Now, now, I know you're just looking at my score on this anime and going like, "What the hell is wrong with this guy?! What a weirdo!" But first, let me clarify. You, the other person on the other side of this screen, who's probably watched countless animes and dove deep in the rabbit hole and found this anime, You forgot that "Anime", is fiction. That's all there is to it, ANIME is fiction. Will you see an incredibly petite brown-haired girl named Taiga doing roundhouse kicks and knocking people out? No. ANIME is fiction, therefore it's not real. It will never be real, it's impossible to be real, only an entertainment that helps convey feelings to people emotions that they've never felt.

Did anyone honestly think they would allow an actual incest ending in this non-hentai anime? I swear the only place you could really get away with going through on that sort of thing is a visual novel, light novel or hentai OVA. You'd never get away with it broadcast anime, not even in DVD specials. I hate OreImo now. Not because I'm opposed to their little incestuous relationship, but because it doesn't make any sense. It came completely out of nowhere and if you think it didn't then you're the problem. He was in a perfectly happy and healthy relationship with the other girl until he decided to be a degenerate and break up with her for his actual blood-related sister. I'm not mad about the incest, I'm mad he broke up with her at all. It doesn't make sense. He clearly liked her, and their…

This is my first time writing a review, and apparently, the guidelines mentioned not to write any spoilers. However, I would still explore a bit of the Oreimo story since it is what made me like this Anime so much. In life, especially for youth, normally people would want to have a good outlook in life, a better future, goals, and etc. However, everything would not always go well in life. Sometimes we have regrets, and sometimes those regrets would haunt us for the rest of our life. I particularly like the kind of animes that taught us the morality of life, specially targeted for youth. They taught us a very important thing about life growing up: to not have regrets for the future. In Oreimo, it is displayed through the relationship between Kyosuke and Kirino throughout the series. The…

===================== This review might contain spoiler? ===================== ====================================================== I regret watching it, I wish i left it at s2 and read the manga instead. It was a waste of time, literally. Who even thought it was a good idea to make this? Why the fuck did he refuse to date anyone that confessed to him? Siblings dating, heck marrying each other is wrong in so many levels. ''oH BuT sOmE pEoPlE aRe LiKe ThAt In ReAl LiFe!!!!!!!'' Yes but that doesn't change the fact that it's WRONG. I liked s1, s1 ona and s2 but this? No. Would i recommend watching it? No. Just drop it after s2. ======================================================

oreimo is one of my favorite animes i have ever seen the first 2 season were solid i like the story , i like the characters , the soundtrack is amazing ( having different endings every chapter is awesome) , overall the anime is good and charming , the ending however can be mmm i will not say anything about it. what i like about this anime is that i really enjoy the characters and the progression of them , kirino at first was really mean to his brothers like 100% tsun no dere but eventually things go well , the sister brother relationship they developt is really meaningful and charming , i think some arcs shouldve a little bit longer though because i want to see more interactions between the characters like the ayase arc , kuroneko arc , etc *spoiler final words* but as i will say her…

TLDR for this show: Watch a MC have character development and learn about himself and then throw it all away because the author has weird fantasies (while we villainize the only character who acts rationally). And for some reason everyone is ok with it If you were feeling iffy while watching the show like me but kept going to see what happens with all the characters, just stop. Its not worth it. Live in blissful ignorance and end at episode 13 like I wished I had *All spoiler filled* This is honestly just a rant so feel free to ignore it, it is also mostly stream of conscious so probably not grammatically correct either: See when I finished episode 13 of season 2 my first thought was to ask you if they always planned to release the last 3 episodes or if they had decided to add it since…

Hello. It has been a long minute since I have watched OreImo. But the entire anime is still vivid in my memory. Maybe because of how bad it was. As someone who doesn't believe in abhorrent anime too, OreImo comes close to one. The entire anime was truly boring to sit through and just didn't have any substance in which would make it somewhat decent. Discluding Ruri of course, and a few others. Maybe the animation too. But the thing that really got me the most was the ending of the anime. Partially why I am writing this review. From a thread, I saw yesterday, to a literal shower thought, I come here. But that is not the point. The point is the bad ending and bad anime. There is no point to the ending. Literally zero. I don't even know what to write anymore. You would think that after the…

