This series as a whole really touch me in a sense. Which I myself to think about it pretty much a lot, just a bit yap for a reflection regarding flaws of myself and to mind others and such.
The Yap:
I hate people as an obstruction from my self to grow, but then i think to my self was i needed to grow as a person? if i my self was perfect as a person as it is. To think of someone to pursue perfectness, to become better, to become someone who think highly of himself. In which cases they themself just need for a reason to there and somewhich doesnt even felt like it was there.
In needless pursue of happiness every person have to be something in other persons life and to be good at it, but what if he wasnt? What if he didnt want to be good at it? Can someone be great in a relationship when…

This is literally gods gift to this world for anyone who got this far into the show. They know it after going through the trenches of nisemonogatari's "schrodingers in**st".
Most unique chet people would see with their own eyes
How this entire series not being categorized as avant garde is beyond anyone and the goat Nisioisin himself
For those who know the major weakness of this series being the diddyblud pedophilic stuff and STILL stuck through it knew the hidden potential ts had
There will never be a more divided fanbase than this: the half that only watch ts to goon like the criminals they are and the soldiers who can experience the blessed miracle of shaft at their peak nvm they still at their peak
This isnt even the end for this series. what other show u kno that got a soft ending l…

As an entry of this series, Owarimonogatari Second Season takes everything that makes the franchise special, such as the dialogue, psychological depth, character writing, emotional storytelling, and unique presentation, and delivers all of it at a very high level from start to finish. As a sequel, it continues with our main focus being on one of the best character dynamics in the series. The journey to this point is the culmination of everything the series had been building toward for years, making its payoff feel earned for our main character and the rest of the cast. Visually, it looks the same as previous entries in the series, having great and unique direction from Studio Shaft. The pacing fits well with the remaining three arcs, with the season being seven episodes long. The soundtrac…

Owarimonogatari 2nd season is the final, conclusive ending to Araragi Koyomis adolescence life, wrapping everything up cleanly in one of the most satisfying endings in anime.
The journey you get to up to this point is 100% what makes this season so much more impactful. The way in which Nisio Isin mixed up the timeline to really make you think about what character motivations and plot points are relevant in certain points of time add so much depth, nuance and just plain fun in piecing together all the bits of the puzzle up to this point.
In fact, this "final" season isn't even the present day in the timeline up to this point in the LN release order; its Hanamonogatari from 4 seasons ago! Creating those gaps makes everything have such a satisfying click if you really invest yourself up to…

Monogatari a work that should be only for the gods of Olympus. A work that should not be in the human realm, a true universal gem. I always say that the only thing I regret about Monogatari is not having seen it before. As for Owarimono, it is by far the best arc or season along with Kizu, Ougi is simply a spectacular character and my favorite of Monogatari. But I repeat, this work is so good that it should not be in the human realm. I feel like we have something that belongs to the gods hahahahaha. Anyway, long life for all eternity to Godnogatari

Shaft's 2017 follow-up to the supernatural anime drama, Monogatari, season one, is a seven-episode series that comprises three story parts, namely "Mayoi Hell," "Hitagi Rendezvous," and "Ougi Dark." However, it is important to note that to enjoy this series fully, one must have a working knowledge of the entire Monogatari franchise and its characters.
Although the show has pretensions to be a cult classic and revels in its enigma, all criticisms of season one are still valid in this follow-up. The conversations are whimsical and sometimes wildly off-topic, delivered in the fashion of a stage play, and the dialogues are endless, mysterious, and frustrating for viewers wishing for the story to progress. The show's language and meaning are hard to interpret, making it difficult to track what…

If you are one of the three people that have been reading my Monogatari reviews you might have noticed that each one of them more or less reflected my impressions about them, thus Bakemono’s was a setup for what was coming next, Nisemono’s was very short and without much content, while Neko: Kuro and Second Season got a much more detailed one to explain everything I thought about them. Meanwhile Hana and Tsuki got one closer to the one of the second series, and I bashed Koyomi as it rightfully deserves.
So, in true Monogatari fashion, let me go back to something I wrote right at the beginning of my Kizumonogatari review:
“Ah, fucking finally, the one entry that chronologically starts it all, and it focuses a lot on Araragi and Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade, who so far remaine…

