What was the runtime? 2 hours. You know what this also mean? 2 Champions Leagues, and I won more Champions Leagues than all five Quintuplets together. 2 for me and 0 for them. Respect, man. Respect. Respect. Respect!
José Mourinho: 2
Miku: 0
Itsuki: 0
Nino: 0
Yotsuba: 0
Ichika: 0
The first hour is very boring. The lengthy school festival is a waste of time. If it were a 20-minute TV episode, it would have been pleasing, but when feature films meander in such a fashion, it displeases me greatly. The cause of the pursy runtime is a lack of focus and discipline. If you want to see Japanese discipline, buy a Toyota and do not watch this film. Fortunately, the first hour of the film does contain a decent helping of plot progression despite its roly-poly nature, so it has a part in building the…

The Quintessential Quintuplets Movie is the final part of the main show.
It revolves around the school festival, narrating many different scenarios, with Futaro spending time with each of the quintuplets. Although the second season lacked in this regard, the movie does a great job giving each girl time to express their feelings towards the MC, while also showing the development they’ve made from the first season.
Futaro clearly changed every quintuplet for the better, however I couldn’t help but notice the immense growth of especially Miku and Itsuki, who I would consider the two best written characters, but I won’t go too into detail to avoid spoilers.
We also got to look into many unclear topics and parts of each character’s backstory which were never addressed. For the ending, witho…

I enjoyed the show a lot, both seasons, and was very surprised how emotionally attached a harem show could make me and how decent it was in all areas, like writing, story progression, visuals, etc. So... I don't know what on earth happened here. This movie DRAGS ON and most of it feels pretty pointless and the dramaticness that was build up so well throughout the main show loosens and disappears into nothing, and a lot of the movie is things repeating themselves. Think of it like a Visual Novel adaptation that adapts multiple routes ... except all the routes lead to the same outcome. So, point, where? And YET somehow the final stretch feels incredibly rushed. What a feat for an otherwise excellently paced series.
The ending itself, the big reveal I was waiting for from episode 1, is not t…

I watched this movie a day after watching season 2. Yes, I was hoping that another girl would win but sadly, the OTHER one did (no spoilers!). But that's not a problem, I think Fuutaro chose the one right for him, not the one right for ME. ME.
The art and music is still a banger. Still hits. Still really darn good.
I have to say, at the end I was a bit icked out in the wedding as it broke some taboos (if you know you know)... but I think I can overlook that. Barely. Geez.
Amazing conclusion though. I really liked how the movie was structured in a way that made it so that you could see each quintuplet's events and development during the last 1-2 days of the school festival, very interesting way.
Well... there goes one of the best romance anime's I've watched ever. I gotta say, they nailed…

My rating: 8.9/10
This movie is a great example of a perfect way to end of a great series.
The first season of tqq was good and the 2nd was even better but this movie really shocked me, i was not expecting it to be this good.
The first half of this movie was this really uniquely structured summer festival event where we went deeper into the quints perspective and their feelings, not just towards fuutaro but also towards each other and their parents. It brought a lot of depth to the quints, which is something i felt this movie did extremely well. Quints like Itsuki or Yotsuba became much more deep and complex and i think the movie made even the less likeable Ichika likeable.
This movie highlights the themes of jealousy and portrays it really well. All 5 of them like Fuutaro (romantica…

If I could put an eleven I would, the first season was amazing and the second one was even better. But the movie was just the cherry on top of everything, a perfect ending. It had unpredictable moments and the art style, music was perfect for the film. If you liked the anime even a little you will love the movie and everything about it, it has its sad and happy moments which makes it even better. There wasn’t a moment in the movie were I got bored, I watched it all in one go and my eyes were glued on the screen. Probably the best anime movie I have ever seen.

