Remake Our Life!

Remake Our Life!

Introduction

Life is not going well for 28-year-old Kyouya Hashiba. Having left his office job to pursue a career in the video game industry, his internship at a popular game studio abruptly ends, leaving him unemployed and forcing him to move back in with his parents. Additionally, his jealousy toward the success of the "Platinum Generation"—a group of similarly-aged creators—has caused him to regret his decision to attend a traditional university instead of an arts college. Even though he believes there are no second chances in life, Kyouya is suddenly given one when he wakes up one day and finds himself 10 years in the past. Instead of choosing business school like he originally had, Kyouya decides to pursue his passions and attends the Oonaka University of Art. There, he meets classmate Eiko Kawasegawa, the woman who had hired him as an intern in the present, alongside his new housemates and future Platinum Generation members: underachieving artist Aki Shino, aspiring singer and actress Nanako Kogure, and naturally-gifted writer Tsurayuki Rokuonji. With each project they complete together, Kyouya and his friends venture closer to discovering their true potential as creators and remaking their lives into the ideal versions they desire. Well. I will say this is a very good anime of university life. I really recommend it if you aprecciate intertextuality between animes because you can see here a lot or references(in a chapter they literally made a cover of God Knows of Suzumiya Haruhi no Juutsu and i was about to cry because this was my first anime ten years ago). I´ll say that the only real problem i have found here is the shortness and how fast the anime goes, because i think there are a lot of situations that need more time in screen to show the espectator how the anime deal with the problems but it simply make some cuts and now the situation is solved so i think that could be problematic, but the rest is a very good anime and i deeply wish that we could have a second season of it.

When life gets hard wouldn’t it be nice to get a reset? Yes yes it would and this is what happened in the show. However going back and changing everything doesn’t always make your life any better in the long run. Thats basically the plot of this show and it was really good showing this message to people I did enjoy it I liked the characters story and the lesson of better the devil you know. I did enjoy the fact that the mc wanted to go back to change his life changed his life and then realised it’s worse for his friends came back and did it again for his friends so it was very good character development. It’s a good mix if you enjoy adult workplace and high school anime as it does both of these are very good mix it isn’t anything crazy of a show it’s very simple and linear but it works…

Really good anime. Made me thirst for a second season for the first time in many years. Amazingly done. Splendid. Even the Pacing was brilliant. I suggest a good marathon of the 12 episodes, if you can afford the time, it may make you feel as if you are living it. I also think the simplicity and the lack of detailed explanation of each thought of the characters does give you room for imagination. For example without spoiling, at one point I questioned whether another character was also transferred to the past to help our protagonist, which I am sure is not the case, but nevertheless it was quite amusing to simply wonder.

Bokutachi no Remake: A Brilliant Beginning, a Disconcerting Ending Bokutachi no Remake (also known as "Remake Our Life!") is a work that appeals to a universal fantasy: that of having a second chance. The story introduces us to Kyouya Hashiba, a 28-year-old game developer whose company goes bankrupt. Full of regret, he laments not having studied art. He wakes up one morning to find himself ten years in the past, at age 18, as a student at a prestigious art university. With this unexpected second chance, Kyouya sets out to "remake" his life and achieve his dream. The series' greatest strength lies in its universal premise and its characters. The idea of going back in time to mend past mistakes is incredibly appealing, and the anime explores it with a maturity that feels fresh. Kyouya's gro…

I wanted to watch this anime 1 episode per day, to enjoy it slowly, but on the fourth day I just couldn't stop. I must admit that give my opinion on this Anime is weird, for example, I can tell it is one of my favorite anime now (without ranking them), but it's also true that it's objectively a 7/10-8/10 and I have 8 since I liked it so much, even if it's not a masterpiece at all. I don't usually write a review but why I decided to do it and why there are people insulting several aspects of the Anime? Shortly? It's an anime unusually mature. That does not mean that who didn't like it is a child (could be of course), but that started it with the wrong expectations. I love time travel and Isekai themes, and although I had no expectations for this Anime, I anyway constantly wondered how i…

