Hero Without a Class: Who Even Needs Skills?!

Hero Without a Class: Who Even Needs Skills?!

Introduction

In a ritual, the Goddess bestows upon 10-year-old children a "class" that shapes their entire future. As the son of the legendary Sword Princess Fara and Archmage Leon—two of the highest-ranked individuals in their respective classes—Arel seemed destined for greatness. Unfortunately, he is branded as classless and thus unable to naturally inherit any kind of specific skill. However, Arel soon discovers that he can replicate the abilities of any class he desires—though doing so demands significantly more effort than it does for the naturally gifted. Eager to test his unprecedented skills even more by finding stronger opponents, Arel sets out to defy the limits imposed upon him and prove that perseverance can surpass even divinely appointed talent. this show just isn't good, it has decent enough animation and sound but thats all busted because the lead dude is just really insufferable to witness. the first 4 maybe 5 episodes are decent yet they trick you because after that the main guy loses all personality, he sorta just becomes a human shaped skill gobbling blob, dude just see's something then pretty much instantly learns it, even masters it better than the masters. The guy is apparently extremely smart but also dense as a stone, comes off as extremely stuck up and high on himself. add in it doesnt end well at all and I just consider it bad, its probably decent enough to leave on while doing something else but its a dumb dumb show overall.

Honestly, one of the most pointless anime I've ever watched. The premise itself isn't bad, it's the way they went about executing it. The old saying, "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard" is a theme that we've seen in many anime, and initially, I thought that was the direction this show was trying to take. It makes sense that in a world with game-like skills, some skills would be able to be replicated by just performing the action the skill normally does for you. For example, the "basic swordsmanship" skill that essentially amounts to swinging a sword around, or the "shield bash" skill, which is just bashing a shield into someone. Even some of the advanced movement skills, like "dash step" wouldn't be too far-fetched assuming you possessed the required agility and techniq…

I didn't pay much attention and mostly watched this show in the background, but I don't feel like I missed much of anything, honestly if you've watched isekai with a similar title to this before you won't gain much from this, and the weird older sister that looks perpetually 12 doesn't do the show many favors beyond a few clipable "anime is weird sometimes am I right?" moments There are a few plot twists and such but it's all very predictable. If you have time to waste and just want some isekai slop then go for it but otherwise watching a few Youtube shorts clips of this will give you basically all this show has to offer

Honestly the animation was pretty basic for the most part, and it was surprisingly less fan service than usual... Almost toned down significantly. The first part isn't really all that interesting but the second part were it goes all full harry potter + all the sword skills really reminds me of mashale magic and muscles in a way..... Surprisingly works here too so the second part as a lot more enjoyable than I thought it would be. Overall though it's a one and done show, pretty basic, but entertaining enough for me to not get bored with it. Though if you want a more interesting anime than this, well honestly just watch mashale instead since that's a more better anime overall.

It's truly a tragedy! The anime actually started off really well. It had everything I expect from a story. a strong main character who is aware of his strength and has achieved it through hard work. a story that features many antagonists who deserve a lesson due to their arrogance and even a touch of romance. After all, the protagonist isn't averse to women and doesn't get pre-pubescent flinches just because he sees a pair of breasts. The comedic moments also made me chuckle from time to time. Basically, the protagonist makes a satisfying impression and the anime delivers what I expect from lighthearted entertainment —until episode 5! Then it just becomes ridiculous and childish. I find it incomprehensible how anyone can tell a story aimed at teenagers, who are perfectly capable of unde…

I went into this anime with pretty low expectations, and honestly, that might be the best way to watch it. It’s a very straightforward fantasy series that doesn’t try too hard to be complicated or overly dramatic. The pacing is smooth and the episodes are easy to get through. Before I even realized it, I had already watched most of it in one sitting. What I liked about it is how simple and easy it is to follow. The story doesn’t get buried under too many twists or unnecessary plot points. It sticks to its premise and just lets the journey unfold. Because of that, it feels like a very relaxed watch—perfect for when you just want something light and entertaining without thinking too much. That said, it’s definitely not the kind of anime that will blow you away. The characters and story are…

