Future Diary (Mirai Nikki) — 10/10
Future Diary is something like an absurdist Romeo and Juliet. It takes the familiar idea of doing anything for love, stretches it beyond every reasonable boundary of sanity and morality, and somehow transforms that madness into something extraordinarily beautiful.
What makes this anime so remarkable to me isn’t necessarily its death game, its mysteries, or its increasingly outrageous twists. It’s Yuno Gasai and what I consider one of the most compelling portrayals of love I’ve ever encountered in fiction.
I never doubted that Yuno loved Yukiteru. Not once.
The author managed to mislead me about plenty of things throughout the story, but for whatever reason, I never questioned the sincerity of her feelings. Her behavior could be horrifying, her intenti…

Well is the best trash anime — no, the best piece of trash media — I have ever seen in my life.
And I mean that with love.
“Dead END” is a masterpiece of an opening and will always have a special place in my heart. Is Mirai Nikki a good anime? Probably not. But some things are more than simply “good” or “bad.”
If you watch this expecting something like Fullmetal Alchemist or Steins;Gate, well... you might drop it.
But if you watch it like you would watch Scary Movie, embracing all the insanity, melodrama, questionable decisions, and ridiculous moments... you might absolutely love it.
The problems are honestly part of what makes this “masterpiece” so entertaining. Don’t overthink it. Just enjoy the chaos and be happy. :)

It was a production I wanted to watch for a long time; it was a production that caught my attention from the first moment I watched it to the final episode. It's well worked in terms of its subject matter, especially plot twist and past-future connections well established. The audience can't predict the next step while watching the production, each character is a separate mystery. The character is a well-drawn character, and the main character is a well-drawn character. The main character is Yuno; the whole theme is based on that character. I really liked it because it was the first time I saw it. Yukki is an ordinary main character; cowardly and shy. I would definitely recommend taking your time to watch.

People who used their flip-phone as a diary can now get premonitions through their phone (or whatever else they used as a diary) based on the stuff they originally kept track of.
The god who granted them this power put them in a death game where they need to find and kill each other. The winner becomes god.
Your phone is also literally your life line as if it gets destroyed so do you.
The MC Yukiteru is approached by a yandere Yuno. A yandere with a few skeletons in her closet. She will do anything to be with him and anything to keep him safe.
Yuno is the best character. Despite being the deuteragonist she is pretty much the most competent person. The MC is pretty much just along for this crazy ride.
The anime balances the comedy with the seriousness very well so it doesn't feel jarring…

I really wanted to watch this anime 3 years ago until now, but I only had the chance to watch it now, and I'm writing this review to show appreciation and, at the same time, the downside of this show.
Mirai no Nikki is for the people who love suspense and thriller because it's something the show executed well. I don't know about other shows with the same genre because I'm only getting into the psychological genre. Mirai no Nikki caught my attention in the early episodes, and it really hooked me fast. The introduction, the characters, the suspense, and the dark scenes were all so flawless to me. Even the soundtrack captured every scene. Going into the later episodes, the revelations really caught me off guard. They executed them well, and they left no plot holes in the story.
Now, for the…

I watched this show when I was in middle school and putting nostalgia and personal feelings to the side this is a really poorly-written show.
The premise well not anything outstanding at first glance does have a lot of potential especially with the ways they could utilizes diaries in this battle royal setting and the first episode gets you hooked enough but quickly you encounter issue such as: inconsistent tone, shallow characters and insane amount of plot convenience that really shatter your suspension of disbelief. Despite this it’s definitely one of those turn-off your brain and enjoy the ride shows.

Absolute cinema
This anime got me hooked and i couldnt stop watching. Some parts might sound a bit confusing at first, but trust me on this one and just keep watching. It'll all make sense together, and you will enjoy the true meaning of the show.
The ending was better than I expected and i felt like the director already did its best to do the ending. I do not care how many people say this anime is bad, just ignore all of them and try it out.
I hope more and more people can find out on this anime (okay maybe not as i want to gatekeep this as if it isnt already 39th on the popularity leaderboard) and it really leaves me astonished after finishing, and struggling to find something else that gives the same feeling as this anime.