This anime definitely touched my heart. I know it’s not a masterpiece, but the message it tries to convey—about not giving up and following your passions—really resonated with me. I was deeply captivated by it. The characters feel very real and well-developed. At first, I didn’t have high expectations for this series, but as I kept watching, I realized how amazing it truly is. If someone out there is reading this and feels like their life is a bit “stuck,” this anime might just be for you. I genuinely hope everyone who watches this enjoys it as much as I did. (I’m not very good at writing these kinds of things, and my English isn’t great, so sorry if anything sounds a bit off.) IN CONCLUSION: This anime is something that deserves to be seen—whether you end up liking it or not is another…

7/10. It was a good anime. There are some flaws here and there but overall its worth a watch. Characters are explored quite well. The asepct of our main character going back in time and changing things is also an important part which I am glad the show doesn't shy away from exploring. The consequences on the future of the characters he affects directly is quite interesting. Through, I do think our MC is a weak point of the show. I think he lacks a bit of personality. Lack of individuality, I feel. Doesn't help that the girls around him just keep falling for him, despite us not seeing as to why. I would like to see a S2, but I doubt at this point anyone even remembers this show.

Just binged it, feel like i read some of the manga or played a browser/phone game based on it at some point. Giving it a 10/10 for delivering awonderfully cohersive viewing experience and giving me exactly what i wanted from the description it had. Characters were all interesting with a nice mix of incredible talent and interesting flaws, while still managing to mahe them human and relatable. I think if you like slice of life, art, or gamedevelopment, i think it could be an interesting watch. While it has some sad moments it's a rather light mood throughout the show, a lot of smiles and several good laughs. An enjoyable take on time travel aswell, as long as you dont have a need to know how it works

As I say with many anime that I rate highly, this was a great, but flawed, anime. This anime is about what happens if a guy, down on his luck, is able to go back and time and make a different decision at a pivotal moment in their life. It explores the obvious but usually overlooked fact that this change not only affects you, but those you might interact with as well, and the future that you wanted to bring into being might be significantly altered, or even change *entirely*. And this was the aspect of it that I really loved. At the end of the day, this is an anime about redemption, coming to terms with the decisions you make and how they affect others, and also understanding that very few decisions you make in life are irrevocable and even bad decisions can be, if not erased, then at le…

I'm still reeling from the emotional rollercoaster it took me on when I finished this anime. This anime literally made me cry at the end - I'm talking uncontrollable, snotty tears. I fell in love with the main characters, Kyoya Hashiba and Eiko Kawakami. Kyoya's struggles to find his place in the world resonated so deeply with me, and Eiko's quirky charm won my heart. Their relationship development was perfection - I shipped them so hard! The supporting cast was amazing too, especially Tsurayuki and Nanako. Their interactions added so much depth to the story, and I loved seeing them grow alongside Kyoya and Eiko. The story is engaging, with twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. And that ending? I did NOT see it coming. I'm still trying to process everything that happened…

This is really one of my favorite anime shows of all times, because I look at the protagonist and feel something like "this is I", and I think many of the people over 25-30 or so will feel the same. This is the story of Kyouya Hashiba, a 28 year old game developer, or so he wants to be, but the company where he worked, if it can even be called a company, had just gone bankrupt and he finds himself without a job. He thinks about the most popular artists of the time - Akishima Shino, one of the best animators of all times, N@NA, a singer whose shows always sell out, Kawagoe Kyouichi, a very successful writer and novelist. Together they are known as the "platinum generation" - and they're all Kyouya's age! Looking back at his decision he regrets the biggest mistake of his life - back when he…

tl;dr: An anime about trying to become a creator with a surprisingly overpowered protagonist and surprisingly more depth than expected. Bokurema is about the protagonist, Hashiba Kyouya, waking up and discovering he’s been sent ten years into the past, right when he was choosing which college to go to. This was a major turning point in his life, where he had to choose between becoming a generic salaryman, or choosing the riskier option and pursuing a career as a creator. He originally chose the safer option, but came to deeply regret it. Thus when given the option to retry, he of course chooses to go to an arts college. Furthermore, it turns out the share house that he begins living at is full of creators that he admired in the future. Working with them, he hopes to grow to become an amaz…

This is a mild spoiler review in the sense that I want to talk about what this show gets wrong, not what happens. You can't watch this show with the standard expectations of an anime, which is made all the worse by some of the tired tropes that it throws at you. Not only that but the story has major issues that begs belief. In order for this to be enjoyable, you simply have to accept that the premises are flawed and that it suffers from contrivances. Imagine you're sent back ten years to change your life, what would you do? For our protagonist this results in choosing a different education, rather than the safe bet he goes to art school, this time with the knowledge and experiences of his past decade, determined to be a game creator who is part of the 'platinum generation' of talent, the…

