Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers

Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers

Introduction

An ancient legend states that with the revival of the Demon God, six heroes—the Braves of the Six Flowers—will be chosen by the Goddess of Fate, granting them power to rise up against the fiends attempting to turn the world into a living hell. Adlet Mayer, self-proclaimed "Strongest Man in the World," has arrived at the continent of Piena in hopes of becoming a Brave. Although it doesn't go as smoothly as he had planned, Adlet is ultimately chosen as one of the six heroes shortly after being greeted by Nashetania Loei Piena Augustra, crown princess and fellow Brave. Rokka no Yuusha follows the two as they embark upon their destined journey to fight the Demon God, intending to meet up with their fellow heroes at a small temple outside of the Land of the Howling Demons, the fiends' domain. However, when they finally unite, seven heroes are present, and soon the others begin to suspect Adlet to be a fraud. Now on the run, Adlet must utilize his unique skill set and wit in a fight for his life to identify which member of the group is the true impostor before it's too late! [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Braves of the Six Flowers, where do I even start, probably along the lines of "I was not expecting that!" For the first 3 episodes of the show, you kind of have this mindset on where the show is going. Defeating the demon lord, maybe getting to see some cool fights. But it really sets in around episode 6-7 that this is not the case. By then you're already too far in to turn back. Let me tell you, turning back would be a big mistake. As the show goes on, the more invested you get, trying to figure out who it really is. The pacing pulls you through the episodes quickly, which works well given the mystery at the core of the story, every episode gives you just enough to keep guessing without slowing things down. The characters have some pretty cool designs and good dialogue, and the way sus…

Plot inconsistency, had to dig out the novel because the anime was absolutely horrible. Lo and behold, the novel was worse. The continuities were destroyed, it seems that the author failed to keep track of what happened in the past. It seems like work after work was written for the sake of publishing another book under the command of the publisher than to produce something with quality. This series is a disgrace to literary. I finished the anime and till now can't forget the atrocity of this show. The premise and hook was so promising until every episode dug a bigger grave for itself. They failed to make a lot of the mystery make sense. If you prefer action, just go watch a better action anime and if you prefer mystery, just go watch another mystery anime. This show butchered it on all fro…

Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers follows chosen heroes of the same number on their quest to vanquish an evil that threatens their world. This is a genuine fantasy setting with unique worldbuilding, but featuring an interestingly confounding twist. The mystery is developed and incorporated into the story well, character motivations and changes in perspective make sense, and the details to piece together information are present throughout the anime. The multiple openings and endings were also a nice touch. Unfortunately, besides the fluctuating animation quality, the setup for the second season ruins some aspects. And worse yet, the anime and light novels are indefinitely abandoned.

Cocky anime Batman. What's not to like? MC tells us in <10 minutes he's the strongest, and we immediately see him beat a bunch of mob guards and two top warriors, but instead of some stupidly OP ability or unbelievable strength, he just uses a utility belt packed with poisoned lego, flash grenades, Greek fire (?), and occasionally a simple short sword. The animation is pretty decent. There is some CGI here and there, but it's not as terrible as in most modern series, it's relatively well-integrated (especially for an older series). The fight scenes are surprisingly well-done. Speaking of things I didn't notice... the OST. Didn't stand out so I can't comment on it. Then again, this means that it's not terrible or I would've noticed. Unlike other great anime where every rewatch gives you…

After some time deciding back and forth in my head about whether this was a good mystery or not, I think it is. This anime starts with us seemingly on the cusp of adventure while rest of it takes place in a whodunnit style. It was quite surprising how well it ended up tying itself together in the end though some of the deductions felt like they were out of thin air. Our villain who I shall not name, is quite obvious if you think outside the box and after a certain point you can quite easily find them yourself without thinking. Obviously this small 12 episode season was not intended to be the entire series so some of the characters aren't fully realized but the romance is a little cute and characters such as Hans or Chamot are entertaining character archetypes. Just as there's nothing super…

This is such a fascinating anime. I can definitely see why people are so divided on it. I will say I approached it from the very start knowing that it would become a mystery, so I didn't have that feeling of betrayed expectations like some had, although that's very valid. To put it simply, it's bold, sometimes clumsy, but at it's core, emits so much heart and style, with a solid likeable cast of characters that make it so tense and hard to put down, and easy to overlook it's flaws. And there are a solid amount of them. It has the common mid budget anime problem where they pump all the budget into the first episode (which is utterly beautiful, by the way, and does a great job introducing the world) and then you never see it reach that level again, and by the end it's limping to keep up w…