It's my first 10/10 for the Monogatari series, and I've got to say--this season really deserves it. I'm not sure if it's the fact that everything comes to a head in this season or the fact that everything was so concise and neat, but I loved everything about the second season of Owarimonogatari. The easiest thing to talk about is the balance of this season, which was amazing--the story didn't lean too heavily on the dramatic because of the few episodes that occurred in the middle (no spoilers), and that, I feel, is a big improvement on a few of the earlier installments of the Monogatari series. Pacing is super important to me as a viewer, so I was happy to see that everything was balanced nicely this season.
Character development and relationship developments are the two things most peopl…

9/10. Owarimonogatari, End Story, the final movement and culmination of the monogatari series - supposedly. It’s taken me almost two years to get here from Bake, and the ride was truly worth my devotion, time, and thought. Love it or hate it, you just got to admit that it’s one-of-a-kind. And an experience that you should experience.
Brilliant minds, unconventional directing, years of experience and refinement. The art styles have come a long way from Bakemonogatari’s tighter-constrained palettes, and though it isn’t Violet-level art that’ll leave you in tears, or Rengoku level animation that’ll leave you suspended in awe, it retains that classic monogatari charm. The character designs are a lot stronger with stronger palettes and more consistent models; backgrounds and odd out of charac…

THIS IS A SPOILER-FREE REVIEW
In june of 2021 i started watching the Monogatari-Series with Bakemonogatari. Although it is the 3rd entry in the series chronologically, it came out first, back in 2009 and is considered to be the best starting point for new viewers. However, right after the first few minutes passed i was completely confused. "Why is the artstyle so weird?" , "Why does a flash of text appear between two scenes?" ,"What is going on with the narrator?" and "Why is the first scene a panty-shot?". Im sure i am not the only one who got confused here. This is the most unique show i have ever seen and i´ll try to explain how my confusion turned into excitement!

Owarimonogatari Season 2 delivers a satisfying conclusion to the Monogatari saga. Even if Zoku Owarimonogatari didn't exist (and it's more of an epilogue anyway), I would be fine with this being the ending to the series as it ties all loose ends in a way that I think most fans will be happy with. This time around there are three story arcs; Mayoi Hell, Hitagi Rendezvous and Ougi Dark.
Mayoi Hell, as depressing as the title sounds, is a pretty wholesome story where Koyomi reflects on his choices throughout his interactions with the girls in his life. Some interesting and important story stuff happens too, but I'll refrain from spoilers.
Hitagi Rendezvous is my least favorite arc in this season. It's mostly about Koyomi and Hitagi going on a date, so very little happens story-wise. It's a…

The final chapter of Monogatari that beautifully showcases how far the cast has come from their initial points. The story is more of the same that you would come to expect from this series, lots of poetic and philosophical dialogue fill up the majority of the episodes and as always it is ridiculously engaging. The main arc revolves around Araragi learning and confronting Ougi which made for some of the best moments in the entire series. As each season progressed the art and animation only became crisper and more expressive, every frame was a pleasure to look at. The directing of this series has always been impressive. The soundtrack fits perfectly with every scene it was in, utilizing many tracks from previous seasons, the opening particularly for Ougi Dark was stupidly good as well. The c…

I'm not gonna cover the whole monogatari series or anything here, I just want to complain about how much I didn't like the ending somewhere. And the reasons why I didn't like the ending aren't even limited to owarimonogatari, but even issues throughout the whole show.
Ok so I think a lot of people come to this show for its unique form of direction and storytelling, which I quite enjoy, but holy fuck is it flawed. This show heard the "show don't tell" rule, and tried to ignore it as much as it possibly can. It's SO TIRESOME, even if the content is interesting. I don't wanna hear these characters talk about shit, I wanna see them DOING something, which does happen, but not anywhere near as much as it should. Like they'll talk for 2 or more episodes straight and use a fuck ton of words that…

