while this was so fun to watch and I just binged the whole season, I have to call out the romanticizing of perverted men and whatever fantasy of women these men seems to have which is always reflected in shonen/seinen media. like believe me no woman would think "why didn't he touch me, am I that undesirable?" or will tap his lips and say "we're even now" lol. why can't we just have cute and funny love stories without making them weird? I am mad because I enjoyed it so much and this would be PERFECT if not for this flaw (which kind of ruins most animes for me especially older ones)

The characters are genuinely better than any romcom anime because they are interesting, funny, iconic and really unique. Only criticism could be that the comedy usually seems more in focus than the romance which is a thing some people don't enjoy in a romcom anime.
Watching Kaguya- sama and expecting basic romance is definitely the wrong play. Kaguya-sama doesn't do romance like other romcoms but the way the show does it is really great even though it is unique.
The comedy is surprisingly unpredictable most of the time, characters don't do things you could predict and that makes the show so much funnier than other comedy anime. The characters complete each other in the joke the show is going to make. Just watching the cast has the charm of hanging out with your friends in school mainly b…

I really enjoyed Kaguya-sama, It's definitely more of a kind of similar to Gintama more then a romance like Toradora (At least in this season, Reviewing this only while seeing the first season lol) but I definitely enjoyed it's comedy and it had so many just great scenes in this
Kaguya herself is a fantastic character to watch, Especially compared to the male character (I already forgot his name) and Chika is also the most Iconic part of this series and I mean, after watching it, I kind of understand why, I genuinely enjoyed every scene she was in because she steals the show whenever she is on scene, Ishigami I guess was okay, I might need to watch more to really enjoy him I feel since he came in a bit later compared to the other characters, Kaguyas maid was also a fantastic character for…

Another high school setting, but in this anime it feels peculiar, because we often see the student council room instead of the classrooms.
Concerning the emotions, I found it funny at times, and occasionally a bit touching when Kaguya was moved by Shirogane's actions.
I was sometimes irritated by the repetitive setting, Fujiwara's behavior, and the way the two main protagonists can't bring themselves to talk to each other... but you have to take into account the immaturity and lack of experience that come with the characters' age.
The animation is very good, the colors well chosen; Kaguya stands out with her red eyes and her beautiful hairstyle.
The music is nice but not outstanding; I appreciated the piano arrangement of the ending song at certain moments in the anime.
The story feels stu…

I went into this anime expecting a lot, as many of my friends had already watched it and sang it countless praise. While I think going in with skyhigh expectations might have affected my scoring slightly, I still think this is a very fun and well-animated anime that is worth it to watch for anyone that enjoys this genre - and even those that aren't that big into it. It's one of those that might make you like it even so.
The characters are all very endearing, even if we only go deeper into the psyche of the two protagonists. The animation is very well made, and most of the jokes land well. The directing of the anime is pretty good, and a lot of the scenes are made more engaging by it.
I heard people say that the story had no progress, and that is not entirely true. While there are some fi…

This is a perfect introduction to this series. S1 has a distinct feeling from the others, having basically just the main cast, and with the main romance being still on the “love is war” phase (get it?), so I feel this is the blueprint Love Is War season.
The concept of the main characters treating love like a war is amazing, and I’ve never seen something like this before or since, not even in later seasons, where they just admit they want to confess but don’t have the courage.
Its funny, engaging, and has good characters. Definitely give this a try if you like comedy anime and are bored with standard romance anime.