Honestly, this anime was a breakthrough for me. I kept having this disgusting feeling of siblings actually going out and doing all that, but why? It was just an arbirary value society, whatever that is, instilled into us. In the end, we are all an random amalgamation of elementary particles with a macroscopic wavefunction, only working to temporarily reverse entropy in accordance with the 2nd law of thermodynamics. We should be able to do whatever the fuck we want, obviously as long as it doesn't infringe on the wellbeing of any other entropy reversing 3-d region of space. So, those siblings should have been allowed to date, go out with each other, get married, have sex (obviously safely), and do whatever the fuck they want. Incest is surely not normal, but we should be able to recognise i…

They Done fucked it up with the last 3 episodes. The MC screwed over 3 likable characters all with likable traits along with some that are garbage. However none compare to the absolute burning Heep of trash that is Kirino. Holy fucking hell, never have I hated such an entitled little shit ever in anime. Im probably glancing over a few but never have I been so repulsed every single time she opened that fucking mouth of hers. Kyousuke doesnt get any nice treatment too. I know the premise of the story is suppose to be incest, but god damn he deserves to be curb stomped. Overall, I wish i never saw this mound of absolute shit.

I realize that it is almost useless to write a review for a show that aired quite a few years ago, I just had an urge to fix up some misunderstandings that could have come from the ending. Before I talk about the controversial ending and spoilers, for newcomers just trying out the show probably because of its reputation, this is where all the factors come into play during these 3 episodes. You will find that the episodes were all leading up to this end and if people tell you not to watch the entire ending because of its common misunderstanding I would suggest the opposite. I will keep this short and hopefully clear up people's overall look on the series. (SPOILERS (MISS INTERPRETED ENDING)) -- Please read next part after watching to understand :D After seeing the ending and the promise f…

Things fall apart. Few endings have attracted more ire from fans than this one, and for good reason. Not only is the choice for Kirino and Kyousuke to form a couple utterly bewildering, but every other character in the series gets the short end of the stick to make it happen. Truthfully, the more I think about this ending the more things I find about it to hate. I hate the way Kanako’s feelings for Kyousuke were shoehorned in out of nowhere. I hate the way Manami is treated as the villain despite doing nothing wrong. I hate the apathetic manner that Kyousuke approaches the whole affair. And above all, I hate hate hate the way this ending will forever taint my positive memories of the rest of the series. Reading through my second Oreimo essay, it astonishes me that I was able to accept thi…

*Contains My anger, bad words and spoilers* now are the creators really f*cking kidding with second season, if you wanted to end it this way then why the fuck in the first place to turn it like that. lets start with overview, this season continues after when Kyousuke brings her sister back to home from America and their normal life continues, just like the season 1 they fight then make it up, Kyousuke helps her sister and also her friends, and their little otaku group. Things are going good. their normal life is going on as they are having fun, then in one episode Kyousuke and Kirino fighting over having boyfriend and girlfriend. and Kirino fakes that she has a boyfriend. Just looking this episode i knew that where this feelings are coming from and how they are going to end. of-course i…

-This review is long.- I don't often feel the need to write reviews, this is my second one after seven years on this website, so take heed: These last three episodes are probably the worst I have ever seen in any anime, ever. I have watched a lot of anime, obviously not as much as many people out there, but I have watched all sorts from almost every genre. At this point I feel as though I have some (subjective) grasp on what constitutes an enjoyable anime, and every fiber of my being screams out that this is not it. This is not enjoyable. In fact, it quite literally ruined what came before it. I cannot help but look back at all the time I spent watching this series as lost, no, wasted, time. I hate that. I hate that the second season and these three episodes in particular made me feel that…

