just finished watching this show again, and yeah… my heart is melting once more.
cause like who would've known it's going to have such comforting vibes? yeah, there's nothing special happening in terms of plot here, but the overall atmosphere and characters' interactions? they are just amazing. the boarding house thing?? best choice ever.
but yeah, considering the fact that it was produced by Brain's Base, we can see some signs for sure. it's just so soothing and colorful, and the fact that it doesn't go too fast? amazing.
speaking of ritsu… oh man, i loved her even more this time. cause she's just so soft-spoken! you literally can't see the change in her personality but yet when you pay close attention, you understand the progress that this girl has made.
plus, the jokes? still funny as…

This is honestly such a relaxing break. It’s the kind of anime you watch when you just want to unwind and enjoy something light, sweet, and a little chaotic. The whole atmosphere feels warm and comforting, a mix of romance, awkward 15+ moments (you know exactly what I mean), friendship, and that everyday slice‑of‑life charm. And of course, books. So many books. Kawai’s love for reading is basically a personality trait at this point, and it adds such a cute touch to the story. Watching her quietly exist in her own world while everything around her is pure chaos is honestly adorable. The characters, the humor, the soft romantic tension, it all blends into a really pleasant, easy‑to‑watch anime that gives you a break from everything else. Simple, sweet, and surprisingly memorable.

Nice Artwork,Nice Storytelling,Nice Dialog,Nice Comedy
if you love romance, its recommend to read the manga after Anime
because the Anime is just 1/4 the whole story
one thing that dissapointing in this anime Is just that the anime was not fully completed
but beside of that the Anime was very good, for me how the studio present the story was very good, and the artwork Is so much improved than the manga
and the story Is very light, its very good for someone that tired and wanna watch something light and good this Anime is the answer
so im really recommend this Anime for you,oh yeah and the Opening and Ending is very good im never skip the Op and ed

A bit slow at first but once you understand the plot you realize how underrated this anime is. This isn’t your typical romance anime. The way they go about this romance is more realistic. Now sure the side characters are out of this world but I think that’s what helps the two main characters. Plus blushing Rit-Chan is a treat for all
I think for those who enjoy’s boarding school anime I think you’ll like this. It’s more old school animation but the animation is still great. It’s not all cutesy and bubbly which is refreshing. Im definitely going to read the manga and/or light novel so I can see what happens hopefully there more to this story.

Well, well, well, if it isn't Bokura Wa Minna Kawaisou, or as I like to call it, "The Adventures of the Quirky Roommates." This anime has got a lot going for it, so let's break it down, shall we?
First off, the story is pretty solid. It follows the daily lives of our two main characters, Usa and Ritsu, as they navigate their new living arrangements at the Kawai Complex. It's a simple premise, but it works well and keeps you engaged.
Moving on to the art style, I have to say, it's quite charming. The character designs are adorable, and the backgrounds are beautifully detailed. It really adds to the overall experience of the show.
Speaking of our two main characters, they are definitely the heart and soul of t…

tl;dr: An anime with decent but slow moving relationship development in the main couple and really good comedy with a strangely likable cast of characters.
This anime is centered around the Kawai Complex, a boarding house that’s full of strange people, where a high school student named Usa starts living. Usa, is a great protagonist because he’s someone who’s able to empathize with people who are completely different from him. This results in him falling in love with fellow boarding house member Ritsu who is a major bookworm that seems to not want to have to deal with the stress of bonds and starts off the series spending most of her time alone just reading. However, Usa is good at giving her space and trying to form a connection with her in a way that accommodates her personality, so he m…

even if you dont binge watch it and watch it in breaks then also the story will seem to be interesting and you will not get bored i can say that much.
the story is about a bookworm and and a guy who has fallen for her and coincidentally they live in the same hostel. though a simple theme but very beautifully depicted.
the animation is very beautiful almost like kyoto animation, very light hearted and colorful
appropriate use of humor and dirty jokes is done in the script.
as usual voice acting upto the mark. KANA HANAZAWA giving her best as always and the rest of them also doing great.
the OP is sung by fhana and is awesome and the ED is performed by the cast of the anime which is also very good.
character design and development is SUBARASHI, with each character having their own spec…