Now, Mushohu no Eiyuu is the type of anime that you know beforehand is going to be bad. It is your run-of-the-mill generic fantasy-adventure, OP MC slop. If you know you're one of those sick people like me who likes to torture themselves with these types of anime and actually enjoy it, then sure, give it a watch. If you're not, then don’t bother. We've all seen this type of anime many times before, so yes, this is exactly what you think it is. Firstly, story. It follows the premise of “born without skills in a magical world but manages to become the strongest being ever through hard work.” The pacing is nonexistent, as the show progresses at breakneck speed. In fact, this one season is basically two seasons, as the story “splits” in the middle, and every character, skill, relationship, an…

TL;DR: It’s bad, very bad. An anime with an interesting premise that gets thrown in the trash in favor of telling the story as fast and as sloppily as possible. Characters: None of them stand out. The protagonist is one of the worst I’ve seen in years. No personality, no charisma, no emotions. He’s just an overpowered guy who goes around learning skills. He shows no emotion when he learns abilities or when he interacts with other characters, not even as comic relief. Out of all the side characters that appear (and there are quite a few), only Raina, Lilia, and the pet demon show any kind of charisma. But this is wasted because after the first arc Lilia never appears again, Raina only shows up in the occasional random cameo, and the pet demon appears only in the last episodes. I won’t e…

This is a pretty good adaptation of the manga. This anime is definitely not for everyone. All the characters have extremely surface level writing, with one personality and no worldbuilding, like it just throws things at you: So this thing happens, also this thing exists, and this thing too! Oh right! this also exists, and this other thing exists! The powerscaling in the show is almost nonexistent. At least in other similar shows 'powerful' characters show skills that befit their ranking, but most of the fights in this end with mc doing one move and they're finished. If you're looking for action in this manga, you won't find it. Don't get me wrong here, I enjoyed the show, not because it was good or anything, but because of just how bad it was. There's plenty to criticize, and if you, li…

Just another in the long line of anime about an overpowered MC who is seen as weak for some clerical reason but is actually strong, and in fact, the strongest. Generally, I'm pretty mid about these kinds of shows, but this one missed the mark on two fronts, prompting the "not recommended": 1. The premise of the show is that the MC, Arel, is born without natural talents but instead works hard. Yet, except for the first episode, he never seems to work hard and relies on his undisclosed natural talent to learn any skill. It's weird, throughout the series, he says he is "skilless," but he uses tons of skills. The show constantly contradicts itself to the point where it could be a drinking game. 2. The reason you watch the overpowered MC show is to get the thrill of the spectacle of watching…

Hero Without a Class: Who Even Needs Skills?! (5/10) fairly basic power fantasy mostly with a kuudere battle junkie like main character with is somewhat unique. basically just follows him around as he searches for people with cool strong classes to fight them see there cool skills and learn them himself. Some spoilers bellow not much, by the end he is on the level of his father one of the best mages in the world and his mother who likely is the best swords fighter in the world along with having a bit of beast taming with a powerful slime and demon as his pets. there is likely already no one that can truly fight him though that was the case when he just know how to sword fight but they do get around this somewhat by having him decide to only use relevant skills on relevant people, like h…

If you are looking for generic power fantasy, and don't mind boring characters, then this show is passable. There are some interesting choices with pacing and since it manages to get relatively far in the 12 episode run, you won't be left aching for a second season. The plot wraps up fairly neatly with both of his parents' fields being tackled. The main allegory of the story, that the systems imposed on people actually limit their thinking by giving them easy access to "skills", but prevent them from learning why those skills work, is an interesting premise that quickly becomes a repeated plot point allowing the MC to perform miraculous feats only possible in RPGs as if they are simple tricks. It makes sense in world and is explained in the latter half of the story somewhat plausibly why h…

This anime works well as a metaphor for how innate abilities can narrow one’s perspective and ultimately limit what a person can achieve. Beyond that philosophical angle, it is a fairly generic power-fantasy anime with average art, animation, and story. What makes it entertaining, however, is the fast plot progression—new developments happen constantly, which keeps the series engaging. The main character is also fairly well balanced (even if a bit too mature for his age) and avoids fully falling into overused tropes and clichés. Many similar anime would have stretched the same material over two seasons, padding it with boring fan service and recycled clichés, often featuring a protagonist who feels like a cheap Kirito clone. While this MC is clearly somewhat inspired by Kirito, he still f…