So my review here will try to not focus so much on the main series, just simply these three ONA's. Now, immediately breaking that rule I wanna preface this by saying that the final episode essentially undid all the work the previous season and even previous two episodes had set up for it. With that out of the way, this unfortunately creates a bit of a conundrum. While I'll avoid spoilers, the shows seems to want to shove both last second character development in the form of sudden love interests (I'll just say it's related to the Meruru scene). Additionally, it finally brings previous love interests from the previous seasons to the forefront and actually brought in a confrontation that we'd been waiting to see the entire time. Immediately, this is undercut by going back on the whole reas…

**** SPOILER FREE **** (sort of) I will only write this short The series as a whole was amazing and very enjoyable the art was great and the music and soundtracks were amazing and the story was well written and characters were relatable and well made with good backgrounds and build ups in the two seasons and all the OVA's and ONA's but the ending is shit and an insult to the fanbase of the manga and the novel no question about it and it made me really wanna rip my hair out of my head since it just ruined all the build up in the other seasons. So should you watch this show? absolutely its great alltough as Omegasiets said stop watching at 21 minutes and 12 seconds in the final episode of this ONA and spare yourself the suckerpunch the studio gives you. And as a side note about why i gav…

[unspecific and ambiguous spoilers] It was so close to being a good anime, after the torrent of abuse that was season 1, season 2 impressed me. I actually started liking kirino in the last few episodes, and came to terms with all the other ships sinking. But then came the last straw. If this anime faded to credits at 21 minutes, and 12 seconds, it would have been okay. There would have been unanswered questions, sure, but it would have been a trillion times better than what came after. That is, by far, the single worst written ending I have EVER seen in my life, and probably will not be topped. You made me go through so many sunken ships, so many moments where I had to physically walk away from my this anime to try and understand how stupid this MC is in season one, and then finally, ther…

Oh god, where to start? I hate to admit it, but most of the reviewers that say you shouldn't watch this or it will ruin the series were right, at least where I am concerned. I honestly did not like the rushed ending of the second season, despite me enjoying where it was going all until before the last episode. When he had his final encounter with Ayase is when the series just began to tank. Kyo breaking up again with Ruri, a second time(?), was ridiculous due to so many reasons. Their relationship was enough to make him cry in the second season, yet he basically crushes her hopes for no reason and completely flip-flops, making the entire "ruri-arc" disingenuous at best. That is only one of the plethora of problems within the first episode and a half of this "ending" I suppose the direct…

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS HEAVY SPOILERS It's really laughable that modern anime fans always whine that modern anime have no depth while themselves can't even comprehend anime like Oreimo. I can imagine these 3 episodes will definitely piss off a lot of fans (as it is a 100% Kirino ending), but I really appreciate how well-executed this ending (or the whole series) is. Enjoyment The enjoyment can be vastly difference for people from different cultural background and having different preferences on characters of the story. I personally enjoy it because I like incest. Honestly I would be disappointed if the writer didn't go with the title. Sound and Art Excellent voice acting, god-like sound track and a new ed every episode, musics of Oreimo is outstanding as always. Art wasn't anything espe…

Don't think many hasn't watched this yet but this contains spoilers. This is my first time to write a review here, the main reason is this is one of my favorite light novels and shows and the reviews I've seen are somewhat different than what i think but around the same point. The show itself is handled great in presentation as was the whole run but the story was butchered due to ideas and believes that was not from the creator himself. Its not new with the same happening to other shows and manga most prominently probably Bleach and shows like Lost. I understand the point of shelf life, marketability, and the PC bullshit that happens in entertainment, but the creators should be able to have a cohesive beginning and closure that at least make sense. The story ends with Kirino and Kyous…

SPOILER~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This to me is not Canon. By no mean am i basing this review on the ending route but solely by the logic that the director decided to take. It doesn't make sense and even Kirino tells Kyousuke that in the end he's going to be left with nothing and that's what he gets left with. In the end Kyousuke gets left with him marrying Kirino for what like 3 years? and then they would end the relationship. Doesnt make sense with how the whole story was going, every one of the girls confess their feelings in a very sensible way unlike most romances/harems with the sole reason of just cause plot. Sure i get that the ending was supposed to be full on incest from what i read online (never read the Manga) and that the producers didn't want to let the whole…