Well romance animes have a typical pattern that everyone knows about... But kaguya sama goes and breaks the pattern all along. This is by far the most unique and enjoyable romance anime ever... It lacks the warmth of a generic romance anime but it doesn't let you feel the need for that.. Because the plot itself is so interesting that it makes you stick till the end.. The complain about romance anime lacking the humour element.. Well kaguya sama revolves that.. Because the humour of this anime is really too good that you would definitely laugh hard many times in the show.. The scenarios are really hilarious and fun to watch... Further speaking the characters and really fun and well written.. The side characters are given proper justice and they add more fun to the story...
This can be call…

The intro at the start was very misleading, but I actually thought that was good!
While at the start, it explains the premise of the story in a serious, sort of death note way, where the two characters are really smart and come up with insane plots to make the other confess, it ends up being much less mature than that.
They actually act childish, meanwhile they think it's like their lives' on the line every time they interact (hence the more dark intro). It's really refreshing because THAT'S WHAT HIGH SCHOOLERS DO. To them, interacting with your crush is pretty much the same as risking everything. But to those watching, we just see kids being kids and overthinking everything.
I found that in the majority other shows based on this 'school for the rich', they make the characters act like…

I never trust the hype.
Season after season, there is always one crappy show with bland one dimensional characters, boring story and predictable development that gets hyped for reasons beyond my comprehension. And season after season, I get tempted into watching it just to confirm my initial preconceptions…
However!
From time to time, there is one (actually) great show. One that makes up for all the countless braindead crap I endured beforehand. And “Kaguya-sama: Love is War” is one of them.
As you can see by the time of writing this review, it took me a long time to watch this show (6 years lmao), and by now I’m writing to no one because everyone has already watched it. I know this, however I’m compelled to write nonetheless. May this be a testament to how good “Kaguya-sama” is. But…

This anime is absolute FIRE and deserves many more seasons! 🔥🔥
Kaguya-sama: Love is War is a perfect blend of sharp-witted comedy and heartwarming romance. The way it balances the mind games between the characters with emotional development is genius. The writing is tight, the pacing is perfect, and every episode leaves you wanting more.
One of the standout elements is the narrator—his dramatic and over-the-top style adds so much personality and energy to each scene. It’s rare to find a narrator that becomes a character in their own right, but here it completely works and adds to the unique charm of the show.
The characters themselves? Absolutely iconic. Every one of them is memorable, with real depth and growth over time. Whether you're laughing at Chika’s chaos, feeling secondhand te…

Kaguya-sama: Love Is War turns one of the simplest ideas in romance into a surprisingly elaborate psychological comedy. Instead of focusing on whether two characters will fall in love, the story begins with the assumption that love already exists. The real conflict lies in pride. Two people who clearly care about each other refuse to confess first, believing that the person who admits their feelings loses the emotional battle. The story takes place at the prestigious Shuchiin Academy, an elite institution that gathers students from wealthy families, political dynasties, and academic prodigies. Within this environment operates the student council, a group responsible for managing school activities and representing the student body.
At the center of the narrative are two members of that cou…

I have to say that while Kayuga-sama is definitely a fun anime with a novel premise and I have enjoyed it, I cannot in good conscience give it higher than a 7 because of how overhyped it is.
Before that, here's what is not overhyped: the production, the accessibility, and the cast. If you're just looking for a casual watch and have heard good things about Kayuga-sama, absolutely watch it. But I firmly believe that while it is a good show, it is not deserving of its praise.
I believe that the premise is precisely why this is: it's a battle. The show is called love is WAR, and because of this, and its good animation quality, studio, and English dub, it enticed battle shonen watchers to try it and they loved it.
Of course battle shonen watchers are known for their glazing, but the hype for…

This is the greatest romcom story of ALL TIME and in ALL MEDIUMS it's not even close.
I've already read the manga but seeing the anime and living the story yet again is always a wonderful experience.
A story about a couple of students in their youth going through life and love, about coming terms to their own feelings, about not being afraid to confess love.
And ofcourse it's not just about romance either.
The Comedy is top tier. My Jaws still hurt from all that stupid and yet so funny banter. One can't get enough out of it.
And then there's the stuff that hits harder in the gut than Truck kun on his way to Isekai mfs.
"I want to see the Fireworks with everyone."
Godddam man don't do this shit it's sooo goood.