Remake Our Life focuses on a struggling video game developer named Kyouya Hashiba finding himself whisked 10 years back into the past when he was enrolled as a college student. This event leads him to encounter and befriend three creative talents whom served as his inspiration in his efforts from the present to become a successful game developer. Remake Our Life offers focus on both the challenges involved with creative projects like movies and video games, as well as the developments of Kyouya and his friends. While focus on creative developments isn’t new with an anime series, Remake Our Life still does a great job believably delving into the challenges involved with planning and development of creative works as Kyouya’s projects often have him in challenging situations that compromise…

I watched this anime because I saw it recommended for people who like ReLife. I LOVED ReLife, and I loved the concept of this anime. However, I thought the anime didn't really stay strong from start to finish like ReLife did. Story - 7 The story starts out really good. I LOVED the first episode. I really liked the next few episodes. But then things started to go downhill. After the first episode, I was like AWESOME, I like the MC and he gets to go back and retry life. This is gonna be a motivating anime, and I am so excited to see him redo his life. In the couple episodes following that, I was having fun. I loved seeing our MC go through college classes, interact with his house-mates, deal with slight problems, find motivation, and work hard. From then on, I felt that the anime didn't…

This is a mixed bag. But it's a bag filled with the things I love. Let me start by saying the show takes 5 episodes to show off what kind of story it's offering. Any reviews from before that are really missing a lot of what the show is. Let's not bury the lead. This show starts off fairly standard but executed very intelligently and slowly it starts to become something very unique. The romance and relationships are mature and complex. We only start out looking trope-y but use that to evolve character, while the plot is something that plays beautiful homage to the time period of '06-'07. This is a show about creatives made by creatives. If you are yourself someone creative I think you'll identify and relate hardcore to the whole thing. That said, I felt from very early on that there is a…

To jump straight into it, the whole time travel thing got handled pretty well, the time traveler in question being Kyouya, didn't lose his matureness nor memories despite going back 10 years, and decision making was that of someone with experience, being the voice of reason in tough situations. Of course later on there is reflection on how time travel can affect the future, both in good and bad ways, which is much better then everything ending happy go lucky with no reflection at all. Although on how the time traveling actually works.... nothing was really explained, so it's up to your imagination more or less. Characters were decent, as I firstly mentioned, the time traveling dude Kyouya kept his matureness, but the rest of the characters actually seemed like teens, decision wise and how…

All of us have looked back on our past and felt unfulfilled. It's natural to regret poor decisions. All of the missed opportunities, people you never met, mistakes you made. If you could change the years you regret the most, would you? Imagine the most generic school harem anime possible: Remake Our Life is what comes to mind. Forgettable character designs, monotonous background music, and archetypal love interests compete for the everyman protagonist. Kyoya, the bland harem hero, is a failed adult who gets a second chance to relive his college years. After getting fired from his dream job at a game company, he mourns his wasted youth. He regrets not enrolling in an art university, then falls asleep. Upon opening his eyes, he is ten years in the past and instantly decides to go to college…

About the Anime, This show captures the live of a 28 year old man who used to be somewhat talented at Creation and arts, however he rejected the art university and goes for a more stable major in business but regrets it as he tends to lose his job / company shuts down his projects and he gets a lay off...etc. he sleeps and suddenly he is back in time for some reason and now he still has to choose what will his major be, this time he sets things right and goes for the art school. The Good, Interesting Focus ---- The world of Creation, photography, script writing, directing, producing and much much more. the show goes through a rather interesting process of a group of students creating some sort of a small movie that should handle all these elements with a decent quality. the time travel f…

I guess I can say that this is okay, not stellar, but it does engage and the story isn't bad. I have mixed feelings about whether somebody will like it better or not, but I can leave it at a 7 and be confident that that's probably mostly right. Something that bothers me and it's just a me thing is the voice actor for the dub on the protagonist. There's just something about him that I can't get past. It's probably partially tied to when he voiced Kyo in Fruits Basket, a show that I really don't like. It's district, smooth and soft, which fits a lot of Slice of Life shows, so I push through because there's a lot of stuff he's in that I really don't mind. This show has a basic premise and is handled fairly well. The story is mostly consistent and the characters fit together really well. I l…
