Saiki K is a really funny anime. It doesn't take itself seriously which makes it funnier. The character at first sight seem just like cardboard cutouts but they actually have quite a lot of soul. Every episode is split to 4 stories and every story has different plot. Saiki is a really relatable and funny main character, he almost never smiles but reacts to the stupid things the other characters do. Saiki K being the pronounciation of the word "psychic" is fun too. Saiki being the most overpowered person in the world but him being an introvert and him only getting joy from coffee jelly is comedic as well. Side cast, even though they are very tropey, having this much character is awesome and every comedy should make their characters like this.
Great show must watch.

I often find myself coming back to this anime whenever I'm stressed; even with me having a general gist of what's happening in each episode, it still makes me crack up like it's the first time I'm watching. I think with comedy and especially comedy anime, it shines best when simple. Saiki is the embodiment of that; simple, reliable, and funny. The humor might not be for everyone, but I feel confident in saying that it's for most people. It's at times over top and you find yourself giggling at the hilarity of the situations, and sometimes you find yourself giggling at the simplicity of them. I think many people try to derive/expect a lot more substance from the characters than they need to, and going back to my point about simple being best, you lose much enjoyment from expecting more like…

The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. was one of the most enjoyable anime experiences I've had in a long time. Its comedy was consistently hilarious, but let's put aside the obvious praise that everyone already gives this series.
What truly surprised me was how consistent its quality remained throughout the entire season. The pacing was remarkably stable, with very little fluctuation. I honestly expected the series to lose its charm because this type of comedy anime often becomes repetitive after only three or four episodes, eventually turning boring due to a lack of variety. That's exactly what I'm worried about for Season 2.
Another essential element for this kind of anime is the cast. A strong cast is literally the foundation of a comedy series like this, and thankfully Saiki K. has an outs…

The best Japanese comedy anime I've ever watched, and I'm not exaggerating.
Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan was the work that truly changed my perspective on comedy anime. Before, I'd watch a few here and there, but I never took the genre very seriously. This season, however, was the turning point: it showed me how intelligent, dynamic, and absurdly funny a comedy can be when well-executed.
Along with Gintama, this is one of the only works that made me truly laugh, in that uncontrollable way. But, for me, Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan goes beyond that. It has an absurd replay value; it's practically the "Chaves of anime." No matter how many times you watch it, the jokes still work, the timing remains perfect, and you still find yourself laughing as if it were the first time. I've rewatched episodes several…

Saiki K is a show that you can pick up and put down whenever you want. I have rewatched this show at least 10 times at this point and I love most of the characters.
There are some episodes that don't hit as hard as others but you can skip episodes and not miss anything important for the most part.
The EN dub is amazing and just makes the show even better to watch. If you just want a lighthearted show to watch and laugh at and keep you engaged the whole time, this is the show for you. Saiki K features a bunch of characters all having vast and different personalities, and there's something for everyone to enjoy.
Humor is subjective but if you like deadpan then this show will hit even harder. Many of the voice clips from this show have gone viral, and that also shows its staying power.…

Being born a psychic might seem like a blessing to some; for teenager Saiki Kusuo it's more of a double edged–sword. While he was gifted with incredible powers, it came at the cost of the thing he wants most: a peaceful and quiet life.
Sure being able to teleport, manipulate time, and petrify people, are grand powers that could be used to fight evil. Saiki would rather spend his days lazing around.
However, as the saying goes, with "great powers comes great responsibilities". even if those responsibilities are helping his parents settle an argument, protecting the world from his mad–scientist older brother, or saving his friends from their own stupidity, Saiki's life is anything but peaceful.
What really sold The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. for me was the rapid-fire comedy, watching…

Its a good anime. Amazing even, though i cannot tell when saiki is talking because he is always thibking and never opens his mouth, i only know hes is talking when its to his parents cuz they know about his telepathy. Saikis commentary on their thought are hilarious and i also love how saikis always trying to blend in but after like 70 his friends is always keeping him occupied. This is a good comedy gag anime and even with short short episodes they are still as funny as normal ones and satifies the criteria of any comedy anime. I wonder if he is still no-oh in season 2