Anime Review: The Quintessential Quintuplets Movie
⭐ Rating: 9/10
The Quintessential Quintuplets Movie is a beautifully satisfying conclusion to the romantic story of five identical sisters and one lucky guy, Fuutarou Uesugi. The film picks up where the series left off and delivers the emotional climax fans have been waiting for since the beginning.
Visually, the animation is stunning—an upgrade from the TV series. Each important scene is crafted with care and emotion, and the background music perfectly enhances both the romantic and dramatic moments.
The most compelling part of the movie is how it finally reveals who Fuutarou chooses. The answer is delivered in a heartfelt and realistic way, and each of the quintuplets is given enough screen time to shine. Their individual growth and e…

This movie isn't perfect but it's still incredible. The music, animation, and character development definitely lived up to the expectations set by the first 2 seasons and summer specials. The main issue with this movie is how it condenses so much of the story into only 2 hours. If you haven't read/don't plan on reading the manga before watching this movie, know that an extremely valuable and worthwhile character arc (which ends up having a lot of plot significance) didn't make the cut for the adaptation. Still, the movie offers an emotional and unforgettable conclusion to the story. By the end of the movie, you'll be able to accept the victor (and look forward to the honeymoon special). While I wish the writing and plot condensing could have better represented the complete story in this mo…

Personal Opinion
This is honestly one of the best-written shows when it comes to misleading the audience.
The twists had me second-guessing everything.
Like—plot fake-outs on top of fake-outs. Loved it.
What really got me was how the first act used the petal structure for storytelling. That was such a smart touch.
And I really appreciated the core theme of the story: trust and relationships.
It nailed that part—completely. It messed with both the characters and the viewers. I was guessing so hard I started to feel paranoid 😂 but the antagonist writing got a bit weak there, sadly. Could’ve hit harder.
By the time we got to the final act, it was heartwarming for sure...
but maybe just a little too much.
If it had been a bit more concise, it would’ve been perfect.

Overall this is still kinda good, but I’m giving it a seven instead of the eight that I gave the seasons and putting mixed on recommendations because of my main personal problems. I haven’t read the source material, but there was definitely stuff in here that required longer pacing. I even remember when I heard the news that this was coming out (I had only watched the first season at the time too) that it felt weird this show of all things was getting a movie, and after having watched it, it still feels weird, unsuiting, and not paced the best. This also is also a movie that wants you to have the context of the show going into it, and that can definitely be fine occasionally. However, for this kind of show specifically I wish it was its own separate thing and not just adapting the rest of…

I loved the 2 seasons of this show, the ending however... had me very uneasy to say the least. (Possible indirect "spoilers" ahead)
The 2 seasons that come before are definetely amazing and had me binge watching, however the movie didnt really capture my attention nor did the storyline. I guess everyone would have their personal prefrences but i feel like the ending to the series is pretty cheap.
Not all negatives though, still a beautiful animation and some characters develop quite well (such as the Quintuplets father), the overall animation colour gradients etc. do make you feel like your there in the conversations and whatnot...
But really the ending was cheap, they took the most under-developed sister, and the one with not much screen time compared to the others, and felt more like…

Of the animes with romance themes, this one with ctz would be my favorite!!! If it weren't for the ending.
The anime in its 2 seasons developed all the girls very well, except one in specific. There are two specific characters, it's impossible for you not to root for them to end up with the protagonist in the end!
Unfortunately, even though the author was aware of fan favoritism, he chose the character with the worst development, with the shortest screen time and the one who demonstrated the least interest in the protagonist, in addition to following the old cliché of the "Childhood Friend", which automatically throws all the construction and effort that the characters put into the entire anime into the trash.
Not to mention the final scene which has no connection whatsoever and leaves us…

As someone who's been invested in the series from the start, I was a bit nervous about how they'd wrap everything up, but oh man, did they deliver.
First off, I'm so glad Fuutarou chose the right girl in the end (no spoilers, I promise!). She's the one who truly understood him from the very beginning, and supported him every step of the way. I won't lie, I was a bit worried they'd pull a fast one on us and go for a different girl, but nope, the writers knew what they were doing.
What really got me, though, was the way the movie tied everything together. All the character arcs, the plot threads, the themes... it all came together in a beautiful, heartwarming way. I was laughing and crying and cheering all at once - my family thought I was crazy, but I didn't care.
The animation was stunn…

