it is actually feels like hachi the bee trying to find his mama which we dk until the end of the novel whether aya will find her body lol, it will slip every single time cuz aya has another case and have to fight moriarty army instead of moriarty himself. This is a classic detective x supranatural trope which is very enjoyable but then it caught me off guard when the author lover crowdy plot bringing all the enemies together without actual progress while she is solving random case. The anime art style feels so much better than the manga, I hate the crowdy plot but the solving case despite being a bit predictable is very interesting and enjoyable

Fun, sad, colorful, dark, dumb, and smart. Undead Girl Murder Farce is a wild mixed bag that manages to balance every single one of these vibes perfectly.
Built on an incredibly cool and unique premise (a disembodied, immortal head traveling in a birdcage alongside two peculiar individuals), the show follows a trio of supernatural detectives through a beautifully gothic, 19th-century Europe. The story is structured around murder mysteries filled with monsters, literary figures, and classic detective tropes. Honestly? I enjoyed every second of it. It takes everything I love about the monster mystery genre and delivers.
The animation sometimes does insane shots and mixes light and dark a lot (I was obsessed), but overall it's a pretty simple design that works. It also loves to occasionally…

Arsène Lupin, Sherlock Holmes, vampires, werewolves, Frankenstein, Jack the Ripper and many other cult characters live in the same universe. The main characters, an immortal head, her assistant and a demon, act as detectives and investigate various cases related to monsters. The Japanese know how to combine things that at first glance seem impossible to combine, and moreover, it is always harmonious and logical. The beginning was very intriguing. I expected the detective component to come first, that it would be something like The Witcher. But unfortunately, it was not a adult serious anime and the detective part is not shown much. As always, there was a lot of cringe humor, unbearable pathos, clichéd characters and plot points, and tons of fan service. The potential was just crazy, but in…

Undead Girl Murder Farce.... Honestly from that name i actually expected some zombies? This is one of the few shows i entered 100% blind, not even seeing any part of it anywhere. Or at least anything i can remember. And that played in my favour really, as this one's all about mystery solving.
The show starts wierdly enough with a completely different premise,of blood sports kinda fights between monsters. That's where the final member of a more morbid Mystery Gang gets recruited from. That guy being our...MC? Goes by the name of Shinuchi Tsugaru. But even if we are introduced to him first and foremost,he honestly doesn't feel like a proper MC. That's a role shared by him and Aya in equal measure.
The cinematography in this one's is for the most part real good. The animation is... all over…

Undead Murder Farce has a very unique take on Victorian Era mystery. The premise is interesting enough to keep you hooked; never wanting to drop the show.
Character Design: 8/10
The characters themselves are all fleshed out with their own set of quirks. There's not a single main/side character who just looks "generic". The only reason I don't give a 10/10 is because some characters don't really fit the overall Victorian Era vibe the show is trying to give off.
Mystery Aspect: 9/10
There aren't any popular tropes used in the storytelling. The writing of the mysteries feels very authentic. All of the detectives' deductions are reasonable, to the point that even I was able to deduce some of the clues myself. I think that's a good thing, though, because watching a show where you can't play…

Undead Girl Murder Farce manages to catch the attention with a flashy poster and interesting premise, at the same time succeeding to keep you interested throughout the show, and never letting go of mysterious veil and the impression of farce.
Foremost, it's important to understand, that any work of art incorporates multiple genres into it, even if it claims to be only one or two. This anime is not an exception, as it closely ties immersiveness, detective action, and character-driven plot together - it's not just "fantasy & mystery", and therefore it's wrong to compare this anime to ones that are story-driven or where main characters are the "chosen one" and plot-armored.
The main cast of this show is not a main driving force of the plot, because not everything revolves around them; they'…