This anime is a classic. But it is also unapologetic.
If you’re curious or interested in it, you know exactly what you’re looking for.
Gore, crazy and obsessive girls, ecchi, absurd clashes, traumatizing backstories, surprising plot twists, more gore...
And, lucky for you, that’s exactly what you’re gonna get.
As I’ve said before, this anime is a classic, and was therefore a pioneer (or at least popularized) of certain tropes such as the Psycho Yandere and has also catapulted the importance of the High Stakes Game/Battle Royale genre (I know that other works about it existed before this one, but when one thinks of Battle Royale, one usually thinks of Mirai Nikki, right?). However, in this specific anime, the winner of the game will become God. Literally.
Speaking of gods, at least 3 o…

When I started watching Future Diary, the thing that immediately pulled me in was the mystery surrounding Yuno Gasai. From early on she behaves in a way that almost feels like she knows how events will play out. That alone made the story much more interesting to follow, because it constantly felt like there was a hidden layer behind everything happening.
Yuno is honestly one of the most extreme characters I’ve seen, but somehow it works perfectly in the world this anime creates. At first her feelings toward Yukiteru Amano feel more like pure obsession than love but as the story keeps revealing small pieces of the bigger picture, her character becomes more interesting. I won’t spoil anything, but the mystery around her is easily one of the best parts of the show. Now Yukiteru himself… I’ll…

Strengths
1. A Captivating Concept
The idea of the future diaries is original and effective. Each diary has different rules and limitations, allowing for interesting strategic confrontations. The battle royale principle, combined with the manipulation of time and information, maintains constant tension, especially in the first half of the series.
2. An Iconic Antagonist
Yuno Gasai is undoubtedly the main reason why Mirai Nikki is still so widely discussed today. Unpredictable, violent, but sometimes tragic, she leaves a lasting impression on the viewer. Her relationship with Yukiteru is disturbing yet central, and gives the series its identity. 3. Often Effective Pacing
The anime quickly moves from one dangerous situation to another, with plot twists and character deaths. It avoids…

I just rewatched it again after a few years.
I LOVE Yuno & Yukitero as a character is not that bad (tho he is sometimes really stupid and it can get annoying occasionally). The concept is cool and the other characters were really likable.
Objectively, the story writing isn’t well done. That is undeniable. There are countless videos explaining it.
However, in my opinion, this anime is a really fun watch. It‘s super entertaining and never have I gotten bored from it slightly. Yuno is an amazing character and the story, despite its huge flaws, got me hooked. Within the first episodes I was already asking myself how the story is going to end when only one can survive. And personally, the journey to the answer to that question was amazing. Yuno and her love story were in my eyes beautiful.…

Minene is the only good thing about this show everything else is mid
Nah, but seriously, this entire plot feels like a retcon. Half of the shit that goes on throughout the story just doesn’t make sense. I feel like this is something I could only understand if I somehow lost access to my frontal lobe by installing a Neurolink directly in my brain and giving Elon Musk full control over my mind or something along those lines. And genuinely, most of the developments throughout the entirety of the show had me downright confused. I don’t think I could create a story similar to this even if I popped twelve tabs of acid followed by twenty Benadryl’s, and I don’t mean that as a compliment either because you could argue that sometimes having a spontaneous and unpredictable story works in the favor…

Watching Mirai Nikki is like stepping into a cage where time, love, and death are constantly at war. Every diary is a loaded gun, every character a pawn dancing on the edge of insanity. Blood paints the story, and trust is nothing but a cruel joke.
Yuno Gasai isn’t just a character, she’s a storm in human form. A goddess of obsession, wielding love as both a weapon and a promise of salvation. She’s terrifying. She’s intoxicating. She’s the reason you can’t look away.
Yet, shadows remain. Some players in this deadly game are left underdeveloped, and the godlike puppeteer behind it all whispers questions that will never find answers. But maybe that’s exactly why it lingers, because madness is never neat, and obsession never makes sense.
Mirai Nikki doesn’t ask if you’re ready. It drags yo…