Good. Funny. Was initally biased against because of the fanbase, but I understand the appeal. It's kind of like watching TikToks with how fast the pace is, but somehow, it works. Although, fair warning, watching sub is not for the faint of heart. Looking away will drastically ruin the experience because of just hoe quickly everything progresses.
It's pretty mind numbing and doesn't have really any specfiic plot points, but that's kind of the point. It's even addressed in the show. That may go against what many watchers find appealing in shows, but for those who enjoy crack cocaine infused with a japanese occult johnny test, this might just be gold.
If you genuinely have nothing else to watch, and are just bored and need to avoid your dopamine levels crashing... I'd say give this one a sh…

This anime is really enjoyable. While it may not be extremely funny, it is certainly funny enough to keep me entertained. I particularly like the topics and scripts of the episodes. Interestingly, even though it's not a continuously ongoing series, it managed to grip me so much that I always made time to watch it, even when I was very busy.
As I mentioned earlier, I really appreciate the ideas behind the anime—not just for the scenarios but also for the characters. Nendou and Kaidou, in particular, stood out to me as incredibly interesting, and they brought me a lot of laughs. Toritsuka was also hilarious, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching him as well.
I also liked how the episodes are divided into short, five-minute segments. I'm not sure why, but this format made it much easier to watc…

This is a comedy series by definition with a little romance sprinkled in. I have experienced a lot of funny moments in different shows but Saiki is in its own league. You would have sworn the show's creator was a comedian themself. The pure hilarity of the characters and the shenanigans will stick with you long after you watch it. It is definitely worth rewatching. The English dub is one of the few examples of a great dub for any anime series. Season 2 did not get a English dub unfortunately but I highly recommend watching that after this season. If you love comedy anime, you will love this series.

the only anime to make me laugh out loud. still mourning the loss of Netflix dub not voicing season 2, the dub is what made the whole anime more funny. still a very good anime, one of my comfort shows. Honestly, the enjoyment of the show depends on the person. The show has some very funny characters and I hope that they make a dub for season 2 because that is what made the anime more enjoyable in my opinion. Saiki is a goated character and is the part that makes the series even more enjoyable. The only thing I don't like about the anime is that stupid 100 episode where they just said 100 a bunch, it was dumb lowkey. I love also how they break the 4th wall a bunch. anyways good funny anime.

The golden standard of comedy anime. I just cannot recommend this enough.
Even if a joke or two misses, there's another coming straight at you. They may not be the funniest, they may not leave you in stitches, but it's not about being the funniest or the best. The sheer pace and volume of comedy is like you're being pummeled in the face with jokes. Pow, pow. What's that? You're on the floor and the referee is counting to ten? Get up, Saiki is about to bite your ear off.
Ding ding.
Round 2.
Basically, Saiki's humor is best described as "it's enough to keep you exhaling air out of your nose faster than normal for 20 minutes straight". Is every joke going to have you rolling on the floor? No, I'd be lying if I said so, but some land harder than others. Saiki's unhinged reactions while kee…

very fun to watch with great characters and dynamics and meta humor.
next to that saiki is super relatable from his psychic powers, to the people around him and the problems he faces, but despite that it still doesn't make it annoyong like one of those anime where you already know everything and still a lot happens actually.
actually this show is pretty much almost a exact clone of my life, but then japanized(japanese housings, family styles and food), and more lighthearded. but many parts are almost like a exact clone, from the characters he runs into and has to deal with as well as how he preffers to deal with them, other challanges, in some cases even pretty much entire encounters and events are like exact clones, and regularly even more.
the main only difference is that it is in japan…

I watched saiki in the middle of quarantine and oh my god i love this show
so, its about this not so silly dude (actually very silly) who has psychic powers and has a disastrous life thanks to the people surrounding him. the characters are lovable, and it will make you laugh (bet 10 dollars on this)
i have a problem rewatching series, but every now and then i rewatch saiki because it has bocome a comfort show.
The animation is good, the characters are fun and compliment each other, and the music is amazing. The art style is also so perfect for the story, since it goes from serious to stupid real quick, and its amazing.
ily saiki u saved my life