Here's what you need to know, this anime is "generic isekai/fantasy of the season" and if you are not into that, just skip this show. This anime is strictly for people who like to watch generic isekai trash, and the show never pretends to be anything more. Plot MC, the child of a strong mage and swordmaster, is born without a class in a world where most people have a class. You can think of class as innate "talent", with pre-installed "skills", allowing people to succeed in the respective field. Don't worry though, because MC will still be able to do everything that others can, by just practicing. The story is MC just training in various class professions, and becoming stronger. Review MC just goes to city of X (where X is magic, sword etc.), learns X, becomes overpowered in X and then,…

The Hero without class? Let me introduce you to the classless show. Straight-forward, no nonsense plot, getting the job done without the slightest bit of finesse or intricacy. Yeah! I’m here for It. This show is an adventure built for short binge sessions. I completed it in 4 sessions and I definitely recommend it to fantasy enthusiasts. It’s slightly nostalgic with it’s lack of regard for the modern sensibilities, which I couldn’t help but crack a smile. Oh and when I heard you heard some of the backing music they chose for the fights, I was overflowing with goosebumps. I thought I had something open in the background, it sounded straight out GBA/DS Era Pokemon games. As for the OP/ED they sound familiar but they’re a blast all the same. The soundtrack by Kent Asahina who also did "No…

This show has all the hallmarks of a terrible power fantasy. MC that's made out to be incredibly weak but ends up being OP. Every character he meets thinks he's a loser and then is massively surprised by how strong he is over and over again. Just based on that I should no recommend this show. HOWEVER It has a weirdly cozy vibe and got more than one belly laugh out of me. It genuinely subverted my expectations a handful of times. And the pacing was so incredibly fast that I never found myself getting bored. I found the side characters mostly charming/funny even though they all fawn over the MC. I'm putting this show into the category of 'so bad that it becomes good.' 10/10 cozy slop show. Don't watch if you want an actual story or character development though.

My normal rating for this would be around a 3, but on a trash-anime scale I’d give it a 6. This one is basically comfort food for trash-anime enjoyers. It’s actually pretty entertaining if you have nothing better to do, but it’s also as generic as it gets. The show follows the classic formula where the same situations repeat themselves within a single season, often in the same places with the same characters. At least the animation isn’t completely terrible like in some other trash fantasy anime, it’s serviceable, nothing impressive, but also not painful to watch. The whole “MC is missing something everyone else has, gets mocked for it, and then absolutely destroys everyone” setup is always kind of funny at first. But let’s be honest, you get at least three shows like this every single…

This anime was not quite as good as I was hoping, but it was cuter and had its moments. As a fantas yenjoyer, it was nice seeing a show that isn't a isekai, so it will get some bonus points for that. However I felt as though the world lacked much creativtiy, the entire world felt not very fleshed out, with the entire premise of the show, the classes, not really ever being explained properly, can people changes classes? how does that work? But the fantasy vibe wasnt the only issue I had, the entire plot lacks any depth. The show is split in two, half swords half magic, and nothing is really developed. The show sort of wastes your time for sure, maybe watch on 2x speed. A decent fantasy with good lovable characters, but not much below the surface. Watch it if you just want some cheap fun.…

I'll be honest, I expected more from this although I probably shouldn't have. The premise is simple and it's actually where things first fall apart, people get blessings where they gain a class and with that the skills needed to go with it come into their head making it easy for them to be strong with pretty much no effort. So enter the MC who is classless and is able to overcome this issue and gain skills by... applying himself and repeated training... no that's it, nothing special nothing amazing, no hidden class or trial or anything, he just goes about things what we'd consider the 'normal' way and trains to be good and everyone is shocked by this. So there are quite a few issues here as soon as you start to think about this and pick it apart, so I have to chalk this up to bad writing…

Generic Hero Slop is a good name for it, but it has combined the good features of the genre/style and made it into something unique to the others. A really fast pace tied to it with a few more timeskips than usual. Its really dense predictable which doesn't need to be a bad thing and has this slapstick humor. basically all of this is tied to the style so its not really new information but the anime is just one of the best in that regard. the imporovements all lie within the problem that you cant put the idea of the story into 12 episodes without sacrifices. Which is also a problem of the genre but here its just a bit more problematic.