It was 8,96 for me with my own aspects of review..this anime has a romance story aspect that is very relatable to today's youth, watching it in a single condition adds to its own satisfaction, hahaha...(someone, does anyone want to be my girlfriend?). The audio visuals are good for 2014 anime quality..maybe even better than some of the anime currently airing. On the objective side, perhaps the only drawbacks that can be felt are aspects of the story that are still lacking... because the storytelling given is only perfunctory in everyday life without being hyperbolize. And of course, there's no season 2 that makes me want to read the manga as soon as possible
there's nothing else I can say to you readers other than telling you to watch this great anime right away. this is my first review,…

When I give this show a 10/10, by no means am I saying it is a flawless, unmatched work of art. I feel like a "perfect 10" show isn't something that makes no errors, but one that succeeds, beyond expectations, everything it sets out to do. Kawai-sou does that for me. It is my all time favorite slice-of-life/romance.
I'd also consider it a comedy, and while it's not my favorite comedy, it is really, REALLY damn funny. Shirosaki's masochism, Sumiko's iron-fist over the tenants, and the dynamic between Mayumi and Sayaka are hilarious. They bounce off each other so well, that if they're not making you laugh, there's a good chance you're cracking a smile.
Others have commented on the presentation, which I agree is stunning, as well as the romance, which is perfectly paced. One reason why I…

I saw this anime when I was 14 years old and one of my hobbies was reading, I remember how happy I was when I saw that the protagonist was a reading girl, I have a very nice memory of this story.
The animation is very beautiful and detailed, and the story of a boy who arrives at an inn and meets very peculiar people and the girl of his dreams, although it is somewhat cliché, is one that I really enjoy.

This show had so much potential... It's such a shame we probably won't see the whole story, because I'm sure it would be one of those shows, I'd recommend to my friends as one of the best romance shows I've seen. I've written a full review on the source material, so I'll just add some details here.
Voice acting
Absolutely perfect. Usa's and Ritsu's voice actors did a really good job. As I've read the manga, I had some voices made up, and the anime completely exceeded my expectations. Usa's is perfectly fit for the comedy scenes, and Ritsu's just overall CUTE AF!!! The only offsetting thing is Sumiko's voice. After finding out, her voice actor also voiced Satsuki from Ichigo 100%, I just couldn't see my favorite anime grandma the same way as before.

When I started watching this anime, I first fell for the art. It is so pretty, truly a joy to look at. I loved every scene, especially when there was a lot of greenery around. If you are watching this, definitely get a big screen and the best quality version you can find.
The characters are a mix of different personalities and they are all unique and oddly likeable. They each have their own quirks and some are weirder than the others, but they come together nicely, they genuinely care about each other and it makes for a really fun and tight group of people. As for the story, it is heart-warming. It's like eating soft cotton candy on a breezy summer day. This might just be the cutest anime I watched this year.

Aren’t we all just a bunch weirdos...
The name of this anime came to me through many videos called “Funny anime moments” and as such titles in Youtube. And it was in the hard disk of my pc for quite a long time until I finally decided to watch it.
It was unexpectedly good. But I liked the characters more than the plot.
Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou is the daily life story of the people living in the Kawai complex but also it is the story of a teenage boy pursuing his senpai to get closer to her (this is the boring part).
The Kawai Complex is literally the carnival of weirdoes living in. There is Shirosaki, the ultimate definition of a masochist, Mayumi, the one who is bad with alcohol and relationships, Sayaka, the university student with a sweet yet sharp tongue, Ritsu, the bibliophile and…