No spoilers. This anime is a might darker than your typical save the world anime. It's based upon the age-old tale of a party called by destiny to defeat the demon king. However, the path forward is not so simple. it is fraught with subterfuge, chaos, and betrayal. The heroes have had 100 years to prepare for the demon king's revival, but so have the demons. The story is very unique for its class, and the art style is great (very aesthetic, but note that it is darker, so its colour palette is not as bright as other fantasy anime). If you're a fan of darker isekai, or more complex storylines, or you need a break from Konosuba, give this a try.

I never rate anything below a 5, so this is the first. The ending is absolute sewer garbage, worse than a train being derailed by the tracks and crashing off of the highest point of the tallest mountain top, being set ablaze and activating a ripple effect that causes the collision to create all of the worst natural disasters. Episodes 1 through 11 are fine... though the ending of episode 12 - I'd even say half if not all of episode 12 - is the worst ending ever. No wonder there is no 2nd season. It does not deserve a 2nd season. Thank God the novel was dropped.

Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers is often designated "Among Us, the anime", which I have mixed feelings about. It's not necessarily an incorrect description in that the first volume of the light novel, which the anime adapts, sets up the world and characters and then largely focuses on finding the imposter among the group. The core mystery drives the show, has many ups and downs and its biggest twist is not obvious or as easy to predict as many anime "surprises" tend to be. However, there's a core action-focused element of the show as well, and a bigger picture objective (enter the land of demons, destroy the demon god) that has absolutely nothing to do with there being an imposter or any Among Us esque mystery. Ultimately the biggest shortcoming of this anime is that it's clearly unfinish…

This anime is REALLY good, I would recommend it to everyone who likes mystery and/or action anime it gives the vibes of Death Note or Tomodachi Game. There’s a seventh, meaning one of them is a fake. The show’s beautiful jungle setting and clever mystery keep you hooked, and the characters are fun to figure out. It quickly became one of the anime I was really looking forward to… It is interesting how it made this atmosphere that always made people wanting to come back for more, that's what a good mystery does If you’re into fantasy with a bit of a mystery vibe and don’t mind some loose ends it’s a fun watch.

The dialouge from episode 1 on is a bunch of word salad and conversations are exceedingly stupid. Nearly every time there is any explanation, they just stop talking for plots sake. There is little to no character development throughout aside from Adlet. And he is ridiculously annoying. The number of times you hear "strongest man in the whole world" is annoying. It is made to be a joke at one point, but still continues to a point after. As far as mystery, this is terribly written and doesn't end up coming to a full conclusion. It never will in anime land because the first season is a heaping pile of garbage. Every clue or hint at who it is is set up to be a "twist" but could gave easily been explained or looked into if the characters weren't all morons. Oh, and random love at first sight…

Actually, I went in to see this anime without any expectations. I thought I had a normal adventure with some exciting events. But , I had a strange feeling that the mystery classification was there. And when I finished watching it, I was chocked. It's an excellent work. The fact that there was a traitor among them and the possibility of killing them was the best idea in the story, but the characters were also interesting. If you're a fan of mystery, betrayal and unique characters with some action, this anime is what you're looking for. The only negative in this anime is that it's incomplete.

“Rokka no Yuusha” is what happens when You want to write a fantasy mystery but have no idea how to do it organicaly Six people are chosen to be heroes (called braves) with a quest to defeat the demon-god. As proof of that a sigil appears on their bodies. On their way to their enemy land they get trapped in a very elaborate barrier. As a bonus, it would appear there are seven people with the hero crest. One of them is an impostor and possibly someone who wants to stop them in their quest. Yeah. Nothing truly original so let’s just meet the coterie: Adlet Mayer - a self proclaimed “strongest man on earth”. He’s the most generic character You could think of. He’s honest, knowledgeable, gullible and acts before thinking. He has a lot of knowledge about fighting fiends but is a terrible ju…