This thing is just hilarious, that I can assure. The anime is the episodic type: inside one episode, there are "sub-episodes", each one corresponding to a "battle", usually between the main couple. The MCs internal dialogues is hilarious, that kind of overthinking and scheming that's so absurd it gets laughable. It can remind Kakegurui, but like funny and PG-13. Romance stories that are kept alive by miscommunication only is usually frustrating, but this one somehow excels at it, probably because the characters have very exaggerated traits. The only bad part is towards the ends, around episode 10, that it gets sad and static, but that soon leads to the climax of the story so it's worth it. Overall, a great romcom!

I finally saw this much-hyped anime... and honestly, it truly lives up to that hype! 😍🔥 This is no ordinary lovey-dovey kind of high-school romance. No-sir: here love is a battlefield — literally! 💘⚔️
Yes, it's a romantic-comedy, but on steroids. It is psychological, brilliant, and outrageously dramatic. No scenes with explicit connotations but with definitely an adult mentality involved. The crux of the show is: "Whoever confesses first loses"... so Kaguya and Miyuki are locked in an intense game of mind where emotion and strategy intermingle. 🎭🧠💥
Come on, don't we all in some way or the other? Especially guys 😅: afraid of rejection, afraid of damaging their friendship, hoping the other person takes the first step. And now, ladies? They'll flirt, tease…

Honestly, it was okay. I finished the series thinking we would finally get somewhere with this relationship but every episode was basically the same.
The childish way they looked at loving someone as a weakness annoyed me alot because anyone who has truly experienced love knows it's not a weakness. I know they eventually kinda realize this but it took forever.
I agree it was funny, but in no way did it deserve all the hype it recieved. Overall average. Beautiful animation and voice acting. But after a while got boring. Stick it out till season 3, atleast there's some character growth.

A story that's much more interesting than it seems. At first, the concept is quite interesting, where the two like each other but don't want to confess their feelings to each other due to the superiority and ego battle between the two. Later, we learn about their stories and contexts, which lead them to think this way, and which give a lot of context to the characters, which I think is what's worth watching here.
It's truly a love story series that's worth watching, and without a doubt, it's much more interesting than it seems. In addition to the interesting plots in each episode, the script and the resolution of these are quite funny, and you can tell they put effort into figuring out how they would end.
If you want to have a good time and also learn a very interesting story that…

Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen is a standout romantic comedy anime that masterfully blends wit, humor, and heartfelt moments. Adapted from Akasaka Aka’s manga, the series captures the essence of a battle of wits between two high school geniuses, Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane, as they devise elaborate schemes to make the other confess their love first.
What sets Kaguya-sama apart is its sharp writing and excellent comedic timing. The anime thrives on absurdly intricate situations that transform everyday interactions into grand battles of pride and intellect. The humor is consistently clever, often accompanied by exaggerated visuals and dynamic narration that amplify the comedic effect.
The characters are another strong point. Kaguya and Miyuki are both…

I didn’t initially plan to write this review, especially since I haven’t finished every season of 'Kaguya-Sama: Love is War' yet, and I’m probably not the target audience for it. I prefer to focus on what makes a show good and highlight what viewers can look forward to, but with this series, I can only offer limited insights until I've watched more. I'll save a more in-depth analysis for later seasons.
However, I felt compelled to write this because I found the show misrepresented by both MAL and a lot of its fan base. It was presented to me as primarily a comedy with romantic themes, when in reality, it's primarily a romance, with the humor built around that foundation. The series is quite effective in crafting a light-hearted atmosphere, but it achieves this through its focus on the rom…

"This show is beautiful in its story alone. I watched the first two episodes and was immediately hooked. Its cute, fun, and actually hits themes that young adults/adolescents will resonate with." ... I will not waste your time I promise
I will be writing this review after seeing the entirety of the show. This will also be my first review of an anime (which is ironic since its my second foray outside of a classic shonen or drama anime: vinland saga, jujutsu kaisen etc.).
I have always watched anime for the love of the animation, the action, the sometimes well built stories. But this production is different, it grasps what I would call 'happiness'. I started this show out of a sarcastic choice, thinking there was no way that an anime that wasn't action could ever be worth watching. '... L…