Ok, so bear with me. Im going to keep this short and simple. Im not seeing many "10"s for this anime. I try to watch as many different genres as possible, but I always tend to gravitate towards slice of life animes. So with that being said, I've seen a ton over the years. For some reason I didn't get around to finding this one until recently. The reason this Anime swept me up, isn't the story. Its pretty generic in the slice of life/romance genre, but the art style is amazing. The designers and artists went all out with the effects and cuts, especially as this isn't some flashy action anime. Its a simple slice of life. The constant cut aways and colours make this simple story such a blast to watch. Just like many other slice of life animes, the comedy is wholesome and if you're into these…

Bokura Wa Minna Kawaiso Review
-The Kawai Complex Guide to Manors and Hostel Behavior
By: Ruri Miyahara
(January 30, 2019)
Overall: 9.4
Plot: 9
This story focuses on a young boy who wanted to live his school life at peace. He wanted to have a normal teenage life and just enjoy being a student. Well, you can never get things the way you want it, most of the time. This series shows how troublesome life can get, how how relationships between human are formed, how trust follows. The romance is slow pace but the comedy attached to this story is really funny. This feels like watching Kimi ni Todoke but a lighter one. Such story that is pure and cute and a big plot is not needed. It's just a daily routine and everyday life in a complex with different kind of people. Complicated but fun, troub…

Overall the show succeeded in presenting an interesting and funny depiction on the typical romance format, with it focusing more so on the humor than the actual romance between the two leads. Though it should be said the romance established within the story is still endearing and entertaining to watch unfold slowly over the course of its 12 episodes. My main issue arises from the wasted potential on some of the characters, as unfortunately most of the supporting cast are completely two dimensional even after events that would influence their outlook or personality, making them feel unmemorable. This is similar to the setting itself, as by the around the 4th episode it begins to fade into the background entirely and ends up being another generic location.

Bokura wa minna is a wonderful slice of life with a romantic touch. It's nice how the story and animation is carried out, the relationship of each of the characters and the comic situations in a natural way. With beautiful teachings about life.
They present us with completely opposite characters that are able to unfold in a wonderful way throughout history and develop a unique romance between the protagonist and his beloved and surprisingly doesn't become repetitive.
A comedy that doesn't disappoint you and doesn't get boring at any time.
The opening and ending are pleasant in the visual and sound.
Good design of characters.

This anime has no particular deep plot like most comedy types, just a High School boy Kazunari Usa and his wish to live a normal independent high school life (like that ever goes well in a school genre) and there's a Senpai he wants to impress as well.
One thing that literally shines bright in this anime is the AMAZING ANIMATION, I haven't seen many animes but I'd say that the animation style itself goes hand-in-hand with the flow of the anime, looks colorful, detailed, cheerful and overall GREAT. Keep in mind this is an anime from 2014.
The simplest of expressions have so much details in them. The character design are also well made.

An anime adaptation of a not-so-big big but popular enough series of the same name. You might be thinking "A friend of mine told me this was great but then I read a plot synopsis and saw the first bit of the first episode and sort of don't get it." Well this is exactly what nobody has said because most people lose interest after reading the "unoriginal" plot synopsis and don't actually give it a go.
So what is "Bokura wa minna Kawaisou"? Well it's about a young Usa who wants to live a simple life, but the people around him just don't let that happen, from his fellow Kawai Sou residents to his own parents, everyone loves to be...... "unique". Now, some people say this anime is bland, however from where I sit, I can't understand where that statement comes in. The colour palette makes every…

Ahh.. another slice of life, romance, high school anime that expresses the essence of youth..
The feeling of drama and mellow scenes are about to come..
(3 minutes in....)
Ahh.. everything seems normal like a Rom-Com, slice of life aura with nothing really weir--- OH LORD WTF IS HAPPENING?!!?
Yes.. that is exactly what you might think as you start watching this show but fear not, I do not mean to give a bad impression, but I actually want to express the opposite. The unexpected things this show has are positively funny and it remembers not to step on unacceptable and taboo matters. It's quite funny the way this anime treats cliches. It's like they know you're expecting them and they're also trying to say that they're aware that you are also aware. To be honest, th…
