emotions and reactions made sense and the redeeming or inspirational moments had some weight to them. There were times where the scene may have been taking itself a little too seriously, but overall, the energy matched what was happening on screen. The scenes of her former villain life made her kindness towards others especially impactful. But then, episode 8... Suddenly, what was…

I did enjoy the anime, but there were times when the characters were just idiotic. I will not give any spoilers for I hope you will form your own opinions on this show. Theres a scene where one of the characters powers is revealed and a dilemma later arrives where that power could have been put to use right away... but instead they spent majority of a whole episode panicking and almost falling into despair on how to rectify the situation. The main character spends way too much time in grief over the previous villainess "would be " decision. It's like she forgets it's a game and that she has full control over her destiny now. It becomes annoying and tedious after a while. Overall, I still hope for a second season and that they will flush out the characters a little more. The show tugs at th…

A safe show to watch with family (Asian standard, where children in Dinasty settings forced to be mentaly mature ASAP). Showing what is wrong to do & not to do, while having a non-toxic parent figure on heroine side. Support characters have some toxic parents for "bad examples" & how children grows into questionable adult under them. It feels easy to learn good/bad this way rather than having them flipped. This simplicity didn't take away the drama, good tense, & pacing either. The isekai-ed heroine didn't bring up her previous life into her new one, so plot-wise feel focused and clean. However, if there will ever be Season 2 and it brings the previous life stuff, it might actually feels suprisingly natural, which means more depth than expansion before actually introducing possible new ma…

First of all the good points: - The instances where characters interact with one another instead of completely centering on the mc - The mc focusing on self-improvement - The scene where it showed that the character was positively influenced by mc and it was executed nicely The main reason I think its a waste of time - The implications of the sexualisation of a fkin 13 year old - THIS ANIME WOULD HAVE BEEN A 7/10 IF MC WAS 18 - WHY ARE YOU SHIPPING A GROWN ASS MAN WITH A 13 YEAR OLD - STOP PUTTING A 13 YEAR OLD IN SITUATIONS WHERE HER BEING AN 18 YR OLD WOULDVE MADE IT 10000000% BETTER - ABSOLUTELY UPSET I FINISHED IT, I COULD NOT EVEN WATCH THE LAST EPISODE PROPERLY BC I WAS SO DISGUSTED