Whoo boy, I'm almost at the end. Monogatari Series has taken up my watching time basically non stop, excluding airing shows that I was watching, for the past month, as well as another half a month where I watched the first season (barring the Kizu trilogy because I watched it slightly out of order). With Owarimonogatari 2nd being the end of the main story of the series (this is based on my assumption that Zoku Owarimonogatari will be more of a side story, which I feel confident in assuming due to how nicely it wrapped things up) I think my long journey has mostly reached its end. And what a great journey it was.
The three arcs of this set surprisingly are in a very linear order. How very un-Monogatari-ey. Regardless these were some good arcs, I still feel that it wasn't as good as the ori…

Today, I'm going to be reviewing the conclusion to my favorite anime series of all time. Usually, I just go ahead and talk about everything at once, but today I'm going to format this review differently. Today I'm going to rate every episode individually, and talk about the plot of each of them. So lets get into it.
Episode 1 - Mayoi Hell (Part 1):
This is the beginning of Owarimonogatari 2nd season, and it starts off strong. We see our main character, Koyomi Araragi, searching for the eccentric Mayoi Hachikuji, a ghost of a 10 year old hit by a car 10 years ago. During his search, he ends up in hell, and finds who he's looking for there. After an explanation from Hachikuji about her circumstances and everything else Araragi wants to know,…

tl;dr: An ending that ties together everything built up over the course of the franchise quite well, but that suffers from already having been built up to too much.
Owarimonogatari feels a lot like the ending to Monogatari. I know there’s Zoku Monogatari after this, but I have no idea how that’ll go as this season seems to resolve essentially everything that needed to be resolved, reveal all the big twists that needed to be revealed, and complete Araragi’s character arc. This season is seven episodes with three arcs. The first is heavily plot centered and spends most of it’s time simply revealing plot related information on what had already occurred in addition to setting up plot elements to be used in the future, though it does manage to highlight how much Araragi was still Araragi even…

After a few months of watching Monogatari, I finally came to the second season of Owarimonogatari. And what an experience it was. There was everything I loved about this series, complex story, great music and characters and extensive but interesting dialogues. The only problem for some people can be the pace at which first episodes go, so it might be a problem for some people, at least at the beginning I think.
But the second season of Owarimonogatari has one thing that it does exceptionally well is the conclusion. It is a beautiful conclusion to the overall series.
So in my opinion, it is a great conclusion to the series, great anime but a little bit too fast-paced for some people. But besides that, for me at least, it was just perfect, as the anime, and as the part of Monogatari series…

Finally, a conclusion to the adventure of araragi koyomi and his fellow friends.
I started this series at the start of this winter vacation, and I have to say, it really was a mind blowing experience. Owarimonogatari is the final story of the monogatari series, and it does it's job of summing everything up very well.
The introduction to the new character: Ougi Oshino was a way for araragi to finally confront his own weaknesses, as well as finally maturing and caring for himself.
Without going into spoilers, Ougi is in a sense used as a plot device for araragi to truly realize the words of Meme oshino from the very begining of this series. "The only people that can help you is yourself" The second season of Owarimonogatari truly takes the theme of self appreciation and love to transfo…

Originally I was only planning to watch Bakemonogatari because it was recommended to me saying it is like Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai. I did not expect after a few months I would watch the whole series and finally reach this point that I am just in awe of the trip I have taken.
If this was the end, then the journey was worth it because the destination is beautiful. Though the whole series is far from perfect, as it has it's weaker season but overall, majority of them were amazing. This basically concludes everything we have seen and neatly wraps it all up with the one person we have seen the whole time.
Obviously you have to be a fan to reach this far, because if you aren't, I don't know why you would even bother to watch this just to hate on it. Since this is like the v…

Owarimonogatari 2 is, for all intents and purposes, one of the best conclusions to a story I've seen in media.
There's something about this conclusion that's just different from others. With most series that end, there's that sense of "Emptiness" you feel. If you can describe that feeling with a phrase, it would be, "I wish it never ended.". However, Monogatari's conclusion does not instill that feeling in me, contrary to other anime's out there. Its ending leaves me completely satisfied, and with a smile on my face. I have no regrets, and I can move on from the series without any trace of sadness, which coincidentally, is also this season's theme.
After a long running 8 years of Monogatari, the story of Koyomi Araragi finally comes to a close. Themes, narrative, and character motives a…