A burning dumpster that is over valued and over scored. A tediously slow show, with barely anything going on, with lobotomized characters not willing to produce rational decisions and behaving like morons the whole time. Plot that barely moves as nothing happens, with convenient things happening that change character attitudes in a non-believable way. It ends up at a point where things are finally conveniently end up in a conclusion while one character wearing a lot of plot armor tells a tale to other characters that randomly proves things in the proper way and everyone keeps digging out helpful clues to prove the theory (literally behind the scenes where you as a viewer never know about any of that). A crap pseudo intellectual detective show always works in the same manner. It hides any…

Rokka no Yuusha is a bit of an odd anime – it starts like a shounen adventure series, but is actually a locked room mystery. Not only that, it’s set in a fantasy Mesoamerican-inspired rainforest setting. It doesn’t really deliver much on the mystery front, but it was a passable watch nonetheless. Let me start by zeroing in on the mystery aspect. The idea is that seven heroes show up to go and slay the Demon God. The problem is that there are only supposed to be six. Moreover, something happens that turns it into a locked-room mystery where one person definitely appears to have bad intentions. So far, so good. I thought it was a pretty intriguing twist on the “heroes go to defeat the big bad evil guy” trope. There is a lot of interpersonal drama, accusing, blaming, convincing, fighting an…

This was not at all what I expected, and it was really cool. It's a fantasy that takes on the style of an Among Us game with several heroes who all seemingly want the same thing except one of them is lying. It has more layers than a simple "Who's the bad guy?" since it's also a mystery what the purpose of being the fake/spy/impostor is. What I was expecting was a team to gather and journey out to face the Big Bad, so when the mind games continued and I noticed I was more than halfway through I was impressed that, without the overall plot really going anywhere, the anime had managed to keep me engaged and entertained with several plausible options of who the fake/spy/impostor was. Touching briefly on the other things, the action was solid, the fighting abilities of each character were uniq…

I went into this anime not expecting much. Another typical adventure, destroy the demon god/king yada yada yada...little did I know I would stumble upon.... ONE OF THE BEST ANIME OF ALL TIME!!! OF ALL TIME!!!!!! This show has it all. Action. Comedy. Mystery. Adventure. Beautiful waifus. A great and unique plot. First of all, let's talk about the plot. As you've read from the summary already, I can't add much more without spoiling it. Adlet is chosen as one of the Six Braves- he and his comrades go to a temple to meet up to defeat the Demon God, but it turns out there's seven of them, so they have to decide who the fake seventh Brave is. They suspect it's Adlet due to an unfortuante series of events, and the poor fellow has to go on the run all while thinking of a way to clear his accus…

This review does not contain spoilers This was by far one of the best animes I've ever watched. The story is about a prophecy left behind by the saint of the single flower which stated that the demon god she defeated was not dead but when the time comes for the demon to revive, 6 heroes bearing the crest of the single flower will arise to defeat the threat(not a spoiler as this is said the first 3 seconds of the first episode). Now the third generation of the 6 braves unites to defeat the demon god but there is a problem, there are 7 braves Story 10/10 The story as you might have guessed is a mystery about uncovering who is the 7th. I've seen many reviews that say the story is bad because of how the mystery, the characters and their actions lead to the conclusion. However I believe the…

Full of the most ridiculous twists I've ever seen and towards the ending just starts to feel like a parody. I could say there was potential with the story, but no, the author clearly cannot write a mystery without relying on complete asspulls. It's a shame because some of the characters, especially the main character, were likeable. Soundtrack isn't anything too memorable and doesn't really stand out in any scenes. It serves its purpose and isn't annoying. The second opening is a banger though. Artstyle looks good but starts to degrade in quality very quickly with worse image and disfigured faces. Every monster and spell is also made in very ugly 3D but as the fight scenes aren't really the main point it shouldn't be too much of an issue. Even if it does look terrible when it appears.

Amogus anime hhhhhh... only good at the beginning of the story.. from the middle of the season the story gets bad.. out of the original context but As for the art, it's pretty good. In fact, you could say I like this type of art.. very suitable for fantasy and adventure type anime.. the voice actor is also very good.. the average is filled by famous voice actors.. the only problem in this anime is that the story is long-winded and out of context.. for those of you who hope for a happy ending or a climax ending like most adventure and fantasy anime.. you will not get it in this anime.. because at first I hoped so too.. and the result disappointed me