Undead Girl Murder Farce embraces absurdity and aesthetics from the very first episode and proceeds in the same vein, offering a wild, absurd, perhaps even corny rollercoaster ride.
The show predominantly revolves around our main cast of three characters: an immortal woman, Aya Rindo, who has lived for over 900 years; her loyal maid and servant, Shizuku; and lastly, the absurd and powerful Tsugaru, also known as the "Oni Slayer." Our cast is united by one goal: to find the mysterious man known as "The Professor," who turned Tsugaru into a half-oni, half-human hybrid; attacked Shizuku & Aya Rindo, severely wounding the former and stealing Aya Rindo's body, only leaving behind her head, resulting in her remaining stuck in a birdcage as the brains of the trio.
To find the mysterious "Profes…

A fantastic, charming adventure with a perfect balance between action and mistery.
The main characters are interesting, the villains maybe even more. The pacing is felt very natural and the different acts are well balanced. Surprisingly for me the middle arc was the peak, the episodes coming after fell off a bit, although always remained quite intriguing. The animation is not on Mappa level or anything, but it's quite nice and the actions scenes are wonderfully composed. The character dynamics are interesting, I love the main duo's quips between eachother and their personalities felt refreshingly unique.
I really hope there will be a continuation, although I feel like it didn't get advertised well enough, so a lot of people are missing out.

It was... Nice. Just nice
Definitely my vibe (I love Kuroshitsuji, Vanitas no Karte, and Moriarty the patriot - all set in victorian era, all about solving mysteries, all with an exceptionally strong and intelligent protagonist, almost all having Sherlock Holmes and Jack the Ripper), but I feel like everything was just too chaotic. We've got few short arcs, a LOT of characters, glimpses of individual storylines, but I feel like nothing was fully developed, except the last one about werewolves.
In conclusion, it was quite an unsatisfying watch, mainly due to the lack of coherence and superficiality of the presented story
But the vibe was good, I guess...

Undead Girl Murder Farce has an exceptional first episode — one that promises a great cast, creative direction, and kick-ass fights. All those elements remain throughout the show, diluted somewhat. On top of that, it (being a novel adaptation) features impressive mystery writing… with one caveat.
The core cast is strong, and all have fun dynamics with each other. Oni MC Shinuchi Tsugaru has a fun comedic dynamic with both of the other leads. He and severed head/detective Aya have a Holmes and Watson type relationship, and constantly try to outwit each other with dad jokes (this is one of the many dynamics that make it obvious this is a novel adaptation). His more direct boke-tsukkomi rapport with battle maid Shizuku is entertaining when it shows up. He also (as his name implies) does raku…

Undead Murder Farce is a unique anime with an ambitious, bizarre, and ultimately promising core, which starts our very strong but quickly loses steam by the middle, soon becoming a confused, overwrought, and unappealing mess, with even the initially visionary art direction falling to pieces during a rushed and unfulfilling final arc. In short, Undead Murder Farce is a disappointment, and moreover, like its name implies, a farce. Let's begin with the story, which bears most of this anime's worst sins. One thing that this show has going for it is that it has an interesting, malleable premise, complete with the potential for a ton of mileage. The concept of a half-monster monster hunter teaming up with the severed head of an immortal girl and her loyal maid to help track down her missing body…

Well, it’s not a terrible show or anything, but I have mixed feelings.
We’ll start with the good. It’s a very artistic and visually interesting anime in a way I don’t feel like I typically see, with music that, while not game-changing, did grow on me a lot as the series went on (gonna have “jiri-jiri to” stuck in my head forever) and the mysteries aren’t bad either, with the solution of the last one being particularly interesting, though they’re very Holmes in terms of how difficult-to-impossible they are to solve based on the clues you're given. Its clear research and attention to detail is also very impressive. Given anime’s usual track record both with adapting public domain characters and depicting European languages, history, and locations, I was very surprised to learn from my Germa…

ABSOLUTE GREAT Premise for the first vampire arc, UNDEAD MURDER FARCE Anime deliver the plot swiftly and make it unexpected and also not too hard to be understand 👍
And for the middle of the show, from theories to execution Is good enough to be done, but for myself, some decision Made by the core characters make some tiny hole mistake if we thinking rationally, but i still prefer to think that the plot still good and interesting enough if we think the smartest and skillfull human/non human Can still make mistakes 🤣🤫
And for the end of the show,
THIS ANIME REALLY MAKES ME THRILLED BY THE PLOT AND HOW ITS CONNECTING ONE PLOT TO EACH ANOTHER, 🔥❤️🔥
I know for some people who arent expert to case solving and only the one that only want to enjoy the anime without thinking much Is going…