5-toubun no Hanayome Movie (2022)
‘Become someone necessary’ is my favourite line from Uesugi.
The film was a great way to finish off this series, happened in an expected but unexpected way. I think more of a shoutout is needed for the quintuplet’s dad who works long hours to support the daughters he loves. A true dad.
The film is wide-reaching and covers every hole I could think of in the show. I like how you get a good clean ending, see the final school festival and have some conflict resolution. I do wonder how the other sisters will cope going forward with finding partners. Since we know some other guys liked some of the other girls it would be nice to know who they ended up with if anyone at all.
Artistically speaking it looks superb, the show is very much top-tier. It does not…

This anime really surprised me. At first I didn't think it was anything special. I have seen a lot of romance anime, so I thought I could predict who he ended up marrying. I was sooooo wrong! This anime was different from a lot of harem romance anime. A lot of the time, the guy doesn't end up with anyone and its up to interpretation. So I really really appreciate that he ends up with one of them. I really thought he was gonna end up with one of them the whole time, but nope! He ends up with the most unexpected one! So great! The only other time an anime has caught me off guard was Shuffle. Cus he too ended up with the most unexpected one. Just wow.... I definitely recommend this one! It's not a waste of time. This movie was absolutely beautiful. <3

Unique because 5 of the main girls are family and extremely close so there are plenty of wholesome moments.
Art style and animation is great
Plenty of funny moments
Good character development for all the girls so the ending will be fine even if your best girl didn't win. Each character is amazing and has their own strengths and flaws in a well written way.
The girls are not overly crazy like some harems where they just throw themselves at the MC for no reason Has a lot of tear jerking moments as well
Would have preferred an ending where my fav girl was chosen but either way, all of them were written well.
You'll like it if you enjoy a harem anime with decent fan service, non-annoying idiot MC, and a wholesome vibe

After putting this off for so long, it’s finally time for The Quintessential Quintuplets Movie! I was excited for this far before it launched in Japan, but the hype continued. I’ll assume you’ve seen the prequels for the purposes of this review.
Story and Characters: Set after the events of the second season, our characters enter the events of their final school festival where our main man, Fuutarou, needs to figure out his feelings towards the Nakano sisters. Each girl decides in their own how they want to finish school with Fuutarou. In addition to the various duties around the festival, every person has their role. That’s the basis of this finale.
Our main cast of characters remain mostly the same as previous seasons, but they’ve grown up even more. They’ve done an incredible job show…

This movie, Was More gonna be the season 3 of 5-toubun no Hanayome, they made a movie instead.
Where the movie turned out great, If you have watched as far as this, Just so you know, this movie gets very emotional
It's a 2 hour movie which can feel very harsh to through for some people, when your first invested in this movie you will mostly like see the whole thing
As the series itself (season 1 and 2) It has the moments where your gonna either almost cry and moments where your gonna laugh a little where it has a very good balance in some ways.
The movie goes a little more down on the comedy side of the series and spike heavely up on emotions where you constantly can feel the tension of what's happening in the movie.
As i said in my review of 5-toubun no Hanayome, if you like romcom's…

A movie that you necessarily have to see the original series for you to be interested in is and the plots have a little more impact, I am sure that many of whom had one of the girls as their favorite will be disappointed, but for the simple reason fact that the protagonist did not choose her, from then on it is an entertaining film which makes everyone feel satisfied when watching it, they present us with different stories that could happen with the different members of the family, from my simple and nothing critical point of view, it didn't seem like the best ending or the most successful decision of all, but I can understand it, a pretty good movie that although it doesn't give us anything more in the romance genre and more specifically in anime, it is fulfilling In my opinion,…