This is a show that I feel bad for not liking that much, because the biggest issue I have with it, really isn’t this show’s fault. And that is the animation. Now I’m not going to bash a show for a poor budget, nor am I going to praise a show just because the animation is good. But with this show in particular, the jokes just fall completely flat due to the lack of energy the animation has. All of the jokes are told so simply and directly that, even though they are hilarious and the cast of characters are amazing, they just are presented in a way that feels like they didn’t care about the jokes. Which I know isn’t the truth. The jokes lack energy. The build-ups aren’t built up enough and the reveals and payoff aren’t shocking enough. Just take a look at their jokes and imagine if it was tol…

Good comedy series that sometimes plays around with cool concepts. You should expect to laugh. You should not expect any epic battles, intense drama, or heartfelt emotional moments. What Saiki K does in comedy, and it does it the right way (most of the time).
Most of the humor from this series comes from the characters and their interactions. It is divided into shorts that normally take a bit to build up to the reveal of a big joke or have several jokes revolving around one concept. It does not use a lot of slapstick humor or repetitive stuff you would see somewhere else.
This series actually does reference humor the right way. It makes direct references, sometime calling out the name exactly, but doesn't make the reference the entire joke. This allows people who wouldn't get the referen…

Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan presents a distinctive comedic approach that utilizes humor as a standout feature, consistently delivering laughs throughout its 120-episode run. While the episode count may seem daunting, the series' pacing is well-executed, with short five-minute episodes that efficiently deliver their punchlines without overstaying their welcome, keeping the humor fresh and engaging.
One of the show's greatest strengths is its self-awareness, as it humorously pokes fun at various anime stereotypes and breaks the fourth wall on multiple occasions. While some jokes may require a level of familiarity with Japanese culture, the majority are accessible to a broader audience.
Surprisingly, amidst the comedic chaos, the main character, Saiki, undergoes gradual development over the series…

I discovered this anime a long time ago, but only now wrote a review, before I wasn't too interested in writing reviews about anime.
Just sharing a little experience, that this anime was quite popular in its time, especially on Facebook, there were lots of posts about Saiki, but I wasn't at all interested in watching it, the reason is very simple, because seeing the visuals of Saiki himself which looks strange and eccentric, expressionless, two alien-like horns on his head.
However, because I was looking for a comedy themed anime, finally this anime was on my watch list, and Wow, it turns out this anime is really good, the proof is that I have re-watched the entire series 3 times, But slowly this anime starts to lose its sense of humor, it's not comparable when you first watch it.

The disastrous life of Saiki K is a hilarious and genius slice of life supernatural comedy.
As I've stated before reviewing comedies is difficult as we have to focus on the humor and not the overall plot. But Saiki is different as it has actual plot progression. New characters are introduced or events occur that carry over to episodes after.
The plot of Saiki follows an ultra powerful God level psychic named Saiki whom tries his best to conceal his powers from society and live a normal life while attending school.
His powers include PK, Telepathy, teleportation, clairvoyance, invisibility, pyrokinesis, super strength and many many more. There really is no limit to Saiki's powers. No seriously, there isn't. He teleported an entire hotel into the middle of the ocean once and destroyed…

The genre of comedy is probably one of the hardest genres to master. Since comedy is extremely subjective, it can be really hard to produce a comedic masterpiece. As a result, I have a lot of respect for Saiki K, as I think it achieved what many other comedic works wish to achieve.
Story: 10
Note - This anime doesn't really have much of a story. Rather, it's episodic and features different scenarios in each episode.
Saiki K is easily one of the best written comedy anime of all time. Usually, comedies tend to be hit or miss, especially on an episode to episode basis. Yet, nearly early single episode of Saiki K managed to at the very least leave me with a huge smile. I was quite impressed with how consistently funny the anime managed to be.
Comedies are probably some of the hardest things…