This seems to have flown under a lot of radars. I suspect many people watched the first two eps, and threw their hands up, wondering what this was all about, then gave up.
Please don't. It takes a while to flesh out the characters. Remember, the MC has no body. Her maidservant seems to be a robot, and their back-up is pretty much a dick. But that's just the surface layer. As each episode passed, these characters move from total dysfunction to a cohesive squad. Slow, but ultimately solid, character development, design and writing.
The narrative writing is fine, too. Besides our main troop, there is a mish-mash of supernatural beings, and an assortment of famous 19th century literary mystery protagonists. It sounds like a recipe for trainwreck, but the writers use short arcs to solve the…

This anime is a good breather. You get to meet historical figures and many waifus and all but those deductions of Aya is so fun to watch. I am trying if I can solve the case faster but plot takes it away. Anyway the concept of an anime with so many species inside is just wonderful. Not a bad watch a very good if I may say. I like this genre very much even tho it gets a little bit repetitive. I ship Shizuku and Carmilla.. and my fave waifu is definitely Nora or Jutte. Such a cutie and those dead eyes. I like the style, content, plot and art. Yogiri Approves.

Animation 7/10 Music 8/10
Story 8/10
# Animation
The animation used is normal. the character design is very interesting by using the concept of typical creatures from 2 different countries (Japan and Europe) resulting in a unique character design. it's great to wait for the design of a character whose name is familiar to us. for a fight scene that is presented quite satisfying and fairly good for a story in the mystery genre, maybe not as dense as bungou stray dog, but quite good. The animation on the opening also looks alluring, the use of various colors reminds me a little of the opening anime paripi koumei.
But there are some parts that may be a little disturbing, namely facial animation that the nose looks blurred in certain scenes.
# Story
The story is quite unique by combining det…

i absolutely loved this anime, i'm so tired of seeing the same tired plot over and over and over again in anime and when i found this one, i was so happy because it's genuinely so good. there's a lot to be desired plot-wise, don't get me wrong, but it's still so good. the characters are likable, the plot is decent enough and i love the aesthetics. it could do with a little more world building but other than that, i thoroughly enjoyed it. it had an old-time anime feel to it like blood + mixed with the new age stuff.

Undead Girl Murder Farce is an anime that plunges its viewers into a world of mystery, and supernatural suspense. This series, while not for the faint of heart, offers a captivating experience.
The first episode, directed by Mamoru Hatakeyama, delivers a visually striking experience with its dark and mysterious art style. Hatakeyama's deliberate pacing and clever shot composition build tension effectively, seamlessly blending the mundane with supernatural elements. I really loved the cinematic way he approached some scenes and made unusual decisions in how to frame them, it reminded me of the Monogatari Series. The dialogue is concise yet engaging, revealing key plot points without sacrificing mystery. The sound design enhances the foreboding atmosphere, making the episode a promising sta…

After finishing this first season, I heavily recommend watching Undead Girl Murder Farce.
It's good on many levels, if not every one. It's an unique anime because it's a patchwork : not only does it mix different tags ( mystery, detective, almost shonen action at times, comedy ) but it also manages to blend different types of famous tales together in a coherent way.
This review won't contain any spoiler, and I'll try to describe down below the many pros and few cons of this show.

The initial mystery was very good. Although detective story connoisseurs will see the solution coming from a mile away, the step by step logical deduction with no leaps in logic make for a very interesting watch. The banter between the two main leads is also very enjoyable. However, by the 5th episode the show starts introducing too many unnecessary plot points involving various fictional and real characters from European history, and making them important to the plot. This detracts from the main drive of the show, which is simply watching a fully sentient girl's head in a birdcage solve interesting mysteries. The introduction of these flamboyant characters with unnecessary gimmicks seems more like cameos that were given way too much weight. The final mystery is again interesting, if a lit…