This is an absolute favourite of mine, I recommend this to absolutely everyone. I'll start by saying that if you're looking for an expertly written, spotlessly perfect piece of media, this anime probably isn't for you. It obviously has its flaws, but that's what's so charming about it. I'll keep this spoiler free.
PLOT:
The plot is unique and interesting, made me cry multiple times. Everyone has their own reason for winning so you'll probably end up feeling bad for at least one of them at some point. I think the ending is great, you will most likely be satisfied with it no matter what you wanted for the characters. If you aren't, watch the redial after. Even if you are satisfied with the ending, still watch the redial, you're basically skipping the last episode if you don't.
ANIMATION:

I had fun watching it. The animation was pretty decent for its time/The art style was...fine ig...Its nothing special but it ain't bad.
The best part about this anime is the unique premise it has.(Death game +Future predictions serving as the power system in the shape of a phone+ The winner gets to be God+ anime's most recognizable Yandere)
There aren't many such anime in these current times that would make me feel so entertained and flabbergasted. The hate Mirai nikki gets is undeserved and unwarranted, most people are over-exaggerating the shows weak points, making them out to be some sort of fatal flaws. (These same people praise Elfen Lied btw.) All I can say is that I had fun ,Mirai nikki was definitely a product of its time and it's unlikely we will ever see anything like it.(Unless…

Mirai nikki huh, imagine if you have a device that can help you "see the future" and everyone's gadgets have their own uniqueness to see the future, there are a total of 12 users of the future dairy, who are the last man standing who will replace the position of the god of space and time.
That might give you an idea / expectation that this anime will show the participants of this survival game will kill each other brutally, yes you will get that feel but not that great, especially as the story of this anime is increasingly unclear where it is going, I was actually quite disappointed and had time to drop but I kept going because of the "heroin" maybe?, gasai yuno, a yandere girl who is willing to kill anyone for the sake of amano yukiteru/yukki, I was curious about what was being kept secr…

Okay. Here's my first ever review on this website. (free from spoilers btw)
I don't have much to say, simply because this series left me speechless. It's absolutely amazing. The plot, the way the story line develops, not to mention the plot twists. Unlike other movies and series I've seen, I couldn't predict the plot twists at all, whatsoever. But that doesn't mean that this series doesn't have it's bad parts.
I feel like it's one of those things like "good idea, bad execution", but in this case its more of a "amazing idea, meh execution" kinda thing. I'm not saying that the animators got lazy or something, that's definitely not the case - but the general feel that the animation gave me near the end of the series didn't get me NEARLY as excited as it did in the beginning. I wish that it…

I LOVE Mirai Nikki (AKA Future Diary). The animation style isn't amazing, although it isn't bad either. The plot twists are great, the mystery aspect was great also. I know people often dislike the series because there is a yandere in it, (possessive girlfriend) but it isn't in the story for no reason at all, it contributes to the plot and really makes you question who Yuno is.
You can take it from me since I've watched over 200 (at the point of writing this) and I've only given 2 anime a 10/10. (Just this and Re:zero).
Would DEFINITELY RECCOMEND.

I struggle to call this a "good" show but it's definitely entertaining.
Like seven different girls have their tits out, nipples included, two of those are either during or shortly after their rape-involved backstories, there is a lot of shitty CGI, the MC is a crybaby, it has flaws for sure but it's a fun show and that's all that I can ask for, given some of the shit I've seen this year alone
Unlike a certain show I've seen that also has 12 holders of the titular object, this DOES have fun battles and stuff throughout, which I am very happy with. Given that there are 12 diary holders and 26 episodes, the pacing is pretty snappy and it's always moving, which does have its drawbacks.
Let's talk about the diary holders.
The First (aka our MC) is, as I described above, a bitch. A whiny cry…

Dropped after watching just the second episode. This is also my second time trying to watch this anime.
The first episode presents the main protagonists and the premises upon which the show will run, which is a game where every participant has a "future diary" that lets them see the future. The final goal of the game is to kill everyone else so as to become the god of Time and Space, the guy who set up this game in the first place.
I personally don't find this premise amazing but I think it has potential to make up for a great show, but upon watching the second episode I realized the writers had bad writing skill and it becomes a giant mess in the second episode already. It was boring, cringey, childish and led me to think this couldn't get any better on the following episodes.
Thank Go…
